    How do I use transparent=true in my Air app but still displaying swf's files ?
    The thing is that I created a customized chrome, and looks nice when it is transparent cause seems to be floating, it works as a browser, but the problem is that when I navigate with it into a page wich contains embedded youtube videos, as in example, or any other swf file... it just doesn't show...
    Any help ? thanks in advance,

  • How to display swf Files and have a datagrid with paging for javaFX

    is there any example of javaFX which can display swf files or have a datagrid with paging.
    sorry for my bad english and by the way i am new to javaFX
    any help wil be appreciate

    Please, refrain from posting identical messages in several forums. Thanks.
    And I doubt JavaFX can display SWF files (it is a concurrent technology, after all! :-)), unless using some JNI/JNA technology (via JDIC? a long way...).
    Datagrid: it is expected in next version (hopefully), there are some implementations around (look for CRUDfx, for example).

  • To Display SWF file or Flash file in Web Page Composer (WPC)

    Hi,
    I am goning to add & display 'swf file or flash file' in <b>Web Page Composer</b>.
    But it is not allowing me to do so.I tried by three ways
    1} to upload this file directly from local machine & to add in WPC
    2}By using linklist option
    3}By creating KM Document iview;which contain swf  file.& then adding that iview in wpc.
    but at last it is not displaying though allowing to add it in WPC.

    Vishal -
    First... we are all new to WPC!
    Second, no I don't think you need to create a new container.  I think that you just need to add the swf type as an allowed type for the container.
    So...
    Figure out which container you are trying to add the flash file to (as you mentioned, A1, A2, etc).
    Navigate to:
    Sys Admin --> Sys Config --> Knowledge Mgt --> Content Mgt --> WPC --> Containers.
    Edit the container you want to use.
    There will be a box named Allowed Mime Types.
    In here, select the "swf" mime type (make sure the check box is checked). Then Save.
    At my company, we had the WPC ramp up from SP12, and are now on SP13.
    I'm not sure what you get if the first time you had WPC is SP13, but for us I see two default A1 (and A2...B1..C4...etc) containers -- one that has "default" in the name and one that has "def" in the name.  From what I see, SP13 WPC uses the one with "def" in the name, not "default".  So, make sure you modify the one with "def" in the name.
    After you make this change, you should see "swf" in the list inside the container when you are editing a page.
    Is this clearer?  I wish I could attach a screenshot.

  • Firefox not displaying swfs with their proper dimensions

    Some instances of Firefox are not displaying swf files with their proper dimensions. When the same .html and .swf combo is loaded on another domain, different dimensions are displayed. I'm not using swfobject or any other DOM manipulator to get the swf on the page. I'm using the standard wrapper that Flex generates with object/embed tags.
    The dimensions are 950x700. I wonder if the large size is part of the problem. I'm not going for any full screen effect.
    I've tested with and without css declarations. I've tried using swfobject. I've created a brand new project empty project and when I publish that, the dimensions are still off.

    That image doesn't seem to be working in Firefox 3 and 8 (works in Firefox 9 and later).
    It works if I save it as 24 bit instead of 32 bit.

  • Displaying swf fonts, not working

    In Adobe Shockwave Flash player object, are there any known differences between version 12.0.0.77 and 12.0.0.44 with regards to displaying swf fonts, in Internet Explorer? We have seen a variety of issues with almost all versions. We had 12.0.0.77 installed and the fonts were displayed quite improperly - very Large - , and then we downgraded to 12.0.0.44 and it worked, displaying the fonts properly. Then it upgraded to 12.0.0.77 and it worked again.
    This happens in Internet Explorer, all versions. We have a heavy install on IE8 where we see if most.
    What changes between the two versions would cause this?
    What connections are required between the client and the server, if any?
    In the page source, these transformations are triggered in statements similar to this one:
    sIFR.replaceElement("h4", named({sFlashSrc: "/SiteCollectionImages/sIFR/neosans.swf", sColor: "#333", sCase: "upper", sWmode:"transparent"}));
    Any idea what may cause such odd, inconsistent behaviour?

