Disregard Empty / Transparent Group Pixels?

If I have layers in groups and right click on an area EVERY group is listed though the CONTENTS of those groups are nowhere near where I'm clicking. How can I get GROUP selection to behave like LAYER selection: if there are no pixels "under" where I right click, don't give me any selections/choices.

   I have a scenario in campaign automation where i need to create a target group automatically when ever a customer clicks on yes/no in the survey.
      I hope there is a standard workflow which creates target grooup.but do we need to have an empty target group so that who ever cliks on yes/no can form a target group.?
   When ever a Target group is created,i need to create LEAD automatically from it.How do i achieve this?is there a workflow or BADI? and if at all leads are created automatcally,how are they automatically assigned to Lead qualifier??

its easy as you just assign a new target group to existing or new profile set and do not assign any BP tp that target group
this way you have empty target group at your discretion.

Suppress empty legend/group in pie graph

Hi,
I've created a pie graph using BAM datacontrol.
In the pie graph, the legend area shows an extra empty group.
For eg. in the pie graph if there are 3 slices : High,Medium & Low, then in the legend area 4 legends will be displayed; 3 legends corresponds to the 3 respective groups but an additional legend shows up.
How can we hide/suppress the empty legend/group.
In BAM dashboard we have an option 'Suppress Empty Group' but I didn't found any similar property in the pie dvt component.

the values from our column are from database , then how can we edit the data(values) in that columnErrr..Ohkk. There are 3 methods you can do this:
1) Correct the spelling in underlying DB table by updating the column name (check all the references) - Most Recommended
2) In case you don't want to go for 1st option, you can remove the default legend option in Pie Chart by setting it to none and ADD a new Legend View to this Chart View with correct names
3) Change the fx of that column in criteria like

Powershell script to export empty AD group and include certain properties

I need to find all of the empty AD groups in my domain and export a csv file that also includes certain properties. I currently have a working script to export the group names but cannot figure out how to include additional properties (Managed By, Member
Of, Description, Notes and Location).

Dont ask anything when deleting empty layer group

When I try to delete a layer group, a popup comes up with three options: "cancel", "group only", & "group and contents". This is a very useful feature....if there is something in the layer group.
However, if the layer group is empty, this popup becomes a pointless annoyance. The "group only" and "group and contents" options are completely meaningless, since they both do exactly the same thing in this instance. The "cancel" is pretty pointless too: deleting an empty layer group is hardly a significant event, so why the extra "are you sure?" step. I don't get the option of cancelling when I delete a layer that actually has content in it, so why would I need one for deleting a layer group that's completely empty?
Empty layer groups are usually the result of an aborted decision, or are left over once their child layers have been deleted, or after their layers have been rearranged/consolidated with some other layer group. In other words, the main reason why someone would want to delete an empty layer group is for housekeeping: to clean up the layer pallette and get things more organised, elegant and streamlined. Forcing an annoying and useless popup onto them while they try to do this conflicts with that desire: it creates a speedbump where the user is trying to remove one.
In my work, I delete empty layer groups all the time, and I find this popup very annoying each time.
Please, change this!

You have got to be kidding me. If you really think I was obliged to come back and 'honestly' say "thanks sorted my problem Mark!", then let me spell out to you why I didn't:
Please note that this post is in the "Feature Requests" section. The message of the post wasn't "help, I need to know how to delete a layer group without a dialogue" - it was "I've identified what I think is an oversight in your interface design and I request that Adobe improves it for CS6." A simple feature request. Adobe can listen to it or ignore it - up to them; I didn't expect anyone to respond, nor did I particularly want anyone to.
What you offered me was a workaround to the problem, and a somewhat inefficient workaround at that. Yes, your second suggestion was better, but still not perfect: I would have to take up another precious hotkey slot, and every time I wanted to delete a layer goup I would have to stop and think which hotkey to use - the dialogue one or your non-dialogue action. Not a bad outcome, but certainly not as efficient as it could be, and it still misses the point of my post: I was suggesting an improvement to the core interface that everyone could benefit from - not asking for a workaround for my own personal use.
So, I was grateful for the time it took you to offer it (and I said as much), but it didn't "sort" my problem, and in fact it seems like you kind of misunderstood my "problem" in the first place.

Why Does Reading A Gif Or Png Containing Transparent/Alpha Pixels Fail?

I'm trying to read in gif or png with transparent pixels into a BufferedImage so that I can create a font inside of Java. Right now, I'm defaulting to the assumption that the background of the font image is white. However, I want to make it so that the font background is whatever pixels happen to be transparent. The images I'm reading in have only two colors: black and white. I set all the white pixels to transparent when creating the images in hopes that I could do a check for all pixels with Alpha < 255. I have tried numerous possible solutions, such as saving the png files with different applications, ImageIO.read, and Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().createImage, and JAI.The types of the resulting BufferedImages have varied between TYPE_BYTE_BINARY, TYPE_BYTE_INDEXED, and TYPE_CUSTOM. What I want is TYPE_INT_ARGB so I can get the dang alpha pixels.
1. Is there a way to read in alpha pixels of png or gif (doesn't have to be both) from within the main Java libraries as a BufferedImage with type TYPE_INT_ARGB? If so, how?
2. Failing that, is there a way to read in alpha pixels of png or gif (doesn't have to be both) by using a decent external library as a BufferedImage with type TYPE_INT_ARGB? If so, how and with which one?

