Distributing forms shuts down Standard 9 program

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version 9.5.4, when I get to the distributing of my form the program shuts down. Any idea what is causing this?

Please confirm if you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer and that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges or Run As Administrator. If you are and still have the problem, then please read on:
On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11?
What are the properties of what you have put on the Expert view Timeline of the project...video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, aspect ratio, file extension, duration....?
What have you or the project set as the project preset for this project? Does it match the properties of your source media? If you are not sure of the project settings, please tell us what it says for Edit Menu/Project Settings/General Editing Mode, Timebase, and Frame Size.
How do you have your Scratch Disks set up (See Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks.) Are they directed to a hard drive save location with enough free space to accept them? Is your computer optimized..defragmented, no pile ups of preview files and conformed audio and video.
What were your export settings...please confirm:

MPEG
PAL DVD Standard
If that is correct, did you change any of the settings under the Advanced Button of the preset?

Forms shut down automatically

I just upgraded from forms 6.0 to 6i and I'm having a problem with one of my forms automatically shutting down when I do an execute_query. I've traced it down to the Query_Master_Details program unit. Just before it actually does the execute_query, it does the GO_BLOCK(detail) - detail is the block passed into the program unit. When it executes this line forms shuts down. I've recompiled everything and can't get rid of this problem. I'm using Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.11.3

Try this: Open your fmb in your forms builder. Press keys: "ctrl shift k" together save and compile the form. If this doesn't help try to convert the form to an fmt and convert it back to fmb after it. compile and run to see if the crash is gone.

And you are quite persistent, Menu Boy, in offering pernickety and pointless prattle, in response to a "support page" on iPad's buggy Pages App.
Let's summarise, for those reviewing this threadless thread for app support..
Mobile pages works reliably for simple docs, especially creating letters and Menus for Microsoft's Kindy canteen (even on special days with nice big pictures).
When importing more complex docs and/or working with larger creations, it is prone to randomly corrupting files upon re-opening, along similar lines as Word (running on a PC).
So, Menu Boy, do they let you sneak into classes every now and then? What is the secret to their training? "Say after me, if any I.T. product works just some of the time, that's a job well done, and if something randomly stops working, we call that the user's fault... And if they complain, we call them names."

After 10.5.8 update no shut down, Finder, Dock, program folder issues

I've seen and read similar topics to these issues but as the given tips couldn't help me I open another topic.
Yesterday I installed the 10.5.8 update. Since then I cannot access the Dock, it even doesn't show up, the Finder does not let me access the program folder and my Mac doesn't shut down at all, only by using Contol, Command and Power (sorry, does not know the proper terms in English).
I tried to repair the disk by using Disk Utility from the initial DVD and it did repair a lot of stuff. In the end, it shows "Keys out of order" in red and that my disk could be repaired but one volume couldn't. If I try to repair permissions it doesn't even start saying something of "... inaccessible ...".
After trying this no change in my issues.
What could I do more?

EDIT: Erase the Disk with DU, yes. But don't install the system, if you want to do a full TM restore.

For no obvious reason Aperture shuts down whenever I switch to another program such as Safari. What can I do?

I developed a program which contains several JFrames. In every JFrame there's a Button "Exit Program", an I want my Java program to shut down completely by pressing this Button. Of course I can close each JFrame, but then there occurs the problem that the DOS-box is still open. Is there a method for shutting down completely a Java program ?

Office 2013 - removing 2010 - avoid Shutting down open 2010 programs

pretty much as topic..
when deploying office 2013 via sccm to users.. the setup will, without warning, close any 2010 programs that are open.
How can I avoid this?

In 2012 you can give conditions to uninstall 2010 before installing 2013. anyway two different versions are not needed on any machines.. so you can run the Uninstall for Office 2010 before running the 2013 office version. Then there is no question of closing
out the 2010 apps. If you want to push 2013 with out uninstalling or something.. you can use the application packaging tools like "install shield or Wise packaging studio to add the custom dialog boxes before starting the 2013 office install.

The custom form is getting displayed properly. But the requirement is to have it as an editable PDF. So the functional team is working on configuring the settings of PDF forms with customers email address.
But for right now, i customized the standard form F140_ACC_STAT_01 and standard print program RFKORD10_PDF and did the configuration. It is getting displayed (I tested only with the transaction FBL5N - customer open line items..)
Please let me know any further details on this.

