Distribution VB message

Hi,
When I try to run the offline distribution wizard, I get the following message.
"You  cannot run this task with the current security settings"
It goes on to tell me to enable access to VB project.  I am running MS office 2007 and have this checkbox set.  Even so I stll get the message.
Any suggestions?
Mike.

  • ALE Distribution for Message Type FIDCC2

    Dear all,
I would like to confirm my steps below in setting up the ALE distribution of message type FIDCC2, to ensure that I did not do anyhting that impact other company code that already live in the system :-
    1. Use tcode OB87 to add the Global Company Code, XBJ01.
    2. Use tcode OBV7 to link a dummy (non-existence in sending system)
Chart of Account to the Global Company code XBJ01.
    3. Use tcode OBB5 to assign the Global Company Code, XBJ01, setup in step 1. to the an existing company code BJ01.
    4. Use tcode BD64 to setup a distribution with message type FIDCC2, and
    filter with value XBJ01.
    5. Create an FI document using tcode FB01 with company code BJ01.
    6. IDOC is created successfully with message type FIDCC2.
Is there above steps correct? As there are times I receive an error message when trying to do a PGI with company code other than BJ01 "F1302 No cross-system company code is defined for company code TR01".
Another question is, with setting up of FIDCC2 with ALE distribution, any transaction in SAP that will generate a FI document will have IDOC created, right?
    Thank you.
    Best Regards

I don't know if you still have this problem but my team and I faced a similar issue in production. Due to a project we're handling, a tool that we are executing requested us to create a Distribution Model based on FIDCC2. This stuck hundreds of thousands of FI Document. Actually, for any FI document the system generated an FIDCC2 and it's not possible to reuse those IDocs because the FIDCC2 Message Type has a structure completely different from FIDCMT (the original message that the system should generate). We identified all the IDoc that should be generated and re-create the Idocs in the target system and the Idocs we posted correctly. We change the FIDCC2 IDocs status to 62 or 32 (depending if inbound system or outbound system). I recommend to investigate about this message type before use it. This Message Type is stronger than any other message type so it must be filter perfectly otherwise, for sure, problems will appear.

  • Serialized distribution of message types

    Hi all,
I have heared about serialized distribution of message types ?
Do you know of any tutorials, help (but not helpsap.com)
    regarding this topic ?
Have you ever used serialized distribution of message types ?
What are the pros and cons ?
    Would you recommend it ?
    Cheers

    Hi all,
I tried several things and the problem is still not resolved. This is what I learned.
First of all, I believed the SAP message about mixing of internal and external message is misleading or even wrong. I tried with both message types being external but I still get the same message that the interface has one internal and the other external message type.
Secondly, since Arvind suggested that I might have used an xml element that is not currently supported by ABAP proxy, I then change to another definition with the most simplest elements. I then attached this other definition to the interface and tried generating the proxy again. I still get the same system message that I am using mixing of message types in one interface.
My conclusion is XI still is not capable of generating ABAP proxy from external definition.
Does anyone have any comments/suggestion/experience on this issue?
    Best regards,
    -michelle

  • Dynamic Distribution Groups - Message Delivery Restrict to Security Group

    Hi,
I have created a dynamic distribution group and want to restrict mail delivery to only accept messages from members of a security group.  How do I achieve this?
The idea is the DDG's are set with their criteria and if anyone leaves/joins the relevant SG then they will have permission to send to those DDG's.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ,
In exchange management console it is very simple to provide the access. Please follow steps.
1.Open the Exchange Management Console (EMC)
    2.Locate the distribution list .
3.Right-click on it and select Properties
4.Open the Mail Flow Settings tab
    4.Select Message Delivery Restrictions
5.Then select the option only senders in the following list and add the DL that you would like to provide access to send email to that group.
    Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham

When I try to distribute my form, I receive the following error message:

  • Error while doing cost distribution

    Hi all:
while I am trying to do cost distribution , a message comes that
Cycle DOFF is not valid on 11/01/2008
    Message no. GA509
    Diagnosis
Cycle DOFF is valid as of the starting date 04/14/2009
    System response
    This cycle cannot be processed.
Could you please tell me how solve the issue ?
    Thank you very much

