DMP-4400 5.1 When Live stream drops the DMP requires reboot

We are using the Exterity TV Gateway to stream live TV to our DMP's when the Signal drops on the Exterity as it does several times a day the TV looses Audio and the screen goes blank for 5 seconds shows video and then blank again. This continues until we reboot the DMP. Has anybody come across this issue and does anybody have any ideas on a cure? The network connections are ok at the Exterity and DMP as far as speed and duplex are concerned with no errors seen. I am thinking its something to do with the multicast and the time its taking to re-join the stream but not sure how I can make any ajustments if it is.

I'm getting a similar issue running the DMP 4400 and DMM 5.1 except I have and issue where I could get 2 channels ok but could not get others and getting the blank screen repeatedly. Rebooting the DMP does not seem to provide any resolution temporarily or not. I have a DMM, DMP and DCM all attached to the same switch. Using UDP media per channel and a presentation per channel to push TV the DMPs.

Using VLC to pickup the mutlicasts works without any issues.

I have at least now managed to narrow down the problem.
I took a guess at the packages that were causing problems, and seems I guessed right.
By following this guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Downgrade_packages
I downgraded both libgl to version 7.7-1 and ati-dri to 7.7-1, and now I can X starts correctly.
I guess I'll need to figure out how to file a bug on those packages.

How to store Live stream on the other Server

Hello Everyone,
This is very important for me to store all live streams in the archive server at F4V sormat.
to do that I record live stream in the F4V:
mystreams.publish('mp4:' + netstream.name + 'f4v');
mystream.recod();
This cods is work currently in the rootinstall directory's but I wan to store on the archive directory in other linux server.
1- I share the archive folder in the archive server.
2- Create folder on the AMS linux server in the applications/livepkgr/streams/_definst_/archive
3- mount archive folder to the archive folder in other server:
mount -t cifs -o administrator=root,password=myams //192.168.1.100/Archive /opt/adobe/ams/applications/livepkgr/streams/_definst_/Archive
So Archive Server is: 192.168.1.100/Archive.
Now I have problem to store live streams in the Archive server...!!!
When I start publish live events on the Flash Media Server, AMS is make video file with f4v format in the Archive server (ams have access to write in other server) But this file has 0kb. there is no capacity.
Please advise me to solve this problem.

Flash player h264 live streaming dropping frames

For some reason i noticed Flash player h264 live streaming is dropping frames very rigorously when streaming to fms 3.5. There are no frames dropped on client camera end. Dropped frames correspond to NetStreamInfo. The output is thus very jerky. This happenbs no matter what settings i use (176 x 144 @10fps). CPU usage is well below 50%.
I noticied that if i stream the same to Red5 1.0 i do not get any frames dropped. The output is perfect as expected. Can some one please help out on this.

Also i can confirm that the encoder used in FMLE and flash player 11.1 or above is not the same. The medium quality preset in FMLE uses "

If i use the same settings in flash player 11.1 i get heavy framedrops and bad playback no matter what quality i use. So this confirms that both encoder are not the same as adobe claims.
On the other hand i sure would love to know why setting bandwidth to 0 creates a smooth stream without framedrops. I will request someone from adobe team to answer me here.

My iTunes freeze (hang) when any webradio stream drop out for any reason; e.g. when ISP renews the IP, the radio station has limited the stream duration (as some do) per connection or wireless is cut off e.g. by closing the lid of the MacBook.
I've to force Quit then iTunes. If I wait (up to an hour for testing) no hung or crash report get generated, iTunes still stay unresponsive.
System: MacBook Pro 2011
OS: OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
iTunes version: 10.4.1 (10)
iTunes 3rd Party add-on's: None
Any ideas out there?

I will commiserate. I have this same issue. In some cases, the stream will stop and restart after 15-30 seconds; repeat. In other cases, the stream will stop, and iTunes will switch to the last radio station in that playlist. Then that station will play for a few minutes, and stop, and sometimes restart. But usually iTunes will hang (spinning beach ball) and must be force-quit.

