Displaying page(.mxml) not popup in ActionScript.

Question

Hi All,
    Added following code in ActionScript and it is working fine(displaying page in pop-up).
    PopUpManager.addPopUp(WesternStatesModel.appHome, WesternStatesModel.appLogin as DisplayObject);
    Rather than displaying page in pop-up I'd like to open this page, how to do this in ActionScript.

               <mx:Label id="home_label"/>    
             <mx:DataGrid id="dg" dataProvider="{WesternStatesModel.resultDG}" width="327">
                <mx:columns>
                     <mx:DataGridColumn dataField="code" headerText="Code"/>
                    <mx:DataGridColumn dataField="name" headerText="Name"/>                     
                </mx:columns>
            </mx:DataGrid>
           </mx:Canvas>
    </mx:ViewStack>
</mx:Panel>
In my controller(ActionScript)
I can open this page with below line
  PopUpManager.addPopUp(WesternStatesModel.appHome, WesternStatesModel.appLogin as DisplayObject);
here appHome is referencing to Home() object. Is there anyway we can open Home.mxml file without addPopUp I even tried below way but still it is not working
WesternStatesModel.appHome.homeViewStack.selectedIndex=0;
