Distorted video and buzzing sound on DVD playb

Okay.. here is the problem:
I connected the front panel of the Audigy 2 ZS platinum with an RCA cable to audio out of my DVD player, and the video out from the DVD player to the TV. The video plays okay until I plug the audio out from DVD into the I/O panel aux in, when the video gets distorted and there is a low pithed broadband buzzing kind out sound from the speakers (in addition to the sound from the DVD).
I have winXP SP2, Toshiba progressi've DVD player.
I don't see why that should happen. Pleae advice.
Thanks,
Mohit.

  • Video and app sound on mute

My apps, videos and internet are on mute when played straight from my iphone 4S.  The sound is on when I play them through auxiliary cable.  Does anyone know how can I turn on the sound so it plays without the aux cable?

  • Import video and audio from a dvd into FCP

Is there an easier way to import video and audio into Final Cut Pro - I am playing it on a DVD player and making a digital tape of it. Then logging and capturing it into FCP.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Yes, there are a few ways that are faster. Have a look at this thread http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=-1&messageID=3465691
You could use software, such as "streamclip", or import by plugging your camera into your capture device and hooking your capture device into your computer and capturing by non-controllable device settings.

  • Metallic plinking and buzzing sounds

I'm hearing an occasional metallic "plink" sound from the area of the
left grill on my Mac Book. I can hear the fan noise and what sounds like
a very faint, pulsating buzzing noise that sounds like the disk drive. The
plink is quiet, but easily heard and the buzzing is faint, but is a concern
because I hear it all the time, even when there is no disk activity. For
lack of a better way to describe it, it sounds like noisy ball bearings.
I'm worried that the plinking and continuous buzzing may indicate a
disk problem. Is there any way for me to check this? I'd rather not
migrate everything from my iMac onto the Mac Book until I'm sure
    I know what's happening.
My system has the upgraded 100GB 7200 RPM disk.
    Any suggestions much appreciated.

Some hard disk drives are generating these plinking sounds when the heads are parked in a safe position. This parking operation is initiiated by the drive itself after a period of inactivity. The auto park function has nothing to do with Apple's motion sensor, it's something which is integrated in the drive itself.

  • Video and data on same DVD

Hi. I've heard it is possible to mix a standard video DVD with a DVD that has data on it. (Mulitmodal? DVD) Basically, you create a DVD with the TS folders for both audio and video. In addition, on the root directory, you can create a folder that has data on it. So if you right click and choose open, you can see the files.
I can see doing this through some of the more sophisticated authoring programs, but I love a few of the templates iDVD has. So my question is, can I create this format with iDVD? Maybe author to a virtual disk, add my data, then use Toast to actually burn the DVD?
    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Mark

You'll be happy to find out that iDVD will handle your challenge without any fancy footwork. The feature you're looking for is DVD-ROM Content, and you'll find an option for that in iDVD (Edit DVD-ROM Content) on the advanced menu.
Naturally, this reduces space for your video productions, but it's a great place for sending the original photos, some background in Word format, or really any electronic file. Only computers can access this data, and they need to do it through Finder on a Mac (PCs shouldn't have any problem either).

  • Video and podcast sound

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the sound on podcasts and app videos? Since I upgraded to 5.0.1 on my iPad 1 the sound isn't working for podcasts, and app tutorials. Sound works fine with Netflix videos. Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?

Found the answer. Just switched the side switch to mute instead of screen rotation  above the sound control under general settings. Yay!

  • Pixelating video and bad sound

Hello all. I work for a student radio station at Penn State. We are trying to convert a VHS recording of a TV program to a MP4 file using Final Cut Pro. We got the video captured and recorded, but it pixelates about once a second. Also, the sound crackles at almost the exact same times. Since none of us really know how to use the program, we are looking for some help on using it. Thanks in advance. If anyone has any questions for me, please ask.

    The VHS sounds fine.
This link is the directions that PSU gives on how to do this. This might help some too.

  • Video and audio files from dvd using FCP

    Hi
Trying to get footage from a dvd using fcp. I can import the clips ok using file >import but they have no audio with them and the audio folder on the dvd is blank...any ideas????????
    cheers

The audio_TS folder is normally blank.
You need to use MPEG Streamclip to get the DVD files to Quicktime.

  • Video and/or sound will not show in Adobe Photoshop 12 for m2ts files.

I have just added Adobe Photoshop 12.  The m2ts videos will either:  1) not show with a black screen and have video; or 2) will show but have video for only 30 seconds.  HELP!  I've read the forums, and I've tried everything I could find as suggested.  Nothing fixes BOTH issues.  I'm ready to return product and go back to 8.0.

Sometimes it pays to munch the video file through the Adobe Media Encoder app, even if it's going to come out in the same format as before.  This app is free and gets installed along with Captivate but you can also download it from the Adobe website.  It seems to make videos compatible with Captivate.

  • Lost special effects sounds from video and no sounds available to reload.

the special effect audio is no longer available to insert into the video.
one of the special effects audio I inserted is no longer playing.

Try doing a reset on the iPhone,
Reset your iPhone by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPhone will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.
Good luck and do report back.
