Distributing Price Differences posted with  MIRO to production orders

Dear guru ,
I know DUV that distribute consumption differences from a physical inventory to production orders.
After the production order consumptions (mvt. Type 261) for these materials we posted the prices differences with MIRO between the purchase order price and the invoice.
Does exist a tool like DUV (or other) in order to distribute these differences in price to the production orders that have consumed these materials ?
Thanks in advance

To me it looks like the material ledger is the standard tool for doing what you want to do (although it doesn't actually post price differences from purchases to production order but rather distributes them to the receiving materials on the level of the actual price calculation)

  • Exchange Rate difference posting during MIRO posting

    Hi ,
We are facing an issue for exchange rate difference posting during MIRO.
PO creation , GR posting & IR posting done on same date. Vendor in PO has different currency than company code currency. Exchange rate maintained in OB08 for this period is taken in PO.
PO value & GR value is same. Due to raw material cost there was price difference posted during GR posting.
(i.e. Raw material cost - GR/IR value = Price difference amount)
During posting MIGO, 3 accounts got posted.
Raw material cost account got debited & offset credit to GR/IR account & price difference account (in vendor & company code currency also)
During posting MIRO, 4 accounts got posted.
Vendor account got credited with GR/IR amount & offset to GR/IR account debit.
Exchange rate difference account got credited & offset to price difference account (in company code currency only)
Since PO creation , GR posting & IR posting done on same date, then why system has posted exchange rate difference account in local currency only during MIRO posting ?
    Your inputs appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
there is a setting in configuration of logistics invoice verification where you can control the calculation and posting of exchange rate differences. If you had the setting active that exchange rate differences are calculated against a planned exchange rate, that might lead to the kind of postings you describe. Please check.

  • Post GM with reference to Production Order using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

    Hi Experts,
We need to post Goods Movement with reference to Production order. In brief, we have to get the functionality of MB1A done. I'm trying to use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, but its not reflecting the Documented Goods Movements in the Production Order.
Here is the data i'm using:
goodsmvt_header : posting date, document date
    goodsmvt_code : 03
    goodsmvt_item:
    material
    plant
    storage loc
    batch
    mov typ : 261
    ENTRY_QNT
    ENTRY_UOM
    ENTRY_UOM_ISO
    order id
Sometimes it generates material doc and year in exporting parameter, and sometimes it gives message "Content of order zzzzzzz : yyyyyyy transferred to interface (IMSEG): xxxxxxx".
But despite of this I cannot see the Documented Goods Movements reflecting in the Production Order.
Can anyone help on this. Is there anything else to be passed or I'm missing any process ?

    Experts,
I could get the postings done with BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE. I was executing BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE and then BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT separately, thus the generated Material doc number was not getting posted. When I used the Test Sequence option from SE37 menu, it worked.

The scenario is  storage lcation is maintained  with the external warehouse management .
Is there anything i need to maintain warehouse as decentralised one or should i need to maintain any moment types or is there anything else i should maintain in the customisation.

    Hi ,
In my case i have not maintained as decentralised one.

  • STO returns with EWM Error "Posting with reference to pur. order only possi

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to STO returns GR (161 Movement) with transaction MIGO for a EWM managed plant.
Plant A is a EWM managed plant and Plant B is IM managed plant.
We created a stock transfer order with "B" as supplying plant for plant "A" but with "Returns" tick in the item. (Document type UB)
In the first step, when we try to post 161 movement with MIGO transaction, we are getting the below error
"Posting with reference to pur. order only possible for integrated whse"

But the same scenario works between two IM managed plants.

    Hi All,
I am interested in the tail end of this process. I have activated DWM. We have received an Idoc confirming the Inbound Delivery for a Purchase Order Receipt.
The Goods Movement Status of the Inbound delivery has changed to C but there is only a Confirmation of Service in the document flow and the Purchase Order is not receipted.
I am unable to MIGO the PO manually.
I guess the Inbound delivery should have posted a receipt on the PO but not sure what is missing?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • How to transfer posting with reference to Subcontracting Order?

