Distribution from dummy to actual profit centers_Distribution cycle

Hi SAP Gurus,
I am facing a problem while distributing amount from dummy to actual porfit center/centers as my client requirement is to distribute whatever amount we posted in dummy profit center to actual profit centers at the end.
Can any body explain me in details how can i go for this distribution cycle.

Yes, i run the report in 4KE5 itself but here the system is showing 5 debit line item & 5 credit line item with the same amoutn for every line item.
I am getting confused over here why the system is displaying many line item with + & - figures with their respective GL numbers.

Hi Joseph,
Acturally at the end of certain period, payables/receivables will be updated with the profit center using the TCode: 1KEK. the program searches for the profit center in opposite line item in each document and updates the payables/receivables line item with that profit center.
But in your case you want to transfer the payables/receivables from dummy profit center to other profit center. You can transfer the amount from one profit center to another profit center using the TCode: 9KE0.

Hi Guru,
Where ever for GL posting a account assignement as PCA is required, in absense of Profit Centre the entry will flow to dummy profit centre.
You can use the same distribtion and Assessment (as we do for Cost Centre accounting) for allocation to the valid Profit Centre from the dummy Profit Centre.

Well, there are other ways of doing this, than trying to assess using CCtr Assessment Cycles.
You could use a Costing Sheet to collect the costs and apportion to the material. This us the idea behind Overhead Cost Allocation.
Alternatively, you could use an Activity Based Costing template for the apportionment. Create a Business Process and have your Cost Centre assess costs to the Business Process by the end of the month. Now run template allocation and, all the config being okay (this is the catch), you will see this costs on the Production Order / Product Cost Collector / Material, etc.
All of these require some config, but definitely you cannot assess from a CCtr to a Production Order. You are better off defining a Costing Sheet for this one.

if you want to use transaction 9KE0, you must first create a layout.
This is done by transaction S_ALR_87099788 - Maintain Layout for Document Entry (Accounting -> Controlling -> PCA -> Actual Postings -> Current Settings)
Create a new Layout
1. Menu -> Edit -> Gen.Data.Selection -> Gen.Data Selection
Take for example the company code to the general data selection
If you want to set the company code variable, then mark the second flag and type a 1 into the From field.
2. Maintain your lead columns.
Add new lead columns with the button New lead column
For example: Create 3 Lead Columns: all with characteristic value or if you like characteristic value and name
First for Document Line, not variable From value 1, To value 20
Second for Profit Center, not variable From value *
Third for Account, not variable From value *
3. Save Layout and goto transaction 9KE0.
Select your Layout and the document type. (number range must be defined in customizing) -> execute
Enter general data (in my example company code) and press F5
Now you can enter up to 20 lines (as defined in line To value)
In the customizing you define for each document type what you will allow.
For example Type A0 is only allowed to post if balance is zero.
So your Line items must be entered positive and negative to make the balance zero.

Problems moving distribution from one environment to another
Initially we have the environment as below:-
Production :-
Server1 : AIX Environment manager (dealing with conductor, web, db)
Server2 : NT Node manager (dealing with outlook)
Development :-
Server3 : NT Environment manager (dealing with conductor, web, db)
Server4 : NT Node manager (dealing with outlook)
Currently, we intended to change the production environment via
changing the Server1 to Server3, as the new environment
manager, while the node manager unchanged.
Things that we've done in Server2, the node manager for
production environment:-
1) Pointing to Server3 instead of Server1, by changing Forte
Control Panel and changing registry entry.
2) Re-deploy the needed libraries in the new environment, so
that it can has the updated version.
3) Re-olegen the vb component.
4) Re-deploy the whole application.
However, we're facing the following problems/error messages
for the newly deployed Forte application:
1) Failed to bind to object named (/wfuseraccessobj/odbso/1)
2) Failed to bind to object named (/wfuseraccessobj/emailso/1)
These errors are actually refer to the libraries that used by
Conductor in order to perform database retrieval, and emailing
functions. These functions were worked properly in the initial
environments.
NOTE: The first error could be okay when refreshing the internet browser
(as our system is a web-based system), somehow it keeps on occurring every
now and then.
Please advice on this matter and reply ASAP as the project
delivery is crucial for our side.

Yes. I organize all my film rolls by name. If I import new pictures that don't fit into an existing film roll name I create a new film roll with a name appropriate to the theme of the new pictures. No problem with this.
However, if I import pictures at a later date that I want to move to an existing film roll, there is a problem if scrolling is required to bring the existing film roll into view in the display pane.
For example, I have a film roll called "Flowers & Plants". I later import a roll that contains some pictures that I want to move to the Flowers & Plants roll. The Flowers & Plants roll is not visible in the display pane so scrolling is necessary. I select and drag the new pictures up (the new film roll is always at the bottom of the display pane) to reveal the Flowers & Plants film roll. However, the film rolls scroll by so fast it is virtually impossible to stop on the Flowers & Plants roll's title bar.
This was not a problem with earlier versions of iPhoto on slower Macs. I really appreciate the much improved iPhoto/Mac performance but I wish there were some way to control this aspect.

