  • ALE-Idoc -Is It possible to distribute Trnsaction data to multiple system ?

    Hi Guys,
Is it possible to distribute transactional data to multiple system using ALE?
    If yes ,How ?
    Will u pls guide me?
    Regards

    Hello,
This is perfectly possible when you use a distribution model for your message types in BD64.
Per message type you can indicate multiple destination systems in BD64.
Of course you need to maintain all the partner profiles.

  • Importing swiss tariff code numbers from feeder system?

    Hi Experts
due to a business process we cannot tariff our products inside GTS, because of the usage of dummy material numbers. That means that a material number can sometimes have the tariff code 4711 and in another delivery the tariff code 1234. From that reason also the materials in the feeder system (R/3) are not fixed tarrifed in the master data.
So we tariff the material in the line item inside the delivery manually.
Unfortunately in Switzerland we do not use the EUSTA statistical numbers. So for that, the standard solution (take statistical number from feeder system) would work. But we have the CH_EXP swiss export code, which has a different tariff code structure.
My question is, if it is possible to transfer the code number form field EIPO-STAWN (feeder system) into the field CCNGN in GTS? We searching for a BADI, Userexit or something else which could steer that - but unfortunately without success.
Thanks a lot for your input.
    Regards,
    Andreas

    Hi,
i think there is a way by using the Badi
"BAdI for Mapping and Enrichment of Data from Billing Documents (SD0C)"
    (/sapsll/if_ex_ifex_sd0c_r3~if_extend_cus_cdoc)
    you find this BAdi in
    IMG
    -Sales and Distribution
    --Foreign Trade/Customs
---SAP Global Trade Services - Plug-In
Business Add-Ins for SAP Global Trade Services
    Edit Control of Document Transfer
Change and Supplement Document Data for Transfer
here you can change the transfered item information from the feeder system to GTS.
    (/sapsll/if_ex_ifex_sd0c_r3~if_extend_cus_cdoc)
    In structure:
    CS_ITM_CDOC-CCN
you find all the needed fields to overwrite the commodity code number.
    regards,
    Ralf

  • Product Data Hub

My client fulfills intangibles (licesne keys, software) and emails are sent out to customer with different email contents depending on Product line/Products. Can somebody tell me if PDH (oracle product data hub) can be used to satisfy this requirement?
Is it true that PDH attributes are small and cannot support more than 50 characters?
    Thanks

As a Master Data Mgmt (MDM) product, PDH is used to synchronize product master data across multiple software. For example, in banks, there may be separate software handling different products that the banks are offering to the public (savings, credit card, term deposit, personal loans, corporate loans, wealth mgmt, investing, etc), and hence the product master data (or product code) may be distributed across multiple software. PDH would be used in this case to make sure that the product master data in all software in the company are always up to date. Same condition may also be found in telcos, for example.
I'm assuming you're talking about customized marketing e-mail depending on what products each customer has bought? If yes, then you might want to look at such functionality within CRM system like Siebel CRM. Or are you just talking about customized packing slip upon fulfillment? Then, you should simply customize the packing slip document

  • Error - Update Product Data in Solution Manager

    Hello,
We are currently downloading the Enhancement Package 4 in SOLMAN via Maintenance Optimizer, however, after choosing the Technical Usages in step 2.1, it shows an error in step 2.2 (Select OS/DB Dependent Files):
Error : Update Product Data in Solution Manager
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Would it be fine to continue on the next step after selecting the files which you need for your operating system-database combination.
Any information is highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Jaypee,
Check guide How-To Install EHP4- A practical guide. Solution of this problem is documented there. you can download it from http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp
Extract from this guide for this problem:
Make sure that you update the product data in SAP Solution Manager. This is described in SAP Note 1277035 which is referenced from the collective SAP Note 1122966. If you do not update the product data, you might get an error message after the stack calculation. The message text explains the problem in more detail.
    Thanks

does anyone have an idea, where I can look up the production date of a MacBook Pro? I can't remember when I bought it...

Try this site as well. Paste in your Macs serial number and it will reveal all kinds of info about it including exactly where is was assembled. You can get the serial number from System Profiler. Cheers!

