Display (view) gone strange... HELP!
Something very strange just happened. It seems like my screen all of a sudden has gotten "too small".
Please take a look at the images below for a better illustration of what the problem is.
When I bring the mouse to the left on the screen, I can't see the date/time or the Finder looking glass in the top right corner:

Same, when I move the mouse over to the right on the screen, everything shifts (like I'm scrolling) and I can't see the apple in the top left corner:

If I drag the mouse down to the bottom of the screen, I lose the drop-down menu completely, and have to move the mouse up to the top to get it back again:

I must have pressed something by accident, because it happened while I was working.
Can anyone please help me get my display back to normal???

Check System Preferences/Universal Access. You may have turned on Zoom. This expands the screen so that it larger than your display, and the window moves around with your cursor. This is great for seeing tiny things on a high resolution screen, but confusing when you don't want it. Command Option 8 turns it on and off, so you might have just hit the right combination...

Ipod touch 4 display gone? Help!
My iPod Touch 4th gen. fell down and hit a chair (steel). It can still play music and accesses facetime on voice commands and gets charged but its screen display is gone. It has a passcode but i still managed to try restoring it. (restoring is currently being done and along with it, its getting updated to 6.1.6 from 6.1.2) for restoring as you may know it, it requires me to put my passcode and unlock the ipod first. And i pressed the unlock button and just entered my passcode though i couldn't see anything and it got unlocked. i also tried and successfully open the inside of the ipod without damaging it and as far as i think the screen is broken. can something be done to repair it myself or should i just take it to apple for replacing it? And if i go to an apple store to replace it, how much would it cost?
Apple will not replace screens on the iPod Touch 4th gen...they replace the entire iPod for $99-199 depending on the capacity. However, since you opened the iPod, which they will know immediately, they will not help you at all. You will need to find an independent repair or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and see if they can replace the screen for you.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

I have an intel mac notebook and it works great -- except for the help viewer which has gone from very slow in responding to not responding at all. I followed all the tips for resetting the viewer (deleting help p lists, etc.) and that will fix it temporarily. But everytime I restart my computer, I have to delete those same files again to get the help viewer working. I finally went to console.log and this is the message it is displaying but I need help in translating it. Please Help! I'm an ex-windows user and this is my first mac and I'm really dependant on the mac help.

It also wouldn't hurt to try using Disk Utility to repair your startup disk (hard drive) as shown in his Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption.
You might have a little directory corruption and it's suggested in the Help Viewer Tips.

Satellite A300-202 - External display turned a strange color
Hi,
I have a Satellite A300-202 with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650, and after upgrade from vista to windows 7, my external display turned a strange color, seemed to lose the red color. Never show the white color, in which should show the white color shows the color blue.
I have uninstalled and installed again the graphic card drivers and update the new drivers but dont solved this trouble. My external monitor it's ok because I have tried with other laptop and don't have this trouble. I have also tried my laptop with other monitor and have the same trouble.
Anybody ever had this problem, someone who can help me?

Yes I have problems only with the external monitor.
I tried both. Now I have the new beta version to the windows 7 64bits, downloaded from the amd/ati site, but I have tried also with the version available in the toshiba drivers page to my A300-202, and had the same problem.

Sounds like either the Display or Graphics chip, that will not be cheap to fix. Because it is a 2006 and getting on in years, it might be best to move whatever you want to keep over to your newer iMac using Firewire Target Disk Mode and let it rest in peace.

Display view scrambles pages that display fine in browser
Help would really, really be appreciated.
I have a number of pages for a site (at
www.cognographics.com) which display perfectly in the browser.
Until recently, they also displayed perfectly in display view in
DW4. Then I replaced my PC (power surge zapped it), reinstalled
DW4, and now the same pages appear scrambled, with layers scattered
across the page, tables mixed up, etc.
Nothing changed in the code, and as I said, the pages display
fine in IE7. I know the code is not the cleanest, with some of the
styles in the CSS style sheet and others defined on the page, but
(a) the browser does not complain and (b) when I created the pages
in DW they looked fine.
I have installed DW4 on four different PCs, I've even tried
my pages in a friend's DW MX -- same result: Perfect preview in
browser, but pages are messed up in display view in DW.
I'm at my wits end -- any help would really, really be
appreciated

It's entirely possible. Dreamweaver's Design view is not
nearly so
forgiving as a browser's rendering.

