DL 380 G5?

We are currently running Call Manager, Unity, and IPCC Express on HP DL 380 G3?s. Every 3 years on our critical server we put them on new hardware. HP is no longer selling the G4?s with SCSI drives. Is Cisco or anyone running these products on the new G5?s with SAS drives? Is anyone running on the DL320 G5 with SATA?

Time Machine stops writing to drive at 380 of 390 GB

I'm using Time Machine to do a full backup of my computer for the first time. I have a WD MyBook Pro Edition II set as a striped 1T raid connected via FW800 with no other FW devices connected. After 4 hours the progress bar stopped at 380 of 390 GB and claims to be still backing up files. However it has been at that point for almost an extra hour now. Activity monitor shows no disk activity and I can't even see Time Machine listed as a process. I tried stopping TM by clicking on the "x" and it claimed it was stopping, but after a few minutes it reverted to "backing up XXXXX items with no increase in the number of bytes transfered. Force Quit does not list TM.
What do I do now?

+I looked at my external disk and it looks like it is one partition and of the right format already. I verified the disk - everything appears fine. Could I be mislead by what I see in Disk Utility? Should I go through these gyrations anyhow?+
It wouldn't hurt but highly doubtful that it would help. Start a new topic explaining what specific problem you are having and what you have tried to do to fix it, if anything. There also might be a hint or two in Console about why Time Machine is not working properly for you. Launch Console which is in Applications > Utilities. Choose All Messages in the left pane of Console and type in "backupd" in the search window without the quotes to see the Time Machine log. Post any errors or complaints that show up in the log.
+By the way, can you copy a Time Machine backup database from one computer to another and back again after an erase and maintain its integrity?+
I'm not sure what you mean be copying from one computer to another. If you mean copying the Time Machine backups from one disk to another it's been a mixed bag using either Disk Utility or Carbon Copy Cloner going by the posts from people who have tried it. One would expect that using the Restore function in Disk Utility ought to work.

HP Proliant 380 G4 / SmartArray 6 / HP driver / No Floppy disk.

And here I am with a "nice" problem:
I want to run Solaris on a HP Proliant 380 G4 series with SmartArray 6. HP kindly provide drivers for Solaris 10 on their homepage. Those drivers need to be extracted to a floppy disk. Now here is where the trouble starts: I do not have a floppy disk drive for ther server nor is it easy to just plug one in. I've tried a USB floppy disk drive which at least got me as far as the first part of the installation. It then fails when it tries to actually install the driver onto the system as it does not know anything about USB drives.
I somehow need to inject the driver to the system without having a floppy drive. I'm not sure if you can do this on installation or by somehow copying the files onto the installation ISO or using jumpstart.
Any clues or hints how this might work would be very much appreciated. I'm sitting here with my head spinning.

OK, Solaris 10 should have less issues with USB floppy support than
older Solaris 9 or Solaris 8 releases.

Yep, that's a known bug in the Solaris 10 x86 GUI installer. It didn't
exist in Solaris 9 x86 and older.
When the GUI installer is in use, the final step of installing the extra
driver from the ITU floppy prompts for something on /dev/console,
but with the S10 installer GUI running there's no way to type
/dev/console input.

If the GUI installer is running, right click on the desktop and open a
"Terminal" window, to get a shell.
If you run the "ptree" command when the installation has stopped after
copying the packages from CD1 to the HDD, you should notice the
following processes:

The last one ("inst9.sh", PID 9348 in my case), is blocked in a read()
system call waiting for data from /dev/console (this can be verified with
"pstack $pid" and "pfiles $pid").
You can use "kill -9 $pid" to stop that inst9.sh process which hangs the
installer.
Before you kill inst9.sh, manually mount the ITU floppy from the USB
floppy drive and install the raid drivers manually.
Btw.: I'm not 100% sure, but the installation from CD1 is probably
complete anyway and the only thing missing is the raid array driver from
HP's ITU floppy. In this case it should be sufficient to boot into single user
mode from the S10 x86 installation CD/DVD (but don't forget to add HP's
raid array drivers from the USB floppy). At the "select type of installation"
prompt (options 1 .. 4) use "b -s" to boot into CD single user mode.
On the single user shell, mount both the the raid array and the UFS floppy
and use the "install.sh" script on the ITU floppy to install the missing
raid array driver to the raid array.

Virtualized UC applications from Cisco are only supported on the UC on UCS platform using ESXi 4.0, 4.0 Update 1, or 4.1 - hypervisor support may vary based on application.

