Distribution over the periods of costs on the operation

hi, gurus,
could you, please, answer my question.
How can be distributed over the periods planed and actial costs on the operations.

Hi Maria:
I completely agree with you. We have the same problem. I think there is a gap. I explain:
You assign a material component to a operation (10 units). This begins in 1/01/2013 and ends in 30/10/2013 (10 months) You assign a MRP distribution key (field Distribution, at General data tab) to split the whole quantity (10 units) over the duration of the operation. Material has item category 'L', so a reserve is created.
From logistic point of view: You can check, at TX MD04 that the requierement has been split. Good !! One unit each month. So you expect 1 unit per month. Accordingly, costs related to this operation should reflect this situation, one unit each month...
From cost point of view: All costs related to this material (10 units) are all assigned to the begining of the operation ! (1/01/2013) This feauture does not meet the an ERP principle (logistics planning and cost planning go together) Logistics planning is OK, however cost planning is not.
Can any of you solve this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance.

    Basis Admin

    Hi,
Operation Modes are the best way to change the amount of processes in the system, Administrators usually prefer more dialog processes during the day to deal with the users requests and more batch processes during the night to deal with all the system jobs, reports, archiving, etc.. The manual switch is used to change the Operation mode instantly to deal with a special demand, like heavy reporting, special month end jobs, testing, etc...

  • BPS distribution over the big hierarchy

    Hi,
I need to make a distribution based on the CostCenter hierarchy.
In BPS application user post values on the level of CostCenter and on upper nodes level (postable nodes in hierarchy).
    - Values posted on CostCenter should be summarized up in the nodes levels.
    - Values posted on the node level should be distributed on the CostCenter level.
Distribution should use all hierarchy relation for distribution rules (sender-receiver).
How to do this? I do not want to specify those rules, they are already specified in the hierarchy. Could you propose the ethe right approach for this.
    Thanks, Tom

Ok do a authorisation roles based on node so that who ever has the role for that node will have access to the costcenter under it.

I have a dual boot lab that I set up for a school.  The partitions consist of Mountain Lion OSX and Windows 7 Ent.  I use bootpicker software for choosing the operating system at startup.  When I select the windows partition, it take just under 2 minutes from selection to the windows login screen.  It seems to take incredibly long for the mac to "shut down and hand over the operating system to windows.
Do you have any suggestions on how to get this timing faster?
    Thanks for any ideas/input

The only suggestion I can make is to look ar ReFind (previuosly ReFit). Startup mamangement is one of its features.
    But
It is very powerful so test it for yourself before deploying it. Some of the functions are best kept out of the hands of the curious, or 'playful'
And you never answered this question.
Tell me what the needs are, do the users always need to choose Windows or is this a variable?

  • How to recalculate the capacity distribution over periods

    Hi All,
I'm working on cProject (release 4.5). In a custom report, I need to recalculate the "Req. Capacity Distribution over Periods" for a given project role, simulating the "Distribution Functions", but I'm not able to find out the ABAP object / FM or similar that split the required capacity.
    Can anyone help me ?
    Thanks in advance,

Sorry, I need to redefine the distribution for a given Project role / Resource.

  • SEM Allocations - How do you make the Distribution work by Period not ***?

I have configured an SEM BPS Allocation function.
The function appears to work as expected except for the distribution values that are being used in the calculation. The distribution values being used are the cumulative total and not the period values.
    E.G...........................................P1.............P2........Total
    <b>Sender</b>
    Sender Value............................100............200..........300
    <b>Distribution Ratio's</b>
    Receiver 1...................................1...............7............8
    Receiver 2...................................2...............2............4
    Receiver 3...................................7...............1............8
    <b>Expected Results</b>
    Receiver 1.................................10.............140........150

    Receiver 1.................................40...............80........120
    Receiver 2.................................20...............40..........60
    Receiver 3.................................40...............80........120
Can anybody tell me what setting I am missing to tell the distribution to use period results rather than cumulative results?
    Many thanks

In the planning level I am using fiscal year and posting period. The posting period was set to be periods 1 to 12.
In the setup of an assessment function there are 4 input areas:
Sender - where I am choosing a sender cost center and identifying a secondary cost element.
Receiver - where I am identifying the cost centers to receive the assessment and the same secondary cost element (to be the same as R/3 assessments).
Trigger - identifying the range of cost elements where the original costs are held on the sender.
Distribution - where I identify the statistical key figures where the values are held to calculate distribution ratios over the receiving cost centers.
I have attempted to insert posting period into the assessment structure, but have been getting a message that posting period is included in a higher method, which did not appear to be the case.
In reviewing this while answering your initial questions, posting period is now able to be input into the structure, and the assessment appears to be working.
Thank you for trying to help.
This appears to be one of those strange items where some previous configuration had not cleared in the relevant tables.

