DJ 3545 copying resolution issue

Hi there
I am having a problem with my DJ 3545 when I use the copy function. The printout has vertical lines missing in a number of locations on the document. I have tried copying different documents just to make sure that it's not a bad quality document. However if I use the scan function and than print the saved document it prints perfectly fine. I am using the onboard copy function on the printer and the iOS app to do the copying.
Not sure what the issue is but would greatly appreciate any suggestions

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issues when attempting to make copies.
This may sound a little silly but by chance, do you have the printers power cable plugged into a power bar/strip?
If you do, please remove it from the bar/strip and connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet.  DO not use extension cords as well.  Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general.     My new company installed Adobe Creative Cloud (There was some annoying Proxy issues at first, because of the seriously tight I.T policies) but we are having some serious resolution issues with After Effects CC 2014 (also have this resolution problem with Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, Muse) on Windows 8.1 Pro on a Dell Precision M3800 laptop with icons and interface looking too small and hard to see, is there a fix, an update or a work around, can anyone help?

    Hi Todd is there a time-frame for this fix, there is a lot of pressure on me, because I convinced my company to get the Creative Cloud and quite a lot of the CC software is not compatible with the latest Windows 8.1 OS.
    Is there at least a work around, until this big fix comes along?

  • OS X 10.8.3 Display Resolution Issue

    Ever since updating to 10.8.3, there has been a sporatic resolution issue when waking my MBP. My mid 2009 13" MBP operates in closed lid mode while connected to a 21.5" monitor. My machine frequently wakes to a completely incorrect resolution that is many times the size of my display. It fixes to the correct resolution if I simply sleep and wake again, or correct it via System Preferences, but having to do this several times becomes quite annoying. Anyone else experiencing this bug and/or have any ideas on its resolution?

  • Macbook Pro 15" Retina Windows 7 HDMI Resolution issue

    Hello,
    I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro 15" with Retina display running bootcamp with Windows 7.
    I have connected the Macbook to an external HP w2448hc display using HDMI interface.
    When booting to OS X 10.9.4, the resolution of the external display is set to 1920x1200 and it looks fine. See picture below:
    However, when booting to Windows 7 the resolution on the external display looks lower (although shows up as 1920x1200):
    I have another PC which I have connected to the same display with HDMI and the resolution also shows up as 1920x1200. However, in this case the resolution indeed looks as the correct one:
    Although not seen very well from the screen shots, both the PC and the Macbook Pro (with Windows 7) show the same resolution in the settings, but the desktop and icons under Macbook Pro (bootcamp) look bigger and with smaller resolution.
    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    I managed to fix this resolution issue by lowering the color depth to 16bit for the external display. Not exactly sure why was this necessary, maybe for some reason Windows cannot allocate enough video memory for both displays?

    Anyone hoping for a fix to the broken 2048x1280 resolution issue with the older 30" Cinema display prepare to be disappointed... it's still broke in 10.6.5 .... sheesh Apple, is this so hard to fix?

    Go to Preference and to Page Display:
    Check the part about the resolution and see if it matches the resolution of your display.
    The the resolution of which you view a PDF on screen doesn't necessarily have to do with how it looks when printed. I just updated 9.2 and open a PDF and I didn't see any problems on my machine.

  • Menu Resolution Issues

    I've been working on this DVD Menu forever for our first feature film, DVD's have to go into produciton today so Ive been working on getting the master DVD out to our duplicator. Can someone help me with my menu resolution issues I am having?
    I've sent my menu from photoshop with interactive buttons, both the buttons and the text look great on my preview file, but after burning to dvd the menu looks low res and muddy. is there something I'm doing wrong?

    It would help if we knew the various settings. What are the project default transcode settings? That is what is used for menus. Motion menus? What is the pixel size and par of the menus.
    Button highlights by the DVD spec only allow 2 bit indexed color. Adding effects does not work.
    You might post a screenshot from photoshop with the layers twirled open.

