Displaying news

Hello @ all,
I want store news in an other repository than documents/news.
So long that is not the problem. The problem is when I open the news I just see a xml file. The aim is that I want to see the news in that way they a presented when you open the news in the repository documents/news. There the news are displayed with the application com.sap.km.cm.xmlformpreview.
To achieve this objectiv I added the repository where I want to store the news in the XML Forms Repository Filter. Then I set the XSLT Filter to this repository with the effect that the news a now displayed as html in the browser and no longer more as xml. But the style of the html-presentation is not the same as the news-presentation is in the repository documents/news.
So my question is how can I achieve my objectiv to display the news in that way they were represented in document/news repository.

Hi Kai,
try to modify the oth file named xmlforms.oth. You can find it under /etc/oth.
Locate the tag <Paths> and add a new path, for example a new repository manager, where you'll put your news.
For example:
<Path>/MyRM/**</Path>

Safari will not display new domain endings on iPad

Safari will not display new domain endings, instead goes to google, other browsers have no issue with this just safari. My domain per example ends in .photo rather than .com etc.... This is only an issue on the iPad or mobile app of safari.

You need to check that website again, after clearing the cookies from browser. If it still unable to connect with the website having new domain names then message to Safari forum about the problem or inform them via feedback option available in browser. Hopefully they would troubleshoot this problem.

Delay in displaying new images

Here's the situation.
Shooting tethered with a Nikon D800E. Using Nikon Camera Control Pro to operate the camera. Using Adobe Bridge CS6 to monitor the destination folder. There is often a delay before Bridge will display new images. For several exposures in a row Bridge will display new images as they are created. Eventually it get to the point where it will not display a new shot. When you take a second shot, both it and the preivious image will appear together. Some times two shots in a row will not apprear and upon taking a third shot all three will apprear. I've tried switching thumbnail options, Prefer Embedded, On Demand, HQ, it's a little more responsive when using the embeded thumnail but still has the issue.
I've tried two workstations. A MacPro 3.1 running OSX 10.6.8 and a Mini 6.2 running 10.8.3. Bridge has the same problem on both some what worse on the Mini.
Has anyone seen this problem when monitoring a folder that is activly receiving new images?
On a side note, it would be great if Bridge would scroll to display new images. Seems like it would have to auto select the newest image.

Display New, Save, Query buttons on the screen/applet in siebel application

Hi,
I have created one application screen using siebel tools. I want to display 'New', Save', 'Query' etc. buttons to be displayed on that screen in siebel application. How can i do that?

Hi,
You should have used the wizard to create your applet. That way you can pick the controls you want on your applet.
You can also add them manually.
You should be reading Siebel bookshelf and finding the answers for yourself. Don’t be lazy!

Have you any budget to spend? If so, I'd suggest looking at the Lighning Tools Lightning Conductor Web Part. This'll allow you to combine multiple libraries into one. You can then set a date filter to show the most recent 3/4 days of documents
only.

Display new row on Entry

Hello all,
I have an application that contains master and details relationship.
The problem is that when I new a record, the child contains no row, the layout of the child group will not be shown.
"No row found" was shown in the page.
I have tried to enable the "Display new row on Entry" to true or when no row found, however, it is not working.
Any suggestion to enable the layout of the child group even it contains no row?

This seems to an ongoing issue (see related discussion link). We've been experiencing the same update lag since last Friday. The new additions to the Collection appear and are accessible in both the iPad and iPhone applications, but even though they additions appear in "Quick View", the material doesn't appear in the Collection itself. Apple is aware of the issue and is investigating. All the best...

Why do IMAP accounts not display new messages in viewer?

I have been having persistent problems with Mail not displaying new IMAP messages in the viewer. I know the messages are on the server because I can see them on my iPhone. Sometimes they will appear if I quit Mail, then relaunch it. Other times it is necessary to restart to make them appear. I have deleted and recreated the accounts (MobileMe and Gmail), reinstalled the 10.5.7 update and applied the latest Java update.
The Console messages make it seem like in might be a conflict with Safari 4.02. Upon starting Mail I get messages like this:

I've seen similar complaints elsewhere in forums, but have found no solutions. Is there one?

Can you refrain from viewing the messages on the iPhone, and only check via webmail to see if new ones are then failing to be noted?
Btw, in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced is use IDLE selected for either account -- I select it for MobileMe, but not for Gmail? When selected for MobileMe, the mail is "pushed" to eligible devices, and in Mail, results in the new message chime not sounding for that one account.

Stocks app not displaying news since update

Since updating iphone 5 32GB to ios 8 the stocks app has stopped displaying news for any of the stock symbols. Price graph and stats are still displayed. I found this to be a very useful feature and long to have it back.

What happens if you click the arrow next to 9 Updates Available?
Could these 9 updates not be available until you first upgrade to Mavericks?
Since you are running a legacy version of OS X, it is difficult for those of us running current versions to assist you. I am requesting the the ASC Hosts move your topic to the OS X 10.6 forum where folks also running this legacy version frequent and are more likely able to assist in figuring out what you are encountering.
In my experience, the answer to your question is no, Apple has not become a control freak with updates.
BTW, you can't be running 10.6.5 as there is no Mac App Store available for the old version of OS X.

Hi Pradeep,
if you want to display news, you've got to create/copy some news documents in the 'news' folder. The folder resides in the KM folder, beneath
the 'document' folder. You'll get access to that folder hierarchy with the Content Manager role -> Explorer.
Second question was how to configure the submenu. I'm afraid I don't understand completely what your question was about that ...
What means configure? Do you want to change the structure of that menu or are you looking forward to configure the Content
of that menu items? Please specify your question a little more. Then I'll try to answer it ...
For calendar you've to configure the Calendar iView and to do some collaboration configuration tasks ... But I'm not the
expert for that topics ... ))

OSX 10.5.8 Mail stop displaying new mail on 24/5/2012

Hi All,
I've got 2 gmail account in my mac mail. One of them stopped display new mail on 24/5/2012. The last mail that I've got is 23:45pm 23/5/2012. When I try to get new mail for that mail box, the mail ativity shows they are loading 43 incoming messages. However, once the loading is done, nothing shows up.
As I said i've got 2 gmail accounts in the mail and the other account is working fine.
Any ideas?

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

Crystal Reports 13 VS2010 Report does not display new data

The project is written in VS2010 connecting to an Access 2007 DB. It is running on a local network. All reports work fine from the standpoint that data is displayed on the reports HOWEVER, if a data table is updated the newley entered records do not show up on the report yet when I examine the database the records have been added to the table.
I hit refresh and the new records still do not appear. I've closed out the session and re-started the software and the records do not appear. It's almost as if the DB is 'frozen'. Suggestions?

Problem with that sample is it hits the MDB directly and not the ODBC DSN. The Jet engine is being deprecated by MS so the solution is to use ODBC or OLE DB to any version of Access.

See if that works for you. You'll have to change the info to ODBC from OLE DB. You can get the info from an app also, Ludek has a link to it, it will generate code to use RAS to set log on info...

Interactive Report - Display New/Changed Columns

Hi,
when I add or change a column in Interactive Reports, APEX doesn't show me the new column automatically.
Everytime the user log in, he has to go on "Actions" and "Select Columns" manually, otherwise the new/changed column won't be displayed.
How can I do that the column is displayed automatically after login?
I am using APEX 4.0.2.00.07.

Either you, as a Developer, can save the report as Public.
Or an aithorized user can save the report as a General/Shared Report.
Or the user can save the report as a Private one.
Pick the columns you/user wants to see. Then [Action -> Save]
