Display WBS user defined fields

Hi Experts,
I want to add one more user defined field in WBS detail screen. Previously my WBS detail screen has 3 user fields displayed already.
So I choose "Ufield 4 WBS element" (PRPS-USR03) in OPUK and set it as Input.
And then I set the name for "Ufield 4 WBS element" in OPS1.
But when I display WBS master data in CJ02, I still cant see "Ufield 4 WBS element", but the other 3 user fields can be displayed just fine.
Any solution? Probably I miss some customizing?

Hi,
I agree with Harsh. You might have maintained either "a non influential field selection" or "there is an influence by another capable field which is restricting the 4th field".
You not only need to maitain the field as "Blanket input (without influences)" but also do the same under all influences you have.

User defined field values doesnot show up in summary tab

Hi,
I have created my own stylesheet to display some of my user defined field values (associated with organization address book entry type) in the summary tab of the addressbook entry. But Groupwise 8.0 client FAILS to display any of the user defined field values in the summary tab FOR ONLY ORGANIZATION ADDRESSBOOK ENTRY types. NOTE: These organization addressbook entries are created using the C++ Groupwise object API. But the Advanced tab of these organization addressbook entry shows those user defined fields with values in it.
Also Groupwise 8.0 Client is able to display the user defined field values in the summary tab for the PERSON ADDRESSBOOK ENTRY types, that are created using the Groupwise Object API. Also when I create a Organization addressbook entry using the Groupwise Client (NEW ORGANIZATION) and fill in the user defined field values using the Advanced tab or that addressbook entry, the summary tab displays those user defined field values.
So there could be some problem in setting the user defined field value for the Organization address book entry using the Object API or it could be Groupwise 8.0 Client issue in displaying the user defined field values ONLY FOR ORGANIZATION ADDRESS BOOK ENTRY, WHICH ARE CREATED USING THE OBJECT API. I also tried to see the underlying XML data in the summary tab and that XML data is missing the USERDEFINEDFIELDS and CATEGORIES tag for the organization address book entry.
I would like to know, if there is any need for special handling only for Organization addressbook entry in Groupwise 8.0 API. Any thoughts or help is really appreciated.

Does anyone have an idea?? Think I have the same issue. Except, when I log in the client (ver. 802) then all the info is displayed. But when the user logs in on the same client and the same pc, he sees the xml info except the office address.

User defined fields in Goods Issue and Goods Reciept

I would like to know how to add user defined fields in the Goods Reciept and Goods Issue matrix. These two are not displayed under user defined fields management.

From within the SAP Business One user interface under Tools > Customization Tools > User-Defined Fields - Management, you need to add to the Marketing Documents > Tile and/or Rows, etc.

User-defined fields for WBS

Hi,
Std SAP provides the following user-defined fields for WBS.
4 numeric fields
4 general fields
2 date fields
2 check boxes
We would like to use as many as 20 numeric user-defined fields for wbs.
Is there a way to do this?

hi,
It is not possible with user defined fields. You can achieve this using SPRO menu path Project System ->Structures->Work Breakdown Structure->Enhancement for Project Definition WBS lements -> Create customer specific fields in WBS.
You have to use enhancement CNEX0007 to create the required fields.
You will, ofcourse, need the help of an ABAPer to do this.

Display of document line items with user defined fields

Hi all,
I have created two user defined fields in CI_COBL structure and they are available on OBC4 screen. I maintained optinal for entry in the screen layout. I posted one document with user defined fields and saved.
Now the document is updated in BSEG table. I then display the document, and it display the doucment
But when i double click on the one of the line items system gives an error that there is some problem in customising and entries missing in Table COBM.
I checked OXK3 and see that in field information for user fields, it says entries maintained in table COBM.
But still i couldnt display my line items in detail.
Any solutions

Yes your are looking at the correct sap note.
Things look pretty straight forward in the notes documentation.
1)Extend the VBKRED structure with the fields you want.
2)Populate thse values in the user exit in program DBKMVF02 in FORM routine USER_EXIT_FUELLEN_XVBKRED.
For extending a standard structure you need to create a zstructuree in se11 first and then append it to the standard structure.
In your case you need to extend VBKRED_EX1 structure rather than VBKRED.

Confirmation of User defined fields on CO11N

Dear All,
Can anybody tell me how to confirm user defined field during operation confirmation of an order. I have created a user field key and assigned in the operation detail screen in routing. Is it required to include a freely defined screen for CO11N in customizing or any other setting is there.

you have to create a customer defined screen and attach as in the link. Add the Freely definable detail screen in OPK0. Confirm the user defined fields.

User Defined Fields, Is Dropdown Selection possible?

