Display webpage in an email

my work is looking to try an email campaign to advertise
their service. what is the usual way of doing this? i was thinking
a web page inserted in an email so you open the email and see the
webpage as an advert. how would i go about inserting the live web
page into the email so it appears?

Content Coding Error in Firefox/Internet Explorer cannot display webpage

I can log into Beehive without any issues. I used to be able to go to Workspaces > All My Workspaces and see all the workspaces I had access to. From this list, I could get to any of these workspaces. Now when I go to the same navigation, I get in 'Content Coding Error' in Firefox 9 and 'Internet Explorer cannot display webpage' in Internet Explorer 7.
If I find an email that invited me to a specific workspace, I can access that workspace only. I cannot find a way to access all workspaces I have access to within Beehive.
Please let me know what other information I need to provide for assistance.

https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/index.html is a public page with no obvious protection so anyone should be able to see it without any difficulty. If this is the page causing the issue then it suggests a local browser issue.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change display name of workflow email address in sharepoint 2010.
In my environment, if I assign a task to a user, the email is as below:
The “test” is the site name, the [email protected] is the “From” user.
Do you want to change the “From” field in the workflow?
If so, you can have a look at the "Send email extended" custom SPD workflow activity (http://www.codeplex.com/SPDActivities
) which allow you to specify the sender.

Setting Display Name for sent emails

Hi All,
I want to set a display name for sent emails. For example: when I send emails using [email protected] and after receivign this amil in my inbox it says from [email protected] Is there any way that I can show display name for this like Kartik <[email protected]>.
is there any API by which I can set this display name? Or this has to be done on mail server?

it asks for a attribute messageFrom and passes it to SMTPTransport. I have tried setting different values for messageFrom like
messageFrom=Test Email
messageFrom="Test Email"
but it didn't work for me. it expects a domain name there (even if its dummy) like
messageFrom=[email protected]
Can you tell me at which place InternetAddress is been called by SMTPTransport so that I can write my own impl for it.

When at the "results" page of a search, clicking on "blue" link does not display webpage. Copying "green" urldoes.

When at the "results" page of a search, clicking on "blue" link does not display webpage although url is shown in address bar. Copying "green" url, shown at bottom of a result, into address bar and hitting "enter" goes to the address and displays the page. Have tried different selections at tools/options with no change. Is there some other setting that needs to be changed?

I get "IE Cannot display webpage" trying to sign into my bank with IE8 and 9

On my 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate, 2 year old PC, 3 days ago, I started getting a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message using IE 8. I have cleared all the history and reset several times. I have reset all the network. I have restarted
IE and the PC. I upgraded to IE 9 but the problem is the same. From this PC i can connect with FireFox. I can connect from my Vista Pro PC running IE 9 and from another Win 7 Ultimate, X64, PC with IE 8.
The process is to open WWW.BECU.org and provide the user id and password. When I login, IE takes longer than usual to confirm thru
https://becu.org.../login.aspx and fails with the ...cannot display webpage.  After I clear and reset, the logon will take me to a page because the cookie is gone so I have to answer a security
quistion. When I respond the question I get the same ... cannot display the webpage message. If I run diagnostics no problems are found.
With IE 8 I ran bothe 64 bit and 32 bit versions with the same results.  I spent almost an hour with the bank (BECU) teck person and concluded that I have to use FireFox.

Again the general troubleshooting strategy is to compare the settings on the two machines
Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab. You should be using the 'default' Medium setting. Click the 'Sites' button ... you should allow cookies on the becu sites.
after checking the above settings, try opening the site in InPrivate Mode (tools>InPrivate browsing). If that works then one of your IE Addons is probably the cause (the google toolbar's Form Filler feature or another form filler Addon.)
IE has built in autocomplete for filling forms on web pages but usually banks don't allow autocomplete on login forms... Do you have to type in your credentials each time, on both machines or is your Account details already filled in when you access their
login page..... re-enter your correct details if they are already populated when you access the login page.
If that does not work then the only difference appears to be the missing MS12-006 update... You view your Windows Update history from Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features>Installed Updates. If you have'nt installed the update it should be still
listed in the Windows Update dialog (perhaps unless you use that machine to access your company's VPN, or the machine in question has at one stage been connected to a company network)
Thats about it... I cannot think of any other reasons....
You may consider abandoning using that machine for your Bank account access and secure the machine that does work by ensuring that only you have access to the machine and it is using the Ethernet connection (not wireless). Use separate windows user accounts
for yourself and your wife/partner. I keep my passwords in a small book that is locked away in a drawer and I change them every so often. Don't share access with your kids.... they are probably more computer savey than you. (sorry... its sad but you never
know).

