DM 4.6 Sync problem due to no internet connection

Hi Guys,
I have been searching all the forums with no help at this point. I have just upgraded from 4.5 to 4.6 (without media) and now I can't sync
I have reinstalled twice now and also made sure the AVG is disabled and also my firewall. The problem is I keep getting the
  "The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to initially configure synchronization settings. Please ensure that you are able to connect to the Internet and try again."
This is bloody frustrating. I have one forum mention to open port 4101 (Did this and then disabled firewall)
But Im sure this is mainly for BES where I am using BIS.
Please help, this is driving me bloody bonkers
 I'm synchronizing via USB and running XP. I have also tried another USB port and also installed/ installed COM 5

Hi and welcome to the forums!
First when you upgraded DM's did you do a clean after the removal:

Try this remove the current DM and run the un-install procedure,
Reinstall. See if you can sync, If not try the following:
 Modify the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installationTo modify the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installation to use the correct email redirection method, perform the following:
On the computer, click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
Select the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, and then click Change/Remove. An installation wizard will open.
Click Next.
Select the Modify radio button.
Click Next.
Highlight BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and then click Next.
Click the check box next to the redirection method appropriate for the BlackBerry device (either BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Desktop Redirector or BlackBerry Internet Service), and then click Next.
Click Next.
Select Install.
If prompted to find the BlackBerry Desktop Software on the network, navigate to the BlackBerry Desktop Software on the computer or shared drive, and then click OK.
If prompted to enter the BlackBerry Desktop Manager CD, insert the CD, and then click OK.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue,

  • I'm having problems with my mobile internet connection

    I'm having problems with my mobile internet connection. Wifi works fine. It seems like my connection get lost every tuesday and friday between 11 and 12 am local time (guess it would be between 2 and 3 am Los angeles time for example). The connection won't comeback by itself. I have to turn the phone, iPhone 4s iOS 5.0.1, off and back on again. The connection immediatly works fine after the restart and stays fine for days. I really don't know what to do. My provider doesn't seem to know either. Tried a lot of things, new settings, resets, I even got a new iPhone. Still the same problem however. Richt now I changes the time setting to see it the problem occurs at another time. Btw: the phone doesn't say "no service" and I can send sms messages and make phonecalls. The 3G symbol or the circular symbol is shown next to the name of the provider.
    Does somebody has an idea what this might be? Thanks a lot.

    Update. My carrier says the antenna of my iPhone 4s is not so good as the one in the iPhone 3G. They can't solve the problem. Their signal is too weak for the 4s at places I spend most of my time. Not the answer I expected, but I'm free to choose an other carrier. Hope this will help.

    Problem with not getting Internet Connect on AirPort Express (version7.6.4). Error says cannot get valid IP address. Have reset Siemens SpeedStream 4100 several time, even with tech support from the big "A" DSL provider. Plug MacBook Pro directly into modem and works fine. Unplugged AirPort, even reset it, still no luck. A bad Express?? or am not looking in the right place to make connection. Was working fine up until Sunday.

    Connect the AirPort Express (AX) to the cable modem via Ethernet cable.
    In configuring the AX using AirPort Utility:
    Under Internet, set the connection to be Ethernet using DHCP.
    Under Connection Sharing, set it to distribute a range of IP addresses.
    Under AirPort>Wireless, set the Wireless Mode to Create a wireless network, and fill in the remaining settings in the same window. Until you get it working, you might want to set Wireless Security to None.

    If your computer's connection is slow then you can update your iOS from your phone.
    Find a free, strong Wi-Fi network.
    Go to Settings>General>Software Update>choose option "Download and Install"
    Benefit: if you update phone through this method the actual download size will be only 30 to 50 MB only! and it works fine! if you try to download iOS from iTunes it will goes around 800MB.

    Do you have a firewall that may be blocking?
    Try temporarily turning off Internet Security/Anti-virus software whilst connecting to Adobe secure servers.

    Every time I try to download ios6 update, it tells me it is unable to verify because of lost internet connection.  Need some help to fix

    when i try to sync my music which i have on my PC's itunes it will just not transfere on the phone. everything will sync [apps, videos, contacts] but the music will just not transfere.
    and when i try to download the music from the phone's itunes store it will say "Error. Tap again to retry".
    Thera are no more details i have! i have no idea why the songs will not sync and will not download!

