Displayport version and maximum resolution(s)

Hi.
I'm considering buying a TS140 server for use as a workstation (Software development using multiple virtual machines).
I'm also considering buying  a 4k monitor and would like to know if TS140 (70A4) supports 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60Hz. This requires a displayport version 1.2 but I havn't been able to find which version is on the TS140.
Kind regards
Jimmy

Why not Quadro K600? Or K620? Quadro 600 is EOL, 2 generations old ...
Also are you sure Quadro 600 by Lenovo has no DP? I think it has DP (link)
Edit: This document says that 4K resolution is supported by HD 4400/4600 and P4600/4700 ...

If we want to install BI Publisher 11.1.1.1.5 on Red Hat, what would be the minumum and maximum version of the Red Hat required for successful installation?
In case we have Red Hat version 5.8, will BI Publisher 11.1.1.5 be compatible.

  • Maximum resolution on external monitor

wondering if anyone knows what the maximum resolution the graphics card on my emac (1.42 Ghz model) would support for an external monitor?
I am currently running a 17" monitor at 1280 x 1024 using the screen spanning doctor hack and it works well, but I would like to replace it with a 20" 4:3 display, or maybe a 22" or even 24" widescreen display.
According to Apple an external display will only support the same resolutions as the internal monitor, but using this hack more resolutions are unlocked. Am I right in thinking that this should support the same resolutions as a standard AGP 64MB Radeon 9600 ?

I would say it may be close to the powerbooks from 2004 that used the mobile version of the GPU (2048x1536 at millions of colors)

  • Feature Request: Exporting to Photoshop at gamma 1.0 and 32bit resolution

    Hi,
In terms of maximum fidelity, it'd be nice if Lightroom had a setting to tell it to hand of copies of photos to Photoshop at gamma 1.0 or Lightroom's native profile (which is apparently also based on gamma 1.0), and 32bit resolution, so that maximum fidelity is guaranteed. I feel the current settings are restrictive, and while I can retroactively change the edited image to gamma 1.0, I'm exporting a 16bit image from LR to Photoshop. Depending on how creative someone goes on the sliders and tone curve, eventual color banding may happen when converting between color profiles.
    Thanks for considering,
    -mg

Interesting responses everybody. I do think LR is a good program as I have been using the beta as well as Aperture and comparing the two. Extensis Portfolio , although not a "developing" program from the beginning had no size limitation in its cataloging. It extracted(or created) a thumbnail, generated jpg previews and automatically updated changes to files each time the program was started. In contextual menus you could export a copy, open in PS, and various other commands right out of the program without hogging memory. Nobody has offered an educated reason for the size limitation. Can it not manage memory ? Ok, maybe not, but that doesn't mean it couldn't at least catalog the large files. If this is the case , my suggestion would be to implement a "lock out" feature that would not let you "develop" large files in LR but could still generate and update thumbnails and allow you to organize them within your filing system. Then you could at least manage versions and changes within LR with out having to switch to Bridge or the like. Making JPG versions is not a good workaround.. to assume people only have a "few" large files to keep track is very one-dimensional thinking. I personally know of several mural photographers that work exclusively with digital cameras/backs , are they not considered a valued target market for LR ?

Hi, I installed the MSI 7600GS - Its working great so far. Having problems with Display Properties / VGA Clock - the settings reset to default after i restart windows? how do i get them to stick.   Thanks
    nice
    about remaining things:
you have change VGA Clock freq. via MSI DOT or via Nvidia panel(e.g. coolbits)? there should be a checkmark "apply this settings at start up"
what drivers version you currently use?
use Driver Cleaner to remove currently drivers,
    reboot.
then download and install latest one from Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

  • W540 + Ultradock: External monitors not showing correct maximum resolution

I have three 20" LCD monitors and the Ultra Dock.  I am connecting them as: 1 with VGA, 1 with DisplayPort to DVI cable and 1 with DVI cable.
The ones one the DisplayPort and one with DVI both show a max resolution of 1280x1024 even though the monitor has a native resolution of 1600x1200.  The VGA connected monitor shows the correct maximum resolution.
When I connect the DVI cable to into the mini-displayport connection on the laptop itself, that same monitor shows the proper 1600x1200 resolution.
Is there some limitation here preventing me from using the full 1600x1200 resolution through the dock?

