Displaying Dollar sign in ALV

How to add the dollar sign infront of field with data type currency (CURR) ?
Need to display the amount field in the ALV report.
Please suggest any solution.

Hi ,
Take another character field .
Concatenate currency field value and '$' and move to character field and display .
This is Simple way .

go to the column properties of your report and there you will find a property called "Number / Date Format". Use the lov to choose a predefined format mask or just enter.

The example I gave is only for integers of course.
Depending on the type and size of your variable, you need to adjust the edit mask, in your case in to would be something like
V________.___
Every "_" means a digit, so check the lenght of the variable to adjust the edit mask

Display header along with ALV

i need to display a report using ALV in the following manner. im using reuse_alv_listdisplay and the display is fine . however, i need to add a header to the list and i need to display total for the currency fields. how can i do that. your help would be appreciated.

"Display scaling factors" only worked for my 1-structure queries. I have finance queries where the row is hardcoded with selections and formulas and the column are key figures and calculated key figures. The "Display scaling factor" option doesn't remove the $ signs away from all cells. Do you have any idea how I can get rid of them?

Displaying special characters in ALV report.

Hi Experts,
Can we display special characters in ALV reports? Special characters such as tick mark.(Like in character map(Font Bookshelf Symbol 7) of windows ).
I tried with icons in ALV report, I was able to display tick icon in the ALV report, but when we export the report in to a excel, the icons comes in as Hexadecimal code.
Can any we display special characters like tick in ALV report or display the icons in excel aswell?

Problem in display of text in ALV report

Dear experts,
I am working on a MM Report in which I need to display Material Basic data text maintained in MM01,02 Tcodes through ALV report.
I have declared a string type variable for the Basic data text in the Final Internal Table.
For reading the Standard text I am using Read_Text FM, from which I am looping the Text internal table and concatenating it into
String variable.
What I notice is all the content beyond 255 chars is not getting displayed, Even when the ALV report is downloaded to Excel file.
Can you suggest some approach to over come this issue.

APPEND lw_text TO lt_text.
CLEAR: lw_content, lw_text.
endloop.
Now your whole text is in "lt_text".

How to display NEGATIVE sign on the left side of a number in SMARTFORMS

Hi,
 In smartforms I'm trying to print some negative values, but the negative sign is displayed on the right hand side of the number.
How can I display the '-' sign on the left hand side of a number. I tried the logic &value(<), it works well in sap scripts. Why is it not working in smartforms ?
Eg : I'm getting the output as 126.75 -
 I want : - 126.75
