DMM Version Mismatch Error

I am running a TestStand sequence which makes a call to niDMM_init. Most times this works correctly, but intermittently I get error -1074117853 (every week or so, the function is may be called 50 times between failures)
"Error, Version mismatch error! Please verify the installation of all NI-DMM components. You may need a newer version of NI-DMM"
There are a large number of developers here who *may* be using different versions of NI-DMM on theor development machines to what is installed on the Test Rigs. This was my first thought - that perhaps there were some incompatibilities in DLL Ordinals between the various versions of NI-DMM. However, rebooting the rig and running the same sequence again allows it to work. Surely if this was the case - the problem would exist every time?
Sadly I cant attach the sequence here (since the niDMM_init function is buried inside a code module and a sub dll inside that - but I have traced it through and it is the niDMM_init function returing the error).
What I need to know is:
Is there a problem with developing on one driver version and then running with another?
If all the developers use the same versions of the drivers or at least compile the software with the same version - will this go away?
Why is the problem intermittent?

My mistake - posted to the wrong board. Have reposted in DMMs

  • SOAP Response Version Mismatch error with SAP web service

My company just recently upgraded to SAP CRM 7.
The old way of creating web services in SAP worked fine, but now, there is something a bit off with SAP.  When I call the web service the send returns a Fault Event with the error : SOAP Response Version Mismatch
I had a simple web service created with only 1 text input and 1 text output to make sure that it wasn't the parameters or return type.  I got the same error.
Searching on the forum or the web hasn't provided with any good answer to the issue.
    Any thoughts on this?

There are different versions of dbmssslib.dll in use
There are different versions of ODBC32.dll in use
There are different versions of sqlncli10.dll in use
I found only one file dbmssslib.dll at kernal directory of CI. I can check version, but i do not understand from where the system compares and says there is a version mismatch? any idea?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Vineeth,
Thanks for the direction. Our patch is SAP_BASIS 710. The note is valid for below SAP_BASIS 700 , sp15. I have allocated the point .
I am checking in all kernal directories for version of the dblibrary files mentioned. We have also traced that CI contains two kernal directories  . One for Intel and other for AMD. CI has got intel processor but appservers got AMD processors.

  • Trouble Installing 2012 R2 Reporting Services - Version Mismatch Error in logs

    I recently upgraded an instance of SCOM 2012 SP1 to 2012 R2.
I got no errors installing the all of the components except for the reporting services.
As part of my troubleshooting, I ended up just uninstalling the SP1 version of reporting services and just tried a fresh install of R2 Reporting Services.
When installing reporting services, I get to the step it asks you to put in your management server. I do that, and I get an error about the versions not matching. If I look in the OpsMGrSetupWizard.txt in the setup logs, I see the following error.
Error:The management server is a different version than the current setup build. Please use a different management server or the correct version of setup. Server Version: 7.0.9538.0
On both of my management servers, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Setup shows 7.1.10226.0 for currentversion, ServerVersion and UIVersion
I've tried running the install from the Action account, the SDK Account and my own account, all having admin privileges on the system, same error. I've run the resetSRS.exe against the SQL server in case there were leftovers from the previous SP1 install
    of reporting services.
My searches here and google haven't found anything that has helped.

OK, after digging around some more I found the following.
In the SCOM Console, my management servers were still in maintenance mode from the upgrade somehow, and in the agent managed section for management servers, the version still listed the 7.0.9538.0 version. I removed them from maintenance mode, and within
a few minutes their returned to a monitored state, and the version updated to the 7.1.10226.0 version.
Once that was up to date, I reran the reporting services install on my db server, and it went through properly.
So it looks like the reporting services install is dependent on some part of the management servers updating their version in the db.

  • I keep getting a "MacFuse Runtime Version Mismatch" error

I attempted to download software to enable me to transfer lots of photos from my iPhone, but then kept getting this error.
I have removed everything I can find to do with the progra and MacFuse but still whenever I plug it in this comes up.
    Please help, extremely frustrating!

Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the third-party developer, or to follow his instructions. In some cases it may be necessary to re-download or even reinstall the software in order to get rid of it. I can't be more specific, because I don't install such things myself.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, email the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of the Mac OS. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse.

  • After openoffice install: gnome/kde error "openssl version mismatch."

    Hello,
i just installed a new archlinux version on my laptop. After i just installed the full cd version, i made the following things:
    pacman -Sy
    pacman -S xorg-server xf86-input-mouse xf86-input-keyboard xf86-video-vesa xorg-xinit
    pacman -S hwd
    hwd -xa
    pacman -S gnome
    pacman -S gnome-extra
    pacman -S openoffice-base openoffice-spell-en openoffice-spell-de
Now, when i try to start gnome via "gdm", i get the following error after login screen:
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute: /usr/bin/ssh-agent -- /usr/bin/gnome-session
OpenSSL version mismatch. Built against 90805f, you have 908070
Because i made nothing else on the system except the commands i quoted above, i guess it must be a bug. Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?
    Thx in advance,

    Update:
I just tried a new installation and did the same steps as above, just with kde instead of gnome.  After "startkde", the same OpenSSL version mismatch error appears on the console. It's REALLY annoying...

