Displaying photos from iPhone on MacBook
How do I use my MacBook Pro to display (on a larger screen) a photo event that I have transferred from my iMac to my iPhone? This should be a very simple thing to do, similar to how I can play music from my iPhone on my MacBook using iTunes. However, the only option I see when I open iPhoto on my MacBook is to import photos from the iPhone camera roll, which I do not want to do. I just want to display the photos in a single Event on the iPhone on the MacBook to take advantage of the larger display.
Am hoping somebody can help me solve this seemingly simple problem. Thanks.
The key combination ⌥⌘
That is the alt-key ⌥ (also called option key) and the command key ⌘ held down at the same time.
On my keyboard these two keys are right beside the space bar:

I'd like to transfer the photos from iPhone to MacBook Air. My iPhoto used to detect my iPhone automatically, but it doesn't happen anymore. How could I fox this? Thanks for helping!
Check the iPhoto preferences:
From the main menu bar: iPhoto > Preferences > General:
"Connecting camera opens" : Set this option to "iPhoto".
If that does not help, disconnect your iPhone and reset your iPhone.
To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -

Transfer photos from iPhone to MacBook
Hello:
The hard drive on my MacBook crashed two weeks ago and I have replaced it. Most important loss was the entire iPhoto library that I had not backed up. Much of that, however, is on my iPhone, and I want to know the most efficient method of transferring those photos to my MacBook. Is there a method OTHER than emailing almost 8 thousand images? I posted a similar question re: iTunes purchases from iPhone to MacBook and the solution was simple. Will that be the case with the photos?
Many thanks, in advance.

How synchronise photos from iphone to macbook
I recently got a MacBook Pro.
How can I synchronise my photos from iPhone 4s to my MacBook, without deleting first on iPhone, as suggested by iTunes?
thanksYou can import photos from an iPhone to a MacBook using the following instructions (note that iTunes is not involved) and you can either leave the photos on the phone after the import or you can delete them from the phone. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
iTunes can be used to move photos the other direction -- from the computer to the phone. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236
Where in iTunes are you seeing a suggestion to delete photos? (Exact wording may help, if possible) -

Transfer photos from iPhone to Macbook - as files (not iPhoto)?
Hi -
I haven't backed up iPhone in awhile, and will be using a "new" Mac to sync.
Really do not wish to hose the photos (or contact info) by making a mistake.
Is there a way to xfer photos from iPhone to Mac hard drive without using iPhoto?
Also, any tips or links re avoiding any data loss when xfering from iphone to hd - welcome.
Thanks so much, in advance!I dont like iphoto so the easiest way to do it is using image capture, just plug in your iphone launch image capture from your applications folder and import all images or just selected images into any folder you want.
Moreover, you can follow this page about how to transfer photo/pictures from iPhone to Mac, which give an easy guide to figure out this problem.
Have a good luck! -
How to get Photos from iPhone to MacBook?
I've just upgrade my iPhoto library to the new Photos app and photos which used to automatically copy from my iPhone to all my devices, including MacBook are no longer copying. I can't use iCloud as I have too many photos to mirror the whole library and connecting my iPhone to MacBook by cable no longer syncs via iTunes either ... HELP please
and connecting my iPhone to MacBook by cable no longer syncs via iTunes either ... HELP please
After connecting to your Mac by USB download directly to Photos or to Image Capture.
If iTunes does not copy from your photo libraries to the iPhone, it looks like you enabled iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone. Then iTunes will no longer sync photos, and My Photo Stream will no longer stream from your Mac to your Phone.
Try to disable iCloud Photo Library in Settings > Photo&Camera. -

Importing Photos from iPhone to Macbook Pro
I was importing photos from my iPhone to my Macbook and I accidentally unplugged the USB while the photos were being imported. When I try to plug my phone back in and import the photos again, a message pops up saying that "photos are being imported", even though no photos are appearing. I have tried to shut down and restart my computer, but I am not allowed to do either because iPhoto won't let me ("photos are being imported"). Any suggestions on how to import photos?
Apple Menu -> Force Quit to force iPhoto to quit.

How do you send photos from iphone to macbook using blutooth
Hi,
I have an iphone (who doesn't??). The phone is the iphone3 16GB. I am wanting to send photos from the iphone to my macbook using blutooth. I used to do this easily with my old nokia. surely this new phone can do it too??
thanks in advance
nibbsUnfortunately the iPhone does not support Bluetooth File Transfer so it cannot be done.
The easiest way is to e-mail it to yourself. AT home on Wi-Fi this would be far faster than using Bluetooth that only has a 700Kbps speed -
Help transferring photos from iPhone to macbook
when i switched from the 4s to 5s i transferred all of the pictures from the 4s onto a windows laptop, then transferred the pictures from the laptop onto the 5s. now my 5s is almost out of storage, and i was wondering if it was possible to transfer the old pictures onto my macbook and then delete that album from the phone. also the album of pictures from the computer doesn't have the delete option when you go to edit albums.
If you still have the windows laptop your best option is to get the photos from there. If the only copies of the 4s photos that you have are now on the 5s (placed there by using iTunes to sync from the Windows computer) then you will either need to email them to yourself or use 3rd party software such as http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/index.php to salvage them from the 5s.
Once you have safely recovered the 4s photos that were transferred to the 5s via iTunes sync, you can remove them from the 5s by syncing with iTunes using the following instructions from iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support . Note that if the original computer isn't available you may first need to sync a few new photos from your current computer using iTunes and then sync again to delete them using the following instructions.
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
Click Apply. -
