  • About country specific functionalities

    Hello all,
    I want to ask question about country specific functionalities. I found that when I installed fresh database. Now, let say I want to choose a country but that country is not on that list, what do I use then? The nearest neighbor country? Would there any problem with that later on?
    If I choose a country now and later on I want to change it, can I do that? If yes, how and is there any problem?
    thanks.

    i dont think you can choose the closest counrty its not like that, unless both conurty using same setup for let say HR legsalation and things like that.
    for ex. jordan is not lestad in the countries and HRMS in jordan is diffrent then Sudia so we dont choose sudia becase its close to jordan we keep the defualt
    it all depend on the functionaly that you are using

  • What is time dependent / independent master data ? what impact it has

    Hi All,
    Please let me know what is time dependent / independent master data ? what impact it has on the data.
    Kindly suggest .
    Regards,
    Sushmita

    Hi Sushmita,
    I will expain to you by taking an example.
    Suppose you have customer and that customer have location as attribute.
    So this customer may change from one location to another location from time to time so here you have to maintain time dependent master data for this customer.
    You have to maintain below like this
    Customer   from_data   to_date    location.
    c100          01/9/2008     12/12/2008   bang
    c100          13/12/2008    22/1/2009    Hyd
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • 05-Tolerance limit (absolute) Independent validation

    Hi,
    Can any one expalin how the Independent validation 05-tolerance limits (absolute) works during the meter reading result entry with an example.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Oven

    Hi Richard,
    Tolerance Limit (Absolute) is used for checking consumption against limit set in absolute terms.
    eg: Expected consumtion = 100 and positive deviation = 20 and Negative Deviation = 5.
    So the limit will be from 95 to 120.
    Tolerance Limit (Relative) is used for checking consumption against relative terms in percentage.
    eg: Expected consumption = 100 and Postive deviation = 80 % and Negative Valiadtion = 20 %.
    So the limit will be from 80 to 180.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Lot size dependent / independent

    Hi, please advise when the system uses this lot size times data in mrp4 view? Where we need to specify that whether lot size dependent or independent need to select? When the system uses this data and when the system uses the planned delivery days and in-house production days which is in mrp2? Pls advise.

    Dear,
    Planned Delivery Time use for  external procurement Like raw materials.
    In-house production time use for in house manufacture materials like HELB and FERT.
    In-house production time is independent of the order quantity.
    Lot size depnendent timing calculate from the routing.  It is calculated byadding the lead times of all operations, the float before production, and the float after production.
    You schedule the routing for a base qty The in the scheduling results screen click the button" scheduling results"
    You will get the results screen in days.
    In that screen at the botton there is abutton update material master.
    After this go to CA96 There update the material master.
    Please refer this link,

  • Client dependant/independant

    Hello All,
    Can anybody please tell me, Configuration and Desing in Integration Builder is client dependant or independant?
    Thanks.

    Hi Kinnari,
    I complety mistook ur question. IR and ID are based on Java Stack.
    lets say you are doing Xi development on XI Client 10. Add you want to access interface definitions in Client 20 on the same machine. then you can. all the clients on the same machine will have access to every thing. say if you go to tcode: sproxy  in client 20 , you can see all the interfaces defined in client 10.
    so for testing you dont have to transport anything between clients.

  • Usage of ADF's validation and custom validation together ??

    Hello all..
    My apologize if this query already in place...
    Well, I've a situation where which I need a way to combine/club my application specific validation error messages with the ADF component's messages.
    For example:
    1) ADF's component validator:
    <af:selectInputDate label="#{msg.dob}" value="#{bean.DOB}" showRequired="true" >
    <f:convertDateTime type="date" pattern="yyyy-MM-dd"/>
    <af:validateDateTimeRange minimum="#{action.minDate}" maximum="#{action.todayDate}" notInRangeMessageDetail="#{msg.dateRange}" />
    </af:selectInputDate>
    2) Also, I've my business specific custom validations perfomed on click of action button on my form. Where I use ..
    public void addFacesMessage(Severity msgSeverityType, String message)
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addMessage(null, new FacesMessage(msgSeverityType, message, message));
    for adding the error messages to context -
    As part of the life cycle, the validators in the form level is fired first and I don't have scope for the request processing/action in order to run thru my buisness method. So always my component's error messages are fired alone - This way my custom validations are not invoked. Is there a way that we can combine both set of error messages together and render them as a common error msg list using <af:messages> tag ?
    If so, please provide me the link to the article!!!
    Your help on this context will be very helpful....Thanks in advance!!!

