Displaying the Keypad Statically

Is there any way to display the keypad and have it always visible? I am trying to put together a number entry tool exactly like the Phone apps Keypad screen whereby there is just a static keypad on the screen with a label that updates as keys are pressed...

I found the solution/hack. Just make a view that has 12 buttons on it. Problem solved.

    Hello jayanand,
    You may need to force close all open apps, then restart the phone. If necessary, you may need to reset the phone after that.

  • Is it possible to display the static numerals as Hindi?

    Trying to generate a report using XML Publisher, the report composed of two columns.
    Need to display the numerals in English language coulmn in Arabic numerals and the numerals in Arabic language column in Hindi numerals. Currently they both appear as Arabic numerals in both columns
    Question:
    Is it possible to display the static numerals as Hindi as they had been
    entred in the template or not?
    I understood that on generation these should be variables not static.
    I would welcome any input on this issue.
    Many thanks

    Hmm,
    In templates i guess, you can use multiple font text ..
    same is the case here..
    Arabic and hindi, are you using different font for these ?
    if so, are these fonts available in server too ?
    The test displayed can be static or dynamic, but if the server doesn't know which font to be applied, then its going to apply default font for the text.
    At runtime, the server has to known, for this text which font has to be applied. if this has to happen, font has to be understood by server.

  • How to display the dispaly-value of a static LOV in a report?

    Hi,
    I want to display the Display-Value of a lov in a report
    How can i procede?
    thanks

    ok,
    My problem is the following:
    Say that I have created a static lov 'lov_colors' with the following values:
    display-value return value
    red 1
    blue 2
    green 3
    And i have a table 'object' wich has the following fields :
    object_name varchar2(100);
    object_color number;
    I want to make a report on the table object but in stead of displaying the number of the color,
    I want to display the name of the color that is in Lov_colors
    I hope that my question is clear.
    thank you

  • Displaying the contents of an array of objects

    Hello All,
    My Java teacher gave us a challenge and I'm stumped. The teacher wants us to display the contents of the array in the main menthod. The original code is as follows:
    public class TestObjects
         public static void main ( String args[] )
              Thing[] thingArray = { new Thing(4), new Thing(7) };
    }I understand that the elements of the array are objects, and each one has a value assigned to it. The following code was my first attempt at a solution:
    public class TestObjects
         public static void main ( String args[] )
              Thing[] thingArray = { new Thing(4), new Thing(7) };
                                    for ( int i = 0; i < thingArray.length; i++)
                                       System.out.println( thingArray );
    }To which I'm given what amounts to garbage output. I learned from reading about that output that its basically displaying the memory location of the array, and the the contents of the array. There was mention of overriding or bypassing a method in System.out.println, but I don't believe that we're that far advanced yet. Any thoughts? I know I have to get at the data fields in the objects of the array, but i'm not having an easy time figuring it out. Thanks very much in advance!

    System.out.println( thingArray );
    Note that you're trying to print the entire array at every loop iteration. That's probably not what you meant to do.
    You probably meant to do something more like
                                 System.out.println( thingArray[i] );Also, note that the java.util.Arrays class has a toString method that might be useful.
    To which I'm given what amounts to garbage output. It's not garbage. It's the default output to toString() for arrays, which is in fact the toString() defined for java.lang.Object (and inherited by arrays).
    I learned from reading about that output that its basically displaying the memory location of the array, and the the contents of the array.It displays a default result that is vaguely related to the memory, but probably shouldn't be thought of us such. Think of it as identifying the type of object, and a value that differentiates it from other objects of the same type.
    By the way I assume you mean "+not+ the contents of the array" above. If so, that is correct.
    There was mention of overriding or bypassing a method in System.out.println, but I don't believe that we're that far advanced yet. Any thoughts? No, you don't override a method in println; actually methods don't contain other methods directly. You probably do need to override toString in Thing.
    I know I have to get at the data fields in the objects of the array, but i'm not having an easy time figuring it out. You can get to the individual objects in the array just by dereferencing it, as I showed you above.
    But I suspect that won't be sufficient. Most likely, Thing doesn't have a toString method defined. This means that you'll end up with very similar output, but it will say "Thing" instead of "[Thing" and the numbers to the right of the "@" will be different.
    You'll need to override the toString() method in Thing to get the output you want.

