DM v6 will no longer detect my phone

I recently updated my DM to version 6 and it stopped detecting my bold9000
everytime i run my DM and connect my phone nothing happens. then whenever i try to close the DM it just won't close. i have to go to my task manager to manually end task.
please assist this issue. I am on windows xp SP3
I have already did the following:
1.    Install the desktop manager software – when installing the Desktop Manage software that came with your device be sure to Not have the BlackBerry connected to the computer during this process.
2.    Always use the USB ports from the back of the computer; never use a USB hub or a docking station USB port.
3.    If you have another UBS cable you can try doing that to make sure it is not the cable causing the issue.
4.    If you are using a laptop computer disable the power management settings. 
    a.    For Windows-XP and Vista do the following to disable power management on the USB ports
        i.     On the computer, right-click My Computer and select Properties.
        ii.    Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
        iii.    Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
        iv.    Right-click the USB Root Hub and select Properties.
        v.     Click the Power Management tab, and clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
        vi.    Click OK.
        vii.    Repeat steps i. through vi. for each USB Root Hub listed in BlackBerry Device Manager.
5.    If you have uninstalled and reinstalled the Desktop Manager Software trying using the following knowledge base article to do a “clean uninstall” of the software. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206
6.    The existing USB driver installed is for an earlier model of the BlackBerry smartphone.
    a.    Manually upgrade the USB driver for the BlackBerry smartphone by completing the following steps:
        i.     Right-click My Computer and select Properties > Hardware > Device Manager.
        ii.     Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, verify that the BlackBerry smartphone is found.
        iii.    If an exclamation mark is displayed, right-click the BlackBerry smartphone and select Update Driver.
        iv.    If the Hardware Update Wizard prompts you to use Windows Update, select No not this time and click Next.
        v.     Choose Install from a list or specific location and click Next.
        vi.    Choose Don't search. I will choose the driver to install and click Next.
        vii.    Click Have Disk and then choose Browse.
        viii.   Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers.
        ix.    Double-click on RimUsbNT.inf, click OK, and then click Next.

I have found that on my two computers (one work and one home), I have to plug the BlackBerry into the front of the machine. Seems that the USB ports on the back of the machine get overloaded (power draw), and won't connect to the BlackBerry.
On my work machine, plugging in the BlackBerry to the back of the computer even took out the keyboard. I had to disconnect and reconnect it before it would work again.
At home, I was plugging the BlackBerry into a powered hub. It worked fine for two or so years, then just stopped.
Might not be a power issue, but try different USB ports on your machine.

    SSID Broadcast is enabled,
    Of the 3 leds on the front left:
    WLAN ACT is not illuminated
    WLAN Link is illuminated [According to the instruction because it is connected to a cable modem],
    POWER is illuminated.
    Of the 3 leds on the front right:
    LINK is illuminated,
    ACT is not illuminated,
    Diag in not illuminated.
    The router has been reset  several times.
    SSID has been changed several times
    Channel number has been changed several times
    WAP was previously 64BIt and has been changed to 128Bit
    Firmware version is the same date as currently on the Linksys web sute for this model.
    I am thinking the "wireless" component is dead.

  • Itunes will no longer recognize my phone

    I just bought the iPhone 5c. When I plugged it in to my old itunes it synced all of my old music. I wanted to start fresh so i made an icloud account and deleted all of those songs. I then signed on with my new account. After this, itunes will no longer display my phone as a device. I tried everything from reinstalling itunes to checking the Apple Mobile Device services and still nothing. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong so I can get some music?!

    1-reinstall itunes(to last version)
    2-reset all setting from settings(on iPhone)
    3-change port of usb to your Computer

    Just bought music on iTunes from phone and then synced to iTunes on my computer and now the music I bought through the phone will not play but still remains in my music library.     In my Sync vehicle, I had to "forget" the SYnc connection in the iPhone Bluetooth settings, then go into the car menu and delete the bluetooth device from the vehicle's system. Once I re-paired from scratch, it has been working fine. Give that a try. If not, try removing the connection from both sides again, then Reset Network Settings from the General Settings before re-pairing.