    Solved!
My dock already had the same version as the update file.  Plus, the description of item fixed did not match my issue.  I had no blinking or missing screens, I had too low of resolution.
...But I have found the solution on my own.
Surprisingly I have not see it discussed anywhere on this forum.  I found the answer here:
    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/gjde49ww.txt
    It contains the following information:
In Standard mode, all dock displays uses Integrated Graphics as display output
and is limited to a maximum of 3 displays including Computer's LCD.
While in Advanced mode, all dock displays uses Discrete Graphics as display
output and it increases the maximum number of displays to 6 including Computer's LCD.
    Also:
    ThinkPad W540 (Standard Mode)
    Intel HD Graphics
    - (Computer's LCD)
    - Computer's analog VGA connector
    - Computer's DisplayPort connector
    - Docking Station's analog VGA connector
    - Docking Station's DVI connector(s)
    - Docking Station's DisplayPort connector(s)
    - Docking Station's HDMI connector
NVIDIA Quadro K2100M or NVIDIA Quadro K1100M
    - No display is connected to this display adapter.
    ThinkPad W540 (Advanced Mode)
    Intel HD Graphics Family
    - (Computer's LCD)
    - Computer's analog VGA connector
    - Computer's DisplayPort connector
NVIDIA Quadro K2100M or NVIDIA Quadro K1100M
    - Docking Station's analog VGA connector
    - Docking Station's DVI connector(s)
    - Docking Station's DisplayPort connector(s)
    - Docking Station's HDMI connector
Something about this really prevents the resolution I wanted.
I switched to advanced mode in the BIOS as such:
The procedure below allows user to select "Standard mode" or "Advanced mode"
    1. Power off the computer.
    2. Power on the computer.
    3. While the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" message is displayed
at the lower-left area or lower-center area of the screen, press the F1 key.
The ThinkPad Setup menu will be displayed.
    4. Choose "Config" then "Display" to show the menu.
    5. Select "Video Mode on Dock" and press Enter.
    6. Select "Standard" or "Advanced" for your preference
    7. Press F10 key and select "Yes" to save and exit from Setup menu. Then the
    computer is restarted.
After a few reboots, I have proper resolution on all displays.
Not sure if there are any downsides to advanced mode, but it certainly feels like it is my solution.  This gets me back to what just worked fine with the W530 I had before this.

  • ISE 1.2 and maximum PSNs supported in my Persona config

Hello folks,  I am putting together a medium to large distributed ISE deployment and wondered if anybody could tell me what the maximum number of PSNs are allowed under this configuration.   I was reading thru an older training document with version 1.1 and it suggested only 5, which is why I am wondering if the specs changed on 1.2 but I cannot find them anywhere handy.
I have a large VM running the PRIMARY admin persona which also is secondary for my reporting & monitoring in my main data center.
In another state (connected with 10G) is another large VM acting as my secondary admin persona with primary monitoring & reporting.
Across multiple states I want to have multiple PSNs across the geographical layouts of each state but I am not sure if I can scale enough PSNs with my current version of 1.2 and my persona config listed above.    I have a need for about 12 to 15 PSNs.
Wondering if I need two more VMs to break out my monitoring as one node in DC1 and secondary monitoring in DC2 in order to get more PSN scalability.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    -Thanks

As Marvin suggested, I would look into using 1.3 at this point unless you have some specific concerns with that version and really want to stay with 1.2. With that being said, here are my recommendations/comments:
    - Both v1.2 and v1.3 can actually scale up to 40 PSN nodes
    - If any of your PSN nodes are going to be placed in the same location and are layer 2 adjacent I would recommend putting them in a node group and behind a load balancer. If you don't have a load balancer, I would still put them in a node group. At the moment a node group can have up to 10 PSNs
    - If you are going to have 10-15 PSN nodes then you should dedicate 2 nodes for specifically for the monitoring persona
    - The maximum roundtrip delay between any nodes cannot exceed 200ms
For more info you can always reference the "Network Deployment" section in the hardware installation guide for ISE:

  • External display - maximum resolution only works in safe mode on MBP

I'm having an issue with an external display connected to a 2012 non-retina MacbookPro 15" i7 running 10.9.  Monitor is Dell U2713HM, which has a maximum resolution of 2560x1440, and is connected via a Mini-Dipslayport to Displayport cord.
My setup has been working great for over a year, where while at my office I use the macbook closed in "clamshell mode" with the Dell monitor being the only display in use, running at 2560x1440.  However today when I came into my office and connected to the dispay as usual, the resolution on the Dell was noticably scaled.  System preferences is showing it running Scaled at 1080p, and when I select Best for Display it stretches to a very wide and distorted resolution.  I can hold alt and click the Scaled button to display additional resolutions, however the maximum resolution listed is 1600x1200.  Same problem regardless of clamshell, mirror, or extended desktop modes.
I've been trying to track down the problem, and have run though the usual procedures: restart, shutdown, reset PRAM, reset SMC, check cord connections, verify disk, repair disk permissions - all to no avail.  However when I boot in safe mode the display runs as it should at 2560x1440 without issue, which lets me know its not a problem with the cord or connectioin, but rather something on the OS / GPU side.
I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing the issue.  Considering its been working fine for quite some time, and I've made no unusual changes to the MBP in the past 48 hours when the display was working properly, I'm not really sure where to go from here.   Hoping to not have to migrate to a new user or repartion my HDD.
    Any suggestions on possible solutions?
    Thanks.

I stumbled upon a fix.  Still not sure what caused the issue in the first place, but for anyone having the same issue, the display override script contained on the site below seems to have fixed the issue.

  • Whats the maximum resolution resolution supported @ 60 Hz on an external display for mid 2014 macbook pro retina 13 inch ?

whats the maximum resolution supported @ 60 Hz on an external display for mid 2014 macbook pro retina 13 inch ?

I don't know where you found 1920x1080, but that isn't the max. The INTERNAL display can even support more than that.
The maximum resolution is really hardware based, and since Thunderbolt 2 has a Mini displayport connector (Mini Displayport 1.2), the max resolution for Mini Displayport is 4k (3840x2160).
PLEASE NOTE: Not all adapters can support that resolution, most monitors that can run 4k @60Hz have Displayport 1.2 (The most recent revision), Mini Displayport 1.2, and HDMI 2.0. DVI dual link can run 4k, but only 24-30Hz, depending on the monitor.
    Hope this helps!!

  • I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 running Safari  5.1.9 I have a problem loading VistaPrint website I am currently building. All worked until I updated Safari with this latest version and now I am sorry I did. I have not found issues with any other website.

I had to download FireFox to be able to access my website in VistaPrint. I have cleared cache, both thru Safari and thru Finder by moving this cache to trash ~/LIbrary/Caches/com.apple.Safari
I have set IPv6 to off, rebooted too many times to count, and I still can not access my VistaPrint website. What is going on here??? I am so mad that I upgraded to this version, and am annoyed that this problem just came up and I cannot find a resolution to it after searching tons of forums and doing ALL they suggested. Can any one help???

Safari 5.1.9 and Java 6 are the latest versions available for OS X 10.6.8. To upgrade any further you would need to upgrade to Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.4) through the Mac App Store.

  • Maximum resolution for external monitor on a B570e

    hi,
    i've just bought a Lenovo B570e in which i've plugged a Philips 221 V. That has a nominal resolution of 1920 x 1080.
However, when I try and setup its resolution, whether it's through the native windows graphic manager or the intel graphic manager, to 1920 x 1080, nothing is displayed. I need to lower the resolution down to 1680 x 1050 in order for the lenovo to display anything on the external monitor.
am i missing something, or is 1680 x 1050 the maximum resolution for dual display?
    thank you

  • What is the maximum resolution for an external monitor for a 13" BMP

I have a new MBP 13 and a new Samsung LED 23" monitor that is spec'd at 1920x1080 resolution. However the maximum resolution I can get (using Display) for the external monitor is 1600x900 (or 1600x1200 stretched). What could be causing this limitation?

    Hello CHENSLER68,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update.  I recommend following the steps below:
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

  • Why does my 27" LED Cinema Display only display maximum resolution of 1920x1200, when my Mid 2009 13" MBP says it supports up to 2560x1600?

When I have my MBP connected to my 27" LED Cinema Display, my display settings only show a maximum resolution of 1920x1200, when the specs on both my MBP and Display say they they support up to 2560x1600?  Am I missing something?

I finally decided to just take my MBP down to the Apple store and see what would happen if I connected it to one of their new ACDs.  At 1st, the guy at the Genius Bar told me that my MBP only supported 1280x800 as a maximum resolution.  I told him that was for my MBP screen, and not an external monitor.  Finally I convinced him to let me connect my MBP to one of their monitors.  Low and behold, looking at the Display settings pane I saw some addtional resolutions, including 2560x1600!
So, now I have confirmed that my MBP can drive an external monitor to a resolution of 2560x1600, using just the single mini displayport connection.  I just have to figure out what's wrong with my ACD.  Suspecting that my older ACD might not support this higher resolution, I did finally discover that my model only supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1600.
    Sorry for all the confusion...