    Hi,
The error is because you have created Cycle DOFF with the starting date 04/14/2009 & you are trying to run the distribution cycle for November 2008.
For which period do you want to run the cycle?
    1) If it is for April 2009, then enter the correct period & year when executing the cycle.
    2) If it is for November 2008, then you will have to increase the validity of the cycle. I dont think you can change the start date of a cycle. You could however create a new cycle with validity period Nov 2008 to Dec 9999 by copying the cycle DOFF & only changing the start & end date. Then execute this new cycle.

  • JMS Messages getting stuck in queues

    Hi,
I am facing this peculiar issue with queue messages not getting picked up.
Application Architecture: There is 1 JMS queue ( which resides in WLDomain1 with in a Unix Box) and there are 2 windows boxes having 2 weblogic domains each with 3 instances of MDB deployed on each of the domains. So total of 12 consumers (2 Box * 2 Domain * 3 Instances of MDB) listens to the JMS queue.
Issue: After bringing everything up I am able to see 12 consumer count listening to the queue. But when I run the application which writes total of 13 messages in the queue only 7 of them are getting processed and 6 messages are always getting stuck in the queues. Interestingly this 7 messages are mostly getting processed by consumers with in the same windows box. And the selection of windows box is completely random. To confirm whether both the windows boxes are configured fine I tried to test them individually and it works fine individually, the problem happens only if I bring up both the boxes together.
Another observation is, if I bring down the non working domains, the pending messages start getting processed by the working domains. It gives an impression that the non working domains seem to lock the messages for processing but doesn't actually process it. Only when I bring down the domains it releases this lock.
Below is the JMS Life cycle events I captured from log files :

    Hi,
The problem may be conflicting names in your configuration. To ensure proper operation of WL Security, JMS, JTA, and JDBC, make sure that (A) each domain has a unique name, and (B) no two WebLogic servers have the same name (even if in two different domains).
To ensure a more even distribution of messages, either simply send more than a token amount messages (eg, a hundred or so, rather than just 12), or configure a custom connection factory on the domain that hosts the queue, reduce MessagesMaximum on the connection factory to 1, and then modify each MDB to refer to the custom connection factory. The MessagesMaximum setting controls the number of messages that can be pre-pushed (pipelined) to a single asynchronous consumer.
For more information see "Best Practices for JMS Beginners and Advanced Users" in the latest versions of the JMS admin guide, and "JMS Performance & Tuning Check List" in the WebLogic Performance and Tuning guide.

  • Regarding Message Type in ALE

    hi guys,
i was involved in Master data distribution using Message Types MATMAS, DEBMAS and CREMAS but never created a customer specific Message Type that is why, i just want to know in what cases do we have to create our own message type's using we31, we30 and we81 and we82.
can any one out here help me out by sharing giving some real time scenario's in what cases do we exactly have to create our own message type.
    thanks
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,
There is no hard and fast rule that you use standard or custom message types...
SAP has provided messages for almost all scenarios. If you don't have enough fields in standard messgae type, you can enhance it to accumulate your requirement.
But if the organization has completetly custom defined system (involving many Z-tables) , we create custom message types...
As far as my knowledge, we should try to go ahead with standard message types by suppressing unnecessary segments and enhancing existing segments just to avoid Z-objects.

  • Change warning message to info message

    Hi experts,
How to change message no. VL248 from warning type to info type? It seems this message no. is NOT in OVM1.
    Pls advise. Thx.