  • OS X Mavericks: display randomly turning white/brown/grey [no resolution issues]

    Hey folks,
    I discovered a very strange problem the last few days while using the internal and an external VGA Monitor on my Macbook Pro (mid 2010, 8GB).
    I'm running on OS X Mavericks with the latest updates and the system runs pretty smooth.
    What I discovered is as follows:
    Using any VGA monitor that I own, sometimes both (internal and external) display turn white (or grey or brown, just displaying a solid colored screen). This occurs with literally every display I used externally and doesn't occur while just using the Macbook Pro without an external display. This didn't happen before on Mountain Lion, neither did it happen the first weeks on Mavericks (I've been using it since it's released). After this happening, I have to do a forced reboot. This issue does occur randomly within the daily usage.
    Furthermore, I don't have any resolution issues as many user claimed about this already while running OS X Mavericks.
    From looking at the system I can tell that the RAM is not damaged (also because this doesn't happen while using the MB without external display). I also tried other RAM, issue remains reproducible.
    I haven't found any solution on the internet, so I decided to post my problem here.
    Hope there is anybody out there who might be able to help me out.

  • CM6040mfp Color copy quality issues

    I posted this problem a couple of weeks ago and thought it was solved, but it turned out it was not (I could not find that post for some reason, so I started another one).  This machine puts out excellent quality prints when doing an internal test page or sending docs to it.  However, when copying, the quality is terrible (blacks look brown, grays look pink).  I performed a scanner calibration twice and it seemed to improve quite a bit.  I just got a note from the customer stating that the problem is back again.  My thinking is that the scanner mirrors are dusty.  Would anyone out there agree with this theory or have a different idea.  I have resolved similar issues on different machines by removing the glass and cleaning the mirrors.  I have not yet done this on this particular machine because it does not look as easy as it would be on most other machines to remove the glass and clean the mirrors.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

     Upgrade to Firmware version 52.200.4 (CPE 11.4) or newer, which provides a solution for this copy quality issue

  • Apple tv3 resolution issues

    I've been having resolution issues with my apple tv3. I recently updated the software and now the quality is nowhere near what is was last week. Originally I thought it was just Netflix but after trying the other channels like Skynews and PBS I've dicovered that it's the AppleTv. I reset the resolution to 1080p under
    settings. I'm finding that I when I start a video I get the hd for the first few seconds then the quality goes to crap.I checked my internet speed and clocked it at
    25 mbps.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It's not ATV, the network connection.  Bandwidth download tests are not useful for this since it only tests for a brief time span, does not test the path from your ATV to the content provider.  It is also possible that your ISP is throttling streaming video or content from specific services.  I am guessing you are using WiFi?  I would try using a wired connection for a while as a test to see if that resolves it.  Streaming video rarely works well or reliably over WiFi.

  • Connecting from a remote computer / name resolution issues

    My work has two SQL Server 2005 databases, one installed on a Windows XP machine (running some equipment) and one installed on a Windows 7 machine (backing up the files from the XP instance).  Both computers run only the default instance.  I had
    replication set up and functioning (data being created on the XP maching was being replicated to the Win 7 machine) for the last three weeks in July.  I recently noticed that the replication is no longer working (the files were no longer being copied),
    and when I tried to check the status I got an error about named pipes, or, if I disabled named pipes "tcp provider error 0 no such host is known".
    At the time I found the replication problem, I could connect to both databases through SSMS on the Windows 7 machine.  On the XP machine, I could use SSMS to browse to the Win 7 instance but SSMS would not connect to the Win 7 instance by name (same
    errors about no such host known); the connection does go through by IP address.  I can ping from the Win 7 machine to the XP machine both by IP address and by name.  I could ping from the XP machine to the Win 7 machine by IP address but NOT by name.
    I tried running the workgroup wizard on the XP machine, thinking this might help with the name resolution problem.  In the wizard, I changed the workgroup name to a new name.  I changed the workgroup name on the Win 7 machine to match.
    This change did not affect the ping status - I can still ping by both name and IP address from the Win 7 machine, and still only the IP address works from the XP machine.  However, now SSMS on the Win 7 machine no longer sees the XP machine!  Trying
    to log in with either the machine name and the IP address, I now get a "timeout expired" message, and the SSMS login browser does not show the XP machine on the network.
    Any pointers on where to look for the cause of this problem would be very welcome.

    There was some problem (bug?) with the remote connections flag on the Win 7 server.  Someone had posted in the comments to a technet article that unchecking the remote connections box, restarting the server, then re-checking it helped them.  I
    tried it, and that fixed the problem with the Win 7 machine being unable to see the XP machine.
    Olaf's suggestion about the Hosts file fixed the problem with the XP machine having to use the IP address - now it can connect by name as well.
    Now I just have left the problem of a broken subscription to my replication, but that's a separate issue so I'll consider this thread closed.  Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions.

  • Illustrator to photoshop resolution issue

    I have asked this before but this new forum software apparently does not allow me to look up my old posts. Nice one.
    I have a serious issue with CC, I am astounded no one else has it and I really need a solution.
    I used to be able to copy a vector graphic in illustrator, goto photoshop, create new from clipboard and an option would come up to choose a specific resolution. It defaults to 72. and you used to have to set it to something else, create the document and it wouldn't work. But creating new from clipboard again would then proceed to work on the next attempt. It was as annoying as ******** but I got used to the flow.
    Now however it does not work full stop. A new from clipboard option offers 72, change it to say 300, it opens says it is so, but the picture is at 100% and tiny, so for instance a vector at 500pix wide will not open any large than that in photoshop even though the res has be quadrupled.
    This is really causing me major hassles.
    How do other people deal with this?
    Also whats the next best forum to ask general questions, adobe's gets worse and worse. (people here are great but the attempt at integrating everything with everything else is a real bore)

    Hi, no raster. I am talking about simple shapes or fonts turned to outlines.
    This has been an ongoing issue for much of CC. I purchased a new macbookpro and installed a brand new OS, not from back up and its still there.
    Can someone just try what I am saying and tell me if they do not see this behaviour.
    i.e. create a square in illustrator. Copy and create new file from clipboard in photoshop, can you get it any bigger than the amount of pixels you made it?
    You can FWIW import the file at any res you like and this works, but its a total PITA when you just want stuff done quickly.

  • Resolution Issue between Ai & Ps

    Hello,
    I'm having some problems matching workflow including Ai and Ps. I`ll try to explain:
    I'm developing some little icons 20px in Ai, I work pixel by pixel creating 1px squares to fully control the aspect. However, I need to finish them in Photoshop but when I use the copy/paste method I get a new Photoshop file at weird resolution (96.012). As a result I always get blur, dirty pixels.
    I know that I can save the art as PNG from Ai and then open it in Ps with exact pixel match, but I did work before copying & pasting and I always got nice and clean 72pp document in Photoshop.
    I guess it's due some preference -either in Ai or Ps- someone changed and I don't control.

    That method you mention, exporting from Illustrator in png file with transparency on, is the one I`ve been using since I had found this 96ppi issue while copy/pasting. What's weird is that I only get this 96ppi result in certain computers, reason why I began to suspect that it was something related with the preferences of either Ai or Ps.
    I'm building an icon at 20px precisely because that's exactly the same size it will be shown in the website. You can see a sample here. As you can see we are talking about really small images with few pixels to manage .
    I've never tried what you suggested of using 300ppi images for that task, I'll try.
    As far as I know there is no way to "Save-for-web" as a vector. Since displays show images in pixels I guess there is no way to improve this little icons visibility but building them sharp and clean.

    HI Team, We are doing migration using system export/import method from win2008/SQL2008 to Win2012/SQL2012 . While doing export there was a problem with table  SOFFCONT1 , So we have followed the note 1922094  and changed the size of the package  from  1 GB to 2 GB  in SOFFCONT1.cmd , After this We have exported the data from the source system using SWPM tool. Now we are importing in to Target system , During the Import ABAP phase we are facing the below issue for same table SOFFCONT1 . Could you please tell us how to fix this issue .   • Resolution issue with macbook pro 13 (late 2013) and dell u2711

    I have a Dell U2711 (native resolution 2560x1440) that I use without issue with a macbook pro late 2007 (running 10.10.x), various iMacs and Macbook air 2011 running 10.10. When I say without issue, the display works at its native resolution.
    Last week we got a MacBook Pro 13in, late 2013 model.
    If I connect this macbook via either thunderbolt connection to the u2711 using either DVI port on the dell, the maximum resolution that I can use is 1920x1080. I am using apple mini displayport to DVI adaptors (I have tried 2 different ones and 2 different DVI cables, with no improvement). Clicking option + scaled in sys prefs does not give the native resolution as an option.
    However, I just discovered that if I use a DVI to HDMI adaptor and I connect the macbook to the display I get the full native resolution without issue (2560x1440).
    I have zapped the pram, powered down the display etc etc etc and it made no difference.
    I would prefer to use the mini DIsplayPort to DVI adaptor rather than HDMI, any suggestions appreciated.
