Dispute Case

Hi All,
I have gone through SAP traning for FSCM Credits, Collections and Dispute mgt. I have few basic questions. Could someone please answer these-
1. Dispute case can be initaited by anyone - either Customer or User/authorized employee of the organization? It is not all the time the Customer disputing against us, even we can dispute the customer for not paying.
2. SAP provides program for automatic creation of dispue cases in DM based on residual items created in AR. This is a standard program? Any further detials about the program - prg name, functionality, if i add more parameters to it etc?
Regards,
Satya

Disputes can be initiated automatically or manually. If you have Biller direct, then the customer could create a dispute case himself, other way the dispute will be create by a clerk or automatically due to process integration.
2. SAP provides program for automatic creation of dispue cases in DM based on residual items created in AR. This is a standard program? Any further detials about the program - prg name, functionality, if i add more parameters to it etc?
Yes, there is an standard program for this. Transaction FDM_AUTO_CREATE
3. Debits can be included in a dispute case as "Disputed items". All other items (credits, clearances) are entered as "Customer-disputed objects". How do i do the seperation? Is there a seperate button for each or the system picks up automatically?
No, you can create Customer-disputed objects over credits or any other item, however if a normal dispute case was created over an invoice in the linked object section you will find the documents related to it. By the way, customer disputed objects are not create automatically.
4. Multiple invoices can be created as one dispute case? Or one invoice - one dispute case?
Only Customer disputed objects.

  • Re: Diff: Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5

    Dear Richard,
I'm facing same issue in my system.
I've already made the customization in my system but still i'm facing issue.
I'm not able to get credit in my dispute case. Could you please help me out.
Also help me to understand your below statement.
"And make sure the business adapts the correct process:  When you reverse a charge on a debit invoice you have to make sure the credit is properly linked to the debit note"
    Best Regards,
    Jain

Please note you have to perform the config - and then run the FOAP programs to attach and then match the credit to the dispute.
Please note the open item within the dispute will be cleared and a residual posted against the customer whilst clearing the credit note.

  • Diff: Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5

    Hi Experts
I am bit confused ...on the Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5.
Does the following statement is valid in EHP4 or EHP5.
"You can add a credit to a dispute to close it or reduce the amount disputed."
If it is possible in EHP 5 or EHP 4, please let me know what is the procedure to follow?
If i need to activate anything in SFW5, please provide what is the Business function i need to activate.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Meenkashi.N

Linking a credit note has nothing to do with EHP4 or 5. You have to do a config sertting:
Dispute Management-Process Integration with Accounts Receivable Accounting-Assignment of Open Credits and Payments-Activate Assignment of Open Credits and Payments
And make sure the business adapts the correct process:  When you reverse a charge on a debit invoice you have to make sure the credit is properly linked to the debit note.
If this is the case then the credit will show up in the dispute case.

Our end user wants to see the changed reason code on the line items page wich is on the AR side when we change the reason for case on the dispute side.
its kind of urgent please put some light onto it, any help would be highly appreciable...
    Thanks

sounds like changing the ALE from system 1 to the other system.
However I doubt it will be that easy.
I believe that could should contact SAP SLO to work out the best route for data migration.

  • How to relate dispute case for a AR document

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the reason code change date of dispute case(DIspute management) for the related AR document.
Basically i am posting a AR document through BAPI. Now i wanted to take the last dunned date(MADAT) and find the related dispute case after that change the reason code change date using last dunned date.
so my question how to relate relevent dispute case for the AR document?
    Thanks advance.
    Regards,
    Radhakrishna.

    Hi.............
Better and simplest way you can get it through a simple qury report. Create a query by joining two tables ODLN and OINV. OINV's docdate means the closing date of delivery challan.

To disspell any doubts, SU53 shows the last failed auth check which the user invoked in a program, immediately before executing Su53. It is not necessarily the correct one to assign!

    >
I assume by this that you are referring to profile name collisions. This has two common causes:
The SID ID's of PROD, QAS and DEV etc systems all have the same identical characters in the 1st and the 3rd place. Only these two are used in the generation of the profile name. Search for "AGR_NUM_2" for more infos and options.
Another (IMO more likely possibility) is that which SAP Note 1373111 describes in the reason codes of the FOR USER construct. The check might infact have been performed against a different user ID...
Please run the same with an ST01 trace on and check the reason code (if your kernel release is high enough).
Personally I am rather sceptical about this new mechanism in the wild. The old mechanism via FM AUTHORITY_CHECK at least gave us a where-usd-list and when jumping from the trace to the source it was clear what the developer had intended to do, even if they have already left the building...

