Distinguish Infoobject Text according to an attribute

Hi experts,
I have an infoobject named ZMATX(Material number).I extract text data from 4 different SAP R/3 and use 0MATERIAL_TEXT datasource.There are common material numbers for these systems however texts are different.I want to distinguish texts according to an attribute(e.g.source system).
Of course, creating an ODS can solve my problem.However, i do not want to read data for every material one by one and do not want to store text data in an infocube.
I am looking forward your recommendations,

When i added an compounding attribute i got error messages below.
- (Message id : R7577 ) InfoObject ZMATX or an InfoObject with reference to this objects is still being used in InfoCubes or ODS objects that contain data.
- (Message id : R7575) The compound or referencing of characteristic &V1 was changed.
- (Message id : R7578) Diagnosis : InfoObject ZMATX should be changed. InfoCube ZXXX, in which this InfoObject is still being used, still contains data however.
How can i solve this problem without deleting data from any cube?

I soloved the problem. I can input the attribute-only char directly in the text box instead of choosing from list of infoobjects, but I still can't find the char in infoobject selection dialog even using search.

How to translate the text according the SAP logon

Hi Friends,
I have a report, in the selection screen have 4 radio buttons which characters are displaying in German language , if logon in DE. But not populating in other language (English, French , Italian etc ).
Whenever SAP login in u201CENu201D , is displaying an Information message u201CUntranslated texts from master language DE wi also be displayedu201D.
Please guide me how to translate the text according the SAP logon.
in GOTO-> Translation -> Original language "DE" and traget language is empty.

Translation -> ABAP Objects -> Short texts, select object type S3 and either REPT or SCRT, probably REPT since it's a selection screen.

How to split text according to the textfield size

Hi, its very urgent if anybody can help me out..... i am
working on an e-learning course where all the text is coming
through XML. Client is very specific about not to use scrollbar.
They want to use more and back buttons to show the rest of the text
(they dont want the text to be scrolled either). For that I created
a function to part the text according to the textfield height in an
array. (one important point is that user can change font type, font

I am sorry for not being able to convey my problem....
actually problem is not that code is not recognizing the tags but
the problem is.... let me explain, suppose there is a tag <b>
and </b> in xml..... code split the text so it split
<b> and </b> too and stored it in an array.... then it
adds the text i.e. This is a <b> sample </b> text.....
til the textheight of the textfield is less than the ._height of
hte textfield and finally i have a string that fits in the
textfield perfectly and when the parted text is assigned to the
textfield it recognize the tag and make that bunch of words or
sentence bold and that creates the problem.... i hope that this
time it is more clearer....

InfoObject Text not displaying in BPS Web

Hi Gurus,
We are using a custom InfoObject attribute only characteristics (Only text table). We are using this object in BPS planning. When we launch the BPS_Web and drilldown on this Object, it just shows us the technical value, not the text. We would like the drilldown to show only text. I tried to change the Business Explorer properties for display 'Text'. However it is not helping us.
Please let me know if you have encountered any issues?

Check to see if the table- RSDCHABAS has the entries for the custom infoobject
Short text exists = X
Med-length exists = X
Long text exists = X
populated..
In reply to my previous posts are the std.business content iobjects able to display TEXTS needed??

Calling proxy according to jms attribute in Dynamic Configuration

Hello,
I have jms to proxy integration. I defined additional jms parameters in Adapter -Specific Message Attribute in JMS senderadapter. And I can retrieve this field in dynamics configuration in SXMB_MONI. Process should be continued as such:
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 1, proxy should be called for invoice,
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 2, proxy should be called for Claims.
How can i do it?

Thanks for your reply, but i think so that i misstold. I mean that i have one jms queue in ibm websphere mq. In this queue exist multiple messsage format. I defined a addtional jms message attribut in jms sender adapters in PI. I have two jms sender adapters.
According to this additional jms message properties should be called different proxy:
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 1, proxy should be called for invoice,
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 2, proxy should be called for Claims.
Also this configuration should be done in jms sender adapter.

Copying infoobject text into a second language key

Hi all,
I need to manage material text in both IT and EN language key. Some material codes are generated in ECC only in IT, some other in both languages.
Since reporting is in any case required in english, I wish to set up something which is aimed to copy description created in IT into EN language key. This is aimed to avoid report displaying the code in all occurrences text in EN is not mainteined.
Example:
Material Code A100: text IT = Materiale A text EN = Material A
Material Code B100: text IT = Materiale B text EN = not maintained
in this case I wish to copy text Materiale B also into the language key EN.
I remember there is a standard program to manage these situations in ECC HR and I was wondering if there is something similar in BI.