  • Dependent selectonechoice validation problem

    I have in my page two dependent selectonechoice's, the first of countries an second of states. States has a not null validation. First time two selectonechoice's starts with a blank item first, nothing selected, the problem is when I select a country the selectonechoice of states execute the validation before filters the states and I never can't select states. Sorry for my english....

    Or use empty values in lov, then validation won't trigger on client side.

  • Return specific number of rows depending on the data in a column in table

    Hi,
    I have a table named orders which has column orderid and noofbookstoorder in addition to other columns.
    I want to query the orders table and depending on the value of the 'noofbookstoorder' value return that number of rows.
    Eg
    Orderid noofbookstoorder
    1 1
    2 3
    3 2
    when I query the above data saying
    select * from orders where orderid=2;
    since it has noofbookstoorders value as 3 the query should return 3 rows and when I query
    select * from orders where orderid=3;
    it should return 2 rows and
    select * from orders where orderid=1;
    should return 1 row.
    Is it possible to achieve this. If yes, then how do I write my query.
    Thanks in advance.

  • IVI specific drivers usage in Teststand

    Hi,
    I am using Teststand 2.0.1 and i want to use some of the IVI specific drivers in my application. Can somebody guide me how to do that. Another clarification, if we use the IVI drivers which fall into any of the classes how do we achieve the interchangeability? Is it only through MAX that we achieve it.
    Regards,
    Siddu

    Siddu 140,
    I am not one of our TestStand supporters so I may not understand your core question exactly...but I'll give it a shot! We can keep track of our IVI drivers and IVI sessions in MAX as Aaron alluded to. You will have an IVI Drivers tab in your Configuration window in MAX where you can perform a variety of actions. From what I understand, once you have correctly configured your IVI Driver in MAX you can see it in TestStand. I have attached a ZIP file containing a text file of instructions and screenshots pertaining to the instructions that discuss how one configures IVI Drivers in MAX. Also the help window on the right-hand side of MAX when you select the IVI Drivers tab is a great resource (see also: National Instruments' IVI for more information).
    With regards to the CAN driver there really isn't the concept of a CAN IVI driver. National Instruments provides a CAN driver for our CAN product line. More information on National Instruments CAN products can be found here: National Instruments' CAN.
    I hope this information helps out and if you have any other questions please post back!

  • How to capture Browser Specific functionalities

    Hai,
      Any body please help me on  How to Capture Browser specific functinalities, for example , How to get Refresh button is pressed or not
    regards
    somu

    How would you even do this in other technologies (JSP, ASP, etc.)? As far as I know it is not possible to "capture" browser events such as refresh or when the user clicks the "Back" or "Forward" buttons.  This is not a WebDynpro-specific limitation.

  • Inter Dependent Field Validation in SAP standard TCODEs

    Is it possible to build a relationship betwen Screen or Selection Fields. Example Plant and StorageLocation. Default behaviour is SAP shows all possible values even if an interdendent restricting value has been entered - this makes users irritated.
    In ABAP it is possible to do Conditional POV on F4 help
    - it is tricky you need
    'DYNP_VALUES_READ'
    'CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI_INPUT'
    'DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE'
    'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
    Further Selection screen restrictions can be done by CALL FUNCTION 'SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT'
    Hand coded ABAP programs can make Users experience rich & easy.
    How to do the same to the best extent possible in all SAP standard TCODES. If a screen field or selection or parameter is filled in then any other screen field selections or parameters should only show restricted values  - example Plant if filled in, will show only Storage locations of that plant/plants.
    I realize that the way SAP keeps RANGE & SELECTION data with both Inclusive/Exclusive SIGN & complext OPTIONs is not conducive to conditional POV as far as Selection screens are conccerned. But what about EnjoySAp screens?
    This is genuine user need & I cannot imagine that there is no easy solution!
    For example in a Hospital for Diagnostic tests you enter DEPAERTNET (Xray, Pathology etc) and then TEST - then POV of test should TESTs ONLY of relevant department. Having filled in XRAY no user wants to "wade" through "Urine tests"!
    Such restrictions & interfield validations also ensure that processing is never wrong. The mistakes users do are often attributed to the weakness in this area & it is not possible or desirable to write BAdIs for all SAP TCODEs.

