TFT-Display connect with eMac

I want to connect my Apple-Display with my eMac. I've got a software, that both monitors will make working as one monitor. Now I want to know, wether this connecting is running without problems. I have a friend, who says it will running. But the Mac shop says, there could be a problem with the graphic-card.

I hope they do come up with something... I have 0 need for a television, and after upgrading my life to all Apple products (iPhone 4 with 4s on the way, iPad2 & 17" MacBook Pro)... I today picked up a Thunderbolt Display and am in LOVE with my dual-purpose laptop turned desktop when I get home... but now my Xbox 360 is going to collect dust or be abandoned entirely, as I just don't feel the want for a TV just to play it and this screen would be perfection for playing it.
I don't watch TV, only Netflix, and this display is my hopefully endall to needing a television entirely.

Does my MacBook passes audio through Mini Display Port or not?

I recently bought a Mini DisplayPort > HDMI adapter in order to display my MacBook on my TV. Other users of the same adapter publicly stated that they got video AND audio out, but I got only video.
I've been searching this online for two days now and I still don't know why (I even searched this support forum, but I must admit that I got a little lost and decided to write my own topic). All I discovered was that some MacBooks have this capacity (to port audio along with video through Mini DisplayPort) and others don't.
I'm using a white MacBook unibody bought new and latest on late 2009. It's the first model with multitouch trackpad and without FireWire port. Its model name is "MacBook 6,1", I guess.
Does anybody know for sure if It CAN, in fact deliver audio+video through the Mini DisplayPort if I'm using a compatible HDMI adapter?

These models pass audio through the display port:
iMac (Late 2009), MacBook Pro (Mid 2010), MacBook (Mid 2010), and Mac mini (Mid 2010) supply multichannel audio (up to 8 channels) and video signals over Mini DisplayPort. To connect your television or other HDMI devices to your Mac, use select third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters that conform to the VESA v1.1a DisplayPort Interoperability Guidelines. The following adapters adhere to these standards:

- Griffin Video Display Converter (Mini DisplayPort to HDMI and DVI)

Negative eMac Display

Our school has four eMacs. One of them, a 1GHz, 10.3.9 Panther, 256 MB RAM, and out of warranty, has started to have a display problem. The display is showing negative colours, like white shows as black, blue shows as orange etc. This only affects our Student account, the Teacher account and Administrator accounts are just fine. Can anyone help me? I would hate to have to tell someone to take the entire machine to the Yorkdale Store to get it fixed, as it is a long drive away. Thank you for responding to this issue.

I just had this exact thing happen to my eMac last night. Im at work, so I'll post a follow up later when I get home. This started right after I started remotely controlling the Mac via Chicken-of-the-VNC in full screen mode from my powerbook (the eMac is in the basement). I bet anything that the key combo to toggle in/out of VNC fullscreen also sets some of the options mentioned to change the display.

How to display smartform through transaction code on action of button

Hi All,
Please let me know how can i display smartform through tcode on button action.
For e.g. I have a F.62 tcode where the smartform is attached. Now i want a button in BSP which when clicked should call tcode F.62 and display that smartform.
Also if i cannot use "CALL TRANSACTION" can i use "SUBMIT" and call that transaction.
If not how will i able to acheive that?
Please help as it is very urgent.

Use ITS to display the F.62 transaction is worth a try. But I am not sure whether the ITS will be able to display Smartforms...
Another option is trying to launch the Smartforms (I dont know the F.62 transaction enough to tell if it is time-consuming or not) and convert it to PDF (there is plenty of threads about this in SDN) and then, display it through BSP (either inline or for the user to download).

How to change font while displaying data through an ALV table in WDA?

I believe as you have found 'LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE' would only work with the classic dynpro (SAPGUI based) version of the ALV.
You won't be able to control the font the same way in the WDA version of the ALV. You will need to create a custom cell editor for the column(s) in question. You can then bind context attributes to the properties of the cell editor. You will need extra attributes in your bound context to control these settings on the row level. Also you will be restricted by the changing the DESIGN property. This means only the values allowed for the DESIGN of the particluar UI element. For a TextView that wouldn't be the font directly (the font of course comes from the Theme).

Invoicing party display made through OMRMB not working

Dear Experts,
We have made the field RBKP-LIFNR invoicing party display only through OMRMB, but it is not working when you running MIRO.
The field is still input only and the invoicing party can be changed at MIRO, what could be reason of not working.
Client wants that field to be display only in MIRO.

X220: Coloured pixels starting to shine through IPS display

Hello,
I have and actively use my X220 for roughly two and a half years now and am so far happy with it.
However, lately I noticed coloured pixels, or rather what looks like sub-pixels shining through the "display" when I set e.g. a black background or at boot time.
It goes from the left to the right but only at the top of the screen. I have the x220 with the IPS display.
I attached two pictures of the most intense spot, roughly a tad to the right from the top-center of the display). Unfortunately, my camera does not quiet focus that close, I#ll try to get a better shot of it soon.
As you can see, those aren't dead pixels per-se, as their size waries. Looks like the screen is "used" and the "paint" starts to come of. Not sure how I could describe that, really.

