Distracting blue timeline color in Premiere CC 8.1

How do I change the distracting blue color of the timeline timecode, boundary of a selected panel, and other elements now found in Premiere CC 8.1?  It jumps right off the screen and is not what I want to be looking at when doing any kind of color correction.  There is no obvious Preference available to make a color change.  Who decided that we needed this "neon sign" on our timeline?

Near the top of the "Overview" page for this forum is a feature-request/bug report link. Use that to complain.
There is, unfortunately, no way to change the blue to anything else. This is a feature that I've never heard of ONE request for ... yet was put into place over all the Adobe suite by their overall graphic design team.
And ... they also limited how 'bright' you can set the black-to-charcoal background. So you've less choice/control now than before.

    Try this:
    1)Import the java color:

    2) Set MapViewer background
    mv = new MapViewer(mvURL);
    mv.setDataSourceName(dataSrc);

  • Blue-white colored table rows

    Hi, table design gurus!
I need in blue-white colored table rows. It looks like Table desing in altenating mode. Alternating mode fits my needs except one. This mode restricts read-only tables but I have regular table with editable cells. Well, I have read an article about how to build colorful tables. Ok, I have got a table in a different colors. But neither blue or white color were not found in WDTableCellDesign. How to use blue and white colors for table row background? I should not ovveride CSS using WD Theme Editor. I want to set a color implicitly in java code. Please, help me.
    Any help would be apprecited.

    Hi Alexey,
I have never used it, but there is a property called semanticColor in the TextView of the columns of the table.
Go to the layout of the view. Look in the Outline. There you will find Table -> TableColumn -> Caption + TextView. In the properties of the TextView you will find in the semanticColor.
The semanticColor needs to be linked to an element inside the table in the context. So create a node inside the table with cardinality 1..1 and selection 1..1 and add a (calculated) attribute to the node with the correct type (I don't know this one....it is probably inside "com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions". My guess would be com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.TableCellDesign.
Ones you have linked the cell to the attribute in the node you will have to code the changes in color doing something like this. that will probably be easiest if the attribute is of the calculated kind
In the calculated attibute you return WDTableCellDesign.GOODVALUE_LIGHT or whatever color you want.
    Hope this helps a bit,
    Jeschael

  • I'm using an eMac power cord on an iMac G5 and the screen is a blue tinted color. No true colors are displayed.

I just realized I was using an eMac powercord on my G5 iMac.
Make a difference at all? Does it screw up my computer?
I have a weird screen problem anything to do with this?

I can't see how that would make a difference.  But use the proper power cord for the iMac, if you have it.
To see if this is software or settings related, if you have a way to boot from a different system, such as a Mac OS X installation disk, start up from that other system and see if you still have the "blue tinted color."
If the problem recurs, you should do these two procedures to Reset PRAM and Reset SMU, to see if there is any improvement
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1767
When you do the Reset SMU procedure, if you have been connecting the power cord to an old or over-crowded power strip (surge suppressor), try connecting it to a wall outlet by itself, to see if that makes any difference.
If that does not help, there may be a hardware-related problem.

  • Blue row color is becoming white when the mouse is over the blue rows

    Team,
I am using blue theme. I want to accomplish word wrap in all the columns.
In "Standard, Alternating Row Colors", I have changed the following:
    Column Template 1:
    <td style="padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; border-style: solid;border-width:
    1px 1px 1px 1px;width:90pt;word-wrap: break-word;"#ALIGNMENT#>#COLUMN_VALUE#</td>
    Column Template 2:
    <td style="background-color:#BEE2FD; padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px;
    border-style: solid;border-width: 1px 1px 1px 1px;width:90pt;word-wrap: break-word;"#ALIGNMENT#>#COLUMN_VALUE#</td>
This gave alternate rows white and blue with wrap.
But my blue row color is becoming white when the mouse is over the blue rows. Can any body help?

    I had the "#6CAAD9" in:
Background color for checked row: "#6CAAD9".
I removed that. But still it didn't work. any help?

  • The blue OSX colors gone?