  • Dispute case ID no longer in cleared document visible

    Hi,
we have voided a dispute case.
Now, when I go back into document display or through FBL5n I have no longer visibility of the case. How can that be?
The disputed FI document has been cleared. And the FI document is still visible as linked document in the case.
for reporting reasons and account overview I would need to see this.
    What can I do?
    Thanks + Regards
    Hein

Are you saying you disputed an item.
    Then you voided it
    Then the item was cleared
If that is the case I believe everything is fine.
You will always be able to see a voided dispute - you can use the status to remove it from reporting
By voiding the item - the AR data will no longer link back to the dispute. This allows the AR item to be disputed again.
    Hope this helps

  • Getting Error while generating Dispute Case

    Hi,
While creating Dispute for Down payment received for and invoice I am getting error "User XXX is not created in dispute case processing system". This case I am creating through FBL5N.
Now if I enter another user Processor it says "Entry DZITO   does not exist in USR02 (check entry)"
So can any body help me out in this.
As I am new to dispute Management.
    Regards,
    Kiran.

    Hi Kiran,
It seems that a processor is required for your dispute.
You can check the attribute aligned to the dispute case.
Within the attribute, there is a tick box against the processor field to indicate that this is mandatory.
The second error is the user you entered for the processor field, is that the userid you entered is not a SAP user id.
Please make sure that only SAP user ids are entered.

  • Dispute Case attachments: CMS, DMS, RMS, ArchiveLink... Confused!

    Hi,
We're starting to implement SAP Collections & Dispute Mgmt. One of the things that excited our business users on the SAP solution was the ability to attach unlimited (word, pdf, jpg, email, etc) files directly to the Dispute case. However, we have a large volume of disputes and estimate to wish to attach an annual total of ~500,000 files, ~200Gb directly to Dispute cases.
But I'm confused as to the options we have in doing this and the potential pros/cons related to those options. From the documentation I have found, I see references to SAP DMS (Document Management System), SAP CMS (Content Management System), SAP RMS (Records Management System), SAP ArchiveLink, and also SAP integration "3rd party DMS solutions" (whatever those are...)
Is SAP CMS & SAP RMS the same thing?
Has anyone implemented a 3rd party DMS solution? If so, what were the benefits of this over the SAP solutions?
Has anyone else implemented Disputes with a large volume of attachements?
Many thanks in advance for those of you with knowledge & experience in this area,
    JJ

    Hi,
DisP.Mgt uses RMS as base so when you link objects in UDM_DISPUTE then you already using RMS. Archivelink & CMS are connected to RMS so if you create an archivelink document in UDM_DISPUTE, you would be creating an archivelink document in ARL already.CMS is in the base for managing content. This is done for all RMS objects & would already be set up. What is means is that if you store say a archivelink documetn then meta data is stored in sap DB but content sits in content server. This content server can be SAP own or 3rd-party. Same goes for RMS objects like cases, records, editable documents.

  • Link between Credit Memo and Dispute Case

    Hi,
Please help me. How to Link between Credit Memo and Dispute Case
    Thaks,
    Vinod.

  • Auto Creation of Dispute Case based on dunning level

    Dear All
We want to create the dispute case automatically using T.Code FDM_Auto_Create. We want to default the title as dunning level + External reference. We know the BADI for this but how to check which dispute cases are created automatically due to dunning level.
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Farhan Qaiser

    Hi Farhan,
I presume you are creating your disputes against open items, and not incoming payments.
If this is correct, the dunning level field is part of the selection parameter.
Are you planning on disputing all open items, that have a specific Dunning level, if that is the case you can include this in your selection parameter.

  • When using program RFDM3000/Automatic creation of dispute cases what is the difference with the option of Automatic incoming payment and Open items?

We currently have a batch jobs running for each, automatic incoming payment and open items.  This was set up in the past and we are trying to determine what the difference is for each of these functions?  Do you need to have the automatic incoming run prior to the open items for residuals and payments on accounts?

    Hi Chris,
Program RFDM3000 creates dispute cases for residual items arising during automatic incoming payments (account statement, lockbox), during check presentation, or in postprocessing.
Alternatively, you can use the program to create dispute cases for open receivables items. You can use the selection criteria to restrict the quantity of open items (for example, using the document type and posting key for residual items from incoming payment postings).

  • Add new field during the creation of a dispute case from AR

    Hi experts,
Can you help me out with the steps necessaries to create a new field and add it and completed during the creation of a dispute case from AR.
    Many thanks.

Yes, BADI fdm_user_screen has to be used.
1 method GET_CREATE_SCREEN to define the screen with the new attribute/s
2 method CREATE_SCREEN_PBO to define the logic tht u want to get processed before the screen is up for display, (possibly pre-population of the attribute/s)
3 method CREATE_SCREEN_PAI for logic after the user has entered value in the attribute/s