    This is a flash or shockwave font, no real development involved I believe. The fact is it worked for years, then Adobe did an upgrade on the Object and it did not work. So just wondering what may have caused this in the release on the updated object.
    It also does not work in Firefox, Chrome etc, as these browsers act as if it's not enabled. So it seems like there is a handshake that is not being addressed, access to the server-side font for example.
    The font stopped working because of the change in the client side Object, not with anything on the server, development-wise.
    In several places, in some companies, IE accounts for 100% of the browsers. And in some of those places IE8 may account for close to 100% of those installs. To dismiss a query because it involves IE is not really helpful, or constructive.
    Are there any dependencies on the Object running and the server presenting the material, or could it be rights within the browser environment that may have changed (running javascript with prpoer permissions for example)?
    Thanks, in advance, Dave

  • Cross domain error while displaying .SWF files in  portal

    Hi Experts,
    i am working on EP ,
    i am trying to display a .swf file in a iview but that file is  giving an error as
    Add a cross domain policy file to the external data web server
    this swf file is retriving data from BI system.
    Please suggest !!
    i got a solution of putting a crossdoaim.xml file in root directory but thats not possible

    I think two urls will work for you:

  • How to display swf in full screen mode and how to redirect to a url

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions :
    Question 1 - I have a flash swf file and I want to display it in the browser in full mode meaning it should fit the browser, I have tried adding
    fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    in the first frame of a lyaer but it does not work.
    Question 2 - How to redirect to another page at the end of the swf movie, I have tried adding :
    stop();
    navigateToURL( new URLRequest("*www.microsoft.com*"), "_self");
    in the last frame but it does not work.
    Thank you very very much for your assitance !!
    Terry

    "fscommand("fullscreen", "true");" only works for self-running executables, not embedded SWFs in a web page.
    To get the swf to fill the browser page, the best thing to do would be to adjust the publish settings of the "HTML Wrapper" page and copy the necessary pieces from the resultant HTML file into the HTML file you are putting the swf into.
    I have had some successes dealing with similar navigation issues by breaking up the code into multiple tasks:
    var url:String = "http://www.microsoft.com";
    var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
    navigateToURL(urlReq);
    I can't guarantee that will help, but at least I tried.  :-)

  • Display Chinese in JEditorPane

    Hi,
    I've a problem in displaying Chinese characters in Applet using JEditorPane. The java codes like this:
    JEditorPane editorPane = new JEditorPane();
    editorPane.setEditable(false);
    editorPane.setContentType("text/html; charset=big5");
    try {
    URL fileURL = getURL("testfile.html"); // get URL from getCodeBase()
    displayURL(fileURL, editorPane);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    private void displayURL(URL url, JEditorPane editorPane) {
    try {
    editorPane.setPage(url);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    System.err.println("Attempted to read a bad URL: " + url);
    If I run these codes in JFrame, the Chinese characters can display correctly. But once I convert it to JApplet, all Chinese characters are changed to some squares or some special characters. Should I have something missing from my coding or I wrote something wrong in my code? Please help. Thanks.

  • Display HTML in JEditorPane

    Hi
    I am trying to display a String containing HTML text on a JEditorPane.
    I have downloaded the HTML from a webpage using sockets, and now I want to display the downloaded page. I have a project in school about sockets.
    This is why I can't use getPage(URL);
    The following is the code I am using:
    String temp = "String with HTML text"
    HTMLEditorKit htmlEdKit = new HTMLEditorKit();
    JEditorPane.setEditorKit(htmlEdKit);
    JEditorPane.setContentType("text/html");
    JEditorPane.setEditorKitForContentType("text/html", htmlEdKit);
    JEditorPane.setContentType("text");
    JEditorPane.setText(temp);
    When I run the code, all that is displaying is the raw HTML code, with all the tags. As I understand it, this is how it should be done.
    What is wrong, would appreciate some help.
    /David Mossberg

    it's not necessary to use socket but if use socket get the inputstream from it.
    in = socket.getinputstream(); //return inputstream from socket
    htmldoc = JEditorPane.getDocument(); //return the htmldoc in JEditorPane
    if(htmldoc.getlength()>0)
    htmldoc.remove(0,htmlDoc.getLength());//if the htmldoc has some content then remove it
    reader = new InputStreamReader(in);//construct a new reader from in
    JEditorPane.getEditorKit.read(reader,htmldoc,0); //read new content into the htmldoc from reader
    Hope the above code helps you.