Infotype 380 : need to manage Pay grade and Pay Grade Level, possible ?

in my process i need to manage the pay grade and the pay grade level. In the structure of the infotype 380 this fields are present, but not display in IT0380 in PA20/PA30.

For this in Infotype you will be using Rumenration type as payscale type.
You need config the Pay scale grade level.

I am planning to buy and install CCM 4.X or higher version on HP/Compaq DL 380 or DL 320. when i looked at the Cisco Approved Hardware requirements sheet i found the model that i am planning to buy... with dual PIII or dual Xeon on DL 380 G3. The Cisco document says
"DL380-G2 is a robust server solution designed for Cisco Unified Communications software
applications. Up to 7500 IP phones can be supported on a single server running Cisco
CallManager 3.3 or later. The required processors are dual Intel Pentium III 1.4-GHz processors. No specific memory configuration is required as long as 2 GB of memory is achieved".
Just wanted to make sure with NetPro's before buying the server that i am able to install and practice myself on CCM 4.X or higher versions.
Also, wondering.. Is DL 360 is also on the approved list ??? and is it possible to install CCM on it

XAI Schema Editor: Run-Time Error 380

I created a new Page Maintenance object that I am planning to expose via XAI. I deployed the compiled JAR to my local development copy of CC&B. When I started Schema Editor and tried to create a new service schema, I was able to find my service in the list of available services. However, when I chose my service, I received the error "Run-time Error '380': Invalid property value". Now every time I restart Schema Editor and try to create a new service schema, I get the same error, even before I can select my service from the list.
Has anyone run into this problem before?

Do you mean when you attempt to select a Service? i.e. from Schemas->Create->Service?
If so, the recently/last selected/searched service is written to the registry in the following path:
HKEY_CURREN_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CISXAI\Recents
HKEY_USERS\{Class ID}\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CISXAI\Recents
under key 'G3Service'.
Empty the key value or replace it with some known service name.
Note: Backup your registry before making any changes.

Lg wave ax-380 recieving files

I got a new lg wave ax-380 and i've been able to connect it to my mac via bluetooth and ive sent files to my mac but when i attempt to send music of photos to my phone it says that the device will not accept it. I have even changed the format of my music in itunes to mp3. Also i cannot find out how to access my address book. When connecting with the mac i am only able to select use address book and not the using internet option because i have not gotten a password from alltel would that fix my problem or what can i do?

Will the Sapphire R9 380 work with the chicago motherboard?

Hello,I am about to buy a new graphics card for my older Pavilion and I'm thinking about buying this R9 380 from Sapphire.I've heard that people have had problems with the legacy BIOS of the motherboard in this PC (IPISB-CH2) and I'd like to know if the same problems would occur with this graphics card. I think it has dual bios which (I assume) would make the card compatible with older motherboards. I've made sure every other component works with the card. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! -Max

Hjalpmovie, welcome to the forum. If you read the Specifications tab in the link that you provided, it states that a power supply unit (PSU) of no less than 500W is required. The PSU in your computer is only 460W. I suggest at least 600W to assure that you have enough power for future upgrades. You should also measure the space where the card fits to assure that it will accept a card that is 9.5" (237.35 mm). It has a hybrid VBIOS that allows it to work with a Legacy or UEFI BIOS. If it were me, I would contact the manufacturer to assure that it will work before ordering it. This will save the shipping to return it if it doesn't work for some reason. Hi, I hope someone have SBS 380 speaker system.
Can anyone tell me the output specifications for ?What is your AC adapter model number?My AC adapter is 2V 2.9A output (model#MAG20290THG) but the manual indicates 10V 1.2 A !!...what is wrong?I bought this speaker system yesterday. It was the last one and the salesman had to pack the content because it was in shop window. I think he mistook the power supply adaptper of another Creative speaker system, not SBS 380 !!The store is too far and I can't come back. I would go with what's listed on the manual... If I were you, I woudl return to the store and ask the salesman properly...and have if test it on the spot...

Motherboard NIC driver OptiPlex 380 win7

Windows 7 ultra could not find a driver for a Dell Optiplex 380. I went to your driver site and entered my service tag. I also detected the device. Neither path found a NIC driver for this Dell. Please point me to the correct NIC win 7 64 bit driver. With an internet connection, I can't move forward on the rebuild.

Hi, There is very little information about the compatibilty of the AMD R9 380 and HP ProDesk 400 G1. You have a fairly new PC so there is a good chance that the AMD R9 380 will work. Know what the return policy is before you buy.
