Displaying only active BOMs using CS20 ?

Hi Friends ,
I need to know is there way after i excecute CS20 transaction i can display only active BOMs . Is this possible ? Because right now it displays both active and inactive BOMs.

I just found out that the user does not enter the VALID FROM date . All that is entered into the selection criteria is Material , Usage , Change Number , Plant .
Will entering VALID FROM date help solve the problem of seeing only the active BOMs .

Having to display only one record using XML tags in XML Publisher

I have a query which returns two rows for one particular contract number. Output contains in the following style.
ID | Contract_No | Item_Desc | Item_Num | colA | colB | Term_Dur
1 ABC1 Item1 12 Y Y 20
2 ABC1 Item2 13 Y Y 20
the rows returned are having a column called 'Term_Duration' which is same and I'm using the for-each loop mean for every different Item_Desc column, corresponding terms are being displayed in the RTF document. Here I want the report to display the contract details only once if the 'Term_Dur' value is the same when queried up for a contract number.
However the current RTF template is displaying both the two rows when the 'Term_Dur' is having a same value.
P.S: I am a novice in using the XML Publisher and please provide your suggestions on the above requuirement.

Display only 1 record using uploaded PDF document from 3rdparty Website

Any help will be very much appreciated....
I'm trying to create my first BI publisher report using a PDF document from 3rd party website. I want to populate the name from EMP table to one of the fields in the PDF doc.
Here's the steps I've done:
1. Created and saved a data set using only the ENAME column of EMP table. 14 records are available from the table.
2. Run xml output and then save as sample data.
3. Downloaded the PDF doc from the 3rd party website (government form - US Custom Form 7512).
4. Using Adobe Acrobat X Version 10.1.4, I mapped the element name (ENAME) from my input XML file to the Name field.

There could be an issue with the Loop. I guess your Template is looking at the first record only and not reading through all the records.
Try to get the BI Publisher Desktop tool. Using this tool you can merge PDF document and XML to see the output from your local PC/Laptop. It will be easy for you to debug.

By the face of the heading I am unable to understand your requirement.
However I am answering this with an assumption that while you do an F4 search help for searching the cost centers and at this juncture you don't want all the inactive cost centers to be supprssed.
If my assumption of your requirement is correct there is no standard functionality available. However you can customize your search help with an ABAPer who can code the display of values as per your requirement.

How to use ShowValue within a UIX/JSP page to display an active link?

I am storing URL's in the DB and want to display them as active links on a UIX/JSP page. I thought that I had this working some time ago, but now it no longer works.
Using <bc4juix:RenderValue datasource="ds1" dataitem="myTextField" /> will display "http://www.otn.oracle.com" as an inactive link using UIX/XML which is expected.
Using <jbo:ShowValue datasource="ds1" dataitem="myTextField" /> will display an active link using if using BC4J/JSP, which is expected.
However, I have not been able to do this using a UIX/JSP page.
Is it possible to use ShowValue within a UIX/JSP page to display an active link?

This has been answered many, many times. A recent one is:
SAP_ALL DISPLAY only
If you use the search box at the top of this forum for SAP_ALL_DISPLAY you will get plenty of responses.
To create a real SAP_ALL display takes quite a wuile as it involves a lot more than changing activity values to display ones. To start with, you need to be very careful about what you allow in the S_* objects.

Display only in Items assignement block

Hi experts.
I have a requirement where one of the columns of the "items" assignment block should be made display only.
I used the transaction bsp_wd_cmpwb to configure - but as this is a table view I don't have the option for display only (generally available for over view page. I am specifically looking for Product description in the items assignment block.
Can this be done by configuring. Do I need to code any thing. if yes please suggest how.

Did you try to redefine method GET_I_xxx of your DESCRIPTION field already?
Check out if adding this line of code can do the trick:
rv_disabled = 'TRUE'.

Mass Display Only

Hello everyone.
I am cleaning up the Security work of someone here before me. We have _DEV roles in our QA environment. Management has indicated they want a single comprehensive DISPLAY only role create that covers all positions on the project team.
I have looked into turning the single roles display only, however time wise it isn't feasible.
I have looked for a single display only profile to use - did find many display only profiles - not sure if they cover everything I need.
Has anyone ever had to create a comprehensive display only role for an entire project team? I need two roles, one for BI 7 and one for CRM 7.
Is there an established best practice for creating mass display only roles?
Would love to hear your advice and opinions.