  • Upgraded to 8.2.1 now I have a version mismatch for the PDA module ver. 8.2

I just recieved a new laptop. I installed LV 8.2.1, then PDA module 8.2. Programs will not build. I get a "Mismatched Versions of Labview and the PDA module" error.  Help.

    Hello,
I was able to reproduce this version mismatch error on a test PC with LabVIEW 8.2.1 and PDA 8.2. This is expected behavior. Also, Matt called in on the phone, and I directed him to his internal sales representative to be shipped 8.2.1 of the PDA module.
I suspect the reason why I was not encountering this on my own PC was that I had already upgraded my LabVIEW Touch Panel Module to 8.2.1 but not PDA yet.
For all people reading this, the ultimate answer is that the PDA version number should match the LabVIEW version number.

  • 3750 version mismatch

I added a new 3750 to my stack and I am getting a version mismatch error. The 2 original 3750's both had the same IOS version but my new one doesn't. Is there a way to copy the IOS from the master switch the the newly added switch. I also see a command about downward-compatibility. What does that do?

    hi
About boot auto-copy-sw "boot auto-copy-sw global configuration command from the stack master to automatically upgrade switches in version-mismatch (VM) mode with the switch stack image "
About VM(Version Mismatch) "A switch in version-mismatch (VM) mode is a switch that has a different stack protocol version than the version on the switch stack. Switches in VM mode cannot join the switch stack. If the switch stack has an image that can be copied to a switch in VM mode, this command automatically copies the switch in VM mode with the image from another stack member. The switch then exits VM mode, reboots, and joins the switch stack"
    hope this helps u out.

  • Class Version Mismatch

In respect to class loaders and JREs, what are some of the scenarios that could result in class version mismatch errors at runtime?
I am assuming it will have to do with .class file's version stamp being different in different class loaders within the same JVM....can someone please shed some light on this. Thanks!

Actually I think it would only happen if you're using a class that was compiled on a sufficiently newer compiler than the JVM you're running it on. As long as the JVM can handle all classes it's been given, I don't think the classes can mismatch among themselves.
But check the language spec or the JVM spec to be sure.

  • Java Plug-in version mismatch crash IE8 with DEP error

We are running Windows XP SP3 with IE8 and some of our internal sites that require JRE will crash the browser with a DEP error. The machines that exhibit this behaviour have multiple versions of JRE installed. However, we haven't been able to nail it down to specific version(s). The only common thread we can find is when looking at the IE8 add-on list the Java plug-in doesn't look quite right. The name column will show "Java Plug-in 1.6.0_19" but the version column lists 1.6.0.7. Has anyone seen that where the name of the Java plug-in add-on doesn't match the version column? I still can't repro the version mismatch issue yet and we've only seen it on a handful of machines so far. However, we are getting ready to rollout IE8 to our enterprise and I want to get a handle on this issue.
I have found two workarounds so far. One is to the disable the Java Plug-in with the version mismatch issue. Then it will fall back on one of the other JRE versions installed. The second workaround is to install the latest version of JRE which also resolves the issue. Seems like a no brainer but in our environment we have requirements for specific versions of JRE and simply pushing out the latest version to everyone may break the other apps.
Anyone heard of this behaviour before?

  • Error -8012 Company version mismatch ?

    Hi.
When trying to connect using the Company object, the DI API returns "-8012 Company version mismatch"
Does anybody know what it means, or even better  - know what causes this error?

    Hi Jan,
Seen your message looks like your DI API is not in the same version as your company is. What Patch Level have you got in your company? You can see it when you choose the company.
And you can see the DI API version where you have installed it (something like "SAP ManageSAP Business One DI APIDI API 67Object"). Look for the SAPbobsCOM67.dll file and its version in the properties window.

  • App Update error "Version Mismatch"

    Hi everyone,
We are updating our app from v26 to v27 and received the following error from Apple saying "we may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery"
Version Mismatch - Neither CFBundleVersion ['3.2.2.7.86923'] nor CFBundleShortVersionString ['1.0.6'] in the Info.plist match the version of the app set in iTunes Connect ['1.2'].
We have no idea how to rectify this?
It also asked for 76 x76 and 152 x 152 icons which aren't asked for in app builder?
Any ideas?  We followed the article on lodging updates to apps and it all worked fine.

    Hi Bob,
first of all thank you for all your so precious informations!
I have received today 14 January the same kind of warning (Version Mismatch - Neither CFBundleVersion ['3.4.2.12.91210'] nor CFBundleShortVersionString ['1.0.12'] in the Info.plist match the version of the app set in iTunes Connect ['2.0'].) and I just would like to know if as far as you are concerned this warning still does not affect the approval of the app!
I have changed in iTunes Connect the version number in order to match the "CFBundleShortVersionString" (1.0.12) without rejecting the app, now it is in the "Waiting for review" status: do you suggest just to wait and see what happens or do you think I should rebuild and submit again the app?
Many thanks and Best Regards from Italy :-)
