Hi,
Create a character fornat in STYLE with Fon style BOLD ( second radio button in SMARTFORMS tcode)
before displaying your text apply this character format to the text which you need bold
eg: character format is <C1>
Write <C1> your text <C1 or using Include statement include the text

Hi,
I created one Smart Form.
In that i created the Text element.
I provide some data also in that.
It is coming as a MS WORD.
I executed my smart form.
Customer Number: &WA_KNA1-KUNNR&
it display the data of the particular customer.
But i need to display the Customer Number as BOLD or else Increase the Size.
For this also I created one SMARTSTYLE.
In that I created the Paragraph and Character Formats also.
Now i assignee that SMARTSTYLE in the Output Option Tab of the Text Element also.
But i unable to get the CUSTOMER NUMBER in Bold.
In MS WORD we have BOLD button.
I selected the Text and Press the BOLD button. At that time it is Highlighted.
Whenever i press the SAVE Button.
Then it is not saved with BOLD.
It is coming in Normal Format.
In the ECC 6.0. I am unable to get the Text as a BOLD.
This text Element is like a MS WORD.
Can you please tell me how to display the Data with BOLD. please tell me. I am unable to get that one.

Hi,
Check where u have given BOLD. In character Format or in Paragraph format.
In SMART FORM,
1. Change to OLD EDITOR if u are confused with the new one.
        (This can be done by clicking the button left to new editor ).
2. If it is PARAGRAPH FORMAT,
           Give the name of paragraph format in the editor.
            P1         &WA_KNA1-KUNNR&
    If it is CHARACTER FORMAT,
                         <C1> &WA_KNA1-KUNNR&

Smartforms - displaying the include text restricting to spras.?

In Smartforms i have used include text to display Header text of an invoice .
I provided all the relevant details for the include text such as,
1:text name:wa_vbdkr-vbeln
2:text object-vbbk
3: text -id-0001
4:language-nast-spras.
The problem is in the output it always displays english text eventhough nast-spras is Slovakian .Output should be blank if not maintained.(Header can be maintained in any language).
Is there any possibility of displaying the text restricting to spras.

Thanks for your reply .
We use the so10 only when we have fixed data such as address then we go for it.
But that's not my case .Header text can be changed any time for given Invoice.
If maintained it should appear for that language if not it should be blank.

Just give atry in this way..
open the same program ans selection-screen screen no will be 1000 in se51 screen painter,
go to properties of the texts u want to change then go to display tab and check the checkbox bright.
it may or may not work but this will work in module pool .
just give a try...

Displaying text in bold weight using PL/SQL

I am trying to display some text using PL/SQL. I would like it to display in bold, but I haven't been able to find anything that will work. I tried using htp and htf which supposedly creates html tags, but I couldn't get that to work properly. I also tried the srw built in package. My code currently looks like this:

And it only displays if the variable number_of_holes is not null. I want it so that 'NUMBER OF HOLES LOGGED' is bold but the actual output from the database is not.

One approach could be:
Instead of using a PL/SQL formula, follow any one of the two ways suggested above by Vinayak / Sripathy, and make only your Text Bold.
Then go to the Property inspector of the fields that you have created, and in all the fields (wherever you want) - whether it is a repeating frame, or a boilerplate text or a data field, you choose "Conditional Formatting" from the Property Inspector and do the following:
New.. > If the value of: > Number_of_holes > Null > Hide the Object.
This will print the whole text + number only whenever the number is Not Null.

Making a Display as Text (saves state) Item Element Bold

I have no clue how to do it - need to make the element (not the label) bold.

Cannot do, you must use Display as text (does not save state). If the item acquires its value during page rendering and you need to save that acquired value in session state, just use a hidden item to carry the value to the after-submit phase and use the text value only for rendering.

i have a long text stored in a field in database . i want to specify that firld in the include text so that it can be fetched and displayed... biut my problrm is about the display of the long text . there r certain words in the long text that is to be dipalyed in bold or may as next paragraph..... how will i customize it....
also if i do any change in the field by inserting a code node will that refelct.....

From MENU GOTO-> HEADER
you will find the 4 paramaters like OBJECT,ID,OBJECTNAME and LANGUAGE
using these 4 parameters fetch the Long Text using the fun module READ_TEXT in the driver program or in the PROGRAM LINES of the Smartform and split that long text (it_lines lines) as per your wish and make them Bold and display

The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.