  • Displaying the value of an array in swing? Almost like a chess baord

    Hi all.
    After a long time from coding I thought I'd have a bash.
    Here's a short outline of what I'm trying code.
    I have a robot, a simple robot, does nothing but move around, pick up objects and drop them.
    This robot lives in a world that is a square 1000x1000 for example.
    The world is populated with objects, the robot goes around, if the robot is not holding an object and comes across one it will pick it up.
    Then the robot moves around and if it comes across another object of the same type it will then drop the object.
    These are the class names that I've created, the names give it away what they are for:
    RobotProject (main class, not much in here apart from the starting parameters, such as starting position, how big the world is, number of objects in the world etc)
    SandBox (is the class that the world object will be created from)
    Robot (is the class the robot will be created from, I did it this way just in case I wanted more then one robot in the world)
    GridCheck (this is a static class as it's only a set of instructions to carry out depending where in the world it the robot is and what is around it)
    Movement (this class is not built yet, but all it does is check the current location of the robot, give options of where to move, then randomly picks a move)
    Gui (this is going to be used to display the world, not built yet)
    The object I create of SandBox is called world1, the only thing need to be known about this world is that it has an array, this array is what keeps track of each of the grid in the world and there state.
    So let?s imagine a chess board, top left grid is 0 going from left to right/ top to bottom we end up with 63 (or 64 arrays).
    What would be the best way to display this "chess board"?
    At the moment I have a method in the SandBox class that will return all the grids states and a string.
    This was put in there "just in case" but I think this is the wrong way to go.
    Really what I'm after is a few pointers to make this work, maybe my way of doing this is incorrect?
    I know I've been thinking that maybe I should have created an array of objects (SandBox, but with only an int rather than the array) rather than an object with an array var.
    Anyways, I hope that makes sense, if not feel free to "bust my chops"
    If you would like to see some of the mode feel free to ask, I'm not a student or anything, to be frank the last time I coded anything was over 4 years ago, so as you can guess the code is simply.
    Jon.
    Thanks in advance.

    I agree with BDLH that Swing would work well here. There are a million and one way to create your "grid" one option include using a 2D grid of JLabels, another being a single JPanel with a grid BufferedImage as its background image (which is probably how I'd do it), etc... which one to choose will depend on the rest of the program, so it may be very early to say. Perhaps at this point you just want to create an interface of invariant behaviors to represent the Grid and thus allowing you flexibility with its implementation.

  • How can I display the elapsed time of the course using Advanced Actions in Captivate?

    I have a Captivate course which is approximately 35 minutes in length. On each slide I would like to display to the user, the current elapsed time.
    EXAMPLE:
    25/35 minutes complete
    The 35 would remain static, so I have been working with the elapsed time system variable in CP: elapsed:$$cpInfoElapsedTimeMS$$
    I can't seem to get the variable to properly display the elapsed time in minutes, rather than miliseconds. Attached is a screen shot of my advanced action.
    Can anyone provide guidence regarding how I should structure this differntly?

    I talked about that Timer widget in that blog post and pointed to another one:
    http://blog.lilybiri.com/timer-widget-to-stress-your-learners
    If you are on CP7, you'll have this widget also as an interaction, which means it is compatible with HTML5 output. Amd there is also an hourglass interaction, with similar functionality but... did not blog about that one
    PS: Check Gallery\Widgets to find all widgets. Default path is set to Interactions

  • How can I display the tooltip in a tree node?

    I implement a TreeCellRenderer and has already set the tooltiptext through the following code:

    Thank you!

    A properly formed question, with some idea of what you're trying to accomplish would be a huuuuge help.

  • How to call a report  thru an RFC w/o displaying the Report UI

    Hi ,
    I have to pass the parameter to a report thru an RFC.
    I am using submit command , but I do not want SAP gui to appear..
    This is the report UI code .
    PARAMETERS     : werks LIKE mseg-werks OBLIGATORY.
    SELECT-OPTIONS : budat FOR mkpf-budat OBLIGATORY,
                     material FOR mseg-matnr.
    I have to pass the value to the report from my RFC by assiging values to these control in my RFC . and also I do not want display the SAP GUI for the Screen.
    I have used this code to achive this.
    SUBMIT ZRPT_MM_045 EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN
                   USING SELECTION-SET 'ZZZ'.
    where 'ZZZ' is my variant .
    the problem here is I can not change the values dynamically in my RFC. All the values in 'zzz' variant are predefined.
    HOw to achive this ...
    A sample piece of code  greatly appreciated
    thanks
    pkiran

