Displaying Two groups of data side by side

We are using XML Publisher 5.6.2. We have a requirement where we need to display two independent groups side by side.
What we tried was, we had a single table, on which on the same row, we defined the first group ( for-each:group1)<?Col1?><end-each>, in a single cell as part of three different form fields and then in the second column, we started the next group.
But when we ran the report, the second group does not get dsiplayed. The workaround we have to use is that define the second group in a seperate row than the first group. This displayed the data for both the groups.
The issue is that, if Group1 has 10 rows, then my second group will be pushed down.
Has anybody had this issue and if there is a resolution, please let us know.

I would Like to display the data in single table. i have 10 groups when i m trying the columns becoming null. when i m taking it in diff tables its working fine but my client is not satisfied with that is there any solution for this making it in one table.

Displaying a group of data in different colums

I have a problem with displaying a group of data in different colums. I want to display a group of data like this:
Column 1 --- Column2 ----- Column3
data1 data6 data11
data2 data7 data12
data3 data8 data13
data4 data9 data14
data5 data10 data15
That is, the coulm headers must be at the same height of the page and data must be in paralell columns.
My number of data is variable depending on a query result, and I want to start displaying my group on the first column and when it is full (the number of records per column is fixed), is must switch into the next one.
In case there were more than 15 records, the 16th and the followings, must be displayed on the next page, with the same format as i have explained before.

Displaying a group of data or info for the given key in a property file

I have a property file suppose queries.properties.
it contains the propertys and values as
profile_1=abc
profile_2=dfg
profile_3=ser
name_1=qwe
name_2=dfg
name_3=cbvb
my requirement is when i pass the key profile then it has to give
profile_1=abc
profile_2=dfg like all profile related properties and its values.

it should display all the profile related keys and its corresponding values.
the reason behind this requiremnt is to improve the performance .
if we pass key then at a time we will get the value of that key.
but if ihave set all the profile related properties and its values then i need to get all at once .

How to display two item groups Side by Side (Horizontal)

I'm using Designer 9.04 and Hradstart 6.5 updated for designer 9.0.4.
I have two item groups defined in one of the forms module. I wand to display them side-by-side but the generated form shows the item groups one below the other.
Any idea how to solve this?

Is your window wide enough?
If nothing else helps, you can use the Relative tab stop editor to force generator to place the item groups horizontally. Set the tab stop scope of the item groups to parent and place them on two different tab stops.

Any calendar app that can display two calendars per day side by side?

Is there any app that can display two calendars (data sync with iCloud Calendars) side by side? e.g. one calendar for planning and the other for actual / diary.

Calendar can have two or more calendars calendars listed at the same time.
Each can be a different color for identifidation.
The first screenshot shows that the Medical and Joint calendars are shared calendars.

You can increase the font size and automatically page view changes. Go to menubar; Reading -> PDF View or Epub Text Size (depending upon the ebook) and increase the size.

Display data and iframe side by side

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement like to display the header and item details on left side of the page and another webpage using iframe tag on right side. How is it possible? I should not use the tabstrips.
Can anybody please help me out how can I display the data and iframe side by side?

Hi Ranganadh,
First you need to create a BSP page that holds the header and Item details(Let's say this as custom.htm).
Secondly create a new page with frame set tag and call the custom.htm page and other webpage with URL.
Sample coding will be like

In the above code replace "http://www.google.com" with your custom.htm page
Remove spaces between http and noresize will not allow user to resize the frame.

Error in displaying two pivot tables side by side

I am creating two pivot tables. They work fine when one after the other. BI Publisher gives an error if I place them side by side.
One more issue. If i use this "for-eachCOLUMN0end" I get the following:
Balances with Central Bank
Cash and Cash-equivalent Securities
Inter-bank Deposits
Cash
Asset-backed Securities Assets
I want to just display any one of these, say Cash. How do I achieve that?

The method has to diplay two boxes side-by side, as if they were sitting on the ground next to each other. The first box's character is the number 1. It has a height of 3, a length of 8 and has to sit six spaces from the left side of the page and be completely filled in. The second box sits six paces from the first, it has a height of 8, a length of 5 and the character has to be the number 2. This is filled in as well.
I understand I would have to build on the method. How would I go about formulating a plan to do this. The program is a textmode device, like a printer prints from left to right.

