Dissapearing Videos

Hi all
Hope I'm posting in the right place.
I recently upgraded to the 8900 which I think is a great phone. Earlier today I added nusic videos in AVI format using the mass storage mode, and saved them in the video folder. All worked perfectly until I added one more then they dissapered from my phones videos in the media section (they were still in the video folder when i reconnected using the mass starage. I deleted all and reloaded..... bingo they were there again, I went to work showed of my new phone the quality of videos wowed many then bang they were gone again.
What stupid simple thing am I doing wrong.

Battery and reformatting is a hammer. Try to use an easier way. All these folders should be re-indexed after you add something to the card. To simplify the process BB8900 adds the hidden files in each folder, the name is pretty obvious, you will figure it out yourself. These files are hidden, keep that in mind. Then next. Nobody was able to answer me about limitations for the directory structure and file names, but they definitely exist. For example, I suspect, that the name can't be longer than nn symbols, it can't consist of the language that is not installed on the device, etc. So I spent my very expensive time to test it, because the answer is impossible to find. It seems like sometimes when you add a new file to the directory, which name is longer than others, the directory can't be re-indexed, and the indexing process when you just start the device is canceled. The rest of the collection is invisible, but it's browsable anyway. Deleting these BB index files and this file with the long name helps to restore the whole collection. Next, when you restart your BB8900 you can Media icon, then Explore, the files will be accessible even if they are not indexed. Next, after each reboot the entire media library should be reindexed. If you open Media you will see the scroll bar moving to the right with the word "Scanning". After the entire lib is scanned it should be re-indexed in the device and sometimes it takes a very long time to do that, especially if the folders don't have BB*.* files with the cached index info. So be patient. As soon as the lib is indexed, you can start using any file as a Ring for messages, for phone calls, for Customized Caller IDs, etc. Very tasty!

Dissapeared videos & Mp3 files

Today dissapeared videos & Mp3 files in Video and Music App, files are available only via File Commander and Downloads, - no music- no content available and the same is in Video App -no items, empty folders.
I've been using Lolipop for 2 moths, not any other problem have detected yet.
Any ideas to solve it?

Everytime i go 'full screen' with a video, a red F pops up in the bottom toolbar (by windows flag) then dissapears when I exit...?

I was watching a YouTube video and as I pressed the button to go full screen I saw a square pop up in the bottom taskbar, like where the internet explorer and spotify icons are at the bottom of my screen, by the Windows start button. When I exited the video it dissapeared, so it was only up when i was full screen, it was never up there long enough for me to click on it. It was all red except for an italic f, which was white. After I watched a couple more videos, an actual pop up...popped up and said it had a X and said that windows had some kind of run time issue. I x-ed out of that, did'nt press OK.
I had read some things about the McAffee Security Scan Plus (which had installed with my adobe, just reinstalled it today....actually just got firefox today too-google chrome had not been working right for a while) and I decided to un-install that and it didn't stop the problem. I am wondering if this is something I should worry about? I'm not sure what it is and it has never appeared before. Please help!

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Replace with after effects composition problem, video dissapears

Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with premiere's cs5 "replace with after effects composition" command. Every time I try doing it I get just a new comp made in after effects but no files so the screen is just black without content.
Then the video in premiere dissapears too and the "file" in the timeline turns a pink color.
Any ideas about whats going on here? thanks in advance.

Grant, I did figure it out (and felt rather silly when I did). You have to select all your files from the Project portion of AE and drag them into the Render segment - bottom left corner of your AfterEffects screen - in order for them to play. I guess I should have come back to the forum and reported once I got it working, so everyone would know that there's nothing wrong with Adobe. Once you do that, there are all sorts of super-cool things you can do with a slide show for video presentation. I did decide to put it into Windows Media Play and convert to MPEG before uploading to the internet, however, because it reduced the size to roughly 15% of AVI. I preserved AVI for DVD because of quality, which is far better.

VIdeos dissapearing from PC

Good morning...
I syncced up some movies and music after 2.0. as most people.
Well, since then, the movies are still on my iphone, but it deleted 3 of the movies from my PC... Now when it syncs, it says not found.
The videos are still on the phone... Is there any way to make sure those get back on my PC? How do they just dissapear? im the only person with access to that PC.

I've found when iTunes syncs the videos (I'm assuming they were rented) it will only let you keep them in one place. It takes forever moving them back and forth between the iPhone and computer AND you need access to the internet.
It should be as simple as connecting your iPhone, click on it's icon in iTunes, going to the video tab and moving it back to your desktop.
The other option if they don't appear is to check the "Manually manage music and videos" at the bottom of the summary tab, and the files should appear in the tree under your iPhone on the left hand side. At that point you should be able to move, delete, etc.
One other new change with rented movies is that it seems like once that 24 hour period has started and is up (whether on your desktop or iPhone) they are deleted. Used to be they would stay there until they were replaced or manually deleted.

Synchronized my iPhone3GS and compass and video dissapeared

I had a iPhone 3G, when I got my new 3GS and synch. it with my mac the compass and video dissapeared. What did I do wrong and How can I corredt it.

The apps added by the sync may have pushed some built-in apps to another screen.

Video podcasts download - then dissapear!

I am running iTunes 10.5.2.11 and Windows XP Pro... This issue just started recently, I believe when I upgraded my iPad to IOS 5.
Any time I try to download any video podcast in iTunes on my computer, it begins downloading, then finishes and says "done", then when I check my podcasts, it's not there, and it is gone from the downloads list. What's up with that?

