Display Work Schedule in ESS

Hello,
I am trying to provide the same functionality that PZ17 transaction (Display Work Schedule) provides in the backend, to the portal. The transaction PZ17 does what I want essentially. Now the problem I have is how do I make it come up in the portal as a service within Portal -> ESS, like leave request. I did not see any configuration in the IMG that would enable this service.
I am new to this, so am not aware if SAP provides this functionality in ESS or not. Any help will be appreciated.

Please note some of the services based on ITS which are using cannot be lauched using Webdypro, So you need to make a new service as described using SICF, ALso read the note 870126.
SO you need to create it ie
This is an SICF service which invokes
transaction (which you are using )using the SICF parameter of ~transaction. try creating it
Or note for displaying Work schedule use pt63, you can add this transaction code as well.

Hi All,
Is there any way to display the "Display Work Schedule " in Portal.
We are trying use the Generic iViews to display the reports in Portal and we created a SAP Query with the IT 7 ( Planned working time ) .
Here we would like to see the view thats similar to the view we see when we go display of IT 7 and then click on "Display Work Schedule "
Can some one tell me how we can acheive this " Display Work Schedule" thru generic iview in Portal.

Variant not seen in display work schedule

Dear All,
I have created a variant schedule for friday being half a day, however, i am not able to see that in the display work schedule mode. can Any body give input as to where we can check whether the variant schedule is active.

ESS Team Calendar Displaying Work Schedule

Hi,
Does anyone know of any BADI's etc that will allow me to display a persons workschedule on the team calendar? E.g. If I only work a Monday, Wednesday & Friday I want the calendar to grey out Tuesday and Thursday.

Anyone able to change the color successfully?
I have tried
"Adjust Colors of Calendar and Team Calendar"
and using CH_LEGENDID = 'GROUP_LEVEL2' and so on, but the team calendar just showed me a small box rather than a different color.
'GROUP_LEVEL1' however would show you the standard blue color.
Any help is appreciated.

How to attached Work Schedule by Interface

we are using 11.5.10 hrms module,we want to use work schedule for employee roster,but now how cant it possible to attached bulk employee data with the schedule,is there any api or sth else,
please advice,how can it possible,

- PT03 - Display Work Schedule
- PT63 - Personal Work Schedule (even PT61 also helpful as biswajit said)
- PT_DSH20 - Daily Work Schedule
Otherwise you have Time Managers Workplace/ Ad Hoc Query reports to view detail reports, which are user friendly for maintain time data.
TC for Time managers workplace is PTMW
TC for Ad-hoc query is S_PH0_48000513
I suggest you to go with Ad-hoc and select all fields that what ever output you want and view the results (even you can upload also)

Substitutions display in Personal work schedule

Hi,
I have a client that captures several substitutions for an employee for a specific day or period. Of the four substitution types, 3 substitutions are marked with the reduced working hours flag. This in turn, allows the client to capture several substitutions and to run the personal work schedule report successfully.
They now want to run the report displaying all substitutions, which would require de-activating the RWH flag. If this is done, then the personal work schedule report displays an error message for the days that more than one substitution has been captured.
My question is, how can I display more than one shift substitution on one specific day within the personal work schedule without doing development.

1. Check for the following customisation:
       Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
       Group Personnel Subareas for the Daily Work Schedule
       Define Employee Subgroup Groupings
       Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
       Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
       Define Counting Classes for the Period Work Schedule
       Set Personnel Subarea Groupings for Time Recording
2. In case if the error is coming for one employee just check the latest IT 0000 record and see if the WSR assigned is valid for the respective PSA and ESG's else neglect this point.

Work schedule display in capacity leveling cm25

Hello,
In our company we have created a work schedule (tcode OP4A) and have associated to a work center (tcode IR02).
However, capacity leveling (tcode CM25) doesn't display the work schedule associated to our workers in the graphical planning table.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?

It could be issue with your over all profile..
Use - Over all profile SAPPM_G001

Holidays to be displayed in Employees Work schedule

Hello Experts,
While Generating daily Work Schedule Manually,in the selection screen system asks for ESG grp,PSA Grpng,Holiday Calander ID & year for which work schedule rule has to be generated.
but when we create it or execute it,it only shows DWS on working days & OFF on Sundays.Why Public Holidays are not displayed on this?
also in 0007,when i check work schedule tab,same thing happens.where can i see holidays in work schedule?
Plz suggets some inputs.

