Displaying the Popup Help

It was my assumption that whatever text we attach to the comments of the database columns get associated with the help text in the popup help for all the items created when a region is based on that table.
I surely remember I saw that initially. But now its not happening. Any clue?

You can change your layout using alv layout display. Use BCALV* for demo programs on alv oops.Use following link for oops alv material.

How to put an image in the popup help of a page item?

I am using APEX 2.2. I want to put an image in the help text of a page input item.
This is the help text:
Some help text....
<img src="&APP_IMAGES.auto_lov.jpg" />This is rendered as:

If I put exactly the same text in a html region, the image is correctly displayed:

I solved it by putting the jpg file in an images directory on the web server instead of in the database. Not really what I want, but it works.

How to report print to the printer immediately and display the popup?

Dear friends,
I am running my report in background and displaying the confirm results on popup window and sending the results to printer,
but now i want to send the results page to printer then want to display the popup.
i have writen my popup perform after printer perform only but its not working...when i am clossing the popup or came back from that popup then only the results sending to printer...
How to report print to the printer immediately and display the popup?

Then also its not printing immediatly.
here one thing for displaying the popup i am using submit report(calling another report for popup purpose)
before trigering the submit programe i need to print this.

Robo 5 generated Help File (CHM) is not displaying the target Help page

Hi,
I am using Robo 5. AFter generating the CHM file and linked to the target application, the CHM file is not displaying content for a specific page.
The concerned topic, for which the CHM is not displaying content, is included in TOC also.
When the target topic in the TOC is clicked, the CHM file is displaying the following message: Navigation to the webpage was canceled.
Can anybody tell me why it is happening like that?

Does it display OK if you open the help independently of the application?
If it does, then the problem has to be in the call.

Data not displaying the report (Help me out Urgent)

Hi Folks,
When i am executing the query and web reports for the date 27/11/2007 & 28/11/2007 am not getting the data its saying "No applicable data found"
But i can see the data in the ODS for those dates.
Report is working fine till 26/11/2007.
But when the user is trying to check the reports for the above mentioned dates its not displaying.
Even in checked it the RSRT as well but the same case over there the data is not displaying.
Its bit urgent as its month end user wants to see the reports.
Any help or any clue will be great helpfull and appreciated.

There are totally 750 & 427 records on 27th and 28th.
At the time of executing the query,are using giving any variable entries?
Yes we are using variables entires like PO Date & PO number we usually check the reports giving the date in PO Date variable,
Any other clue please?

The ToC node is not getting selected although the help result pane displays the correct help page

I have followed steps given below for a merged project system:-
1. I created 3 projects Module_1 and Module_2.
2. Created the CHM output for the above 2 projects.
3. Created a Main project.
4. Merged the above 2 CHM in the project.
5. Created a new window and added Main.hhc in the TOC option under advance properties.
6. Generated html output for entire project Main.chm.
7. Decompile the ‘Main.chm’ and extracted the ToC file ‘Main.hhc’.
8. For each module project, imported ‘Main.hhc’ as a Baggage File, created window definitions same as Main project and with reference to ‘Main.hhc’.
9. Again generated html output for all the modules and copied both the CHM at the same place.
10. Now regardless of my entry point I am able to see entire ToC.
Issue: When I open Module_1.chm, the chm is displayed as follows, but Main book is highlighted instead of module 2 Book. As I have selected both the options, i.e. Auto-synchronize ToC and Always Show Selection option (when generating chm), Module 1 book should get selected.
Is there a way to control the selection in the LHS pane? I am working on a project which has 15 module chms and the chms are integrated with the application. When I press F1 on a module, the default topic is getting displayed and the respective module is not selected in the LHS pane.

Error Message Displaying the status Bar not like popup message

My Requirement is while creating invoice if pricing conditons is repeted , system should thorough the error message like (uplicate Condition Types Are Not Possible in the status Bar but Im getting poup Error message So I want to display the same message in the status Bar.
Please Help me any one.

If I put message type 'E' its Displaying popup message , MESSAGE ' Duplicate Condition Types Are Not Possible.' TYPE 'E'.
If I Put messge type 'I' its Displaying in Status Bar .

Java displays only one time the popup of certificates

Hello all,
I work with an applet and without PKCS#11. The workflow is :
1 - establish a SSL connection without certificate
2 - import a certificate into the smartcard (in C)
3 - establish a SSL connection with the previously imported certificate
All steps do not require to remove the card. The certificate are got from the browser.
In a first step, I establish a SSL connection without certificate to access to some cgi files. I insert a certificate into the smartcard and close the current SSL connection to establish a SSL connection using this certificate.
In the first step, Java displays the popup which shows the certificate (from browser). But, for the second step, when I want to make a SSL connection, Java doesn't display me the popup and I can't make the connection with the certificate.
Well, I tried the following things without success :
- to use the keystore of Windows to access to the certificate but the list of the certificates is not updated.
- to manage the SSL connections with JavaScript (Dojo toolkit...) but the applet loses his interest (ActiveX).
- to pass the SSL handshake to the C using the private key... (beurk)
Do you have any ideas of how can I realize the last step of my workflow in java ? How to refresh the popup? How to display again the popup?