I have the white MacBook and a 32'' panasonic TV connected via mini-DVI/DVI/HDMI, I have both wireless Apple Keyboard and Mouse (by bluetooth). How can I close the MacBook's screen without getting it to sleep mode and use the external display only while the MacBook's screen is closed??

Displaying diff dates using PL/SQL expression for 'display only' item ?

I am having a display only item -- :P2_FROM_Date . If its Thu,Fri,Sat or Sun I want to set the date as the last Monday's date . If its Mon,Tue or Wed then it should be the present Monday's date .
E.g: Today is Friday and the last Monday was on 18th .
So for yesterday , today,tomorrow and Sunday , the date should be displayed as 18-JUN-2012.
From the coming Monday to Wednesday , the date should of be the coming Monday i.e , 24-JUN-2012
I tried it doing under 'Source ' of item using PL/SQL expression and PL/SQL function body. Not working
Can someone help ?

Displaying only the luma channel in Speedgrade when using direct link. Is it possible?

Hi!
The idea here is to be able to display only tle the Y (luma) channel i preview window of Speedgrade. I know that this is possible when grading in a new crated project in Speedgrade.
Timeline/View/Channel Display. I know that there are shortcuts to display the separate RGB channels but there is no short cut to display the isolated luma.
Do You guys know if there is a solution to customize shortcuts in Speedgrade? Or is there another method to display the luma when working in SG on a directlink created project?
The reason for this is a project thats supposed to be graded in BW with an ability to manipulate colors/channels values underneath the bw display. Because after adding the BW "filter" or decreasing the saturation value all of the controls become "some sort" immune to color data below the bw grade witch gives no ability to preform corrections to particular channels/ colors with live preview in BW. Of course we could try to desaturate the monitor but turning the colors back and forth every time would be a coffin nail in production time
Any hints greatly appreciated.

Correct me if I'm misunderstanding your issue, but I believe Speedgrades layers apply effects linearly based on the information passed to them by the layer directly below. Could you achieve your solution by using two (or more) primary layers, with the bottom layer being used for manipulating colours, and with the top layer to desaturate?
If switching back and forth is important, you could add a single effects layer over the entire projectt on a track above, and then just apply a primary that desaturates to that effects layer. Then you could just switch it on and off by toggling the visibility of the track.

Using External Display Only - Gaming

Hi,
I want to be able to connect my HP w2207h 22inch widescreen external LCD to m'y Macbook Pro running leopard to allow me to play games such as SPORE and The Sims 3. I have already set the external monitor as primary in os x but every time that I start the games that I want to play, the whole screen goes blank (both of them) and the external screen turns itself off. I then have to unplug it to get the picture to appear on the macbook again so I can exit. I still have no idea how to play these games on the external display with this problem.
I have been able to solve this problem in bootcamp however, with the function to turn off the macbookpro display and keep the external by itself. I really want to play these games in os x and on my external display.
Does anyone know how to do this or how to make it so that the macbookpro screen isn't used at all (i.e. the external display is the only one in use)?? Some third-party application?

Timmy, that doesn't seem logical, buddy. If you use the MBP keyboard, I'm quite sure that it thinks u wanna use the MBP display as well. It would seem an inconvenience, to me, to have it open while using another display, anyway. I'm with the idea of using another keyboard & mouse. That's what I do.
I have a ? for ya. U mentioned that u know how to get the external display to be primary while using BootCamp XP. I have done that in the past with no problem. However, it quit working. If I close my MBP, the display turns off & XP will not allow me to do anything until I open the MBP & log back in. If I try to leave the MBP open off to the side & use the Cinema Display as primary XP laughs at me & will only open the game on the MBP display. In XP Settings, the option to uncheck the MBP display as primary is grayed out & there is no option to turn on mirroring for either display or set the Cinema Display as primary. How were u doing what ever u did to use your external display for gaming on BootCamp XP?

Why cannot I use hidden or display only item to store value for insert?

There is a column, offender_ID, which is a foreign key for another table, it should not be null during insert. However, even I pass the offender ID from master page when user click the create button, and it did shows in the form, it must be a text filed to insert successfully, why cannot I use hidden or display only item to store this value for insert? (If I use hidden or display only item, insert won't be successful, apex reports I tried to insert a null value to offender_ID column.)

Display Only items have a "Setting" of "Save Session State" Yes/No? That can be a problem.
Would you do this? Make these items regular items instead and see if you can get those working. Then, we will try to change the fields back to hidden or display only.
