Displaying blocked alv format

Hi All,
Currently am displaying blocked alv  one-by-one vertically ,,,but is there any possibility to display the blocks side-by-side horizontally instead vertically?? any wayout for it?

  • BLOCK LIST DISPLAY IN ALV

    Moderator message: Please do not use ALL CAPITALS in your message subjects
    I am facing a peculiar situation with respect to a report with 2 block lists.
    STEP 1:
    I first use REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT with EXPORTING parameter as
    i_callback_program = SY-REPID.
    This works fine with return code of sy-subrc = 0.
    STEP 2:
    I build the field catalog and internal table - in debug I also check the sequence of fields of both the internal tables and field calatogs - perfect - no issues.
    Then I call REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND with exporting parameters as layout, field catalog, table name & event and tables parameter as internal table and exception handling, I repeat this call for the two internal tables.
    This works fine with return code of sy-subrc = 0
    STEP 3:
    I use REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY to display the two lists one after the other, and I have coded for error message if sy-subrc is non zero.
    This works fine with return code of sy-subrc = 0
    ISSUE :
    Internal table 1 and internal table 2 both have say 4 records, then I see the two lists with heading(s) perfec and col width also optimized and zebra (alternate steipes also in place), and 4 rows for each internal table on output, however the rows are BLANK - NO DATA, whereas I have checked both internal tables before the call and they seem to have the data perfectly and in the same sequence as the field catalog - however the rows are BLANK.
    I checked in debugging but was just not able to find out why if the internal tables and field catalog is perfect, no data is passed to output.
    Please help !!

    1. Once the cell number/service on the 3GS is transfered to the 5, the 3S will become basically an iPod touch until a new sim is in place, correct? We can still use wi-fi and the apps on the phone, and still be able to sync to iTunes, correct? iOS has been upgraded to 6.
    1a. With a new Sim, any issue with losing any data/apps on the phone? I dont' think so.

There are photos on the 3S that we will need on the 5.
    2. As long as both Phones use the same Apple ID, the applications can be synced to each through iTunes. Also any downloads on one phone should appear in the other. Again as long as both phones are using the same Apple ID.
    3. Reverse order for new apps purchased (understand that not all the iphone 5 apps will work on the 3GS)?
    3. If they can be run on the iPhone3GS they should be synced automatically.
    4. My husband also has a new iPad, any complications there with three devices? To date, he has not "shared" apps between his 3S and the iPad. He does not have iCloud set up, but plugs into his computer to backup and transfer photos. 
    4. If all 3 Devices share the same Apple ID all should be synced. 
    As a word of warning, if all 3 devices use the same Apple ID, messages recieved using iMessage will appear on all 3 devices.
    And Conctacts may get overwritten if synced to iCloud (thogh you say he doesn't have one), or merged together.

  • Need a POP-UP which can display internal table data in ALV format

    HI All,
    I need to display INTERNAL TABLE values through a POP-UP. Only condition is that the window with the internal table data should be in ALV format and not in TEXT only format.
    To clarify, I used FM 'POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY_OK'   and  'POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY', but both display the data in TEXT format and there is no provision to put the FIELD names there. Everthing needs to be put into internal table and it displays it in text format.
    So I want a FM where I can display internal tabel data in ALV format( same format that would appear if you creata search help for a filed and output window would have all the ALV features like SORT buttons etc.
    Hope there is some FM to achieve this ALV format data thing.

  • Display Nested table data in an ALV format

    Is there any way to display nested table data in an ALV format. This table has 20-30 structures in it and there is no way to create a common structure using all the fields. Kindly let me know what is the best way to display the nested structure data.

