Dissapearing Items?

I have had this problem for a while now, adding files to the library, closing itunes then coming back and there all gone. But just now i noticed 2 things i bought from the music store are gone. I have looked everywhere but i cant find them. It cost $15 so thats why i am so concerned. So frusterating!!!

Export for PDF and items disapear from the page...

Hello Big Masters,
please give me a solution to the fact that:
I lose some items (a text box and a graphic) at the export from Indesign to PDF.
-The file is 6 pages long. Simple. Some text and small pictures.
-The missing items are close to the right bottom of the page. It is allways on the same page. In my case on the last page.
-The missing item is exactly the same like some others. (it is like an object I could put on master page, but I wanted only to COPY/ PASTE IN PLACE)
-I tried countless solutions, but no one passed successfully. I tried to ungroup/regroup (it is an object made of letters and outlined letters), I tried to outline all of the object, I tried recopy the object, I tried to put the page in a different order (thinking that the bug always came on the last page), I closed down indesign, I tried different PDF quality options, I tried renaming and overwriting, I checked all the layers (they are all printable). NOTHING worked.
I start worring about the quality of Indesign, that I thought being the perfect software for multipage layouts, but I experienced this bug that wasted me 2 hours. In the researches for solutions I also found out that more problems are ahead in big ePubs or when you bring old big files, with Masterpages, it seems that is a real mess what comes out.
Do you experience these troubles with Bermuda-effect in Indesign (dissapearing items surprisingly unexpected...)???

But Still didn't get the bug solved.
The first pic as you see, is from ID before I export to PDF
and the last image is the crazy pdf file, I am getting.
If the adobe guys need my file for investigation, I can send it to them somehow.
But then again, I got a compromise solution by putting the "missing" object on a separate masterpage.

Need Logic to retain the spaces of disappeared UI Elements

hi,
i have certain UI elements on the layout ,during the execution these UI elements will disappear .So once they disappeared i need those UI elements spaces to be retain there ,instead those spaces are replaced by the other UI elements.

HI Ganesh,
You will have to be clever here, that you place the dissapearing items either last or in group boxes UI elements so that when they VANISH on being made invisible rest of the layout remains intact.
Example If you are using the MatrixLayout never make the element to be Hidden as MatrixHeadData.
Or other ways to achieve this effect would be Dynamic programing , Creating InvisibleElement etc.

Items dissapear from Recycle Bin

Hi, currently I'm facing a problem in my farm, I've detected that items which are sent to first stage Recycle bin dissapears from Recycle bin and farm at some time. These items are not being stored the number of days that has
been configured in CA (30 days by default). I have checked the configuration of the farm and I see that all is correct, also I checked the size of the Recycle Bin in order to revise if these could be the problem, but no lucky.
I checked the timer job, but this it was configured in order to clean the files on Sudany, and I detected that files that wew in Recycle Bin were deleted on Friday.
Anyone has any clue about this problem?

According to your post, my understanding is that that Items disappeared from Recycle Bin.
If a deleted document does not fit in the second stage recycle bin, it skips that stage and SharePoint automatically deletes it. It happens if the size of the document is bigger than the specified second stage recycle bin storage space size.
If you try to find an item in the recycle bin and fail to locate it then you need to verify the following :
The contents in the      recycle bin are driven by the access control. The user who has deleted the      content will be able to see the content in the recycle bin. Other users
will not be able to see the items in the recycle bin.
If you have deleted a      top level item like a folder or a list, and try to find a document available      at an inner location, then the item will not be viewable. By default the
Recycle bin shows the top level content and does not have the capability      to show the items in a tree structure or drill down mode.
The contents in the      recycle bin contains only the items within the site. A deleted site is      outside the scope of the Recycle bin and is not available for deletion.
The recycle bin contains      the items for a predefined period which can be set from the Web      Application –> General Settings. if the thresh hold is crossed, the      item
is deleted permanently.
In addition, Recycle Bin cannot remove items automatically, someone should have deleted them.
You can create an Event Receiver to response only when an item is being deleted or an item has been deleted, and then log the user who delete the post and the time he delete the post. Please refer to