Let us suppose you are replying to an email from the boss who, copying 50 Polish, Indian, Arab and Thai coworkers on their personal emails-- and with whom you have never previously communicated--has asked you to share with the group your latest drafts for the upcoming weekend top secret strategy session and now you want to attach something other than a photo, such as a slide presentation in ersatz PowerPoint, a draft marketing plan in fake word and the budget in pseudo excel? You are fly fishing in the pesos without access to a computer, only your trusty IPad which fortunately has the drafts you need and a wireless connection. Because this new initiative must fly under the company radar screen due to its sensitivity, you cannot use the corporate VPN and the attach docs are too chunky to be in anything but a series of three emails as you have no compression software.
What is most efficient way to execute? If it's to drive the two hours in the storm back to Santa Fe and use the local Kinko's, I am disappointed.

Who'sWho Off Phone number is been displayed instead of Offi email ID

Hi Experts,
Few users of our portal are facing the below issue in standard Who'sWho application.
Users search for their name and the application displays it.
But there is some data inconsistency as the Official Phone number is been displayed instead of Official email ID.
At the back end the data is maintained properly.
When the official phone number is not maintained at R/3 the application displays the email id correct.
But once the official phone number is update the system picks the phone number as email id.
Why does it happen only with selected users ?
how can i solve this ?

I found out that there is no RFC which is called instead there is standard infoset query which is fired.
The name of the query is "/SAPQUERY/HR_ESS"
how shall I debug this query please help as I have not worked on it before.
The problem is not seen in quality portal.
Is it possible to create a request for the standard query and send it.

HT1923 i cannot redeem itunes card will not display webpage

I cannot redeem Itunes gift card. Says Internet Explorer cannot display webpage. Currently using Windows Vista Home Premium and have never had this problem before now. Tried to repair Itunes from Download Itunes button and will not install Itunes either. I get an Interrupted notice.

Could be a counter feit card, but most likely you are reading/entering it wrong. Anyhow, the iTS can sort it out, though you may have to scan in the back of the card and send it in:

The authentication works well; however, Sharepoint shows the users’ email everywhere including at the top right suite-bar. I rather to see users’ display name instead of email. Is there any way to have SharePoint shows user’s display name instead of email
address when the primary SAML claim is email address?

Passing a list of URLs from Applescript to Display Webpages in Tabs Action

Hi All,
I have an Applescript to generate a bunch of URLs and I would like to pass them to the Display Webpages in Tabs action. The script is generating the URLs correctly but I can't seem to get them into the action successfully. Does anybody know how to get output from the script passed to subsequent Automator actions?

Try using the "get content from textedit" action. More specifically, use your Applescript to dump the urls into a textedit doc and then use the "get contents..." action to feed the "get specified urls" action.

Mac Browsers not displaying webpages

I am using an iMac running OS X 10.8.5, 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 with 16GB DDR3 Memory.
A few days ago, Safari stopped loading most webpages, showing just a white page. Some webpages will load and work normally, but most do not load at all. Reloading the page doesn’t work.
Other Macs running on my network are unaffected and load webpages normally.
I tried adding DNS servers and also tried disabling Prefetch but the problem persists. I also cleaned out the cache etc with no benefit.
All browsers are affected. Firefox and Chrome can load a google search but dont load any webpages other than this.
Firfox can load a google search but when I select a webpage to go to it gives an error: “The connection was reset while the page was loading”
Chrome gives an error message stating: “no data received”… Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
The problem occurred shortly after an adobe update. I uninstalled v13 of Adobe Flash and reinstalled v 12 but this didn’t help.
Anyone have suggestions?

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "Model Identifier." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Links to a webpage in an email

Previously, when I clicked on a webpage link contained in an email, my screen would be switched to my browser (I'm using Firefox) to the new tab that would be connected to that link. Somehow my configuration changed such that my screen does not change to my browser. The link is connected to in my browser in a new tab but the mail message is still displayed on my screen. How do I / where do I configure my system so that I switch from the mail client to my browser and to the new tab where the "linked" webpage is displayed?

Some webmail programs can automatically detect and convert URLs to links, but often they do not. Most editors include a link button on the bar with the other formatting buttons; it often looks like a couple of links of chain.
As an example, this thread has a screen shot showing how the button works in Yahoo mail (as of last October, but probably despite frequent overhauls, Yahoo still has this button): [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/938665 ALL email hyperlinks in yahoo mail do nothing, but they ALL work fine in any other browser?]

Outlook 2013 with SSRS charts in MHTML displays wrong image in email

I've posted this question already to the SQL Server group and the SQL Team confirms this is potentially an issue with Outlook 2013 and image cache changes between 2010 and 2013. In short, when changing between emails that display charts from SSRS distributed via MHTML, Outlook 2013 will display the wrong graph from its image cache. This issue does NOT happen when opening the email in a browser by using the "View in Browser"
option from the Information ribbon in the email.
The issue began after upgrading from Outlook 2010 to 2013 so it would appear that the image cache algorithm has changed. We need a resolution to stop this from happening that does not include turning off cached exchange mode. I've tried changes
in the Trust center by turning off the viewers but that doesn't fix anything.
We are using Office 365 and Outlook 2013 x64 SP1.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround for the issue? This is what it looks like when clicking between emails and then opening in the browser.