Try installing the latest version of quicktime. I have been fighting this issue for several days after re-installing my computer from the ground up. I have read websites, forums, downloaded and paid for RegCure, and contacted support. In the moment before I demoilished my computer I had the epiphany to check quicktime. Once I downloaded the latest version and it associatted the files to quicktime they now show up.

Videos dissapearing?

Hello everyone. I had some videos on my ipod about a day or two ago. Just for the record, i havent changed any settings. I went to watch a few this morning and noticed they werent on my ipod anymore. I havent unchecked them or anything like that, but i did sync the ipod early this morning. Just curious as to what might have happened....
It was a couple of tv shows from itunes for those who are wondering...

You may have set your iPod to sync only unwatched episodes.
Connect your iPod, then when the summary screen appears click on the TV shows tab.
Change the preference to what suits you best.

When i import .avi, it only shows me the audio and the video dissapears

What video codec does the avi file use?
Where did the file come from? Screen recording software? A Camera?
Does the avi file play normally in other software?

Y suddenly some of my games the sounds dissapear but for videos still have sound. Pls advice pls. Txs.

Unable to play downloaded video

When trying to play downloaded file with itunes I get a message that itunes has experianced an error and needs to shut down ( reboot - no help ).
An additionl message I recieve is that an instruction an 0X00000000 to read 0X00000000, that memory cant be read. When trying to play the file with the quicktime player I get a message from microsoft C ++ about a bufferover run and the program must terminate.
After any of these errors my task bar totally dissapears from my desktop ( no, hitting the windows key dosent get it back ).
If I dont acknoldge these errors quickly by pressing the OK button on the error windows my whole system will auto reset. After reboot I get the standard "This system has recovered......yada,yada,yada
To cover the obviouis quickly. Yes, I have the latest version of itunes and quicktime installed ( uninstalled and reinstalled twice, both packaged and stand alone ).
All video and audio and system drivers are up to date.
I do have admin priviliges on this PC. I only have 1 machine authorized to run downloaded content ( this one).
And my OS does currently have all patches and updates installed. ( see some do actully go thru the hoops of CS before firing off an email ).
This is my first expericance using itunes and am very put off by the whole thing at this point.

I am sorry you failed to read my original email which I will attach to the
end of this reply. The file I bought DID completly download, but will NOT
play !!!!!! I have tried to " check for purcheses" on my own before
recieving the totally assinine attempt at customer service. Please kindly
reread my original complaint in full, forward it to someone who can do more
than send me a pre-fab message and solve my issue ASAP.
I cant understand how you determined the bought file was still in my
download que when it was not. Would it help if all further corrospondence
was in Indian ?
This will be one "service" I will never be using again

Video not playing on ipod

i have many videos on my ipod including ones bought from itunes and ones that i magically put on myself. the other day my video was playing perfectly. then today i tried to play a tv show that i got off of itunes and it wont play. the play icon shows up in the corner of the screen for a second then dissapears and the screen is left black (like the video is loading) then my ipod proceeds to freeze when i hit any button. it is only with the tv show that i just got. all other videos are working fine except that show(even episodes i had prior to today) i thought that the update would help but it didnt. i havent had the same problem as everyone else though with it freezing after 30 seconds. why wont it work?

Why can I not get a video downloader?? They dissappear and or don't show up after selecting them fromthe add on page??

I had a simple easy downloader on my fox page it left a green arrow on the bar for downloads, all I needed to do was click on it and pick the type i wanted (mp3 or flv etc) but youtube was giving me ahard time when I tryed to download more then one video, I would get all the same ones as the first one, so i tryed a different downloader it showed a video reel as it's symbol and it seemed to work but then I accedently clicked on something and it dissapeared. Now whenever i go to the add-ons to get one it says I's been done succsessfully but doesn't show up once I get back to my home page???Can you help fix this issue please!!

IPod touch music dissapears from album view and other things

I'm honestly suprised to the fact that my old iPod video works better on this factor than the iPod touch I upgraded to.
My problem lies in the fact of syncing makes my iPod decide certain things stay on Album view and dissapear from it. To give an example:
Before sync - Album of Disneyland Music is still together on album view and nothing has vanished.
Add in another song to the compilation of music on the album for easy listening.
Sync iPod
Album of Disneyland music has vanished completely and only the new song added in is viewable in the album listing.
Don't think that it's gone competely. I've searched and the music is actually in the iPod, just not in the albums listings. It's everywhere else listings on the iPod.
This has irked me ever since I bought the thing since another issue that just drives me up the wall. With my iPod video if I listed the music under an album it'd be sorted into the album with no problem. With the iPod touch however if ONE thing is off it gets sorted into its own lisiting on the Album view even though it shares the same Album title with another song. Example:
Old music that doesn't get recognized has to have information added in
Albums are correct
Artists are correct
Sync iPod
Album listing has multiple listings from the same album with the artists as its sorting spot. (or if it even showed up at all...)
I've tried multiple times to fix this and nothing works. (and i've checked and unchecked sort by album artist, no dice.) I attempted to contact an iTunes help as it was partly on the program's fault, the helper didn't understand what I was talking about. Can anyone help me here?
and no I can't resort to my iPod video as I've killed the selection middle button thanks to a game. That and it also had an issue with connecting and I kept having to refresh it.

I looked in Compilations and the album that's vanished from Album view isn't in there. I checked via Artist view and the songs are there so the music is in the iPod but it's being a little wise sucker and not showing me the album in the Album view.
I fear for the videos I have to put on my iPod for class reference today...