    Hi, Experts,
Regarding to the SAP SCM510 handbook, in the section of subcontracting,it mentions 3 ways to post the provision of components from own company to stock for vendor:
1.) Transfer posting with reference to subcontracting order
    2.) Monitoring of Subcontracting stock(using t-code ME2O)
    3.) Transfer posting without reference to PO(using movement tyep 541 + O)
For the items 2 and 3, I can understand the processes but for item 1, I don't know how I can perform Transfer posting with reference to subcontracting order?  Anyone can explain me on the processes?
    Thanks in advance.
    Fanghua

    Shetty,
Thank you for your help. I am really a new SAP learner. I wasn't aware of the transaction code MB1A, MB1B and MB1C etc. But I tried the way you mentioned, it works.
My initial conern on this is really from the Enjoy transaction - MIGO. I tried to select the tranaction - Transfer Posting but it doesn't have Purchase Order(or subcontracting Order) as reference.
How can I transfer posting with reference to subcontracting order in the transaction - MIGO?
    Thanks.

  • Price Difference GL During MIRO

We have  a scenario where we receive Invoice for a material (with MAP) after some time of GR for e.g., 10 to 15 days of GR. Mean while we consume some of the stocks already received. When we post invoice (MIRO) with some price changes to PO price, system checks the stock overview and posts the proportionate amount to Material account and Price Difference account (PRD), which is a standard behavior of SAP. But, we dont want the amount to be posted to PRD. We want to post the entire amount to material account only.
Can anybody suggest the workaround solution for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Bharathi

    Hi
Another process, though manual would be, to activate the Material Tab in MIRO. There after, what ever, quantity is available in stock you can pass a debit or credit to material. However, it is not the suggested correct way as MAP will not be in propotion to existing stock quantity.

  • Logic of price difference  posting

    Hi Experts,
I want to understand a scenario where:
    1. we have a price variance due to insufficient stock at IR for a PO related to Raw material. ( it hits the Price Difference(P/L) A/c                 (PRD))
    2. The raw materiel has insufficient stock since it has been issued to production order and not sold as yet but we are booking a gain or loss in P/L.
Now the question is that is inline with correct accounting since we are realizing a gin or loss even though the item still lies in our books? Shouldn't this price difference value put an impact on production order instead so that the product cost is more accurate?
Please help me understand as this point has been raised by Finance Dept.
    Thanks,
    Safi

    Hi,
    1. When you issue material to production order, what entry gets posted? its Consumption A/c -- dr and Inventory a/c -- cr
now as far as inventory is concerned qty issued to production has lost its identity since it has been issued.. it need not be 'sold'.
In Inventory Valuation you can valuate only that inventory which is not issued and intact in Balance Sheet.
so, this perception is completely wrong that inventory is issued to production but still not sold so can be considered for other calculations.
    2.
Lets look at the scenario why difference has occurred. let's take a example
    1. PO -- Qty. 10 @ $ 100
    2.GR -- Qty. 10 @ $ 100
with this entry Material MAP = $ 10.
    3. Issued to production - Qty. 2 @ $ 10.
    4. Stock available at this stage is Qty. 8 @ $ 10.
    5. IR. -- Qty 10 @ 120 -- now system will post price difference of (qty 2 * diff $ 20).
Now, at stage 3 you have issued qty to production order so its been consumed, now at IR you realized a difference in PO price and IR price. (understand the time difference during all transactions) but this difference has occurred for Qty. 10 where as to cover that difference you have only Qty 8 left in your stock hence the price difference to the extent of qty 2.
Stock price will be very unrealistic if you load difference to the extent of Qty 2, on the Qty. in stock which is Qty. 8.
By far this is the correct way accounting..
In SAP terms this is called as "Material with MAP without Stock Coverage"

    I hope it clarifies..

  • Price difference posting at the time of IR based on GR

    Hi,
    I had a PO for 10 pieces @ 10, GR for 10 pieces @10, but i got a invoice from vendor for 10 piece @12.
so what can be the possible entries at the time of IR for Price difference; like, it should be posted to material account / it should post to price difference account. How can we configure the same? is price control indicator do play any roll here?
Please try to give as much as information as you can.
    Thanks !

    Hi
While posting invoice through MIRO, system takes into acccount either Stock or Price differences. To understand more.....
If the stock is available, then the system transfer that amount to inventory. if the stock is not avaiable system transfers that amount to price differences account.
If the stock is partly available, then system generates 4 line items. while doing invoice in the moving Avg price(V)
    GR/IR Account               DR
Inventory acccount        DR (In Case of Price increase due to escalation clause)
Price diff. account          DR (In Case of Price increase due to escalation clause)
              To Vendor account
To  Inventory acccount        DR (In Case of Price decrease due to escalation clause)
To  Price diff. account          DR (In Case of Price decrease due to escalation clause)
In the above entry only one will be applicable regarding diffrences posting either price decrease or price increase. In the case of Oil (HSD)these fluctuations are very common.