    -jnc

    Hi,
      You the go into debug mode and check at which statement the validation is carried out. (Most of the time it is done by checking the sy-subrc value ). Now put a session breakpoint at this statement. After this every time when the transaction is executed, you can change the value of the variable that is tested and bypass the validation.
      But if you are in production system, you wont be authorized to go into debug mode.

  • Sampling scheme: usage indicator dependency

    1.) I have removed the last reference to a sampling scheme X in a sampling procedure
    2.) Table QDSV is not showing any references to scheme X any longer
    3.) Nevertheless QDP2/3 is still showing "Used in procedure" as checked
    Does anyone have an idea why this is the case? Will this flag never go away, even if no references exist any longer?
    Thanks
    Martin

    Hello Sandip,
    can you also tell me from where SAP gets the information that the scheme is still used in old inspection plans/lots? The reference itself over the procedure is not there any longer...so there has to be a different place where this information is still present, right?
    Digging a bit in the ABAP coding, I could only find the place where the indicator is set(MQDSVF10):
    FORM BUCHEN_QDSV_STPRPLAN_VW_KZ.
    * QDPK nachlesen.
      CALL FUNCTION 'QDTA_QDPK_READ'
           EXPORTING  I_STPRPLAN = QDSV-STPRPLAN
           IMPORTING  E_QDPK     = QDPK
           EXCEPTIONS NOT_FOUND  = 1.
    *      Fehlerbehandlung
           IF SY-SUBRC EQ 1.
             MESSAGE E224 WITH QDSV-STPRPLAN.
           ENDIF.
    * Verbuchung des Kennzeichens anstossen, wenn nocht nicht gesetzt.
      IF QDPK-KZVWPKSV IS INITIAL.
        MOVE KREUZ TO QDPK-KZVWPKSV.
        CALL FUNCTION 'QDBU_QDPK_USAGE_IND_POST' IN UPDATE TASK
             EXPORTING I_QDPK = QDPK.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
    And there is only a place where the usage indicator is deactivated, that is when you copy the sampling scheme in a new one (MQDSPF10).
    --> So I rather wonder if SAP has really planned that the indicator is reset at all. I assume that it is rather a "one time used, indicator is checked for ever".

    Martin

  • Index usage in depending on where clause changes.

    Hello Friends,
    I need your help for one issue.
    I have one query , which is using two table Say T1 and T2, where C1 is common column using which both are joined.
    C1 is primary key in T1, but no index available in T2 for C1. T1C2 is the column which we want to select.
    (Note that Either of table can be a Master table)
    Now see the query:
    Select T1C2
    From T1, T2
    where T2.C1 = T1.C1
    Here where clause may have other conditions and From clause may have others tables as per requirements.
    I want to know that, if, I change the query like following to let my query use the available index of T1.C1.
    Select T1C2
    from T1, T2
    where T1.C1 = T2.C1
    Then, Will the query use the available index of T1. and Will i get better performance. Even a little improvement in performance may help me a lot as this kind of query is being used within a where loop (so it is going to be executed multiple times).
    Please advise on this..

  • Dependant Validation Type in General Ledger

    Can we make use of Dependant Validation Type in General Ledger, the need arises because we have 2 segments States and Branches. Now the Branches are dependant based on the States. So can I make use of Dependant Validation Type. Since Oracle recommends only Independant Validation will this have any impact
    Regards
    Dinesh

    Hello,
    I create a validation on a new custom field (for example XXX).
    According to the status group this field is mandatory.
    So, when I try to post a FB50L, I enter the accout in the line item and a value is required for this field XXX.
    If I put a value different from one in a specific set (entered in the validation) I have an error message.
    But, if I populate in the header the field Ledger Group with 0L I can populate the field XXX with every value and the validation doesn't work.
    Hope, now is more clear.
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Cheers,
    Emanuela
