Display WBS Element in BPS Layout - Conversion errors

Hi all,
I have problems with the conversion routine of WBS element in BPS Web Interface. The conversion routine of the infoobject (WBSEL) sometimes don't apply to the characteristic when you see the data trough BPS web Interface. Sometimes you see C990-0011-02 (with conversion) and sometimes C990001102 without conversion....
It is estrange because for the same user sometimes you see all the values with the correct format and sometimes no.
I try to delete the BPS intermediate Buffer but it doesn't works properly...
Does anyone have some idea about what could be the issue?... any idea is welcome.

if you use CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_INPUT, it will give you 601 again back to you.

I activated documents in my BPS layout and the document attribute for 0COSTCENTER. Cost Center is in the header area of the layout. I created one document, however, the document icon shows up on every cell in the layout? Can anyone tell me how fix this?

documents are assigned to a characteristic combinations; since in your case only 0COSTCENTER has the document attribute all cells in the planning layout are assigned to the same document. Thus the document icon is displayed for all cells.
You can not change this.

How to display WBS element while parking FI document from an excel??

I'm using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to park/post FI document from an excel file. Accounting Document Numbers are generated that triggered the posting. When i'm viewing the generated document in transaction FBV0/FB03 it's found that the WBS element is appearing blank when the document is parked. But it's appearing fine when the document is posted. I'm unable to find the difference.

Can you let us know how were you able to PARK documents using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST? Is there an exit provision in this BAPI? Thanks in advance.

Issue with order or sequence of wbs elements appearance in planning layout

we have an issue with order or sequence of wbs elements appearance in BPS planning layout.
In BW - 0wbs element - hierarchy order is as below

but when we check the same wbs element in BPS planning layout, it appears as below

Hi,
I came across a similar situation once. I dont remember exactly.
We have two different DataSources on wbs hierarchy. The hiearchy was loaded using the two datasources.
By mistake we were trying to use the hierarchy created by Datasource2, instead of hier created by datasource1.
Can you check that.

Error while creating WBS element.. regarding source structure

I am creating a project and then a WBS element. Its a investment project. While creating WBS element XXX, it gives me error that "WBS element XXX: SOurce assignments for source structure A1 missing in Investment Profile ZZZZZ."
What shall I check? what could be the reason?

In this IMG activity, you define the source structures used when settling and costing joint products.
A source structure contains several source assignments, each of which contains the individual cost elements or cost element intervals to be settled using the same distribution rules
Just consult with your CO Consultant...

How to Display WBS's with Zero values in a report created by CJE2

Hi All,
I have created a report using CJE1 (Report painter). When I execute the report, it only shows WBS that have values. How do I display WBS elements that do NOT have values? i.e. display items with zero values. I'm certain there is a setting either within report painter or forms...
Help appreciated.

Menu>Formatting>Report Layout and then tab Rows. Check if setting under 'Treatment of zero rows' helps.

Reverse Signs in BPS Layouts

Dear all,
I'm looking for a way to reverse the signs in BPS Layout.
Storage in Cube:
Costs +
Revenues -
Display and input in BPS-Layout
Costs -
Revenues +
That is it should work somehow like the sign reversal in queries.
I checked the standard function Automatic Sign Assigment

but this seems to be diffent.
Any ideas?

Hi Gregor,
you want to have a 'static' sign reversal (all values multiplied by -1); this does not exist as a planning layout feature. In BPS sign reversal was designed to display both costs and revenue with +.
Also in BW queries there exists a 'static' sign reversal as a property of a structure element and in addition one can use master data attrbute lookups (replacement path variables) and formulas to get a master data value specific sign.
In BPS one can use a planning function to revert the sign before data input and after data input. Depending on the UI you can also use VBA makros to do the sign reversal (Excel-Inplace). In a WebIntefaces you can implement your own exit class; there you can control the data. Maybe the latter solution is not self-explaining.

Creating SC with WBS element ( assignment no ) getting the error that "The account assignment objects are defined for different business areas"

Hi Hareesha,
As Sreedhar has rightly said the issue is definitely with the correctness of the data.
Check the assignment of WBS to the proper business area which you are using to create the shopping cart.Check your org. structure and attributes and their assignments once again.
Neverthless some OSS notes for your reference if in case you can not able to make P.Os or the SC's / P.Os are not getting transfered to back end R/3.

Even after validating the data if the problem still persists please explain it clearly with the errors for further help.

Settlement of Project through WBS Element

Hi
I tried to execute the transaction code CJ8G for settlement of WBS Element i got the following error
You cannot use this transaction type to post to this asset
Message no. AA834
Diagnosis
The transaction type entered belongs to transaction type group 15. According to the specifications for this transaction type group, posting with transactions types belonging to this group are only allowed in specific asset classes (for example, asset classes for assets under construction).
The asset to which you are posting belongs to class 440000 (chart of depreciation LILK). You cannot post to this class using the transaction type you have entered.
Procedure
Check the asset number entered. You may want to allow posting with this transaction type group for the asset class of the asset.
Please advise the solution for the aforesaid error

In order to settle project to Asset you have to ensure that you have an asset class which has a tick for investment measure. once you create an asset class which manages investment measure , you should be able to that particular asset class. you can then further settle asset from this asset class to any other asset class.

Can't change an asset that originated from a WBS element that is now closed

When we try to transfer or make a change to an asset that originated from a closed WBS element we receive the following error message.
System status CLSD is active (WBS CP-00000999-009-009)

When we remove the wbs element number under the "Account assignment for investment" heading, then we are able to perform the asset transferwithout reopening the wbs. We were wanting to use that field so that our auditors could see the wbs from which the asset was created. If we do not use that field, how can we trace an asset back to the originating wbs?

Invalid wbs element

HI all,
When I'm doing settlement for a project. It is giving error " WBS element - IND01, Invalid WBS element",
I'm getting this error for only 2 wbs elements out of 5 of the project.
Could any one help me what might be the problem??

if so you need to check the program/ validation that is causing the error

If you want to display WBS element as CWD-34-AS-01 as CWD34AS01. You have to use
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '-' IN V_WBS WITH ' '.

Object class in WBS element screen

Hi All,
We are facing the issue of object class as required, when a WBS element is created for a project. In SAP 3.1, the object class is not a required field, but in ECC 6.0 system this field is showing up as required and we cannot proceed further until we enter some vaule in this field.
Does someone know why this field is coming as required in CJ01 transaction, when creating a WBS element? The layout in OPSA transaction says its a input only field and not required.

am trying to test in development but i am getting object class once measures are released.