Stacked item groups dissapear on tab page when navigating within block (designer)

Hi ,
I have this strange problem with the following.
My designer generated form looks like this (simplified):

Now when mouse navigate from 'ITEM_BLOCK1' to one of the buttons below, the Item Groups 'STACKEDIG1' 'STACKEDIG1' dissapear. The same thing occurs when I navigate to the buttons by using 'TAB' or 'shift-TAB'. 'STACKEDIG1' and 'STACKEDIG2' are on canvas2 and 'ITEM_BLOCK1' and 'BUTTON' 1+2 are on canvas1. I cannot seem to find any event on which I can influence this behaviour. The code for eventually displaying the stacked items I already have (i.e. SHOW_VIEW('STACKEDIG_VIEW')). But I cannot find the moment for calling the SHOW_VIEW built-in.
Can anybody help.

Dissapearing Menubar Items

Hi all
My Wife and I have a seperate account each on my Mac. We have both been having this problem for a couple of months now. Every now and then if we Restart or Log out/in again our menubar items such as the time, Bluetooth, Keychain screen lock, Display resolution etc, etc, dissapear without any obvious cause. We have to go into Sys Prefs etc. and switch on the various options again to get the items back again. Can anyone throw any light on what might be causing this?

In addition to Michael's suggestions:
1. Did you install a hacked version of Front Row on the Mac in question? If so, see my "Uninstalling the Front Row hack" FAQ.
2. If you have any third-party menu bar extras installed — the icons on the right side of the menu bar other than the Spotlight icon — then one of these may be problematic. Often they're launched as Startup or Login items. If an errant Startup or Login Item is the cause, my "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem. Item details dissapearing

        I am facing a strange problem at the time of executing the sales order .                                                                                After giving the material number and quantity at item level and before saving the sales order, the item details are dissapearing.
        The same is happening for all sales documents like IN ,QT,OR ,CS etc.
     Please give me the solution for this and please tell me what might be the reasons.
Note:I have maintained the material entry type as blank in vov8 of all sales document types.

When I delete an item it dissapears, but does not show up in or go to Trash?

Hello,
When I delete an item it does not go to or show up in trash. I like to have the option of retrieving from Trash if needed and empty trash when I'm sure I don't need the file etc.
So when I choose to move something to Trash I get this message: "This item will be deleted immediately. You can’t undo this action."

Note: Finder > Preferences > Advanced > Empty Trash Securely is Not ticked/ Not selected.
Can anyone help please?
I want to be able to send files etc to Trash and choose myself when I empty/delete Trash.

Having upgraded to 4. I have lost my bookmark toolbar items. If I tick/untick bookmark toolbar in view/toolbrs the space appears/dissapears but not on the items in that list show

the list of items is still there when I go to the bookmarks dropdown

Thank you, thank you! My toolbar setup -- while not exactly the same as yours -- follows some of the similar concepts, and as soon as I upgraded to 31 I encountered exactly the same frustrating flakiness with the row holding my Boomarks Toolbar items. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out solutions to these things, but this one had me stumped. Since the problem was persisting when I completely disabled Classic Theme Restorer I never thought of seeking a fix there, but the CTR setting you identified is what allowed my tweaking to finally bear fruit.
This is clearly a bug in 31. No matter *where* you put the bookmarks toolbar items (assuming there is no flexible space or anything else "interfering," they should *not* disappear and collapse into a single-button item in the right-hand drop-down. For me, every time I would open a new tab the row of bookmarks would appear for a split second and then disappear "into" that button. Without going into details, before reading your solution I was able to make them remain visible via a setup where there was a blank toolbar sitting above them. But the wasted space was unacceptable.

After install task bar items have dissapeared

Since updating Firefox to Version 8, as the updated version loaded my task ber icons have lost the associations and now appear as a whie unknown file typr icon.