There is no exception thrown.
The popup is this one [Screenshot of the certificates|http://yfrog.com/elselectcertificatej] and is only displayed at the first SSL connection. When you accept (Ok or Cancel) the certificates, subsequent hits to this site doesn't display the certificates. After importing the certificates into the smartcard, I want to use the imported authentication certificate to access to a restricted cgi.

Problem while displaying the data when double clicked on JTable element

Hi All,
i have one List box( JList ) and one table (JTable). Both JTable and JList are positioned on the same Frame. I am able to drag the elements from JList to JTable and also i have added the mouse click action on both List box and JTable.
if i double click on JList element, that will popup one dialog box.
if i double click on JTable cell element that was dragged from JList, that will popup same dialog box which was opened earlier for JList action.
But my problem here is:
Suppose if i drag the four elements one by one from JList to JTable and (after four elements dragged) double clicked the first element which was dragged first that displayed the popup dialog box structure correctly but the data displayed in that was not correct. It is showing the data of recent dragged element( i.e, fourth element).
But if i double click on JList element that is showing the correct data according to the double clicked element.
What might be the problem here, why it was not displaying the correct data when double clicked on JTable element.
Please help me here.

I doubt it is related to your problem but:
int row=table.rowAtPoint(new Point(evt.getX(), evt.getY()));Why are you creating a new Point? Just use evt.getPoint().
Object obj=table.getModel().getValueAt(row, col);Don't get the data through the model method, get the data through the table method:
Object obj = table.getValueAt(...)
This way it will work even if the table happens to be sorted.
Instead of creating a AssigningResourcesUI object, just disply the value retrieved from the model. That way you know whether the problem is with the mouse event code or your UI class. Like Walter suggested above I"m guess the problem is with your UI class.

Voucher Number to be displayed as popup

Hello,
Once AP invoice header details are entered and then distribution button is pressed, the following message is dispalyed as a popup:
The sequence 80_AP_INV_10 was used to assing a value of 1004521.
1004521 refers to voucher number. This popup is not displayed when an invoice is created from BNL - AP Manager User. I have verified the custom pll and forms personalization to know if any modifications are done to display the message, I did not observe any thing.
Can any one let me know how can I display the popup message from BNL - AP Manager User responsibility.

I Presume the Pop-up which you are getting is based on the configuration of Document Sequencing for AP module.
This set up is performed in System Administrator module.
The steps of setup are as mentioned below:
1) Define Document Sequences
2) Deifne Document Categories
3) Assign the Document Sequence
Once the sequence is assigned to a Set of Books, which in turn is set to a responsibility via Profile Options i.e. Gl Set of Books Name.
Secondly there is another profile option named Document Sequencing for which the values are set as Never Used, Partially or Always Used.
Based on the above setup whenever an invioce is created a voucher number will be automatically generated and you will see the popup.

All information about the classes and objects in a universe are stored in the repository database (universe domain). To get that information in your report you need to create a query on the repository database.
For an overview of all objectnames and descriptions that would be:
SELECT WA_UNV_OBJECT.OBJ_NAME, WA_OBJECT_HELP.OBJ_DATAVALUEFROM (WA_UNV_OBJECT RIGHT OUTER JOIN WA_OBJECT_HELP ON (WA_OBJECT_HELP.OBJECT_ID=WA_UNV_OBJECT.OBJECT_ID AND WA_OBJECT_HELP.UNIVERSE_ID=WA_UNV_OBJECT.UNIVERSE_ID) )

Modifying result of the output of the search help

Hello Experts,
I am creating search help on field FUNCID in table EQUZ. Thing is I need to only display those values of FUNCID which has some values.. i.e if there is blank entry FUNCID in table EQUZ it should not be gettin displayed.

If u want to hide some values or blank values in search help then try this one.
create the search help and in the Dialpg type choose "dialog with value restriction". then use this in your program. when u execute it, it will ask u to give the condition based on which it will display the search help values.

Size of the PopUp

Hi,
I am displaying the POPUP using Pop up to Confirm. I want to Set the size of the POPUP.
I have passed the Parameters : WIDTH and HEIGHT. But, still it is not working.
Please let me know how can I set the Size of the POPUP.

Hi Sandeep,
You can not directly set the size of your dialog. I know that there are attributes and methods for this; but they are ignored in the HTML rendering. They are for future usage/smart client rendering. For now in the HTML rendering you can set the size by specifying the corresponding attributes for the ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER. The popup would then automatically resize itself.

Why the validator can't display the error message on the popup dialog?

I have input text with a validator and a custom ok button and a cancel button on the popup dialog.When I click the ok button,the validator will validator the input value on the input text,but it just close the popup dialog without display the message firstly.The point is it does validate the value but doesn't display the message.Can anybody help?

It seems if I use the button which is associated with the dialog the validator works well,but if I use the custom button the error message doesn't display. the environment is 11g.