  • Problem with Boot Camp internet connection

    I use Boot Camp only for playing games, and everything is working perfectly except for my internet connection.
    That is, it works perfectly for some time then without any apparent reason it just loses connection.
    It usually works for about 2 hours, then simply disconnects, without offering any explanation.
    A restart solves this problem for another couple of hours, then it disconnects again.
    This is quite bothersome when trying to play an MMO for any extended period of time.
    I am connected to the internet via router that is directly plugged into the iMac and don't have any problems on OS X.
    I'm running Windows 7 on Boot Camp and everything is working perfectly except for this.
    Anyone have similar problems or any idea what this might be and how to solve it?

  • ITune sync problem due to harddisk erase

    Hi there,
    I had a boot camp problem, so Apple service staff erased the hard disk and reintalled the Mac OSX.
    I tried to transfer my musics and files from iPod to Mac through sync, but I could not do that. The error message was 'My iPod is synced with another iTune library and An iPod can sync with only one iTunes library at a time'. Actually I am not sure why my iPod is synced with another iTunes library....
    Any help?

  • Problems establishing a wired internet connection after fresh install

    I had this problem about half a year ago and had posted about it on these forums. Shortly after, I had given up due to having too much else on my plate at the time. Now I'm ready to give it another try, but I seem to be hitting the same wall as last time. I didn't want to necromance such an old thread, so I figured that I should create this one.

    I'm still very much a newbie when it comes to Arch Linux and Linux in general, but I feel that I'm taking a bit more time to learn about each individual configuration file this time (rushing it was my downfall last time). I have the Beginners Guide printed out and have used that throughout the installation.
    So I have just installed archlinux-2009.02-core-i686 on my old Dell Dimension B110 with no problems at all. I have edited the rc.conf file so that the hostname matches up with the one in /etc/hosts. I have also made sure that eth0="dhcp" and that routes=(!gateway).
    I read on another forum that I should replace eth0 with the appropriate interface name. So I ran ifconfig -a and it then listed three interfaces. Here's a short description of each:
    lo            link encap: local loopback
                  inet addr:127.0.0.1 mask:255.0.0.0
                  up loopback running mtu:16436 metric:1
                  the rest of the values were 0
    wlan0     link encap: ethernet hwaddr  00:11:95:8d:2e:af
                 braodcast multicast mtu:1500 metric:1
    wmaster0   link encap: unspec hwaddr 00-11-95-8d-2e-af-00-00-00-00-00-00
                     broadcast multicast mtu:1500 metric:1
    As I said before, I'm very new to Archlinux, Linux in general, and also am not very knowledgeable about computer hardware (yet).  So I'm not entirely sure what lo, wlan0 and wmaster0 represent. I read on another forum that wmaster0 is definitely not it. So I'm guessing it is wlan0? I also have a wireless card installed, but I am not concerned with messing with that until I have my wired connection working.
    Is it necessary at all for me to replace eth0 with one of the above in my rc.conf?
    Should my rc.conf look something like wlan0="dhcp" ?  (note: I have tried this and so far it has not worked).
    Every time I ping -c 3 www.google.com, the host is not found.

    @Mr. Elendig: I just did ifconfig -a, and it finally listed eth0! But I'm actually not sure if it was there the first time or not - I think I may have forgotten to scroll up the first time I did ifconfig -a *smacks self*. It was just recently that I found out how to use Shift + PgUp/Dwn to scroll. So I don't know if it was the modprobe that did it or not - either way it's showing up now. Here's the output for eth0:
    eth0      link encap: ethernet hwaddr 00:16:76:19:21:a0
                broadcast multicast mtu:1500  metric: 1
                the rest of the values were 0 except for txqueuelen: 1000
    @B: Oh, I completely forgot about looking at the man page for it, probably would have been a good idea. I'll go ahead and do that for now on.

    Sometimes when I turn on my iMac, the graphics are horrible and can not connect to the Internet. When this happens, I have to restart the Lion.
    Apple introduced the "iMac FW Graphic Update 3.0". The information says clearly that supports Brazilian Portuguese. Butwhen I install, an error appears: "this software is not compatible with your system".
    My Lion is in Brazilian Portuguese. Why it is not compatible? How do I install it? How can I solve this problem?
    Note: The technical assistance of Apple changed the HD, according to recall made ​​by Apple through the site. The HD is new.