Dear Experts,
In User Defined Field -1 can we define our own values, so that for this field we can make drop down selection, instead of manual entry.
Facility seems to be available, as it shows balloon there. But no values of cource.
Is it possible?

Hi,
Go to operation view in the SFO. Select the operation, then follow menu path Operation - Operation details (key board shortcut - F7). Now you will find some tabs, the tab user field is somewhere near the end so you would need to proceed to the right.
Once you're in that tab, select the field you defined & hit enter. The fields will be displayed.
Also the user-ext PPCO0006 is used to default values to order header fields, i am not sure how this can be used to add tabs in order header.

Like when we create any user defined field in under User form those fields display on create user form but when we create any user defined field in resource object from those are not displayed in form.

is it possible to link a searchhelp to user defined fields in a shoppincart ?
I have already defined 2 fields in ZINCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF which I can see and edit when I create a shoppincart, but for 1 field I would like to add a searchhelp which connects to the backend for retrieval of possible values. is this possible ?

User-Defined Fields Window

Hi All,
I have one issue with the User-Defined Fields window of the ACTIVITY form.
I had added some user defined fields (UDF) to the Activities so that the User-Defined Fields are displaying in a separate window just near to the Activity window with Type (-651). All the UDFs are bound to the table, "OCLG".
I want to initialize the values in the User defined fields controls with a text when the form is loading.
I had tried to do this using
oForm.Datasources.DBDatasources.Item("OCLG").SetValue("U_CUST",0,"MyValue");When I executed this statement, i am getting HResult error.
Then I tried this by using UserDataSources.
The same error repeats.
But the code with .Specific.String = NewVal is working fine.
Can you please explain the scenarios that we are able to do it using .Specifc.String. Is this a true method for doing this?
if not
please tell me How can we do this using Datasources (DBDatasources/ UserDataSources),?

Anoop,
when you have created UDF in master item data, the textbox you can see on left side of form (separate form) is bounded already to this field. You cannot rebound it (its system form).
When you want to change the value, you must use specific.string or specific.value for that textbox (as you wrote), but the calcualted value will be stored into master table (change of udf will set formmode to update mode). If you dont need to update formmode, set the formmode by code to normal mode.

Populate User Defined Fields

Hello everyone, I have an add on that puts a button on the invoice that when clicked, brings up a screen to fill in some information and submits the information. The add-on then takes some of that info and populates UDFs on the invoice and submits the invoice. 1. My first question is, do I have to have the UDF's visible in order to populate them? I found that I received an error when I tried to set their value when they were not visible, but wasn't sure if there was a way around that. 2. I am finding that it is difficult to track which UDF form links to the invoice form. Is there a way to tie back the UDF form (-133) to the invoice (133)? It is not FormTypeCount, because that goes solely by the order in which the screens were displayed... Please let me know. My true goal here is for someone to be able to have multiple invoices up with multiple versions of my add on and when they submit, they all submit the right thing.

Hi, today I've also looked for a solution to be sure that the UDF-Form (in my case for sales quotation) is always open.
Now I do it with activating View User Defined Fields:
SboUI.Menus.Item("6913").Activate()
when the Form is opened.
Catching Item-Event et_FORM_LOAD seems to be too early for that.
Now I'm catching the Menu-Event ('after') for Sales Quotation:

And preventing the UDF-Form to be closed

Requirement related to User Defined Fields

I have a requirement wherein I want 5 UDF (User Defined Fields) to be displayed in Create User Form. However, In the View User Profile, I want to have a total of
10 UDF to be displayed (5 more UDF in addition to UDF's used in Create User Form). The value of these 5 new UDF will come from some other resource ( a
webservice will return the value of these new 5 UDF) and in the Update User Form, I want to have only 5 UDF to be displayed (same 5 UDF's that are used in
Create User Form).
So, need your inputs on whether this can be achieved through OOTB OIM Configuration or it will require Customization (OIM Api's or jsp customization)?

You want to say you have total 10UDFs; 5 you will show on the create user page while on user profile page you want to show all 10UDFs.
Is it right???
Then you have to go for jsp customization.
But you can do one thing by ootb; show all the 10UDFs on the create user make 5 editable in which you want to give any value and make rest 5 as read only.
You have two options choose what suit best to you.

In your eventhandler, you can use this:
Set oSboForm = Sbo_application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(-pval.FormType, pval.FormTypeCount)
form and udf-form are linked through a minus sign.
I do not know of a nice way to check if they are anebled. What I'm currently doing is running the above line of code contained in an error handler. The error handler does a sendkeys of control shift u (which enables the udf-form) and displays a message. Problem is after control shift u, screen is not yet updated so your code cannot continue immediatelly. Development knows of this problem, but I never received a promise when this will be fixed.