    If you want to pass parameters dynamically without using a static variant, you can do the following.
    In this example,  P_1, P_2, P_3, S_1, S_2, S_3 are the names of the parameters/select-options in the submitted program.   PA_1, PA_2, PA_3, SO_1, SO_2, SO_3  are fields in your RFC that can be built dynamically.
    * Lets say that S_1 in the submitted program is a date
    * range.  We want to pass a seven day range starting
    * today.
    <b>ranges: SO_1 for sy-datum.
    SO_1-sign = 'I'.
    sO_1-option = 'BT'.
    SO_1-low   = sy-datum.
    SO_1-high  = sy-datum + 7.
    append SO_1.</b>
    SUBMIT ZRPT_MM_045 EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
         WITH P_1 = PA_1
         with p_2 = PA_2
         with p_3 = pa_3
    <b>     with s_1 in so_1</b>
         with s_2 in so_2
         with s_3 in so_3
         AND RETURN.

    Can someone please provide me the logic for the code please..........The logic is pretty well spelled out for you in the description of the assignment and the outline for the code you provided. If you mean
    Can someone please do my homework for me....The answer to that is usually yes, someone can do your homework for you, but no, they usually won't actually do it for you.
    However, if you are really stuck on what to do, you should consider:
            if ( start of a tag ) {How would you know that you are at the start of a tag? Once you can answer that, the rest sort of works itself out as long as
                // scarf until end of tagyou realize what it means to 'scarf' and how to determine when an end-of-tag is reached (hint, very similar as to how to determine if you are at the start-of-tag).

  • How to display the color of time period and the legend in Calendar view?

    Hi,
    Sorry to disturb you guys with a quite simple question.
    I want to do a calendar view to display the period of absence for the portal user. I've setup the iView but it displays neither the color of time period nor the legend.
    The problem is:
    1) If I test with <i>static legend</i> (that is, I input the time period directly in the form instead of using data service),
       a) I could only define <b>one</b> time period, because it's impossible to map the <i>out</i> port of calendar to <i>in</i> port of form on defining the event as 'goto'.
       b) I can't see the color displayd while deploying although there is just one time period! Neither the legend. I' ve given the label and color of the legend and assigned the action as default in design board. Why it doesn't work?
    2) If I test with <i>dynamic legend</i> following the chapter "<i>Display Date on a Calendar</i>" in the <i>Modeler's Guide</i> of VC;
        I assigned @RECORDNR to 'ID legend field', and used BAPI_ABSENCE_GETLIST as dynamic legend data service to edit the legend, and assigned the color for every ID. But neither color nor legend could kindly appear. What's the problem? Is there any error in the edit of entry list of the legend?
    Please help me! Thanks!!!

    Is there any advice?
    I'll greatly appreciate your help!

  • How to display the steps of a sort algorithm??

    I'm having a lot of trouble trying to display the results of applying a merge sort to a set of 10 integers. The problem is not that I can't see anything on the text area within the applet, the problem is that I am getting a lot of repetitions and duplicates occuring. I have tried inserting the Display() method in various positions in the sort, I have set up a temporary array to compare the elements of the array before and after the particular step of the sort is applied and an if statement to display only if there are changes have happened to the array. Can anyone advise?? Here's the code for the sort, including my current attempt to get the sort diplayed in steps:
    public class MSort extends JFrame
    public MSort(int[] anArray, JApplet anApplet)
    a = anArray;
    applet = anApplet;

    Sorts the array managed by this merge sorter
    public void sort()
    throws InterruptedException
    mergeSort(0, a.length - 1);
    textArea.append("End of Merge Sort");
    Sorts a range of the array, using the merge sort

    JLundan,
    I want to thank you for responding to the thread I started on the forum at java.sun.com. Your solution to my problem of needing to print the code of the html pages that the file I included generates was just what I was looking for. However, I have some further questions to ask, if you don't mind. To clarify my task I should say that your rephrasing of the problem is accurate: "You wan't to display the contents of the HTML file that the web server produces in response of client's request?"
    Yes, this is what I need to do, but also it needs to display the source code of that html file that the server produces in response to the client's request. Also, in this case, I am the client requesting that the server return some html file, and I'm not sure where the server is. But the webserver.java file that I shared on the forum is on my local machine. I was wondering if I could modify this webserver.java file at my home so that any html file the server returns to me would automatically display the source code. This is a school project of mine and I am stuck on this one thing here.
    Further, where would I put the "foo.html" file so it can be written to?
    FileOuputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("foo.html");
    fos.write(bytes);
    fos.close();
    Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to your response, at your convenience.
    Regards
