23" display looses power when either USB or firewire cables are connected

I was actively using my computer when one of my 2 23" cinema displays lost power. I thought it died and was unplugging everything, when I discovered that it powered back on when both the connected USB and FIREWIRE cables were disconnected from my mac. If I connect either one, it immediately goes black (with no white LED). Any solutions outside of taking the thing in for repair?

I'm leaning toward suspecting the 65w power brick of delivering insufficient power to the monitor to drive the USB/Firewire load. Gonna try a different power brick and see if that makes any difference.

HP Photosmart C310 Series Printer Display and power LED not lit...still able to print.

I am not sure what happened. I was printing, walked upstairs, came back down and the display and power LED on my Photosmart C310 were off. I thought the circuit for the outlet had tripped but that was not the case. I unplugged the printer, disconnected the power supply and let it sit for 2 minutes. Plugged it back in and nothing changed. Forced off printer/reboot?..nothing changed. Tried online utility. Useless. Is this common? Is there a solution? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Have had problems with HP and Compaq in past and obviously made a mistake buying again. Product is past warranty and I am not willing to pay to speak with a "representative" who is on a computer using a diagnostic tree program literally taking shots in the dark. Thanks but no thanks HP. I experince the exact same issues and have for most of the time I have owned my C310A. I've gone through all the firmware upgrades, the useless patches etc. something is WRONG with the printer as my power modules continues to pump out the voltage after the printer shuts down(I've confirmed with a voltmeter). My printer will be printing a photo and the display will shut off, the power light and wireless LED lights go off BUT the photo continues to printer and the carriage will return to its resting spot THEN remain unresponsive till I go through the unplug routine. It's no wonder HP discontinued this printer and I'm throughly disgusted at tthe lack of quality in the components. I('ve gone through at leat 5 HP printers in the last6 years, each printer failing to either power issues or ink delivery systems. There is a very obvious lack of quality control. I feel as thoughHP sells the shoddy printers to force continual upgrades and flow of ink sales. The design and engineering and features of the C310 A is to be commended but the qulaity and reliabilty of the mfg. product is abysmaly horrible. HP once had a solid quality control methodology that was second to none now its just too little and too late.

On any machine, please try:
Click the "Options" tab on the PowerPoint toolbar,
then select "Play Full Screen" from the "Movie Options" group.
The "Options" tab is located directly underneath the "Movie Tools" button.

To disable 'power button lockout' hold the power button about 30 sec.
If the monitor turns off then it's maybe more a pc problem?

I implemented news carousel using display template concepts.
Its working.
But some times it shows like some thing went wrong

Finally we fixed.
The prob is that we referring two different version of jquery files in master page and page layout.
We corrected by referring same version of jquery files in both pages

Your question is certainly lacking some information.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Music skips when the display off power setting kicks in

I have a Satellite S55T-B5152, running Windows 8 (until 10 comes out). I've noticed a very odd and irritating problem - when playing my local music via VLC Media Player (just mp3s from the hard drive), I notice that the audio will start to skip after a few minutes. I timed how long it took to start and it will happen after 10 minutes of no activity when plugged in, and after 2 minutes of no activity when on battery, each and every time. I investigated my power settings and it turns out this *exactly* the amount of time when my display is set to turn off. When I alter the time for the display to turn off, the time elapsed until the audio skips will follow it exactly. I tested this with another mp3 player (Foobar) as well and got the same results. I can't test this with video as my display won't turn off if I'm playing video (either in the player or via the internet). What's also kind of interesting is that if I close my lid, which turns off the display, it won't cause the audio to skip - it will ONLY happen when the time to turn off the display has elapsed. So if my time to turn off display is 2 minutes, I can close my lid and the audio plays fine, but after exactly 2 minutes, the audio will start skipping. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It's very annoying - I basically can't play music unless I set the display to never turn off, which I'd prefer not to do for power saving and longevity reasons. Help would be much appreciated.

Mount the Disk Image on the Desktop. Open Disk Utility and select the dmg file in the left hand pane:
Next insert a blank DVD and click on the Burn button at the top. In the next window select the burn speed you want. I use 2x.
Always use top quality media: Verbatium, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

Hi everybody, my first MSI product ever and I'm not having alot of luck so far.
I'm building a new system, and on first(and every) boot, I get no sound, no beeps, nothing on the display but "check signal). I've tried just one stick of ram in either slot and no difference. I`ve tried 2 monitors, both Dsub and DVI cables(just to make sure). The power and HDD light come on and the 2 sysfans and the cpu fan all spin up. There is no noise from the hard drive. I`ve also crossed the JBAT1 jumpers for 20 seconds(with a screwdriver, I don`t have any jumpers around to use), I also removed the battery for 30 seconds. Everything I`ve done has changed absolutely nothing. My guess is the board is bad, any suggestions?

It's been a couple years since I did a build and I forgot about the 4pin cpu pwr connector(P4). Aggh, oh well. It posted and now I'm gonna install Win7.

Nothing at all, no display, no power to KB

I wasn't sure if this would fall under a hardware issue or not soooo
I have a Satelite C855-S5123 Running windows 8,
When I connect the power cord, all three of my lights are lit in the front, however;
there is no display on my monitor and the keyboard has no power bc the buttons wont work.
I tried the Cntl/alt/reset combo to go into boot mode and nothing, and the F-12 button doesnt work either,
the num lock light wont light, so im thinking it is not getting any power.
the fan runs , I opened the back pannel to make sure the Hard Drive was seated properly.
I ordered the USB Media thingy, and i am not able to use it bc unable to bring up the boot menu,
any ideas?

You can try using an external display, to see if that works. If it doesn't, then it sounds like you may have a motherboard issue.