NB,
After generation of work schedule you will get one screen in that screen for each and every day indicates with Five (5) fields out six fields four( 4) fields will be display all the dates
The 5th field will be displayed only for the particular day which you create as an holiday in that field it will displays the Holiday class which you define while creating the holidays
ex - 1 - for Public holidays
Five fields will be as follows
1 - Date of the particular day
2- Day type of the particular day (0,1,..)
3- Daily work schedule rule for the particular day
4 - If any variant is created for the particular day
5 - Holiday class of the particular field ( it will displays only for the day which Holiday is defined) other wise it will be in disable
If you want to check you can on specific date you defined the holiday

Time Management - Work Schedule /Absence Quota / Part-time quota generation

Hi Experts,
Need your help!
We have a requirement where we need to create distinct work schedules for each irregular / part-time work pattern and the number of work patterns we have identified is more than 1000. We are using report RPTQTA00 to generate quota. We have used work contract, employee sub-group & employee payscale group in the QUOMO feature to get the base entitlement picked up. We have defined base entitlement for the full time workschedules with 37.0 / 38.5 hours and there is a reduction rule which reduce the absence entitlement for part time employees as per the employement percentage in IT0007. Now we have a scenario where we have created a work schedule with different no of hours for each day of week (M-4, T-6, W-4, TH-6, F-4, S-OFF, SU - OFF); this work schedule is treated as full time work pattern by the system and quota is generated as full time work schedule refering to the QUOMO settings, but as per my client employees with this work schedule have reduced hours of working hours (24 hours, not 37.0 or 38.5 hours)and hence it should be treated as part-time employees, and the quota generated should be proportionately reduced. I have very limited scope to create any ESG or PSG as we do not have any distinct emplyee sub-groups maintained for full-time and part-time employees and the project has already gone-live with payroll/time. It is worth mentioning over here that we are recording absence through ESS and it takes into account the daily planned working time maintained in IT0007, so we are very particular to keep it as accurate as possible.
I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest any possible solution for the above issue, or guide me on what would be the best way to tackle it. I can give more details in case anybody need to have a better understanding of the issue to suggest a solution.

Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)

Function module to get holiday class from work schedule for current day

I need to determine what the public holiday class value is for the current day in a user exit. Is there an SAP function module that can return me this data? This would be the information that is displayed when pressing the work schedule button from infotype 0007

Function module HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO is closer to what I need. This function module returns an X if the day is a holiday. I will create a Z program and instead of returning an X for a holiday I will return the THOL-KLASS (holiday class) value.

Mimic SAP Tcode PT03 output screen for work schedule

I have a requirement to create a web dynpro java application which can mimic standard SAP transaction "PT03" output screen.
i.e. View employee work Schedules..
Now I do not have any Calender UI element which I can use.
What could be best approach going forward.
Please note that creating an IAC iview or SAP Transaction Iview is already out of scope for us because of client constraints...
Please manage some time to look into this HCM transaction PT03 and advice me how can I mimic this in web dynpro.
I am concerned about the "View Work Schedule" screen which has a calender type display where information about employee is getting displayed in individual cell of calender.

Well the whole scenario has to work as below...
1. User will fill in some input form from portal (Web Dynpro java view)
2. Clicks on submit button...
3. Webdynpro java application calls an RFC....
4. Output is rendered in calender format .....or any other format......which is informative enough to user.

Work schedule shows a holiday but it is not defined

Hi All,
I have run PT03 to check on my work schedule and it shows a date that is a holiday. I have checked the public holiday calendar and no holiday defined on that day. Checking again on the generated work schedule and clicking on the date where it says as holiday (though not defined in holiday calendar) it pops a message "Calendar not loaded on 21.05.2010". Normally when you double clicked on the date when there is holiday it is displayed beside holiday class field the description of the holiday but this one it does not show any description beside that field.
Hope you can help me on this.

One more thing, if you have removed a holiday from the holiday calendar after generation of work schedules, you need to generate the calendar again after removing that holiday, and also generate the work schedule using that calender and save the work schedule, then only you will see the removed holiday effect in the work schedule.

You need to create one active implementation of one Badi yes. They recommend to re-use the sample coding.
You need to do this:
Prerequisites
●      A technical prerequisite of this application is SAP ECC 5.00 Financials Extension.
●      In the Customizing of Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP) under Specify RFC Connection to the HCM System you have defined the RFC destination for the selection of the personnel data.
●      You have created and activated an implementation of BAdI FCOM_EQM_EQUI_USER for finding equipment for users and users for equipment. You are recommended to adopt the sample coding.
●      Users have the authorization to display the objects (asset, equipment and object on loan).

How to check the generated work schedules

Hi Friends,
We have more than 30 Work schedule rules, in which some of them have been generated some of not. So now I want to check which work schedules have not been generated. Kindly advice the how can I check the non generated Work schedules or generated work schedule.

We use the following tcodes
PT01 to generate
PT02 to change the DWSR
PT03 to display the DWSR
more over if u have not generated the Daily work schdule you will get an Error while save DWSR in IT0007 so please check the above tcodes