    The common features of report are column alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
    This helps us to implement all the features mentioned very effectively.
    Using ALV, We can have three types of reports:
    1. Simple Report
    2. Block Report
    3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
    There are some function modules which will enable to produce the above reports without much effort.
    All the definitions of internal tables, structures and constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
    1. SIMPLE REPORT.
    The important function modules are
    a. Reuse_alv_list_display
    b. Reuse_alv_fieldcatalog_merge
    c. Reuse_alv_events_get
    d. Reuse_alv_commentary_write
    e. Reuse_alv_grid_display
    A. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY : This is the function module which prints the data.
    The important parameters are :
    I. Export :
    i. I_callback_program : report id
    ii. I_callback_pf_status_set : routine where a user can set his own pf status or change the functionality of the existing pf status
    iii. I_callback_user_command : routine where the function codes are handled
    iv. I_structure name : name of the dictionary table
    v. Is_layout : structure to set the layout of the report
    vi. It_fieldcat : internal table with the list of all fields and their attributes which are to be printed (this table can be populated automatically by the function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
    vii. It_events : internal table with a list of all possible events of ALV and their corresponding form names.
    II. Tables :
    i. t_outtab : internal table with the data to be output
    B. REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE : This function module is used to populate a fieldcatalog which is essential to display the data in ALV. If the output data is from a single dictionary table and all the columns are selected, then we need not exclusively create the field catalog. Its enough to mention the table name as a parameter(I_structure name) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. But in other cases we need to create it.
    The Important Parameters are :
    I. Export :
    i. I_program_name : report id
    ii. I_internal_tabname : the internal output table
    iii. I_inclname : include or the report name where all the dynamic forms are handled.
    II Changing
    ct_fieldcat : an internal table with the type SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV which is
    declared in the type pool SLIS.
    C. REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET : Returns table of possible events for a list type
    Parameters :
    I. Import :
    Et_Events : The event table is returned with all possible CALLBACK events
    for the specified list type (column 'NAME'). For events to be processed by Callback, their 'FORM' field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field 'FORM' filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SALV.
    II. Export :
    I_List_type :
    0 = simple list REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
    1 = hierarchcal-sequential list REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    2 = simple block list REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    3 = hierarchical-sequential block list
    REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE : This is used in the Top-of-page event to print the headings and other comments for the list.
    Parameters :
    I. it_list_commentary : internal table with the headings of the type slis_t_listheader.
    This internal table has three fields :
    Typ : ‘H’ – header, ‘S’ – selection , ‘A’ - action
    Key : only when typ is ‘S’.
    Info : the text to be printed
    E. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY : A new function in 4.6 version, to display the results in grid rather than as a preview.
    Parameters : same as reuse_alv_list_display
    This is an example for simple list.
    2. BLOCK REPORT
    This is used to have multiple lists continuously.
    The important functions used in this report are:
    A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
    B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY

    This function module is used for hierarchical sequential blocks.
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
    Parameters : All the parameters are optional.
    This function module display the list with data appended by the above function.
    Here the functions REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE, REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET, REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE can be used.
    3. Hierarchical reports :
    Hierarchical sequential list output.
    The function module is
    A. REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    Parameters:

    How to download the blocked ALV output to PDF file.
    I am able to download the BLocked ALV output in PDF format,
    but the each bolck in ALV is displaying different pages of PDF.
    In my report I have 4 block in 1 page, I am able to see the output in PDF but in different page.
    How to avoid the Page-break in PDF.

    hi,
    I believe that your have 4 containers on the screen with individual ALV display. in this case, there is no way to get combined PDF output to my knowledge.
    However you can use Smartform/Sapscript as output which would allow you to display ALV in blocks and also print it in one.

  • Blocked ALV Excel Download Issue

    Hi Experts,
    My customers requirement is to download the output of Quotation Comparison Report with exact alignments as how it displays on Screen.
    When I tried to download from Standard SAP Save options, like List->save.... Export.. Spreadsheet........, I am not getting the same format into the Excel Sheet.
    I went into the program to check and found that it is a Blocked ALV.
    I have 3 Blocks in the Outputs.
    I am missing the alignment of Second Block having "Quoted" "Negotiated" to left side.

  • Difference between blocked ALV and Hierarchical ALV

    Hi All,
    Can some body tell me what's the difference between hierarchical and blocked ALV Report Please telle me some body what's the type of ALV it's displaying for the standard Report V/LD this is pricing report I want to develop custom report exactly looks as V/LD but the problem is I am not able to identify what's the ALV format it's displaying either Hierarchical or blocked?

    Hi Mahesh,
    Blocked ALV displays the data in blocks together in output. e.g. suppose you want to dsplay the data of header & item level. Then you candisplay the data of header records in first block & Item level data in another block on same output screen.