QT32 Server needs to be shut down prior to updating

Does anyone in the world know how to fix the annoying qt32 server fiasco on my mac Snow Leopard current release? I need to supposibly shut down the qt32 server mac before I finish the updates for CS5 production Premiere which is not possible. I know 2 other editors that have the same issue and they gave up and went back to Final Cut.

I cannot address how things are done on the Mac-side of the street, but there are often programs and processes, that must be shut down for some program updates, as they will need to be rewritten too, and this cannot happen, if they are running, or resident.
On a PC, if one encounters such an issue, the offending program is usually being called at bootup, and one would use a utility, like the built-in MSCONFIG, to just not load that program, or process, until the update is done.
I can only guess that similar exists for the Mac, but could be horribly wrong.
Maybe Todd, Jeremy, or another valued Adobe employee, who also knows Mac's, can weigh in and help.

Slow Shut Down Time For Macbook Pro Retina Snow Leapord

Hello, I was hoping somoene could help me with the following problems.
I have brand new Macbook Pro Retina, 15inch, 16G RAM, 500G of SSD, running Mountain Lion, and lots of professional recording software. My macbook frequently shuts down after 30 seconds, that wonderful grey wheel spinning in the center of the screen as if it were an old PC.
I've contacted apple frequently. They check to see that I've repaired disk permission, they reset...the RAM i believe, they ask if i shut down all the programs. Even through doing all of this, usually my macbook takes 30 seconds to shut down. Sometimes it takes only 5, which is how it usually should be. ANd this occurence seems to be inconsistent with the apps I use. Sometimes it takes long to shutdown when i've barely used a thing. Other times it shuts down immediately when i've used a lot of different programs at once. So there's no constant.
The apple boys suggest reformatting the computer to make sure it isn't a hardware issue. I refuse to accept that after only 3 months of use I already have to reformat everything. It's not the most enjoyable experience because I'd have to reinstal all my audio software despite Time Machine's magic tricks. Any suggestions?

These terminal commands decrease the excecution time of a process that has caused slow shutdown times for many users. This resolved my slow shutdowns. IF you are comfortable using terminal you can give them a shot, but be VERY careful using terminal.
These terminal commands should also fix the problem then and kill the services after 2 seconds:

Iphoto keeps shutting down during import

Is there a limit on the number of pictures you can have on iphoto? I am trying to load the pictures from my vacation (yes there are around 800 of them) and the computer either errors and shuts down the iphoto program. Or restarts the entire computer automatically. I don't know why it's doing either. I have the pictures on my laptop but I would like to put them on our big computer for editing and safe keeping. Thoughts on this?

Yes. 250,000, so you may have some headroom there.
How are you getting connecting the two Macs together? While things can go wrong causing iPhoto to crash it would be very unusual to cause the Mac to restart.

Mac hangs up on shut down

Hi everyone. I'm experiencing a hang up issue as I'm attempting to shut down or restart my Mac. I've attempted numerous fixes including verifying permissions, running fsck -fy, creating a new user account, but with no luck. When you click shut down, it basically removes everything from the screen except the background and after about 3 seconds, the grey wheel will spin and it hangs at that point. I've left it spinning for hours. I did snoop around in the log, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing the problem. I also downloaded Onyx and cleaned up a bunch of stuff, but to no avail. When I attempt to shut down, no other programs are running, other than Finder. The Mac will shut down if I push the switch in the back, but that's not a good way to shut down obviously.
Here is the log file from the point of shut down. There were no logs in the "Crash Reporter" folder. The problem may be something involving launchctl or launchd, but I'm not sure. Please help. Thanks a bunch!

You may be able to repair this with the 10.5.7 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

HP laptop not shutting down

My laptop has encountered a problem.
When I shut it down, it does not get off. black screen comes, but the light still continues to glow. I tried it for 30 minutes but the light did not get off. So I am a bit tensed about it. Please someone help.

Welcome to the HP Forum.
You did not say which Operating System you are running.
In general, when this happens, and everyting else is OK with the computer, then it is a sign that there is a program that is not shutting down properly -- a program is stuck spining in circles.
The "something stuck" might be one of your programs, that is, something you installed - a game that did not shut down properly. The "something stuck" might be a regular system program that should have stopped but is not doing so because the program running is corrupted and cannot stop like it should.
EXAMPLE: Use the Task Manager to check what is running just before you shut down the system.

The problem could be due to an Update that is stuck.
The problem could be due the system needing one or more Updates.
The problem could be due to a driver that is in need of being resintalled.
A Hard Reset might clear the problem:
