Distribution model required for LS to KU ?

Hi Guys,
In BD64 we can create distribution model ONLY with LS to LS.
So iscenario like LS to KU  system is not allowing to create Distribution Mode because the recepient is KU (not LS).
So how does the system(MSTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE) will determine who is the recepient? Is it from partner profile only???
If it is yes then distribution model is not required at all for LS to KU scenario??
Your comments pls.....
Thanks & regards,
Biswajit Ganguly.

I found by myself that ...no dist model req for KU...
Cheers,
Biswajit.

  • How to decide the no.of models required for our application implemention

    Hi ,
i ahve one basic quetion in WD development.
how to decide the no.of models (aRFC ,EJB..etc )  required or needed to get the functionality of our application ?
    for Ex:
my application consisits of belwo functionalities.
    1. serach for the country
2.display the bank lis for the above country
3.display the bank details of the selected bank in the step no.2
any one of you explain me how to decide the no.of models required for avoe functionalities .
or is it  in a single model  we can include the all the above functionalities ?
    Regards,
    Govindu

    Hi
It all depends on application to application and requirements better to consult with functional guys or team lead what exectly they want to implement .All could be possible with RFC or EJB , some alternatives are
    1. serach for the country  :  For this standard java API is there which populate all country (no need any rfc or ejb)
2.display the bank lis for the above country : (Check if there  any webservices for this or create manually value help for this , even if u will use the RFC abaper guys will do the same )
3.display the bank details of the selected bank in the step no : step 2 will solve this also with one additional field i.e address and details.
I hope you agree with the point that stand alone WD app can do these all thing without any model.

  • ALE distribution model - restriction for incoming distributed settings

Hi, we plan to protect our ALE distribution model from user and external changes. User actions can be restricted using the B_ALE_* authorization objects, this works pretty well. However we've not found a way yet to do handle external changes. With external changes I mean the case, if someone distributes the model from a remote system to the local system. Is there an authorization to restrict that? Thanks, Andre.

    Hi Andre,
in my opinion the romote system will use a rfc-connection. Behind that there is also an user (for example ZRFC with type system) in use. This user must exist in your system. His authorizations could also restricted by B_ALE*.

  • MDG Replication model required for MDGF with Co-Deployment?

    Hi MDGF experts,
We are implementing MDGF 6.1 and I am not sure if I have to set up a replication model if MDG should send to the same client(Co-Deploy) and if we need to perform Key mapping if we use the standard OG data model.
In another document I read that you still have to setup Replication model for MDGF if you post to the same client. http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6043b83f-1a37-3110-cd8e-f2dabb672019?QuickLink=index&… but this document is for MDG 7.
If, I do indeed have to setup Replication model do I use Replication via Idoc, services, RFC?
Your help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks and best regards
    Riaan

    Hi Abdullah,
Thanks for the document. In the document it describes settings for HUB and ECC client. To me it looks like you have to create 2 profiles for end to end communication for HUB and target. Thus if in my instance I want to replicate in the same client do I still have to setup 1 profile as hub and a second profile for ECC on the same client or do I use the same profile and add all the target and hub services definitions in the same profile or only the target system settings.
Also what do I do about integration scenario configuration in the MDG hub system and integration scenario configuration in the MDG target system or do I only have to do it for target system seeing in my instance it is the same system.
    Thanks and best regards

  • Distribution model

    hi,
in the ale interface, why some processes no distribution model and some need distribution model?
for example of processes no distribution model:
billing from sender system to create vendor invoice in receiver system using invoic message type.
or create purchase order in receiving system or any other processes.
they make use of partner profile to post/send immediately/backgrd.
    wish to have advice.
    thanks
    rgds

    Hi,
Could you please explain your query correctly?
Generally speaking the Distribution Model determines which messages are distributed to which logical systems. If you say like, there are two systems exchanging business between each other, then there has to be BAPI-based distribution of data between them. And one more common feature we can observe under the Distribution Model is that it is meant to find out the number of recipients willing to receive the business documents.
For ex: Let us consider your example: Billing from Sender System to create the vendor invoice in the receiving system using INVOICE message type.
Under this process, there could be multiple receivers who would be looking for Billing documents, but for some of the recipients it is filtered with message type INVOICE and for some, it is filtered with some other message type. Or they might not be needing the receipt of the message type.
The use of Distribution Model is all requirement dependent.

