Displaying images - portrait/landscape
My images display correctly in landscape, but when I transfer to portrait they disappear - anyone any idea why or if there's a way to remedy this?

Isolating images in Landscape vs. Portrait
I'm having a weird problem with images. I'm not sure what the exact term is for this function, but normally if I tap on an image in landscape or portrait mode (assuming the image is in the media track in the latter mode), the image will isolate and fill up the screen. I'll call this isolate mode (it's also where you can toggle on or off the title/caption of the image, or click the X in the top left to return from the image back to the previous page you were on).
For some reason however, there are a few images in my file that won't isolate in landscape mode. I know that an image has to have a caption and/or title to work in isolate mode. But beyond that, even some images in landscape mode that have a title still won't isolate. At first, this seemed to be arbitrary. But after looking through my book (which is about 800 pages with 700+ images), I've noticed that it seems to be confined to images that I've placed that lay over a complete textbox area that's on my template.
For example, I have one template page with two large text boxes side by side (basically a normal landscape page divided in half, recreating a facing pages-type layout). If, then, on a landscape page using this layout, I then place an image over the same area size as one of these text boxes (basically covering it up exactly), even if the image has a title and/or caption, it still won't isolate when I finally export the file. However, the image will show up and isolate in portrait mode.
Is this a glitch, or something about the spec I'm missing?make sure your image is above your textbox (bring to front under "arrange")
and make sure "full screen" is selected.

Portrait landscape mystery switch
photos in my iPhoto library have mysteriously gone from one orientation to the other.
maybe related background --- This mystery was preceeded by an error when syncing my iPhone that said "the following image was not copied to your iPhone because it can not be viewed..." (something like that). However this specific error photo has not changed orientation and was not recently edited. This error may not be related at all to the portrait landscape mystery switch - but I just mention it to be complete. I tried editing this image that was not copied - to see if some change/edit and save might right it - but it didn't.

I sync my iPhone to my iMac almost every day.
Yesterday I noticed a photo on my iPhone had changed orientation. This morning I noticed a few others.
I tried editing them in iPhoto - and I see that the iPhoto preview shows the photo in the "wrong" orientation. When I double-click on the photo to edit it - it appears in the "right" orientation. (This is strange enough!)
On the iphone these same photos are in the "wrong" orientation.
In one album (for example) with 44 photos - about 6 of them have mysteriously switched orientation. In another album with 11 photos - 4 of them have switched orientation.So what happened to my 15,000+ iPhoto library?
Recent activity - I took photos and video on a vacation - 700+ total. While on vacation I moved them around using a macbook pro. When I got home I merged this library with my main iPhoto library on my iMac. Everything was fine for a few weeks - editing, emailing, mobileme, etc.
The first trouble I noticed was that an error was reported when I would sync my iPhone with my iMac. "photo could not be copied to the iPhone because it can not be viewed" or something like that. It was an old photo that I had edited and it was in the correct orientation.
The next trouble I noticed was photos on my iPhone had mysteriously "fallen over". Photos in portrait had gone to landscape. This was strange and over then next few days - as I looked thru my albums in iPhoto more - I noticed more and more photos mysteriously changed orientation.
Another indicator of trouble was when I selected a photo that had fallen over and clicked "edit" in iPhoto the photo could (I recall some did and some didn't) appear in the correct orientation. In other words - it seemed that the thumbnail did not match the file. I saw this with photos that were in albums that were in sync with my iPhone. The photo on the iPhone was "wrong", the thumbnail was "wrong", click edit and the file photo was in the correct (desired) orientation.
As I was working thru this trouble I had a few photos go missing. The thumbnail would be in iPhoto but clicking on it gave a triangle with the exclaimation point.
I tried rebuilding the iPhoto database. The process stopped. The Activity Monitor showed a process and cpu activity but nothing happened. No halts were reported in the Activity Monitor. The process ran for over 37 hours. When I Forced Quit - clicking on iPhoto opened a new blank library. I tried holding the alt key and navigating to the correct file - no good. Next I deleted the iPhoto library and restored the file from Time Machine. The file opened as expected with the fallen-over photos and all. (I love Time Machine!)
I tried again by repairing file permissions system wide. Then, repairing permissions in the iPhoto database. Checking photos all the same troubles. I tried to rebuild the database using the command + option key press at startup and it stopped again at some point many many hours into the process.
SOLUTION
I deleted the iPhoto database and brought forward the backup from Time Machine. I ran iPhoto Library Manager and built a new iPhoto library. As the 15,000+ photos flashed by - I did notice that a few (hard to keep track really) of the photos that had fallen over were duplicates. A dialog presented the photo in the correct orientation as the existing photo and asked if I wanted to import another (the other photo was in the wrong orientation). I selected "do not import" (so as not to import the duplicate photo in the wrong orientation) and the process continued. iPhoto failed to quit at the end of the process - which scared me for a few minutes. When the process finished I opened the iPhoto library. iPhoto Library Manager also presented a long error message that was cryptic - I was tired - so I clicked thru it.
I ran the iPhoto rebuild database on the file and it completed within a few hours.
This morning I made a couple albums and ran the sync with my iPhone.
All the photos in the few selcted albums are standing-up in the correct orientation. These are photos that were previously fallen over - in the wrong orientation.
Everything looks good right now.
SUGGESTED
- Use Time Machine - it's brought me out of the dark - more than once - flawlessly!!!
- iPhoto Library Manager is a must have

Portrait/landscape orientation filter
Is it possible to search exif data to locate all images shot portrait and all images shot landscape?
RossIn the search HUD you can bring up Other Metadata>Orientation, but it searches by the current orientation, not the orientation as-shot.