How to display two regions side-by-side without wrapping?

Application Express 3.2.1.00.10
On my page I have two regions: (1) report region, and (2) PL/SQL Region
The report region is based on a query that returns a single column containing the following HTML.
example:

The second region is based on PL/SQL code that based on certain conditions, returns a workspace image using htp.img.
Both regions are using defined with:
Template: No Template
Display Point: Page Template Body (1, items below region content)
Column: 1 (for 1st region), 2 (for 2nd region)
The issue is that both the HTML table and image appear on the page, but the contents within the table are wrapping.
I have tried changing the CSS Style attribute for the report column attribute, but I can't get it to stop wrapping the contents. In searching the forum, I haven't found any solution to this, or maybe I am not searching for the right keywords.
Any ideas?

You can do this in form painter position your secondary windows side by side. then in the page start creating tables.
so now your each table in each window will appear side by side because your both windows u positioned it side by side.

Creating table, two cells side by side but alignment in one cell throws off the other!

I have a website that I am trying to display a table with two columns side by side and one column at the bottom.
so I use the following:

My problem is that I can't get the alignment to work right wit the first two <td> columsn that are side by side. i put text in both and an image but it doens't align properly even without the image. Every time press <return> it adjust the alignment in the other column. as you can see below, it doesn't align correctly. I can't get it to work right. images don't align, button doens't align, and the text on top doesn't align either.
If I press <return> in the right column at the bottom, then it moves the left column down and still doesn't align (auugh!)

Tables work that way, that's why CSS styling is preferred for layouts.

If you must use tables, try nesting tables inside cells of an outer table .

How can I display the bookmark list on the right side, not the left, of the monitor screen?

The display bookmark icon is on the far side of the navigation bar. When activated the list of bookmarks come up on the far left which is not convenient since I am right handed and would like to move the cursor straight down not across the screen.

There are two bookmarks icons. One displays a drop-down menu and the other opens the browser sidebar. Which one are you using?
For the drop-down menu, it should open on the side where you have the icon. (Note: this icon generally appears at the right end of the Bookmarks toolbar and in past threads some people have had difficulty moving it to other toolbars.)
For the sidebar, there might be a trick to switch it from left to right, but this also will affect others sidebars that share the same box, such as history.

IS there a way to fix the issue with text list boxes where they shift (empty space is smaller than the text size) when two text lsit boxes are side by side?

Currently I have a webpage I designed for a company where I have multiple text list boxes side by side for the purpose of displaying data in each one based on a category in the database. So a text list box for the primary key, name, serial number, etc. I have to use Firefox as it typically works best for printing and functionality for the page. The single issue we are having is that in Firefox if the field is null as far as text the text are shrinks meaning all the data in that list box shifts up and is no longer in line with its congruent data in the other text list boxes. In other browsers that's not a problem and everything stays lined up regardless of whether there's text in the box or not.
Unfortunately I cannot provide a link but if contacted I will provide screen shots.

How can I view two pages side by side in the new Pages?

I can not find the feature to allow me to do this (which was available in the old version). This is really causing problems with some of my documents that have been created to be viewed this way. Any help would be great!

I am a loyal Apple user because Apple form always follows function. Deleting this feature from Pages was a stupid decision. Amateurish, really. Makes me question the new design team's competence.
One of the key principals in good user experience design is providing value - simple, clean functionality that users find useful. Side-by-side edititng is a great example. Yes, the document is stored internally as a linear stream, but from the user's point of view the presentation should be as a reader sees it. I don't know why it was removed, but I suspect it was either to conform with the internal form of the data, or to the least-common-denominator presentation device, or both.
I bought a Thunderbolt display so that I could edit documents 2 pages at a time. My intended audience sees the document this way, and so I would like to write it this way. But I can't with the new Pages.
Apple, please restore the side-by-side view in Pages. I have work to do. (And while you are at it, fix the EndNote plug-in.)