During my time of ownership I have always been careful of my machine, so there was no rough handling. I use it everyday as my primary machine though, but most of the time with 1 or 2 external monitors.
Does anyboy else have this problem? Is it solvable? Could I stop the process somehow?

It seems as you have the first revision of the IPS panel that is known to have issues, especially the excessive image retention (persistence) issue. Assuming you have 3 years warranty I would ask for replacement.
On the other hand I have one of last X220 (having the second revision of the display) boxes and noticed the issue as well. Fortunately it is one red subpixel only yet.
Is there any improvement when you keep the display turned off for at least 48 hours ?

Slow Wi-Fi on Macbook Pro running through Thunderbolt display

Hi there,
Im having issues with a new thunderbolt display. When my macbook is connected to the thunderbolt display im getting download speeds of 6.83. But when using the macbook on its own, not connected to the display, in the same room im getting download speeds of 19.24 according to speedtest.net
I have the virgin media super hub which is located downstairs. The macbook and display are upstairs.
I can't understand why theres such a difference in speeds just because im connected to the display. Can anyone help??

I'm having the same issue. I can unplug the thunderbolt cable from the laptop and get speeds at least 10x faster (without moving the laptop at all). But when it's plugged into the display, it's slow (at times it is semi-usable but it drops in and out, which isn't usable).
I have tried disabling the display ethernet, setting the display ethernet below wi-fi in service order, and switching wireless networks (I have 2.4 and 5GHz setup, on separate devices). I have another laptop that performs just fine as well (each laptop uses a separate wifi network).
I saw something state that 10.8.1 beta testers were asked to test audio and wifi while connected to a thunderbolt display. Too bad I'm also on 10.8.2 and it appears broken still (again?).
I'd love to hear solutions because I can't currently run a cable to the display (in the future I will but that's the next project).

HT3382 Connect from a MacBook Pro's mini display port to a Display Port monitor?

Hello everyone,
Is it possible to connect from a MacBook Pro's mini display port to a Display Port monitor with resolutions higher than 1920 x 1200? It seems Apple does not supply a mini-DP to DP adapter.
However, just as they do not make a mini-DP to HDMI adapter, but they do recommend a Belkin product for this purpose.
Is there any reason that a mini-DP to DP adapter or cable wouldn't work and support high resolutions?

Otherwise, depending on the TV's inputs, for video you could run DVI to DVI on the TV, or DVI to HDMI to the TV. For audio you could run 3.5mm stereo mini plug from the MBP to RCA adapter on the TV. Toslink/optical is also an option.

2014 MBP: 1 x 4k display & 2 x 1k Displays, possible???

Today i have two Full HD displays running through Thunderbolt and HDMI.
Is it possible to connect a third display (4K at 60Hz) through the remaining Thunderbolt display??
I'm aware of the limitations of running only one 4K at 60hz through the Mac, so i will only use one. But also want my two 1K monitors connected.
Does anyone know if this is possible?? Has anyone tried??

Where did detect displays button go in Display pref under Mavericks

So both my friend and I have MacBook Air machines. Under OS 10.9 there is no button for detct displays. Also when we plugged into an HDMI TV using the lightening display port through an adapter. No hint that the preference even knows about multiple displays, much less detecting one.
Under 10.8 there was a detect displays, now nothing.

Well, it allowed us to see the detect displays (Thanks!) but it will not detect the TV. Now the adapter and cable worked with his MacBook Pro (10.8) and, the HDMI cable plugged into a PC Laptop currently works. So That tells that it is either something with the new MacBook Air or with Mavericks.
I am not sure which adapter it is, but it isn't Apple.

I have to display the values in jsf frm table where i'm using DislayCertDetailVO . In dis VO i'm having a column no.of certificaties .taking dis column value when i navigate to other page jsf by selecting a specific row. here i have to display the selected row in multiple times based on the no.of.certificates column value.
I want to display specific row to display multiple time to repeat same row in a table in jsf based on the value from bean or table in database.

Hi, Trying it once more to give more clarity of my scenario.
I have to navigate from 1 screen to the other by picking a given table record/row from the 1st screen. While displaying the record on the 2nd screen the catch is that, I have to display it as many times as the value in a cell of the selected record.
eg.
screen 1
col1 col2 col3
2 order1 item1
[next]
On clicking next it should look like
screen2
col1 col2 col3 col4
order1 item1
order1 item1
where col3 and col4 will be editable by the user and col1 is the value depends how many times i have repeat the row/record
