Displaying system time in the stage

I want to use the "put the time" function to display my
system time on the stage. Can someone help?

There are a few more formatting options using straight lingo.
Instead
of using "the time", you can use "the long time" which will
show the
hours, minutes, and seconds. Be careful though, since most of
Director's built in ways of getting the time/date can vary
depending on
the user's Operating System and preferences in the control
panel. For
instance, some may have 24 hour time and some may have AM/PM.
It is
dependent upon the user's OS.
BuddyAPI has a more configurable and controllable method, as
Applied CD
pointed out. That would be the best way probably.

  • Displaying system time (not timecode)

    For the life of me, I can't find any Expressions that deal with displaying the current system time using the source text property.
    What's a good way to get "04:53 PM"? (assuming the time is really 4:53PM)
    Alternatively, using Dan's universal counting clock, he uses a variable named "clockStart =". What would I use to return the current system time?

    I haven't tested this thoroughly, but it should get you close:
    D = new Date(Date(0));
    h = D.getHours();
    m = D.getMinutes();
    suffix = h >= 12 ? "PM" : "AM";
    if (h > 12) h -= 12;
    h = "" + h;
    if (h.length < 2) h = "0" + h;
    m = "" + m;
    if (m.length < 2) m = "0" + m;
    h + ":" + m +" " + suffix

  • Changing the System time in the JVM where Weblogic runs

    Hi,
    I am trying to change the System time where the Web-logic server (11g) runs using Mocking. I use "jmockit.jar" to mock the System.class. A Spring bean is created and through that I try to change the System time. I need to change the time for testing scenarios. For example, I need to backdate and do the testing for some scenarios. For the moment I do this manually and I want to automate this by changing only the time in the JVM where the application server runs. When I try to automate this using the Spring bean, I get an error as follows. Do anyone have any idea about this.

    Do anyone know any other way to overcome this issue using some other mocking jar.

    Hi,
    I could manage to change the time in JVM where the Weblogic server runs. I loaded an Spring bean from my Test class and from that bean I set an offset (to shift the time) in the Mock class (say, MockSystem class). In this case I used the jmockit implementation for instrumentation purposes. The MockSystem class should not be instantiated by us and jmockit takes care of that part. What I had to do was defining the javaagent and another parameter ("-Djmockit-mocks=com.abc.common.service.impl.MockSystem") in the Weblogic server build XML (mentioned in the following URL[1]). But to work this the MockSystem.class file should be wrapped in a JAR file and included in Weblogic server/lib directory and define it in the Weblogic build XML file as a classpath. For more explanations visit this URL [2].

    How do you return System Time of the local box in FTP command... since I want to output the system time of my local box copying to the FTP server...

    Its asking me to enter a new date... I actually want to return it into a log file since I am using ws_ftp.... but the log files dont have any date time being returned... i just want to be able to echo that date time into the log file... but it doesnt do that... I also tried

    I also tried in my ws_ftp script and it says:

    Sending command [!Date] with parameter []
    !Date
    500 '!DATE': command not understood

  • How to display system time

    in sql we use sysdate in dual to display the system date like wise how to display the system time since i am a beginner i need ur help please.

    In Oracle Date Data Type save time information, all you need to do is using to_char function or NLS_DATE_FORMAT to display it,
    SELECT TO_CHAR(sysdate, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') FROM DUAL;
    or
    alter session set NLS_DATE_FORMAT='DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS';

  • Display system time in text field

    hi all,
    I want to diplay the current system time (format: hh:mm) in a text field on screen
    ... and update the displayed time every minute.
    How would I implement it ?
    Thanks for your assistance.

    run the code above in a thread that is activated after every 1 min to update the timeYou should not create a thread to do this. Swing components should be updated in the event thread. It is better to use a Swing Timer. This thread deals with this issue. Replies 1 & 4 are the most relevant:

    Thats it..... Noe use this function as u like...

  • How to set the system time in the program

    AFAIK there is no easy (pure java) way: either you exec something (depending on your paltform) or use native code. Appropriate privileges will be necessary.

  • Get the target system time in the message mapping

    Hi there,
    I need to use the system time of target R/3 system in the message mapping. Any ideas how can I handle this?
    Thanks,
    Igor.

    Thanks for your quick replies.
    XI and R/3 system is in the same timezone but this is not relevant. I know it might sound strange but there is a reason I need to use time in the message mapping which is 2 minutes later than in the target system:
    e.g. target system time: 16:58:32 I need to use 16:56:32 value  in the mapping.
    I found RFC MSS_GET_SY_DATE_TIME which can proide me with the value, just wondering if there is no other way how to do that other than RFC lookup ...
    Thanks,
    Igor

  • Howto Current System Time in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS

    Hi, Is there a way to calculate current system time in java so the output will be in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS?

    Create a Date object from the system time:
    long now = System.currentTimeMillis();
    java.util.Date date = new java.util.Date(now);
    System.out.println(date);
    You can then use the SimpleDateFormat class to format the Date however you want.