  • Distribution Model documentation

    Hello All,
We are working on developing an approach to implement SAP in overseas markets for a Food and Beverages firm. The firm uses three basic distribution models-
    Third Party
    Commissionaire
    Fully Owned
Right now the client is moving from a Commissionaire to Fully Owned Distribution Model in Country 1 and from Third Party to Commissionaire Distribution Model in Country 2.
We are recommending a "template" design wherein we provide the client with 2 template Distribution Models- one for moving from Third Party to Commissionaire and another for moving from Commissionaire to Fully Owned. The client can use this template for implementing SAP in other countries rather than starting from scratch whenever they move from one distribution model to another in future.
Has anyone worked on a similar requirement before. If so, could you please provide me with any form of documentation you have on this? We have a quick turnaround. I would really appreciate a quick response. Please let me know if there are any questions.
    Best Regards,
    Smitha

    Hi Smitha,
If I understand well the SAP implementation is planned for:
    - Fully Owned subsidiaries
    - Commissionaire (Distribution company partially owned by the group).
Third Party partners will not "benefit" from SAP implementation and are out of the scope.
    Is that correct?
Following question: Between a fully owned subsidiary and a "commissionnaire" / Distributor, are the logistics and financial process different? I understand group reporting is specific for fully owned subsidiary, but that's a specific problem.
Why is the distribution model different between a fully or partially owned subsidiary.
I understand the distribution model is different between selling to logistics platforms from supermarkets or direct delivery to small shops, but what is the relation with the ownership of the company?

    Franck

  • System Requirements for Running Cloud at home?

I teach film production and would like to have access to Creative Cloud at home, so I can brush up on all the programs having recently transitioned from Final Cut Pro.     My home computer is pretty basic and its a PC.    What are the minimum system requirements for Hard Drive,  Video Card and Ram?    Do I download the programs onto my pc or do I use them in the cloud, thereby saving my precious, and tiny hard drive?

You misunderstand. Even in Creative Cloud the programs install locally. It's merely a different licensing and distribution model. For the requirements, refer to the producrt pages of the individual products like here:

  • How to create a data filter for BAPI used in a Distribution Model ?

I am trying to create IDOC's for a QM inspection plan via message type QPMK in ECC 6.0. When creating the new message type in the Distribution Model, it forced me to use a BAPI (MasterInspectionChar) rather that just the message as I have done in the past. In order to ensure that only IDOC's related to a specific plant and material type get sent out, I was trying to create a filter.
I am able to get into a 'Change Filter' dialog by double clicking 'No data filter set' under the node 'MasterInspectionChar.SaveReplica'. However, an attempt to highlight anything on this dialog and clicking button 'Create filter group' results in msg. 'Select node: Content-dependent parameter filtering'.
Online help led me in a different direction, one thread led me to believe I needed to create a table entry for the filter in table TBD16 via BD81 for later attachment to the BAPI in the Distribution Model. Before this, I created two Z* ALE Object Type records for plant and material type in table TBD11 via BD95 for what I thought would provide a lookup back in BD81 for creation of a new filter record, but these objects are not found. Per the help, I am also unclear as to whether I would need to set up Receiver determination or Parameter filtering, nor where to make this step in the configuration happen?
Can anyone point me back in the correct direction to get a data filter set up for this BAPI within the Distribution Model ?
    Thanks - Mike

Just to clarify, what I am having trouble with is finding where exactly to plug in the name of the plant to be filtered? If using a message type such as MATMAS in a distribution model, it is very straight forward to navigate down from the 'Data filter active', and assign a value to whatever field you wish to filter via the 'List of Values'.  But in this example, message type QPMK required use of the BAPI MasterInspectionChar, and therefore the different method in creating the filter.
I cannot find similar functionality when navigating the BAPI related row, for MasterInspectionChar. The 'Change Filter' dialog popup displays a row for 'Container' and then 3 more rows containing 'BAPI structure...'.   Clicking the 'Attribute' checkbox on any of these rows sets 'Data filter active' as a node under the BAPI.  Double clicking the 'Data filter active' brings me back into the same dialog, and selecting any row with an attempt at this point to create a filter results in the 'Select node: content-dependent parameter filtering' warning.  Is this warning occuring because of missing configuration?
    Thanks - Mike

  • File2idoc:Error in ALE distribution model for SendResponse

    Hi,
I'm using XI to configure a file to idoc scenario.
Now in WE19 I could see relevant data, but in WE05 it showed the error status 51,and the detail message was "Error in ALE distribution model for SendResponse".
Do I have to create a distribution model in BD64?I did this ,but failed to create.

    hi,
i dont think distribution model  is required for inbound case.
    just check the below configuration.