  • Forecast for planning over the Cost element/Cost center with KP06

    Hi all
I'm searching a idea: one of our chief controller need to insert a "forecast" of budget inserted over the various cost elements/cost centers using the transaction KP06. THe problem is that he don't want lost the budget because he can need the reload the previous budget data during the year if the actual situation change. Obvisiously the insertion of the forecast overwrite the budget data over the version 0. This forces us to download over a file the budget and archive it, and reload it eventually. But this solution, a part the programming effort, don't permit to have both the data at the same time in the system. Exist a pratical customizing solution in CO for manage a "forecast"? Our release is 46c.
    thanks
    Davide

    Thanks Pascal.
Some questions (i dont' have a CO background ):
    >execute charge transferts and plan distribution in the new >version
Can you explicate me these concepts (or the transaction used for make this, probably I know this but in italian the name is different)? The KP47 copy the value over the single cost element or only the total of cost center?
    >KP98 is the transaction to copy postings from version 0 to >another version. In this case version 0 is the template.
Are you sure? The KP98 have the description "Copy by actual version to planned version", the KP97 "copy from planned to planned"
    thanks in advance

You should be able to use the battery if you get a car type charger which recharges mobile devices.
The full size iPads use a 10-12W charger, whereas the mini uses a 5W charger. Many car chargers only supply 5W. But at 5W, the car charger should give you some extra time on your iPad. It would be best to use a 10-12W car charger.

  • Is the GeForce GTX 960 worth the extra cost over the GTX 750 Ti?

Today I acquired an eVGA GeForce 960 FTW card with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM to test against my main PC's existing GeForce GTX 750 Ti (also with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM).
    But first, here's my impetus:
Despite the fact that the GTX 750 Ti was newer than my now-sold GTX 660, I felt that the GTX 750 Ti was a sizable downgrade from the GTX 660 in some ways, and equal to the GTX 660 in others. In particular, the results of the GTX 750 Ti during the encoding test from the PPBM8 MPEG-2 DVD timeline was nearly 30 percent slower than the GTX 660 (50 seconds versus 36 seconds) - but in the encoding test from the H.264 Blu-ray timeline, the two cards were practically equal in performance (at about 135 seconds).
And today, when I shopped for an eVGA GTX 960, I found four different models: The Superclocked edition (slightly overclocked but with the reference NVidia blower-type cooler), the ACX 2.0 (upgraded cooler but only reference GPU and memory clocks), the SSC edition (overclocked to 1279 MHz on the GPU, with the ACX 2.0 cooler) and the FTW edition (ACX 2.0 cooler, overclocked to 1304 MHz). All the listed clock speeds are the non-Turbo clocks.
    Back to my purchase:
At my local chain big-box store, the FTW edition sells for $220 - but another big-box store wants $230 for the SSC edition.
I brought home the FTW edition, and installed it into my i7-4790K main rig. The CPU is set to its default Turbo clocks while the system's DDR3-1600 RAM is set to run at its XMP profile.
Here are the MPEG-2 DVD and H.264 Blu-ray scores with both cards:
    MPEG-2 DVD (MPE On)
MSI GTX 750 Ti OC Edition: 50 seconds
eVGA GTX 960 FTW Edition: 44 seconds
    H.264 Blu-ray (MPE On)
MSI GTX 750 Ti OC Edition: 135 seconds
eVGA GTX 960 FTW Edition: 114 seconds
As one can see, the GTX 960 is 13.6 to 18.4 percent faster than the GTX 750 Ti. However, while my GTX 750 Ti cost $155 (and still costs that much at the big box store I went to earlier in the day - the one that sells the GTX 960 SSC for $230), is the FTW edition of the GTX 960 worth the extra $65? Well, that depends on which GTX 750 Ti and which GTX 960 that you might be considering for a PC based on a mainstream quad-core Intel platform.
So, based on the particular results that I posted in this post, do you think that the GTX 960 is worth the extra bucks over the GTX 750 Ti? I would love to hear/see your opinion(s).

    Randall,
While I certainly value the PPBM6 benchmark to compare various hardware and configuration settings, the GPU performance that is most important to me is simply playing back timelines smoothly with playback set for full resolution (vs. 1/2, 1/4, etc.) and scrubbing with the upmost in responsiveness. It may be difficult to measure playback smoothness, but you can use the dropped frame counter to compare various hardware.
If playback is smooth and I can scrub my timelines effortlessly, then how fast it takes to render a finished project out just really doesn't matter that much.
Even though you are mostly working with 1080 resolution media now, it may not hurt to try some more difficult media as well (aka RED 4k, PPBM H.264 timeline, etc.)
    Regards,
    Jim

  • Redo size(KB) over the period from AWR

    Hi,
Could anyone please let me know how to write an SQL query (involving AWR tables/views) to report the redo size(KB) generated for 1 hour interval over the last one week. My current AWR settings are 1 hr interval and the retention period is 7 days. Using EM DBConsole, when I click a particular snapshot id, it gives, among other metrics, the details of redo size(KB) generated during the corresponding snapshot interval but I don't know where this data is stored.
    Thanks,

  • I have an iphone 4S and it is within the warranty period. However my power button is jammed. Will i get an over the counter replacement in any store in the USA?