Ahh right. The bad news is that DMX is just pretty awful at
rendering CSS
layouts. Unfortunately the only thing you can do about this
is to upgrade
to a more current version of DW. The Design view in DW CS4 is
perfect, for
what that's worth. This page contains all the elements that
will cause DMX
to fall down (floated containers, and absolute and relative
positioning).
Sorry about that. And since DW4 is the immediate predecessor
to DMX, it's
not going to do as well as DMX even.

So I am having issues with the advanced find feature in Outlook 2010. When I goes to search a shared calender it gives me the "Outlook cannot perform search. Cannot display view." error. It is odd because it only does it with shared calenders
and only when a calender is selected. If I search my inbox it works fine. It also works fine when I first open Outlook and perform a search without selecting any calenders. If I select on it then gives me the error. I have tried resetting the views, I ran
cleanfinders and I went through this page (http://www.msoutlook.info/question/47) and rebuilt the index/scanned the pst/etc. Nothing seems to be working. I would appreciate some help if anyone knows why this would be happening.

Gabe M.Pst file size would not cause this and Outlook 2010 can have huge pst files as long as you use the new Unicode format.
If the problem is a corrupt view, cleanviews will clear it. I'm sure there are other causes besides corrupt views, but I can't think of any at the moment.
Does it work in Safe mode? To open Outlook in Safe mode: Close Outlook then hold Ctrl as you click on the Outlook icon. You'll get a message asking if you want to start in Safe mode. Click Ok.

I tried with many different business roles but always faced the same problem.
Consequently, I had to logon using GUI, open tcode BP and assign the marketing attributes.
After that, when I try to login in web-UI, I face the same issue again.

Please check the runtime repository for the component bp_data. In the component Interface, add the window 'BP_DATA/MarketingAttributesEOVPList'. This should resolve your problem.

Did you also try to delete your enhacement and see if it works fine?
There is a button in BSP_WD_CMPWB first screen, by clicking that you can show/hide the enhancement set field. Try to see by hiding the enhancement i.e. by navigating to the standard view that the configuration of run time repository is fine.

Thanks for continuous help. I havent deleted the standard views either from enhancement OR runtime repository. I selected the view & hit the enhancement button which is available on the screen, it gave some warning & i continued.
After compliation, i saw that the std views are missing & when i tried to open the opportunity creation screen i am getting the said error.

I have successfully created a Help View (ZKEYHELP) using SE11 and activated it. Then when I try create a Search Help using SE11 again and specify the Selection Method as (ZKEYHELP) it prompts me an error when activating saying: "View ZKEYHELP is of type C and therefore not suitable as selection method".
The Delivery Class of the Help View ZKEYHELP I created is C - Customizing table, maintenance only by cust.
Is there any way to solve this problem. Thanks.