    Hi.
I've just begun with Logic 8. The blue OSX colors are gone and hasn't been there at all!!?? The blue scroll is grey and for example the "save" button is also grey.
    Anybody know this?
    Henrik

    Hi Henrik,
This is the way Logic 8 is!!!
In fact, all of Apple's Pro Apps have had the grey scroll/zoom bars for a while. Logic's GUI and design now seems to fit in with the rest of the Apple Pro Apps...
I found the change in colours, and gui a little bit of a shock after using Logic 5, 6 & 7 - but I quite like it now

  • How Do I Achieve Accurate Color in Premiere CS5?

I am running some color test with my Canon T2i. As you can see below I purchased a color card and when I hold up the card to the screen and compare the color card to my monitor the colors look slightly different.
I have played around with saturation but I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource of where I can learn how to match the color card to what I see in Premiere?
Do I fill the frame with the card and then use RGB Parade Monitor?

There are a few things going on here so I will tryand make, hopefully,  helpful  comments.
First off though... I am not exactly sure what your question is. from what I see you doing.  Its kind of 2 questions.
One is Monitor set up and the other is Color Correction.
You appear to be trying to "match" something you shot to a Color Chart.  Thats not entirely a real world CC  situation.  The color chart you are using is essentially a set up device prior to starting a CC.  It is not really intended to match color for color. eg skin tone and color is not on any Color Chart or Color Bars.
I am also wondering if you are "over thinking" this.
At the end of the day it all about Color correcting "to your eye" ...but then you need to know that your monitor has not taken you down a path of correcting the innacurate set up in the monitor.  Be aware that when you take your "work" out to different monitors, it may look different.  This is a time old issue and will never go away but if  you start from a properly set up monitor..and its displayed on other properly set up monitors...thats about all you can do.
Put another way:  Black, Grey, White  (More important than color)
You want these tones (in a grey scale)  to reproduce on any and every monitor as accurately as possible.
If you ignore the monitor set up (in Component Video) for the moment ( turn it off even) you can easily set up your image to achieve this perfectly by using the WAVEFORM monitor only.  Try that with a Color Bars and see where everything sits. Should be perfect and you will see the logic of bars and the pluges.
If you have a Greyscale chart...shoot it PERFECTLY EXPOSED ...then check that out with a waveform monitor.  The Black , Grey and Whites should sit perfectly on the waveform.
Try a CC on the greyscale chart while watching the wavform as you adjust shdows/ highlights / mids .  LUMA /GAMMA.
Shoot a pure Grey Card  or make one in PPRO (Pure Grey Matte)
Check it out with the vectorscope.  There should be a single point in the scope right in the middle. If it has any points outwards...that means that it is not pure grey but has color content (Chroma)
    Monitors.
The better you have your monitors set up, the easier it is to get something resembling consistency obviously.
I have never used the Sofftware Hardware mentioned but use :  Color Bars, Grey Card Grey Scale  and a color chart combined with waveform and vectorscope to set up my monitors .
It is worth learning everything you can about  using Standard Color Bars ( as produced by Premiere Pro.)  Every chip and Pluge has something to tell you and to aid your monitor set up.   The Pluge set up is really important and very simple to set up if you have the controls on your monitor.
These Bars are also what are used in the field to set up monitors.
The original version of On Location ( DV Rack) had excellent instructions on how to set up a monitor based on Color Bars, Pluges and the Blue Only Mode
I do not know if it is still included in the help files of On Location.  I will find it later and added it into this thread.
Maybe the serious Magicians at Adobe have easier access to the original document and could post it up?
BTW: WIndows 7 has  a very good Monitor Color Management and Set up Tool included ( Advanced Setting)

  • Has a stop marker any function when burning blu-ray discs with Premiere Elements 12?

Stop marker when burning blu-ray discs with Pre 12. Does it works?