I am currently situated in India and they have a messed up replacement policy but, if i send my phone with the bill and everything will i get an over the counter replacement? The phone was bought in August 2012 and the power button jammed in November 2012. Also, does Apple only replace the phone or the earphones and everything that comes with it?

You will have to physically take the iPhone to an Apple store in the US,
if that is where it was purchased. If you are not going to be in the US, send
it to a friend or relative there to take into Apple for you, and then that person
can ship it back to you - shipping costs and insurance are your responsibility.
Apple does not accept international shipments for replacement nor will Apple
ship a replacement out of the country where replacement is made. Only your
iPhone - if determined to be defective - will be replaced, and your iPhone is all
you need to take to Apple.
iPhone warranty is valid only in country of original purchase - it has always been
this way for iPhones. The replacement policy is not messed up - it is working as
designed. Apple India would not have the correct handset to replace the one you
    purchased in the US.

  • Over The Air Signal dropping Periodically

I have noticed, mostly while at work, that my over the air signal for data drops suddenly then comes back.
Is anyone else having this issue?
The whole icon from the status bar just drops.  It goes from me having 2 bars of call signal strength then suddenly my "3G" indicator just vanishes.  It will sometimes come back with a "1X" then come back to "3G".  I was wondering if it could possibly be the phone or perhaps just my building.  I work for a Home Improvement Warehouse so the building is all metal.
But, I never had this issue when I was with Sprint and had an HTC Evo.  I am just trying to diagnose the problem in case I have to switch out this phone for another.
    Thanks in Advance.

Indoor coverage will vary and may be non-existing in some places due to cellular service cannot pass through brick, metal and other material. Are you having the same issue outdoors?

  • Already bought iWork. How do I get the App Store to recognize App purchases that I've made over the past few years?

I know I'm not the only person experiencing this issue, but I can't find who else has a solution. Essentially, I've been buying Mac Apps over the past few years and using them frequently. Now the App Store exists. Awesome. But how do I get the App Store to understand that I have all those past purchases and serial numbers? I'd love to download the Apps through the App Store because it's a better system of downloading and updating apps, but that convenience isn't worth the extra $300-400 I'd spend re-downloading all those apps.
Does anyone have any advice or experience with a work around to this?
    Thanks in advance.

As Carolyn has told you, you cannot opt Apple apps that you have acquired from some other distribution stream into the MAS stream. Period. It does not work that way. It will not be working that way. And many folks have come here wanting it to work that way over the last seven months or so that the MAS has existed.
If your End User License Agreement does not allow you to install the apps that you have on your new Mac, then the only way to get it today for the new Mac is to buy it from the MAS. The MAS apps use a different type of DRM and there are no serial numbers involved, they are tied to your Apple ID. If you are not ready at this time to purchase apps from the MAS then I would remove the apps from any older Macs and install them on the new Mac to transfer your EULA there. Then when a major paid upgrade becomes available in the future opt that app into the MAS by buying it through the MAS. That should be the only way to get the app in the future, Apple no longer is issuing boxed apps, just currently selling off any of the surviving stock.

  • Pointer jumps all over the screen erratically on new MacPro Quad Core

I just powered up my new MacPro Quad Core Xeon for the first time today. For the monitor, my new Viewsonic VG2230. I noticed that my new mighty mouse was skipping all over the screen and it was hard to get the pointer on the place on the screen I wanted to click. It got much worse when I added the second monitor (Viewsonic VA1912), and didn't want to move across from one screen to another at first.
I thought maybe it was the mouse, and put on my old Razor Pro mouse, which I know and love. Same problems. I switch USB ports still the same.
According to Viewsonic, both monitors are compatible, and I have used the VA1912 successfully on my old PowerMac. I thought it was odd that the number of screens affected the problem, which is why I am concentrating on the monitors, but I wonder if it isn't a problem with my Mac.
    Any ideas?

    Hello g:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
I suspect a faulty mouse. However, try two things first. Trash a preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and restart. Reset the PRAM:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
Second, after assuring Apple this really was a problem, i got the ultimate insult. "If you would like to lodge a technical support ticket, we will need your credit card. This call will cost you $150.00."
You see, I bought this thing four months ago. Apparently you only get a 90 day free call period. After that you're warranty is actually a cost per call scenario…..
There is no Apple charge for a warranty issue and the mouse has a one year warranty. Call Applecare back (or take it to a store if they have one close to you). Unless I am badly mistaken, Apple will replace the mouse and pay for shipping both ways (I had one fail a couple of years ago myself). Do identify the call as a warranty issue.
    Barry
