Distorted picture odd colors - What is my problem?

In viewing some movies that have the extension .wmv it is like viewing cable channels I don't subscribe to. The picture is distorted and the colors are all wrong. The sound is ok.
I have installed Flip4Mac.
Are there particular preferences I need to set?

Sorry. You get what you pay to get.
Many WMP formats and files are poorly encoded (or worse, illegal copies of copy right protected work).
Some tips:
Don't try to enlarge the viewer. This only introduces artifacts and makes viewing even worse than it was at normal playback size.
If you're trying to view HD content pick the smallest dimension size offered. Larger dimensions may require more "oomph" than your machine can handle.
The new agreement from Microsoft and Flip4Mac (and the end of WMP on Mac's) may improve over the years.
All is new again and everyone has to learn new tricks.

What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down?

When I try to printe a photo from my Pictures library it says printer won't print, is not connected Etc. Yet if I ask it to print a document it does fine. What is the problem?

I have a number of photos in my picture library. The printer is a Dell V510 series and was purchased last June with a new computer. It tells me to connect USB, it is and several other things which are all connected. In my picture library are some printed documents. When I ask it to print them it does. Also when I received a picture by email or download my camera I never know where it is going to put the picture. I never had a problem with my Windows XP however Windows 7 doesn't seem to do what I want it to. The instructions that came with it are almost useless. Yes, as long as it is words, but when I want to do a picture it refuses. The pictures library is part of Window 7. The help program just said to be sure it was connected, power was on to it, unplug and replug, then restart my computer. I did all that. I prints photos that are in other programs. When I first started with 7 I didn't understand how it worked and some pictures were posted in documents. Those pictures print. Windows 7 seems to put the pictures where ever it wants them. I have Picasso on my computer and it doesn't pick up any of the pictures in the pictures library. So I still can't get Firefox to print pictures.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

You may want to read this I imported a mix of color and black and white raw files but lightroom changed all the black and white file to color?
The Black and white you see is just the cameras representation of the "raw" pixel information straight from the sensor. The RAW file format has yet to undergo demosaicing, and so it contains just one red, green, or blue value at each pixel location.
Lightroom, or any other RAW processor, doesn't recognize the in-camera processing because it is unique to the camera.

There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.

Why does it state that the camera is compatible with "10.4.11, 10.5.8..."? Does that mean that anything between 4.11 and 5.8 is incompatible???
BTW, I tried downloading the 10.5.8 combo update recently and got an error message that the update was "corrupted" after it was all downloaded, so I was not able to install that.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.