  • MIRO posting with reference to Purchase Order

    Dear Experts,
I've created a Purchase Order with reference to a purchase requisition. Now I want to post MIRO with reference to this Purchase Order Number to give payment to Vendor mentioned in Purchase order. But when I going to post miro amount not coming which I mentioned in Purchase Order!!
How can I post MIRO with reference to Purchase Order Number? Is it possible?
    Best Regards.
    Ripon

As above it sounds like a GR gasn't been posted but you can still process invoice.  Just manually enter the quantity and value as per invoice.
Note the invoice will block for payment pending the GR.
See transaction MRBR if you want to release the invoice for payment immediately.

  • Wrongly Stock issued & difference posting with CENVAT transaction

    Hi all,
The user has made the wrong entry by issuing more stock for example Qty. 400 in the month April 2007 but he has not verified physically & with system, now after January 2008 he has verified the difference that Physically he has found Qty.1000 but in system Qty. 600. For this I have suggested to go for Physical inventory difference posts that he has found 400 Qty. more since it was wrong entry in April 2007.
But in this case how to consider the Excise duty transaction since he is posting the difference of 400 Qty. after 6 months.
Kindly let me know the solution if anybody experienced the same.
    regards,
    Dhanu

    Hi Dhanu,
There are 2  types of costs involved in procurement.
    1.Material cost(all costs + direct taxes)
2.Non Material costs(Dedectable Taxes) like Excise.
So, clearly the company which is going to procured should  pay that Excise amount to that concerned vendor.
If u find more qty, u can post in Phy.Inv.doc.
Then where is need of concerning of Excise ..!!!

  • Price Difference account at the time of Order Settlement

    Hi SAP Gurus
While doing Period End Activities in Controlling, Variances are getting posted to Price difference account (P&L account), similarly at the time of MIRO also, any adjusted amount of a material, is getting posted to price difference a/c if the material stock is not available.
Please help me where this Price diffrence account is assigned or mapped in sap, and how it getting affected while settling orders.
    Expecting an immediate reply.

    Hi Ganesh
Thanks for valuable advice, but in our case when i double click PRD, there is only one account is mapped in our chart of accounts, But there is no field for Valuation class, from Account field and to account field,
only one field is there by nme Account, where in Price difference account is maintained.
I don't have the option of linking Valuation class with GL Accounts of RM & Semi Finished Materials.
How can make those fields to be shown in that Screen.
If  i check for other chart of accounts, it is showing 3 fields
such as Valuation class, from account no & to account no.
but for our chart of account only one filed "account" is displayed in the screen.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards

Seems like you are doing MIRO before GR. If GR is done, it will pick the amounts, if GR is not done, the amounts are not picked. You enter the amounts manually with reference to PO.

  • Price difference between the requisition and the order

    Hi All,
There is new functionality in ERP6 that checks the difference in price price between the requisition and the order. The configuration is under Purchase Requisition -> Tolerance Limits -> Define Tolerance Keys. This is very useful functionality when the requistion item is approved at an estimated price, but a purchasing group needs to change the $ value it will block the Purchase Order.
I have this configuration menu available in SPRO in one of my systems (IDES), however on a newly installed ERP6 system we are missing this menu path in SPRO.
Does anyone know why this menu path in SPRO is missing on some systems...

    Thanks Henry,
I've done some digging and the tables that store these config settings are part of US Federal Governement addons.
Looks like all the (non government) sites that need it aren't able to have it. Great shame really as this would be very useful to communicate with the requestor whena  price difference occurs.

  • Difference between Configurable and varinant production order

    Hi All,
    1) What is difference between configurable material production order and variant  production order?
    2) What is difference between configurable material and variant material?

    Hi All,
    1) What is difference between configurable material production order and variant production order?
    Ans:
the only difference i can see is the Account assighnment - the configurable material needs to have a sales order order or Customer independent requirment since the stock when gets produced has to be placed inanyone of the account assignment.Which in simple terms is a make to order producton order
the Variant material production order can be a make to stock scenario also
    2) What is difference between configurable material and variant material?
a.Configurable material - Inthis the characteristics can get any or specified values based on the requirement
Ex: car - is configurable material
colour is a charctertisc - red, white are the values
    b. Variant material - It will have ONLY one config material attached with it and the charatterstics would ahve the vallues prefixed
ex: CAR_RED as a material - which means the colur of thecar is red -it is fixed
does it clears your doubt are still require any more information..
sap s very intresting part  is VC