  • Windows will no longer detect iPhone camera

    I'm sorry to be the millionth person to post a thread about this problem, but I can't seem to find any solution to this problem. My computer simply will not recognize my iPhone 3GS as a camera anymore, so I can't import any of my photos. Yes, it is still recognized in iTunes, and there's still a sound that plays when I plug it in to any of the three USB ports on my ASUS laptop. And yes, I have taken many pictures. The camera roll is not empty.
    Some of the steps I have taken to try to fix the problem:
    Restarting the phone.
    Restarting the computer.
    Trying different USB ports.
    Trying the other Apple USB cables I have.
    Stopping and restarting the Apple Mobile Device Driver and ensuring that it is set to Automatic.
    Reinstalling iTunes.
    Downloading and copying usbaapl.sys to the System32 folder. (It was never there, nor is usbaapl64.sys - I only see usbaaplrc.dll.)
    My phone had been working just fine until very recently. Could the problem have been caused by the recent MMS update?

    I had this problem after updating iTunes, but a reboot of my computer fixed it. Try reinstalling iTunes, and if that doesn't help do a complete uninstall of iTunes, download a fresh copy, and install it. Then reboot again.     The most cited method is to stick it in a plastic bag of uncooked rice, and leave it for a week or even two.  Change the rice every couple of days though.  That will draw out the moisture, but it still may be fried anyway (odds are that anything major happened as soon as it got wet, and things started shorting out).

  • Music will no longer syncs to phone

    I have a BB Pearl 9100, my OS is Windows Vista Home, internet provider is Bell.  I first noticed something was wrong when I receive a phone call yesterday and the ringtone was defaulted to a phone ringtone.  The ringtone was originally a song I synched from my media player. When I tried to reset the song on my phone an error popped up saying it was invalid ...in so many words.  At that point I still had all my music on my phone.
    When I plugged in my USB to my PC it automatically started to sync my music...or tried to.  After it said synch completed and I unplugged  it, my music was completely removed from my phone.  Music is still on BB Desktop on my PC.
    I tried to synch with WIFI on unsuccessfully. I contacted Bell/Blackberry desk, he told me to click on my start and computer, which I could not do because on Vista I have to go tools and maintenance to get my computer...he told me I shouldn't have to do that and I would have to bring in my PC and have it looked at.  
    My inability of finding "my computer" in my programs is another matter. I have a hard time believing it has anything to do with my PC.  I can't remember the last time I synched my music, It's probably been 5 months....maybe that's the problem.  However I did update the desk top software.
    Any help is appreciated, the Pearl is not the most techy BB phone, but I love the smallness and my music.  My music is mostly songs from Puretracks and ripped CDs.

    I checked the songs, they work. The computer was authorized.
    Here is another interesting thing, I went to my old computer, and everything syncs (but the library on that comp is old).
    I just don't understand why the music won't transfer (because all the other info transfers just fine)
    In the phone menu I have everything checked off properly such as (sync all music and playlists).
    Hmm. Any other suggestions?

    I bought ringtones a few months ago on my iphone 5s and I sync it regularly to my laptop.  I recently reset it and the ringtones will no longer copy back to my phone and wont let me redownload them. Do I have to repurchase them or is there another way I can get them back??

    I dont know if this will help.. but:
    I had to plug my Iphone 5s into my laptop.
    Open up Itunes
    Click on the Iphone tab at the top
    Let everything load
    Click on "Summary" (mine was checked to only add selected options to my iphone)
    Go to the "Tones" tab (to the right of the Summary tab)
    Check if all your tones in your Itunes are checked (they won't sync if they arent checked)
    Click "Apply" at the bottom right of that page (next to where it shows how much space you have left on your phone)
    Click Sync
    Hopefully they will now be added..
    I had this same problem with the new update..