Yes you are true its only workstation.xml which gets updated.
So only worstation takes precedence over application.

Use a Secondary CE in actual Periodic Repostings cycle

Hi,
I need your help to figure out how to move on with this process. May you help me out?
I want to settle a CE group for a CC group to some WBS "dummy" with different percentage on the receiver tracing factor. Afterwards I would like to settle each WBS "dummy" to a specific WBS group basing on actual statistical key figures.
Said that, I tried to use KSU5 for the first step (sender CC group and CE groups; receiver WBS "dummy" with an assessment CE) and then I used KSW3 (sender WBS "dummy" and the assessment CE; receiver WBS created group) for the second step.
The system blocks us though because I can't use a Secondary CE as a sender. Is there a way to fix it?
Should I have to find a workaround?
It should be useful to run KSU5 for the second step as well, but the system doesn't let us use the WBS "dummy" as a sender. Is there a way to add the WBS field in the transaction? (maybe through customizing).

Why assesment, use distribution (KSV2) instead.
In assesment, the movement is always using secondary and this is causing problem doing the 2nd step.
I would suggest, use distribution and then as 2nd step use KB11N for WBS to WBS reposting or KB15N for allocation.
Let's see others views on this.

Problem with data distribution from HCM to e-Recruiting

Hello masters:
I have a problem when I try to distribute data from HCM to e-Recruiting. I´m getting code 51 just for the PA infotypes segments (E1P0000, E1P0001, etc.). The error message tha I am receiving is:
"Error in subroutine read_namtb for structure of infotype".
My e-Recruiting system is SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, so I'm using Business Partners for storing data from PA infotypes.
I'm using message type HRMD_ABA, basic type HRMD_ABA05.
I think it could be the implementation HRRCF00_INBD_NEWMOD from the badi HRALE00INBOUND_IDOC, because it usually get inactive even though I go to activate it.
Does anybody knows what can I do?

Ifyou are using EhP1 for NW 7.0 you should have E-Recruiting 600 EhP 4 on your system.
I never encountered this special error message so far, so i have to "guess". The message indicates that the system had trouble reading some infotype information.
The ALE distribution for EhP4 is storing the PA data in new infotypes 558*. The error you get points to a missing BAdI activation. If the BAdIs are not activated correctly, ALE will try to write the information from the PA infotypes 1 to 1 into the E-Recruiting system. But E-Recruiting does not know the PA infotypes which should exactly lead to the error you get.
Could you check the following settings:

How do I create a BW hierarchy from an R/3 profit center hierarchy?

I am trying to create a profit center hierarchy in BW using a profit center hierarchy from R/3. I know there is a way to do this, I just can't find the way.

Hi Aaron,
you have to activate the specific datasource 0PROFIT_CTR_0106_HIER in R/3 transaction RSA5. After doing this, replicate your source system in BW anf then assign the datasource to 0PROFIT_CTR infosource, create an infopackage and finally load your hierarchies !

The subject and from address listed in the message pane are totally different from what is in the actual email, viewed either in the preview pane or when the email is opened. The emails are correct when viewed online. For example:
Email subject A from Sender A - email A
Email subject B from Sender B - email B
Email subject C from Sender C - email C
After downloading to Thunderbird:
Email subject A from Sender A - email A
Email subject B from Sender B - email B
Email subject C from Sender C - email A *** Subject and Sender for C but is actually email A
This started happening within the past month and appears to be random. Sometimes everything is correct. But more often there are a few that exhibit the above behavior. I have multiple email address downloading from the same domain but this problem seems to occur ostly with my main email account.

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder.
Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder

PO release/distribution (from SRM to backend) FModules?

Hi experts,
I need to create a report that allows the user to release/distribute (sorry if these are not the right words to call the process) a PO ... My report actually retrieves the header of the purchase order ,that has status "waiting" ("park") in SRM (a change version)... so, given the header, is there a FM to release easily the po ?
(excuse the terminology, I'm not sure that's correct: I talk about release/distribute a PO meaning the process that brings a correct po from SRM to the backend).

Hi sanjeev, tried your solution without success. I get an error message, BBP_PD381.... I call the FM in this way:
CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PD_PO_STATUS_CHANGE_WF'
EXPORTING
iv_guid = srm_change_header_guid
iv_status = 1
where srm_change_header_guid is the header's guid of the change version on my PO, the one I'd like to release.
Some infos from debugging.... the error comes from the call function that follows:
CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_FOR_ACTIVITY'

values of the parameters in debug are:
check_only = X;
client = sy-mandt;
objnr = p_new_guid (which is the guid of the header of the change version)
vrgng = 'RELP'
XNOAUTO = 'X'.
The message is hard to translate in english, anyway says something like "error on modify state RELP. "Release purchase order not allowed".
Any hint?
