Dissapeared connection for control of scanning etc through PC

Suddenly I lost communication with the printer for "control" scanning, Inc-data a.s.o. For a couple of years I could choose type of scanning (pdf; picture;mail) from my PC, but something happened and now I couldn't control anything. HPDr-program could communicate and "adjust scanning". WIn 7 64 bits. I've try to download new drivers, tried to connect both Wireless and from USB. What's happened?

Let's try a different approach. Please use the steps below to remove the driver from the Printer Server Properties and re-add it again.
In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder. or units and printers in your case
2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.
Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
5. Choose 'Remove driver only'
6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.

I would also like this issue addressed.
I am using a Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and when it is connected to my iPhone 4, email and text sounds are not audible through the phone. The phone just vibrates when a new text or email is received.
I don't really care if it plays through the headset, but it should at least play through the phone. I tested the headset from a BlackBerry and the alerts play fine.

Problem Load Balancing connections for Grid Control Console on port 80!

I have two OMS and I'm balancing connections for Grid Control Console using a Software Load Balancer according with "Oracle Enterprise Manager Advanced Configuration". I have success where the load balancer is listening on port different to 80. When I configure Load Balancer to listen on port 80(architecture requirement) and distribute load between the two OMS(Port 7779), when login to Enterprise Manager Console the URL on the web browser changes to the port configured for HTTP server (port 7780) wich produces an "unable to connect" error message; and this behaviour also happends in some of the internal links of Grid Control Console too. Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand the connection between iCloud and this problem. Is it simply a problem of coincidental timing (ie, the problem happened after you set up iCloud)? If so, there's almost certainly no connection between these two events.
Where are you getting the files you're trying to open, and what specifically happens when you try to open them?

We are a two iPhone family, both on the same service provider. My wires iPhone is unable to connect to the home network where as mine is! In the settings her phone has no details for the IP address etc where as mine does! I cannot even enter the details.

Firewall Rules for Printing and Scanning through Windows Firewall

I am having trouble determining the Ports, Programs, and Services required for printing and scanning with my AIO.
I am using Windows Firewall in Windows 7, and am only allowing certain rules in and out.
I know the firewall is the problem, for when I disable it, everything works fine.
Which rules are required for printing and scanning through the firewall?

I have issues as well. Drops connections for thermostats (Wifi) and other devices. Range mediocre as well. Will be replacing it. Linksys has gone downhill.

Hi there. Is your E4200 a hardware version 1 or 2? Have you tried to change the wireless channels on the router? If you're trying to connect to the 2.4 ghz band you can try channels 1,3,6,9, or 11. There are external factors that we have to consider when it comes to wireless connectivity - distance, interference with other wireless devices. If you have tried those, you can try to update the firmware of the router which you can find from Cisco's homesupport site (http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E4200).

Intermittent VISA errors -10073807194 'connection for given session has been lost'

I am using a USB/Serial converter with FTDI chipset (VCP configured) to communicate with a serial device. There is an intermittent problem where the connection disappears, and the VISA error '10073807194' is generated. I have read carefully through the other threads related to this error, but still do not have a solution. Some background information on my set-up:
1) NI VISA 5.1.2
2) LV 2010
3) Windows 7 - 64 bit
Could windows be dropping the connection for the FTDI device when communication errors occur? Has anyone had this experience? We were previously using a prolific converter, and were encountering other communication errors where the read would timeout or only partial responses would be returned, but the VISA connection was not lost. I know the prolific converters can be problematic on 64 bit windows, so I was hoping the new converter would solve the problems.
I will post the code tomorrow, but I open the VISA session and configure the port on start up and close it when the application exits. I am using the bytes at port with the VISA read. However, the code I have has been running fine on two test machines in our office for several months. The above issues have been occuring at a customer's site overseas. We have not been able to reproduce the above problems here. There may be environmental factors at play (improper grounding, noise, etc.)
I should also mention that the original setup has this USB converter running through a hub, but the hub on their setup had to be removed due to reoccurring communication problems with this serial device, as well as other connected devices. We are going to get them to try installing a serial port on one of their PCs, and see if it eliminates the issue.
In the mean time any experience/help troubleshooting would really be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Well, I saw your Kudos to this post
Using "Bytes at port" on the FTDI driver can be very problematic and is the likely culprit for the behavior change. If there is any way to use a term char with the serial protocol change this.
The FTDI driver does have control of the buffer size and latency timer. Read through the documentation in this link. At the very least your polling rate for "Bytes at port" should be greater than the latency timer setting if the expected transfer is less than the buffer size. (shorten the timer )

Where is the database connection for a mobile site?