Procedure
In the initial screen of the ABAP Dictionary, select object class Search help, enter the name of the search help and choose Create.
A dialog box appears in which you must select the type of search help.
Select Elementary search help and choose .
The maintenance screen for elementary search helps appears.
Enter an explanatory text in the field Short text.
You can for example find the search help at a later time using this short text.
In the Definition tab page enter the selection method of the search help.
You can enter the name of a table or a view (database view, projection view or help view) here. If you enter a table that has a text table, the name of the text table is automatically entered in the corresponding field.
Using the input help (F4 help), select fields of the selection method as parameter in the Search help parameter area. Select the fields that should be used in the dialog box for value selection or in the hit list.
If the selection method is a table that has a text table, both the fields of the table and the fields of the text table are offered in the input help.
The data element of the parameter is automatically copied from the selection method. The data element defines the output attributes and the F1 help of the parameter in the hit list and in the dialog box for value selection.
You can assign the parameter another data element. To do so, select the Mod flag. The Data element field is now ready for input. Then select a data element with the input help (F4 help). Only data elements whose data type, length and number of decimal places is the same as those of the previous data element can be assigned.
This removes the link between the data element of the search help parameter and the data element of the selection method field having the same name. If you cancel the Mod flag, the data element of the assigned table field is used again.
Define the attributes of the search help parameters.
Select the IMP flag if it is an import parameter. Select the EXP flag if it is an export parameter.
You can define the dialog for the input help with the fields LPos, SPos and SDis. Enter the parameter position in the hit list in LPos. If you enter nothing or the value 0 here, the parameter is not displayed in the hit list.
Enter the parameter position in the dialog box for value selection in SPos. If you enter nothing or the value 0 here, the parameter is not displayed in the dialog box for value selection.
Set the SDis flag if the parameter should be a pure display field in the dialog box for value selection. The user is thus informed that the contents of the parameter restrict the value, but he cannot change this restriction. Select the dialog type of the search help.
The dialog type defines how the hit list is displayed in the input help.
Save your entries.
A dialog box appears in which you have to assign the search help a development class.

Do not forget to link the search help to a screen field. The search help attachment is not part of the search help definition; it is part of the object definition to which the search help is attached.
Result
The search help is activated. You can find information about the activation flow in the activation log, which you can display with Utilities ® Activation log. If errors occurred during activation, the activation log is automatically displayed.
Other Options
Assign a hot key: If the search help is to be accessed with a hot key, you must enter a one-place ID in the Hot key field. All the elementary search helps contained in a collective search help should have different short cuts.
Assign a search help exit: In exceptions, you might have to change the standard flow defined by the search help with a search help exit. In this case enter the name of the search help exit in the corresponding field.
Test the search help: You can test the flow of an input help defined by the elementary search help with . A dialog box appears in which you can simulate the behavior of the search help under different conditions. You can obtain information about the options provided in this window with -

Hi, I have been dragging jpeg files into i-movie all week without issue. Now all of a sudden, the selection of jpegs I'm dragging is repeating certain photos and not featuring others, making the entire sequence impossible to view.
Please help, this is urgent for a funeral tomorrow! It didnt happen with any of the other family tributes, they all worked fine.

RuthIt worked! Thank you! I finally just finished about 20 minutes ago! It took over 26 hours to complete the process you described, but I stuck with it and it worked. I am glad I didn't give up or "forget it" as some might have suggested. That would have set me back until tomorrow!
Ultimately, it turned out there were 45,910 jpgs created. No wonder it took so many hours to render/display them all. It ended up being about 10 hours before it seemed they were all rendered but the process between them displaying and being able to start really deleting them took a few hours because partly I was asleep and also partly it took forever to do anything. Any action as simple as selecting and right-clicking to Get Info, or emptying the trash, would take 20-30 minutes, a couple times longer. The clock stopped many times for 20-30 minutes at a time, a few times over 30 minutes, before catching back up. My cursor never froze which is what really kept me going, although it was a spinning beach ball for most of the time. I was never so relieved to see my regular cursor as opposed to seeing a spinning beach ball as I was early this morning after about 10 hours!
Once I was able to open a Finder window and select all 45,900 files (I had already deleted 10 in the previous couple hours during experimenting of trying to figure out what would work best), then right-click and select to move all the files to the trash, the process of moving them to the trash took 4.5 hours. Then deleting them from the trash took a couple minutes. There were 21.4 GB!!! No wonder the whole process took 26 hours!

IPad can find cellular connection settings no longer displays View Account Tab
yesterday iPad could not find cellular data connection...Settings under cellular data no longer displayed View Account tab. (Image below is from my older iPad to show what is missing on newer one with the issue.)
iPad then displayed notification that it could not connect to cellular data and said to restore iPad.
I tried to restore via cable to iTunes on home iMac. All attempts failed.
By the way I checked the AT&T Accout which is a grandfathered "unlimited" act that is current and up-to-date
Can anyone help?I would take the SIM out and then reinsert it. Next I would restore from backup. Lastly I would restore to factory new to see if it works in that condition before you add things to the iPad.