IPhone 4 only displays everything in landscap only and wont rotate pages
My iPhone 4 will only display everything in landscape mode...email, web pages, calculator...whatever can be rotated from portrait to landscape, it will only display in landscape and only the landscape mode as if the phone was rotated to the left. What should I do?
There is a setting for this with an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync on an iPhone.
I don't know the exact location for this since I don't access an Exchange account with the iPhone's mail client, but there is an option to sync all messages or the last 30 days, etc. Check all available account settings on your iPhone. -

Hi everyone, I am a newbie for labview. I just wanna ask you about image display in labview. Now I can display one image in my front panel. I open the file path and display it. First thing I wanna do is that is it possible to display on monitor full screen not on front panel and second thing is that how can I display images in folder and display it about 2 seconds delay in between? How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?
Hi,
In Report builder 10g, I would like to create a Report with Form Line Style and this report included a Image field.
I can choose this Style only when Select Report type is Paper Layout. Because, If I choose Create both Web & Paper Layout or Create Web Layout only then in the next Style tab 03 option Form, Form letter and Mailing Label be Disabled.
But in Paper Layout, my report can not display Image field.
I tried with Web layout and all the other Styles (Except 03 mentioned be Disabled) then all Styles are displayed Imager field OK.
How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?
I was change File Format property of my Image field from text to Image already in Property Inspector. But report only showed MM for my Image field.

bachnpHere you go..Just follow these steps blindly and you are done.
1) Create a year prompt with presentation variable as pv_year
2) Create a report say Mid report with year column selected 3 times
- Put a filter of pv_year presentation variable on first year column with a default value say @{pv_year}{2008}
- Rename the second time column say YEAR+1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)+1
- Rename the second time column say YEAR-1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)-1
Now when you will run Mid Report, this will give you a records with value as 2008 2009 2007
3) Create your main report with criteria as Year and Measure col
- Change the fx for year column as CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)
- Now put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = greater than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report
Use values in Column = YEAR-1
- Again,put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = less than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report (incase it doesn't allow you to select then select any other request first and then select Mid Report)
Use values in Column = YEAR+1
This will select Year > = 2007 AND Year < = 2009. Hence the results will be for year 2007,2008,2009
This will 100% work...

Problem Displaying Images in a JFrame
I am writing a program that displays images on a JFrame window. I have been reading the other postings about this topic however I have not been able to make my code work. I am hoping there is some obvious solution that I am not noticing. Please help, I am very confused!

Also (but I think you've done it already), you could do that :

That way you'll be certain that the path given is correct.

I am running a Linux (no NI Vision support) LabVIEW application where I have a “main” DAQ VI collecting raw u8 data. I want to be able to display the data as an image in a sub-VI. The first time I call the sub-VI to display the first image everything works fine, however, on the second and subsequent calls to the sub-VI I get an error saying that the sub-Vi is already open and needs to be closed before being called. I don’t have the screen space to adequately display images in the main VI and still have the DAQ controls visible.
Is there a way to have one VI continuously collect and format image data and then display the data in a second VI?

In the example you provided the sub-VI is called, executes, and terminates. I need to be able to repeatedly call a sub-VI that does not terminate. I need to do this so that I can update an image and allow an operator to view the image (and perform event functions on the image such as mouse click).
Is there a way for a main VI to call a sub-VI and not have to pend (wait) for the sub-VI to complete execution?
Is there a way to call (i.e. pass data) to a sub-VI that is already running?

In the transaction OAOR, you should be able to insert your company Logo.
GOTO - OAOR (Business Document Navigator)
Give Class Name - PICTURES Class Type - OT..... then Execute
It will show you the list, then select ENJOYSAP_LOGO.
On that list, you will find one control with a "create" tab.
Click std. doc types.
Select SCREEN and double-click.
It will push FILE selection screen.
Select your company logo (.gif) and press OK.
It will ask for a description- for instance: "company logo".
It will let you know your doc has been stored successfully.
You can find your logo under ENJOYSAP_LOGO->Screen->company logo.
Just run your ALV program, you should find your company logo in place of the EnjoySAP logo.

Display image in detail groups in jheadstart 11.1.1.3.35
Hi, I've been trying to make a project that should display one picture in one of the detail groups. but when i generate the jheadstart definition editor and run the project, it shows an empty box for the image (image is not loaded).
I've seen the source code and every thing seems right and when i use that detail group as a master group the image display just fine.
is jheadstart 11g have a problem for displaying image in detail groups? because I've heard this option works in 10g pretty fine.
please help me how i can fix this problem and i have to say my project deadline is coming :(We are not aware of such a problem.
To really check whether it is related to a detail group, can you temporarily make the detail group a top-level group, generate and run your application to see whether the problem goes away?
Make sure you first uncheck the Same Page checkbox before you drag and drop the detail group to become a top group.
There is a known ADF issue that when you upload a new image, the new image is only shown when you restart the session.