I have a Flash mobile site that I didn't create, but need to edit. On clicking the submit button it checks that the login & password are in a SQL database. The problem is, I can't find the method that runs a query on the database or where the database is even connected. I've tried searching through the code for words like "SQL", "database", and "connection" without success. I stepped through the code where I find a call to method "super", but then it goes back to the original method and then the user is logged in. Can someone explain where the call to the database is?
Other things I'd like to know are: Where is the SQL Connection? In the main (non-mobile site), there is a web.config with a line that says

You are looking for an event handler for the TechEvent.LOGIN_USER event.
Coding style looks similar to a SWIZ style framework, in which case, the event handlers could be defined using metadata [EventHandler] or [Mediate] tags, but could just be a plain simple .addEventListener(TectEvent.LOGIN_USER,fn); declaration earlier on.
Either way, this is what has happened:
1. User enters uname and password, then clicks button
2. Button click handler populates the techController with relevant values then dispatches an event to let the world know it has done so
3. The event handler checks the techController and makes the login call
4. Some time later, the server will respond and trigger another event that the app can respond to

Calculating motion rate for given line scan rate

Dear friends,
I need to understand the calculation of motion rate for given line scan rate.
i have line-scan camera connected to servo motor.
i know that the line-scan camera can run at 7.2 khz line rate (7200 lines in 1 second).
Each pixel need to be 0.1mm (in the direction of motion). 10 lines of scanning is 1mm.
i need to scan image of object that its length is 400mm (0.1mm*4000lines)
First, the Conveyor stop, the object that i need to test with the linescan camera is now 5cm from the camera.
i want that the servo motor will move the conveyor for 45cm and stop.
(the conveyor accellerate, move const speed, decellerate, stop. the line scan camera connected to 10khz encoder for each revolution)
Now i'm getting lost with the calculation.....
if 1pixel = 0.1mm , then i need the conveyor belt be able to move 0.1mm for each pulse of the encoder???
i want that the servo motor will rotate chain (like the attached image),
but i dont know how i need to calculate the gear diameter, the chain pitch, etc...
and specially, how this parameters influence the line scan rate, and what is the role of the encoder here...

It sounds like you are mixing two methods of using a line scan camera.
The first method is to run the camera at a fixed speed. If the speed of your belt is constant, this can work okay. To calculate the desired speed, let B=belt speed (mm/sec), L=line rate (lines/sec), R=mm/line (0.1mm/line in your case)
B = L / R This equation can be rearranged to calculate any of the quantities.
The second method is to use an encoder to trigger each line captured by the camera. In this case, the speed of the belt is not important as long as you don't go too fast for the camera. In this case, you need to know how many mm the belt will travel for each pulse. To calculate this, you would probably measure how far the belt travels during one revolution of the encoder. You should also know the number of encoder pulses per revolution. Dividing distance by pulses gives you distance per pulse. Since you want 0.1 mm/pulse, you would need to adjust either the number of pulses in the encoder or the diameter of the belt roller. If E=encoder pulses and D=belt distance, R = D / E.

TCP connection for DHCP failover frequently are broken in Solaris 10

We have two dhcp servers which are installed in Solaris 10 and set to a failover pair. Currently, we can find that tcp connection for dhcp failover protocol are frequently broken. It looks like that primary dhcp server initiatively send FIN message to secondary one but in general, this tcp connection should always keep alive. On the other hand, the tcp connection can not completely be closed right now which FIN_WAIT_2 status in Primary one and CLOSE_WAIT status in secondary would last for a long time.
Will Solaris 10 cause this fault? Is it a known bug in OS?

Yes, I would really love to fix the fault, but what I would really like is some hints as to how to debug ports under svc control.

Labview basic vis for controlling Newport ESP6000 controller and 3 axis stages

I have looked in Ni.com's development zone and cannot find anybody who
has created or developed Labview code for controlling a ESP6000
Newport controller. Newport provides the basic level dll for use with
Labview. Has anybody developed a good basic LabView VI implementing
these dlls?
Any advice and suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly
appreciated.

This is a library I just quickly put together from what I remember when I used to used the ESP6000 and Unidrive systems - All you need to do is call "Open and Initialise Axes" (note the Australian/UK spelling!) and then home each axis individually, and then call any of the other commands (Move Relative, Move Absolute, Stop, etc) - note: sue to an hardware limitation, you can only home one axis at a time, and that could take a while!