  • Maintaining distribution model for ALE audit.

    hi,
I have to create a bcakground job in the receiver system to periodically send back the audit data to the sender system. To do the same i need to maintain a distribution model for ALe audit. For doing so i don't have the modal view XIDEMO in BD64. How to implement. Also in SM59 while maintaing RFC destination it says U6D_700 no longer exists. Please suggest how to get it resolved.

    Hello,
You can create your own model view in BD64. In the model view add message type ALEAUD with sender as your system name and logical system of your reciever.
Also configure the Partner profile in WE20, with outbound parameter ALEAUD and IDoc Type ALEAUD01.
Schedule the program RBDSTATE with the required parameters.

  • "Customer" BAPI in Distribution Model for Training and Events

We have an HR box with Training and Events - When booking an attendee on a course, you can select the "contact person" tab. Our SD box is separate from HR, so all the contact persons are maintained there. Is it possible to use the "Customer" BAPI in a distribution model so that when we search in the HR box for a contact person, it actually fetches the data from the SD box?
I remember reading up on this a while back but I can't find the documentation I had back then...
I know that in BD64 I can create a distribution model, and if I remember correctly, i should be able to "Add BAPI" and use object type "Customer" - Then add all the methods that I need... (like Find, List, Search etc) In essence, once this model has been distributed to the other system, if I go to transaction XD03 in the HR box, I should be able to display customer master details that only exist on the SD box - Is that correct?
Please help as I am not able to get this to work...

    Ok I figured it out...
I have created a distribution model with the HR system as the source, and the SD system as the target.
In change mode, click the "Add BAPI" button and choose object BusPartnerEmployee, method CheckExistence
Do the same for the following:
    BusPartnerEmployee.Display
    BusPartnerEmployee.GetList
    Customer.CheckExistence
    Customer.Display
    Customer.ExistenceCheck
    Customer.Find
    Customer.GetContactList
    Customer.GetDetail2
    Customer.GetInternalNumber
    Customer.GetList
    Customer.GetSalesAreas
    Customer.Search1
Ok so I know that this might be a little over-kill, especially all the Customer methods that I added, but it works

  • Distribution Model for PP-PDC

    Hi Guys,
I'm new to this and I'm trying to find out, how I can create a filter for a "Subsystem Grouping" based on Work Centers.
I've already assigned a subsystem group to all work center belong to a single plant.
I'm trying to setup the distribution model to send IDOCs to an external system
I've added a BAPI with details as follows:
    Model Name:                  XXXXX_LS
    Sender:                          XXXXX
    Receiver:                        XXXXXX
    Obj. Name / Interface:     RCVPRORDCF
    Method:                          ReceiveProdOrder
I've also assigned all Work center from 1 plant into the same Subsystem Group in CR02 ->Subsystem Link -> Subsystem Group = 301
How can I create a filter to filter by the subsystem group for the work center, to download only those production orders based on this?
Or, is there another way that I can filter by plant?
Thanks a lot for the help guys

    1. Go to Tcode BD59.
    2. Create a Custom ALE Object Type
    3. Specify the corresponding Segment name where BUKRS exists and the Field Name as BUKRS.

  • Change log for Distribution model and partner profile

    Hello All,
Could any one please suggest how to get teh change log of the distribution model and partner profiles in SAP.
    Thank you!
    Arvind

    Hello,
The documentation says what distribution model is used for. My question is can we have change log for any change in the distribution model like user, time and date.
In production system if distribution model and partner profiles are changed by someone to a destination which should not be used, then how can we trace who has changed it.
I hope I am able to explain.

  • Too many recipients found for message type (Distribution model)

    Hi,
I wanna send Dilvery note using message type DESADV from a SAP system to another non-SAP System.
I have Created port partner profile and distribution model.
But the Problem is the same message type DESADV is used to send Dilvery from SAP System to another SAP Client.
Idoc getting failed and throwing error stating ‘Too many recipients found for message type DESADV in the ALE model ‘.
I am sure we can create the more than one recipients for same message types. I have done it some time back. Any help highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Raj

This message pops up when SAP can't identify how to distribute the IDoc based on the settings in BD64. Take a look at the settings there, most likely you'll need to add a filter.
The big ALE/EDI/IDoc book suggests that the same IDoc may be distributed to 2 different systems but specific details are not clear. It seems that one system should be configured first (it does mention a need to use a filter) and then somehow menu Edit -> Model View -> Distribute should be used.
I've never done it myself though and have only run into that error when I missed some filter settings in BD64. Hope this helps.