  • Production Date in QM 10-17

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me why don´t the QM 10 to 17 reports give me the possibility to filter information about QM notifications based on the production date (VIQMEL PRODDAT), theres no filter available regarding this field.
Is there any solution to solve this problem?
the column PRODDAT in the table VIQMEL (using transaction SE16) is ok and with the correct data, but it seems that the standard QM reports don´t manage to transfer this information.

    Hi ,
In users profile own data , System - user profile - own date , in the default tab you can change the values of the same .
Else if you have authorizations then you can use the T code SU01 to make the changes in defaults tab.
Select the format in which you intend to enter the data , please remeber that in case of batch management you need to give - date/month/year - you simply cant give month and year .
    Hope this helps .

  • Mapping new product code from source system to old product code in Oracle COA

Mapping new product code from source system to old product code in Oracle COA
    Here is the situation:
One of our legal entities is changing their product codes in their COA segment. We are not changing the code structure in the global SOB. Is there a workaround to pull the source system information into ADI (or any other tool) and map it to the current Oracle product code?

  • Full production refresh to development systems and Charm?

    Hi SDN Community,
Where I work we have a policy of refreshing the development systems (ECC, CRM, APO, BI, SRM) on an annual basis with full production system data, HR data is subsequently wiped clean from the development system.
For each of our systems we have a development system, a QA system and a production system.
The decision to do these full refreshes was taken to ensure that developers and configurers can do decent testing in the Dev environments - prior to transporting to our QA system - to ensure that we have a reasonably stable QA system. Prior to the refreshes - QA was considered too unstable by our business to be used as a good test platform - the full D refreshes solved this problem.
We have recently installed SAP Charm (Change request management) which is a solution manager based product that manages the transportation of objects in change requests - attached to maintenance cycles.
During our first development system refresh we discovered that all open Charm projects (maintenance cycles) were placed into an unuseable status due to the refresh. This means we had to rebuild all of the Charm projects after the refresh - which took a considerable amount of time + resources and delayed project work. We don't want to be in this situation again for our next refresh.
SAPs response to us has been that they have no other customer that does full Development system refreshes - and also has Charm. I wonder if this is accurate, I think what SAP are saying is that they don't have many Charm customers... Is refreshing Development so uncommon?
We are considering products like SAPs TDMS - and alternatives (eg gold client) - but most of these appear a little immature - for refreshing complex system landscapes - such as ours and keeping everything in synch after the refresh.
    My questions to SDN -
What do you do - do you do full refreshes to your D systems?
If not - what are the arguments against refreshing D systems (is this considered bad practice)?
Are there any other Charm customers out there in a similar situation to us?
How do you manage the stability of your QA environments and stop the transport into QA systems of untested changes - if your D systems are not similar to you production system
(note we have some 300 active users in just our ECC development system)?
Any suggestions / recommendations as to how to best proceed would be greatly appreciated.
    many thanks in advance,
    Julian Phillips

    Thanks Naushad for your reply,
I wonder if D refreshes are less common - more due to the additional hardware costs incurred (disk space needed to store full production data is usually pretty large) to do them - than due to avoiding disrupting development - probably a bit of both.
I did not mention this - but in our refresh we do reimport all transports that we open prior to the refresh - which used to solve our problems - in terms of restoring active changes - but with SAPs Charm system - this approach does not work as the Charm projects are left in an inconsistent status.
We are now leaning towards introducing a 4th set of systems into our landscape - so that we have the following platforms:
Development --->  Pre QA  ---> QA  ---> Production
This approach will allow us to keep both the Pre QA and QA systems refreshed every 6 months or so - and our new Dev system - we will refresh very infrequently (every 5 years perhaps) if at all. We will tie the Charm system to our new development - and this system will then not be impacted by refreshes. This approach means additional hardware cost - but as it happens we have a few spare boxes - so this maybe our best bet.
The core reason for our refresh is so that we will be able to preserve the stability of our QA test platform - which for us is the critical factor here. If QA has poorly tested work in it - we run a higher risk of disrupting other testing and also of this poorly tested work reaching production.
When we used to have a development system as you described and just the single QA box - we experienced frequent instability in our QA box - due to poorly tested working reaching it - and this delayed numerous projects.
Does anyone else have a 4 box setup like this? Anyone else encountered this on an SAP project anywhere? Pros / Cons of this approach?