I'm not talking about translating Infoobject decription.
I need to have in both languages the text of an infoobject members.
For istance, considering 0MATERIAL, I need to have in both languages all 1000 material codes managed in the company although in ECC they created description in english only for 600 codes and description in italian for all 1000 codes.

I am interested to extract the numbers which have some particular text( ex:N/A) embedded in that text. With this, I am able to get 17 and 21. But, number 19 is also coming, though it does not has N/A in it. I mean, as there is N/A outside the box but before next question number, it appears like it is also associated with number 19.

How to get the real texts according to Standard Text Key maintained in CA10

Hi ;
I have a requirement to fetch the standard text based on the standard text key which is maintained by CA10.
is there any direct way to get those texts without giving 'TEXT NAME', 'TEXT ID' and 'TEXT OBJECT' but just by the standard key?

Hi Varma,
Even if you want to personalise the Text also you can do without checking the DICTREF checkbox. Dirctly you can give the text in the Text elements by using the Menu GOTO -> Text Elemetns -> Selection Texts.

Change image according to selected attribute

I know there is lot of forum post around.
I still haven't managed to get that sorted.
I have created a product - I have set it up and it show nice big pciture.
In attributes, I have created colors : 4 images of the same product ( diffrent color ofc )
In Site Mangeer - Module templates - Shop - Individual Product -Large
I have included
               {tag_attributes}
Which works fine ofc - So on my page i see the product - dropdown box for the colors.

Loaded Infoobject Text and it returned all "#"

Hi BW guys,
I encountered a strange text issue.
In BW QA envoriment all the Text Datasources without a language key loaded all text as "#" in PSA. Meanwhile, the datasource with language key works well. In ECC QA side I could extract correct text wiht RSA3.
All the datasources work fine in BW DEV. Moreover, I had checked respective RFC desitinations in BW QA and DEV. They're same in my perspective.I had requested my basis to check the packages and add-on.
Do you have any ideas about this issue?

Ask your basis to install required language packages and also check the RFC for Unicode option.Check the below doc.

How can Highlight a text item with Visual Attributes

I have an emp_dept_date block and in that block there are item by the name of to_dates in tabular form there are many dates display when user double click on the current date or any date it show the data of that date in the next block. i want to create a (when button pressed) in my Control Block that when button press the current date color changed automatically so for that what should i wirte in when button pressed.

this is for second item in a block

(emp_dept_date) is block name
(to_date & daily_id) is an item name
date is an visual attribute name which we create our self to define a color we want to change for the items we want to.
these both visual attributes will solve the when we click when button pressed in that change the color of the items in the block you want to change

Problems in changing the text of the id attribute of the components

Does anyone have any way to adjust the exchange component of the ADF id?
I am making an example system which has two pages and has a flow (control flow). The following problem is happening, she was with them at work and then I take the test to change the id of a text label to another did not work anymore after that my flow, it seems that she is no longer seeing this page.
NOTE: also edited the file. Java page and checked the pageDef it too.
Has anyone managed to change the id and leave the page 100%

Your question is not clear, at least I don't understand it.
What do you mean by ...exchange component of the ADF idWhen you open the page in jdev, switch to source mode: do you see any errors or warnings (check the right hand gutter for red or orange marks)?
Which jdev version do you use?
Changing the id of a component works for me as long as the id is not used elsewhere on the page (e.g. as ppr target).

Categorizing Text and then Extracting Text According to Categories?

Hi,
I have Acrobat Pro (Windows Visa) and, in a single PDF file would like to:
- as I'm reading the PDF I'd like to be able to highlight text and assign it to one or more category that I've defined (e.g., topic A, topic B, etc.)
- I'd then like to extract all text associated with particular categories and concatenate/export this text -- or just view it in a list of comments (e.g. extract all pieces of text that I've tagged as being related to 'topic A'.)
Actually, if there's *any* text software/plug-in to Acrobat or MS-Word that could do this I'd love to hear about it:
- read text
- highlight it and assign it to one or more category
- then extract all text associated with particular categories