Understand the problem is your Windows 7 icons are messed up at least for MS Office, view is from selecting "All programs" from the Windows Start. It seems a bit far-fetched that Firefox would have changed icons on other applications, and to have dropped all of them in Office at once. If I understand correctly the Office applications all work and show up separately on the Windows Task Bar, but they have a generic application icon. Does it affect more than Office. Does this loss of the correct icon affect programs directly on the Start Menu and/or desk top and/or the Quick Launch.
It's been 4 days since you first posted. If you haven't rebooted your system since you had the problem, would you try that.

Separate problem, looks to me like you are pinning tasks to Windows Task Bar, because Windows 7 hid the Quick Launch. You can still use Quick Launch and have folders within it.

If you don't like the order applications open up on the Windows Task Bar you can drag to rearrange the order. Items within the Quick Launch can be sorted via context menu.

Items in Dock dissapearing

Why do some of the Apps in my Docl sometimes just dissapear?
I sometimes have to re-install them for no reason.

In addition to TD's advice, any application that is already placed in the dock can be, accidentally or purposely, dragged off the dock to disappear in a puff of smoke. The application, however, will still reside in the Applications folder and will reappear in the Dock the next time it is launched. Follow TD's advice to keep it in the Dock thereafter…

Flex 3 Item renderer in List dissapear and shifted place

I successfully added ItemRenderer in my List but whenever I scroll down to the bottom and scroll up again. The ItemRenderer in the List would be either gone or shifted places.
I have search up on possible solution but they doesn't seen like working. I tried to put dataChange=”validateNow()” in the ItemRenderer but it doesn't work. I read something about useVirtualLayout="false" but it seen like my List doesn't have useVirtualLayout ?

...sorry folks Im a newbie,
I use mx2004 I am helping a charity re-do their website and keep the current one up to date.
I started to insert library items into the existing site pages ( which are all table based ) some of the pages seem to be fine
but other ones are showing a blank page when i preview them .
Firefox is the only browser that it seems to be ok in, IE Opera Safari and chrome are showing nothing
except IE which shows thr background colour
Ive got a gut feeling Ive inserted the LBI in the wrong place or something

Layout items dissapeared and many items in head section

Hi all, in one of my sites, most of my pages no longer show anything in the layout view. If I preview the page, it looks as it should but when I go back to the layout tab there's nothing there.
Also there are now heaps of things in the head section of the affected pages. What have a done to cause this and how can I fix it?

Thanks guys, here's a bit more info.
This is what the layout view of the home page looks like:
And this is the layout view of one of the pages that isn't working properly looks like: Notice the difference in head items and the fact that there is nothing to see/change in the layout section.
A few days ago they were all working properly and I haven't changed anything to make this happen so no sure whats happening? 3 out of the 4 pages are all doing the same thing, not showing anything in the layout section and having tons of items in the head section.
They all work perfectly online, it's just I cant see any layout items in Golive.
How can I fix this so that I can edit the affected pages again?

Items dissapeared from iTunes, still on iPhone

Three purchases made on Dec 2007 (audiobooks) suddenly disappeared from iTunes (ver 9.0) Library. They are still on my iPhone 3Gs. I tried SYNC many times, Transfer purchases, etc but nothing works. Any idea on how to restore those files from the iPhone to iTunes? I even have copy of the original receipt from when I purchased those audio books at the iTunes store.

Since the tracks were still on my iPhone, I tried to force a transfer by selecting TRANSFER FROM IPHONE. That did not work, because in iTunes I had a "phantom" reference, that is the album tag info pointing to nowhere. So I removed those tracks from my iTunes library and then selected TRANSFER PURCHASES FROM IPHONE. That worked. the tracks were transferred from iPhone to iTunes .
In my case this specific album is no longer for sale in iTunes stre so not sure that had anything to do with it.
And right now I am running a backup of my iTunes purchases... something I never did in 4 years