Validate empty exclusion group

I have an exclusion group with an on empty message set. I have a print button with the following javascript code to check if any field with an empty message isn’t set:

How to delete empty contact groups on iPhone 4

Hi,
I am using iCloud to store all of my contacts, calendars, etc. About a week ago I had to restore my iPhone and when it was done resetting, I found that I had duplicate contacts in groups that fell under the 'On my iPhone' group. Since I have all the contacts I want in my iCloud folders, I don't need these groups, especially after I deleted all of the contacts within them, leaving them empty.
My question is how do I delete these unwanted and empty 'All on my iPhone', 'Family', 'Friends', 'School', and 'Work' groups from my phone so that they don't appear in my contacts app at all.

Hi, I have a similar problem:
There are groups that remain in my iTunes "Info" that won't go away even after resetting the iPhone and resetting via software update.
I cleared out all my contacts in the address book; went into finder - applications support - address book - metadata and deleted 4 items that have a *.abcdp extention. (except the apple address)
I even tried syncing with iCloud and using the empty iCloud database to overwrite what I have in iPhone then to my iTunes,
I tried downloading an app called Easy groups to delete the groups on the iPhone 4s ...
Still there are 4 empty Groups in iTunes.

I've got an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 with a white MacBook all running the latest respective OSes. Last night I cleaned up my contacts and created three groups, deleting the old ones (Friends, family, work). All of them appeared this morning and were populated but the work group, arguably the most important one. I turned contact syncing with iCloud off and on a couple times, I reset the phone and I force quit the contact and phone apps a few times in various configurations. Finally, I just turned off iCloud, deleted everything and resynced on the iPhone (I never touched the iPad since contacts are as important for me there). Now I have two of each group and both work groups are empty.
I think I may have a bad contact in the work group, any idea if there's a field I should look for or a rogue character that causes a problem for the contact sync?

Made a Work2 group and dragged all the names from the other group in. That didn't work (it was also blank) so I manually dragged all 78 contacts in from the main list to Work3 and it took.

ACS External User Databases - Empty NT Group List

I have a production ACS system that has multiple external NT domains for authenticating users.
We are bringing up a new ADS domain that I need to authenticate against. We have created the trust. The domain shows up in the domain list. When I go to map a NT group to a ACS group, the NT group list is empty.
The other domains show their NT groups.
What is also noteworthy is that when I log into the ACS server desktop and try to the see the foreign domain groups via user manager, I get a "domain cannot be found". When the server admin logs in (he administers both domains), he get a list of the foreign groups in the user manager.
What could be preventing ACS from see the groups in the external domain?

How to delte empty Style Group from paragraph style palette

I want to delete my empty paragraphStyleGroups folder that are Style Group 1and Style Group 3 (see pic) from my palette.
I need a js code for this task.
I have created script but it deletes all the Style group from my panel.
Here is the script:

Alright everyone calm down, i know everyone was in the middle of writing an answer but i found something that while is not precisely what i intended, gets the job done for what i needed.
the =
isBackgroundLayer
property of an artlayer. which pretty much tells me whether or not the ducoument is flattened. I know that i can check whether or not individual pixels have transparency but that would make the entire script a lot more complicated than what i actually need.

Deleting Empty Contact Group? iCloud contact syncing issues.

I have two contact groups on my iPhone with no contacts in them. How do I delete them from my iPhone? They are annoying. I have read multiple threads on this topic and still can't figure it out.
Also, after backing up to iCloud - not one of my 84 contacts actually backed up? Is there some setting I am missing? Only one contact showed up and it was my own name and email address?
Any help would be great.

Best way is to use a 3rd party app managing groups. Easy Group is a free one I have developped.
Launch it, all your groups will automatically appear
Tap on "Edit"
Tap on red cross next to the groups you want to delete

Hi Geoff,
Both queries will work for you and return the same records.
The top one executes slightly quicker as the WHERE clause for each item group isn't looking through the list of items each time, but if you don't have too many items or item groups it shouldn't make any difference.

Duplicate empty contacts groups

I have contacts on my iPhone but not on my dot Mac account.
Somehow I caused there to be duplicate groups in my contacts on my iPhone. So I have 2 Business groups and 2 Personal groups, but only 1 of the Business groups is populated with data and only 1 of the Personal groups is populated with data. How do I delete the 2 unpopulated groups ONLY and NOT affect the populated groups?

I am also experiencing this email issue. I have a new 3GS, use gmail, one account currently being sent to phone. I went into the mail app, which sent me into the inbox, i clicked the mailboxes button and went through my drafts, sent mail the through the google section of the settings and when i went back to my inbox the ghost messages were gone. i don't know if this has resolved the issue but at least i didn't have to restore my phone again after owning it for two weeks