    Hi
When the warning message is thrown pls double click that message then you will get the message no like message class V1 no 023 like that
    Note down that
In t code OVAH you can convert from warning to error of message classes V4 (all SD that is sales related messages)
In t code OVM1 you can convert from warning to error of message classes VL (all SD that is distribution related messages)
But your message class and message no should lie in the lists of messages given in these t codes
The messages in these t codes SAP has given for us for customizing that is mainly V4 and VL
Any thing other than these message classes like V1 etc has to done thro development only
This has to be done thro development only not possible thro customization
    Go to SE91
    1.Input the message class V1/VL
2..Input the message no say 061 in no and execute
3.select the message no and click on where used list (ctrlshiftF3)
4.select the box programming and deselect all others
    5. Then a list of programs where this error message is used will appear
6.Double click description on the right side of your screen
7.Here you can see the codings written for this message 061 which can be changed to warning to error
    Note
The best way to do it is with ABAPer only
Not recommended to change the standard settings

  • [SCCM 2012] Content distribution to DP's successfull status then in progress

    Hello,
Had 70 DP on my infrastructure. A distribution group with around 200 contents is created and 70 DP are link to this DP group.
Every day I check the content distribution status, and the global pourcentage go up and down.
IE: Monday a DP is fully synched and the day after 10 contents are "in progress" and I have this thing on all DP's. Looks like that content distribution are done again an again....
Two weeks ago I had 15 DP fully distributed and now only 3... and no changes on the contents...
So I don't know what is the cause of  this. Any idea?
    Thanks in advance

We seem to be experiencing this issue in our environment and I just want to try and understand whether this is a bug that only reflects on status messages, or if the status messages reflect on the actual content, and thus, application and task sequence deployments?
I believe this is becoming a serious issue.
When the "Content is being distributed to the distribution point" messages first started surfacing, we noticed that certain packages (but not necessarily all), were being sent to all DP's, even when some of those packages weren't assigned to that
particular DP or the Boundary Group set up for content to that DP (we are viewing this in SCCM 2012 Monitoring | Distribution Status | Distribution Point Configuration Status, and the Details tab.) The biggest issue right now is that this recurrence of packages
redistributing, is causing task sequences to fail from distribution points that didn't actually have content redistributed to them.
And yes, validating content individually on those "in progress" packages does remediate the status message and eventually green light the DP. But validating content every time a DP is stood up, or content is distributed is becoming painstaking.
And scheduling Content Validation to occur more frequently only seems to be a band-aid that will not always help.
Is there any additional information on this malformed status message that can be provided? Is Microsoft working on a fix? We have not yet upgraded to SP1. Can anyone confirm the issue is resolved with SP1 or later, or if a hotfix exists to address the problem?

  • SCCM 2012r2 - Remove "invisible" packages/applications from Distribution Point

    Hello alltogether,
    I've encountered the following issue:
Our distribution points are displaying applications/packages as "In Progress - Waiting for Prestage content".
These packages doesn't exist anymore. Neither as prestage file nor in the config manager itself. We never tried to apply this package by using a prestage file because such a file never existed.
Even if I open the "content" tab of one distribution point, I can't find these packages in there.
The exact status of this package is the following:
    Message: Distribution Content
Message Detail: Distribution Manager instructed Package Transfer manager to send Package "x" to distribution point "y".
    Status Type: In Progress
I want to remove these "ghost" packages from the Distribution Status overview. Anyone has a clue how to accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best Regards
    Feyh

    Hello,
    thanks for your answer!
Unfortunately no, there is no information about these files.
Yesterday we installed a new one, extracted all of our prestage files on it and watched the status. The Packages weren't listed in the "Distribution Point Configuration Status".
After some time we added the new DP to our general DP-group where all of our packages/applications are assigned to. Now the "non-existing" packages are added with the "in Progress" status.
I had a look into "Distribution Point groups -> Our group -> properties -> content" but these packages aren't displayed in the list. Some of the packages are now in the "waiting for prestage content" state, others are staying with the "Detail will
be available after the server finishes proccessing ...".
We managed to remove one of the packages by deleting it from the database.
The following statement removed it from the Distribution status overview. However, we still are able to find the package in the database.
    select  * from SMSPackageswhere PkgID = 'P100003B'
    DELETE from SMSPackages
    where PkgID = 'P100003B'
Apparently the delete-statement affected 72 rows. But we are having no clue which. As long as we are not sure we killed anything important we are not going to do this with the other packages because it's the productive system. We can't reproduce this in our
    test system...