    Amiral
    No.
This applies to Premiere Elements any version.
Stop markers placed on the Premiere Elements Timeline destined for burn to Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc are not recognized at playback of that disc using the Blu-ray player.
If you need Blu-ray disc with stop markers, you can export your Premiere Elements Timeline content to an appropriate file type that will be compatible with a 3rd party software which will get the job done. I have heard that a software such as DVD Architect can do that, but I have not been there and done that.
Stop markers function at playback of DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc only. And, never place a stop marker at the end of the last item on that Timeline.

    Thank you.

Add On...I have found that the situation is the same for stop markers and AVCHD on DVD and Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc.

  • When printing photos, pictures are missing colors. ( example no blue sky, colors look washed out )

When we print Photos the colors are not clear and the blue is missing in the sky, Pictures look yellow , also sometimes lines appear in Photos. I already ran the cartridge cleaning .

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? It appears you are low on cyan (and/or light cyan depending on your printer model and what cartridges are installed.)

  • Make timeline more like Premiere Pro?

On Elements, the audio and video on the timeline are coupled, one right beneath the other. Is there any way to make it function more like the Premiere Pro timeline with audio and video completely separate?

Im just an anachronism. I like my complete, customizable and controllable Timelines, ála Pro. I did not use other PE versions before PE4, so do not know exactly when Adobe chose to move to the new, streamlined, sleek Timeline. However, I miss the old style, that gave me so much control. This is probably the biggest reason that I have not embraced PE (over my PP2), even for shorter Projects, like I had intended.
Now, I am not trying to sell one version, over another. I just like the way that PPs Timeline works and have grown to love and know its workflow. So much depends on what one is used to and how they like to work. I am just hoping that CS4 Pro does not go the way of PE, regardless of how nice it might appear.

  • How do I shorten the length of the timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro?

This is my first time using Adobe Premiere Pro.  I created a slideshow of images with music. The entire length with all of the images ends up being around 40 minutes.  The length of the entire timeline is over 10 hours.  I had finished my slideshow and exported it in a .mov format.  The exported file ended up being a 10 hour long video with the first 40 minutes being the actual slideshow and the rest of it was blank.  That file ended up being about 140 GB in size.  All that I want to do is to cut off the rest of the time after the first 40 minutes.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

Set In and Out Points or the Work Area Bar to the Head and Tail of your edit.
The when you Export..use either of those as a setting to tell the exporter what  to export.  There is a Menu for it in AME.

  • Preview Timeline Issues in Premiere Pro CC

    Hi,
I am wokring on my feature film and since the last 2-3 days I have notice my PREVIWE RENDERS on the timeline stagger. When i give for rendering, the render just keeps increasing, the number of frames increase...sort of like a variable frame render...and just goes on and on !
I uninstalled Premiere CC and installed, changed hard drives. Still the problem persists !
Please suggest what to do !
    Thanks
    2014 Macbook Pro 15inch Retina 2.3Ghz Intel Core i7 Mac OSX 10.9.5

To get the fix for this bug, you will need to update. But I suspect you don't absolutely need the fix for the bug as there are workarounds. There's probably just a small number of problem spots in the sequence that are causing the issue. Perhaps only one. So render the sequence in segments defined by In/Out points until you find a problem spot. Then simply skip that point.
All of which begs the question as to whether you really need to render at all. In case you're not aware, doing so is entirely optional for purposes of smoother playback. If your computer is powerful enough, it may not be necessary.

  • Why don't colored markers in Prelude keep their color in Premiere?

Just wondering why it is that when I choose a certain color for my comment markers in Prelude, Premiere automatically colors them green.
Is there no setting in Premiere that would simply respect the colors I chose in Prelude for my markers?

Hi Mark, thank you for showing me this. But your different colored markers are actually the default "comment, flash cue, web link, chapter, speech" markers.
I'm talking only about the Comment Markers. Whatever color I set them to in Prelude, those same Comment Markers markers always end up being the default dark green in Premiere. And, yes, I am running the very latest version of all Adobe CC programs...2014.1 (October's update).
Let's say for example that I prefer white as a color for comment markers in Prelude.
Why is it that they change their color to dark green when they show up in Premiere?
I think many of us would like to see a fix for this that allows whatever color marker we choose in Prelude to be respected in Premiere.