If the system finds the desired text, it returns the text header in this parameter.

The table contains all text lines that belong to the text read.

Exceptions:
ID
The text ID specified in the parameter ID does not exist in table TTXID. It must be defined there together with the object of the text module.
LANGUAGE
The parameter LANGUAGE contains a language key that does not exist in table T002.
NAME
The parameter NAME contains the name of a text module that does not correspond to the SAPscript conventions.
Possible errors:
The field contains only blanks.
The field contains the invalid characters * or ,.
OBJECT
The parameter OBJECT contains the name of a text object that does not exist in table TTXOB.
NOT_FOUND
The system did not find the specified text module.
REFERENCE_CHECK
The text module to be read has no text lines of its own but refers to the lines of another text module. This reference chain can include several levels. For the current text, the chain is interrupted, that is, one of the text modules referred to in the chain no longer exists.
WRONG_ACCESS_ TO_ARCHIVE
The exception WRONG_ACCESS_TO_ARCHIVE is triggered if an archive is accessed using an incorrect or non-existing archive handle or an incorrect mode (that is, read if the archive is open for writing or vice versa).

Including text to contract and copy in PO

Hi,
     I have created a text with a text name(PO_TEXT) in SO10 transaction. When creating contract(ME31k), in release order text, i have included the text that i have created.But it is not displaying the text that i have created. It is just saying that "INCLUDED PO_TEXT". I have created P.O against this contract. Even in print preview of this PO, it is displaying the same but not the actual text.
        Is there any configuration that is to be done for the text to be displayed,but not the text name.
          Please reply me as soon as you can.

this is just what you are seeing on the paper or in the text overview, I am talking about the sapscript text.
Go to your contract ME32K, go into the text overview, double click the text to open it in the editor.
In the editior you can choose from menu GOTO > CHANGE EDITOR
to switch between SAPSCRIPT Editor and Graphical Editor.
In Graphical Editor the include line has a dark grey background.
In Sapscript editor is an extra column for the command /:
without this you just have text.

1. The RFQ number is displayed using a variable so the text type is Text Element
2. Header text, has to be got form the standard text , so the text type is include text.
how can i print both in the same line.

You can use a charecter variable whos length >= length of RFQ no + Length of Header string .
Concatenate both in this variable. And print the variable.

How to print some text in BOLD in a classical report

Hi,
I need to print some selected text in BOLD in classical report.
Went through SDN forum...came across some suggestions like using class cl_dd_document and its functions..
The problem is that one of its function "add_text" allows to highlight text...but the display function "display_document" requires a container to display, whereas mine is a simple classical report...am i wrong somewhere..or is there any other method to do the same...

I am not sure that is possible on a classical report ntu you can use colors to highlight a part of the report output in order to check the various options you have with format is to check F1 on format.

Kaki,
Delcare a table and getting the LONG TEXT is not the right way of doing this.
You create a TEXT object and change the TYPE to INCLUDE TEXT. Once that is done all you have to do specify the parameters of your long text - TEXT ID, TEXT OBJECT and TEXT NAME. These are the same parameters that you use for READ_TEXT funciton. You don't have to fetch the text manually, it happens automatically.
Make sure this is a part of the main window as this might run into multiple pages.

I have prepared an application for Android in Adobe Flash Builder. In application there are prayers in Arabic as a list. In app , short prayers are displaying quickly, but long prayers are displaying after a long time. This is my problem.

Using xsl stylesheet with List View Web Part to display custom text

i have an xsl stylesheet with sharepoint listview webpart. The list view shows some items based on a filter. I want to display custom text such as "No Items" when there are zero items in the list view using the xsl stylesheet. How do i achieve

I have customised the list view webpart using a custom xsl file by including it in the xsl link of the list view webpart. So i think i need to include the condition in the xsl file itself else it wont work. Since the list view webpart isnt using the default
xsl. Please let me kknow if you have any idea about including a condition in xsl to check if there are not items in view.

How to display LONG TEXT STRING in Module Pool Screen ?

Hi Experts,
I want to display long text string, on screen designed through module pool(SE51). I tried to display through input/output field , but it displays it in SINGLE LINE and i have to scroll all through to view all string.
I want to display it in rectangular format . It doesnt allow me to set HEIGHT of component.
Please provide solution.