  • Displaying XML in JEditorPane

    Hi!
    Can someone please please help me, I'm new to java and having problems. IT migh tbe simple for you guys out there but its troubling me, been tryign to sort it out but no luck yet.Hopefully someone can help me out :)
    I'm currently uing a JEditorPane to display a HTML page which works fine. But I wanted it to display a XML page. The XMLfile with its DTD and XSL file loads up correctly in IE so theres no problem with syntax of these files. All i wanted it to do is display it on a JEditorPane. Am i right in thinking that JEditorPane is the right component to use. And if not then how do i solve this problem???
    Ive used the following code to call the xml file, it compiles and displays the actual code of the XML file not the visuals. Can someone please have a look.

    Hey
    Thanks for the help. I did use the XSLT transformation to ocnvert the xml into html. I used the following code :
    import javax.xml.transform.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.stream.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class JavaTransform1
         public static void main(String args[])
         { try
                   TransformerFactory tf = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
                   Transformer transformer = tf.newTransformer(new StreamSource(new File(args[1])));
                   transformer.transform(new StreamSource(new File(args[0])),
                   new StreamResult(new File(args[2])));
              catch(Exception e) {}
    }Then using the command prompt i typed:
    java Transform1 directory.xml directory.xsl results.html
    This creates a HTML file but for some reason its blank :s
    I'm not sure why that is, when i call the html file in the JEditorPane it loads up a blank page which is what it looks like. for some reason even though it does create a HTML file its blank and not based on the XML file. What am I doing wrong here??
    Thanks alot.

  • HELP!!! character display problem in JEditorPane

    hi,
    I got a headache with my program which needs to display multiple language html page in a JEditorPane. For example, if user requests a Chinese page then page is read in from an inputstreamreader using Chinese charset encoding. But what JEditorPane displays is squares and this is a very common font problem. I did everything I can
    copy font.properties.zh to font.properties
    set JEditorPane font as Font("SIMSUN",Font.PLAIN,12)
    with the bug unsolved so far.
    I am using Windows 2000/ME in UK locale.
    Anybody could help please???

    yes, the input data, for example in the case of Chinese Simpilify Character, is read in using a decoder with charset GB2312. I think I can print them out on prompt console but in a unrecognizable format.
    Anyway, I would like to reconfirm the steps I took: (Presumably I know I am going to load a Chinese page)
    1. rename font.properties.zh to font.properties
    2. set the font of JEditorPane as ("SIMSUN",Font.PLAIN,12)
    3. when try to load a Chinese page, there should be a ChangedCharSetException. extract the charset from the exception and use it to construct a new InputStreamReader.
    4. I also set the content-type of JEditorPane as something like "text/html; charset=gb2312"
    5. read in the data and parse it into a HTMLDocument instance.
    6. finally use setDocument method to display the document on the JEditorPane.
    In this way, the page gets displayed in unknown characters.
    Anybody could show me something different but feasiable? Please!!!

  • Display SWFs instead of images?

    Hi all,
    I built some dynamic pages using ADDT, and on some of the pages, the customer wants .swf files to display instead of an image. I added a field in my mysql database that holds the path to the flash files (for example...."flash/file-1.swf"), and then I tried to put a "placeholder" and bind the field from the recordset I created. However, this didnt work.
    Is there a way to pull and place an swf onto a dynamic page like this? What am I doing wrong?
    Any help is appreciated
    John

    Hi Shane,
    I didnt think it would be hard to do either, and maybe its just because I am juggling 5 other projects that I dont have the focus right now and its making this more difficult.
    Ok, I can post code but Ill tell you what I did. I created several flash files for each page (i.e. 1.swf, 2.swf, 3.swf, etc) and then in my MySQL database, I added a field to hold the path to those files for each page.
    In my page I created a filtered recordset. I place in the swf file where i wanted it and then went to the file field (this is in Dreamweaver) then opened the dialog box. Then I hit "Data Sources" and selected the correct field from my recordset that holds the path in the db.
    When I got to test the page, nothing comes up where the swf should be. When I look at the code, it is correctly bringing up the source from the database, its just not showing the file.
    Any ideas?
