DLLs not found
We have an application using parts of the measurement studio and the Ni-Visa32.dll. On the development PC, with installed measurement studio, the applicatíon works very well. Now we want to distribute this application and so we made a deployment project. When we install the generated setup on a target PC, where MSVS and measurement studio is not installed, there a some missing DLLs. Dependency walker shows us
NIVISV32.dll
NIPALU.dll
NIORBU.DLL
NIMDBGU.DLL
NIMSTSU.DLL
NIMXDFU.DLL
NIDMXFU.DLL
NIMERCU.DLL
NIPESRU.DLL
as not found.
How we have to make the deployment project to avoid this problem ?
Gerhard
Gerhard,
if you are using VISA functions in your application, the VISA runtime engine must be installed on the target PC prior to running the application. Therefore, you can either install the runtime engine manually, or include the NI-VISA Runtime Engine Setup as a custom action in your installer routine.
The NI-VISA Runtime Engine Setup file can be downloaded here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1071/lang/de
A starting point for custom actions in the MSVS's installer settings might be this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa368066.aspx
Best regards,

Prompted to upgrade iTunes on computer. Won't let me and get error message MSVVR80.dll not found. Attempted to reinstall, won't let me. Can you have iTunes and iCloud on the same computer?

Having difficulty accessing I Tunes on my Windows 7 Vista.
Error messages are two fold:
1. MSVCR80.dll not found. Reinstall may help correct prob.
2. Windows Error 126.Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

Can you help with error message on installing itunes on Windows XP: error message MSVCR80.dll not found. Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Error 7 Windows error 126.
Deleting itunes and reinstalling does not fix it.Solving the iTunes Installation Problems in Windows

My operating system is Windows XP SP3. I have Adobe 11.0.08 installed. I cannot print a pdf file/document. Error message - AeroRd32.exe - Unable To Locate Component - "Application failed to start because lxdautil.dll not found." Any suggestions?
That DLL is part of your printer driver; reinstall or update the device driver for your printer, and the message should go away.

Error 7 (Windows error 126) avFoundationcf.dll not found.
Error 7 (Windows error 126) avFoundationcf.dll not found. windows 7 64bit, I've tried everything, but it dosn't work, please help.
Update .netframework to latest version (see apple support)
then
Follow the instructions on this link, basically un-install everything, remove programs that says they are made by apple inc. (using add remove program)
http://www.reimageplus.com/fix-windows-127-error/ (Many thanks to reimageplus.com)
You will also need to check and verify that the following folders have been removed:
C:\Program Files\Bonjour
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
C:\Program Files\iTunes
C:\Program Files\iPod
C:\Program Files\QuickTime
C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime
C:\Windows\System32\QuickTimeVR
dont forget to remove icloud also
you dont need to delete your itune music library though
If any of these folders still exist, delete them along with their contents. (if you cant delete them, right click and go to properties and then security and change the control of the fold to you)
do this for files under program files and program file (x86) on your computer
once you have deleted everything, restart your computer. Then I repaired my registry using a registry repair program.
Important:- instead of installing itunes I installed quick time, which installs apple application support (this is the corrupt file which is causing all the issues)
i then installed itunes and it all worked fine,
should take no longer than half hour to fix
hope this helps -
cannot reinstall itunes, i get this message MSVCR80.dll not found. Try to reinstall itunes and i get error 7 (Windows erro 126) help please

Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"
Calendar Server installation gets error "libnmspr20.dll not found"
<P>
When installing Calendar Server 3.5 on NT near the end an error
occurs: "libnmspr20.dll not found " and then it will exit the setup
without completion.
This is a bug because it is looking for the libnmspr20.dll in the
system path but the Calendar Server installation has left it in a
temp directory. This does not occur if the Netscape Messaging Server
has been previously installed on the same host. A workaround is, when
the error message displays, you DON'T press ok, but search your
computer for the missing file (usually found in temp-directory).
You then copy the file to a directory in your system path. Now you
can press the OK button and the installation will fail. Re-install
the calendar server, this time the installation won't fail.Installing Latest JRE on NT4 sp6a produces the same error:
InstallShield DLL Custom Action:
File 'C:\TEMP\RegUtils.dll' can not be found. Make sure the file is on the target system or installed already.
I searched www.installshield.com since the error is an installer error and the installer is InstallShield. NO results found there either.
Seems like the installer team needs to brush up on the NT4 platform. -
Avfoundationcf.dll "Not Found" [FIX]
I discovered how to fix the problem of "avfoundationcf.dll Not Found" in windows xp 32 bit
You just need to Uninstall and Re-Install the 'AppleApplicationSupport"
Just go to this directory "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\Installer Cache\" and chose the directory "AppleApplicationSupport" with the higher version, my directory is "AppleApplicationSupport 2.1.6" Inside of this directory just run "AppleApplicationSupport.msi" and chose "Remove" when it finish run this file again and chose "Install"
It worked for me
Hope it help :]This procedure might work or might not work:
Download the free Ccleaner and repair your Registry (repeat until clear)
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
Uninstall iTunes according to Apple's directions here
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Use Ccleaner and repair your Registry again just in case.
Then download/install iTunes again from the Apple website
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Your iTunes content will not be removed,
Please regularly backup your iTunes content to external medium (hard drive, cd/dvd's) using the File>Backup Library in iTunes. Apple will not reissue new copies of content.
(Notice: this post is a copy/paste in a hope that a uninstall/reinstall and repair of your Registry may solve your particular issue, Windows issues are particular difficult to resolve due to multiple factors, so my advice is to be taken into advisement with others recommendations which may be more specific or experienced in resolving your issue. MAX says visa32.dll not found in WINNT\system32 directory. File is there, have reinstalled and rebooted just to be sure. Same error. Why?
Hi,
What version of VISA are you using? What version of MAX?. What OS are you using?
You can try using the lastest version, NI-VISA 3.0. The installer also includes the lastest version of MAX (3.0). The installer can be found in the Driver and Updates >> NI-VISA

I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 (I know it's old, I'm in the process of upgrading it now to 2012) on an old HP ProLiant server. It's worked for ages, but yesterday morning it booted up with the blue screen of death, saying:
STOP c0000135 unable to locate component csrsrv.dll not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
I have tried coping the file from C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\csrsrv.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\ using a WS2003R2 recovery disk, but it still doesn't work. I'm not sure what to do now...
I do have backups, but I'd prefer just to get this server back up and running so that I can continue to migration so that I can decommission it permanently and put it out to pasture...
Any help and guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! If copying the DLL does not help then I would recommend doing a system state restore from a backup.