  • Master data from multiple system compunding to source id

    Hi all,
We have a requirement to host multiple Country SAP systems in one BW system. This requires compounding with an infoobject key on all the master data and I am using 0soursystem.
and found that this configuration is very cumbersome( time taking) we need it to be cost effective also.
Is there any other way of doing this and at the same time make the Data unique to the Country.
note: one of the system is in production for 2 years now and loose that data.
    Regards,
    NPR

    Hi,
    a) what about harmonizing master data over all systems and defining one system as the leading master data system?
    b) While uploading the master data, do a concatenation of the key (material no. with the source system id or something similar)
    c) assign a complete different key to the master data and post the original key to a nav. attr. and use the nav. attr. for reporting e.g. material 4711 --> change the key to 0001, post the original no. 4711 to a attr. called zmat_orig which is added as nav.-attr. to the attributes.

  • Bar code data in SAP system

    Hi all,
Our Production system was installed with following modules (PP, MM, SD, QM & FICO )
we are running Bar-code data in SAP system. Because of this our database size is growing somuch. Is it advisable to keep barcode data in SAP system. If yes what are the implications of the SAP systems.  OR can i use third party software for Barcode data generation.
SAP system performance is de grading day by day
    Please give your valuable suggestions.
    regards
    Ramesh

    Hi,
We are using barcode too on our system, which is for production order (order ID) for stock and goods movement purpose.
Our mechanism is converting production order number (EAN) into a graphical barcode (Code 39) while printing a production order label. By this method we are not keep barcode image on our system, but anytime we need this barcode, we just print it.
    Database size grow so much?
    - consider data aviodance/ data archiving
SAP system performance is degrading day by day
    - how do you justify that barcode is the root cause of your performance degradation? maybe you have to take a look inside your system : checking user activities, parameters, I/O, CPU usage, expensive SQL statement, table reindexing, table statistics etc that may help you to solve your performance issue.
    - if you are sure that the huge database size is the major problem of your performance degradation, consider data archiving as mentioned above. note that data archiving still give you opportunities to read data even though data has been archived. we have done for all module we have PP, MM, WM, SD, FI, CO and found no issue about reading data from archive.
    - consider to reorganize, that table fragmentation may contribute in database size.
    hope it help you.

  • Production date in inbound delivery in batch split

    Hi,
I have a issue with production date update in inbound delivery.
I have created a inbound delivery for 10 PC. The inbound delivery has only one line item and there are no batch details on it. As soon as the inbound delivery is created a message is sent to the 3PL . Once the 3PL receives the goods from vendor he send us a message with the batch details. Say the 3PL has received multiple batches from the vendor. So he send us back an SHPCON message with multiple batch details. That  is batch A with QTY 6 and batch B with QTY 4. He also send us the production date for each batch via the shpcon idoc. say batch A has production date as 10.02.2011 and batch B has production date as 21.03.2011.
The IDOC is created successfully in our system and the inbound delivery is also updated correctly with the batch split details with correct QTY. That is line item 10 has batch split line items 900001 with batch as A and QTY as 6 and line item 900002 with batch as B and QTY as 4. The issue is only with updation of date of production for each of the above batch. Both batch A & B are updated with date of production as 21.03.2011. Instead of batch A being updated with date of production as 10.02.2011 it is updated with the batch B date of production. I checked in the idoc. In the idoc each batch has correct production date. only when updating the inbound delivery it has updated wrongly..   Has any one come across similar kind of situation. ? How did u manage it?
    Ram

I found out the issue and the approriate changes has been made in the message handling

  • Indexing product data for embedded search for my shopping cart fiori app

i have no idea what program is this, and job details cannot be displayed/changed because of incomplete job definition.
    Appreciate any assistance pls.

    Hi Dex,
Please check if there was a dump recorded in ST22. Also perform an authorization check SU53 for the background user that submits the job.