When radio stream drops, itunes 11 shifts to next station

We use itunes to stream classical radio - but when the stream drops, itunes moves on to the next radio station on the list. Is there any way to just wait for rebuffering to reconnect??
We are running iTunes 11 on Windows XP.

Constant rebuffering is annoying enough without having to reselect the station everytime.

Why is a recorded stream getting delete when a live stream with the same name is received?

i have an application that plays prerecorded streams. The streamnames are loaded from a xml file an put into an array on the server side. The streams were changed with an Interval.
Thats all works fine.
i want that as soon as a livestreams with the same name as a prerecorded stream in the array is received the livestream is played in the playlist.
I know if i use the starttime -2 in the stream.play-method that the livestream is played instead of the prerecorded stream. But if i use this, the prerecorded streams in the streamfolder getting deleted.

Recording H.264 Live Stream on the Server

I have seen several questions which were close to what I am looking for, but haven't found an answer that worked. I work at a school, and we use a NewTek TriCaster to stream live events through FMS 3.5, which I am hoping to upgrade to AMS 5 to allow HLS. We have been streaming a single H.264 encoded feed through the server as a live stream which works well. They have recently asked if it is possible to archive that recording on the server. I was able to get everything to work correctly when I switched to using the VP6 codec, but as long as we were streaming with H.264, I could not get the server to record it correctly. Here's what I have tried:
This code works for the VP6, but the H.264 doesn't record the video:

This worked and created an flv file, but caused a few other issues due to the encoding of the VP6 and having to re-encode the video to H.264 before putting the file online.
Based on suggestions I was reading, I tried this with the H.264 stream:

     var s = new Stream("mp4:archive.f4v");
     s.record();
     s.play(streamObj.name);
This created an f4v file, but I could not play it. When I tried to open it in Adobe Media Encoder, it gave an error that it did not support the compression type.

You should use a H.264 compitable encoder..
FMS only delivery content, player only player the stream..
Flix Engine, from On2, have the H.264 encoder..

Firefox won't install bc of "Unsupported Architecture" when I clearly meet the System Requirements?

I installed Firefox 4.0 and upon clicking on the mounted image, I dragged and dropped the program into my applications folder, then because of unsupported architecture the program wouldn't launch. However, I read the system requirements before installation and I meet all of the above. I have a PowerMac w/ a Dual 1.8Ghz PowerPC G5 based processor, 1GB DDR SDRAM, and a 320GB Hard Drive running Mac OSX 10.5.8. After which I had to delete the program and restore firefox 3.6.16 using Time Machine.

Firefox 4 doesn't run on a PowerPC Mac.<br />
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

Audio not syncing with Video when live streaming.

Hello, i was wondering if i could get a possible fix for a problem that's been keeping my streaming back. I am using a Dazzle capture card to stream video games, and Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 to send out the feed. My video source is of course the capture card and i use a MAC program called "Audio Midi Setup" to create an aggregate device of both the dazzle audio and my microphone as an audio source for FMLE. This way, the viewers could hear both my voice and the game audio.
Everything works really well, except for one problem. The audio always occurs 6 seconds before the actions in the game that correspond to it, and my voice will mention something first before it happens, again off by 6 seconds. I've played around with a couple of the settings for audio and video, but no matter what, it's always a 6 second delay. I've had this problem for a while and am unsure if the problem stems to FMLE at this point, but would appreciate any possible help. Thank you

This is common for separately recorded audio. Sync the start of both clips. then go to the end and adjust the speed of the audio clip until it get's back in sync at the end. It should then be in sync throughout. You'll have to experiment to get just the right adjustment. My device's clips had to be adjusted to 100.4% speed to keep sync.

Some of Title box when picked and dropped, the iMovie project suddenly disappears

Movie making project with iMovie. :- When some of the Title boxes are picked and dropped at places between frames for different effects, the project suddenly disappears and a drope down window will ask for re opening option. As a result these boxes cannot be put in position and are useless. Is it a spam? Or how to rectify? Please advise. Thanks.

Can't increase screen size when podcasting streaming from the net.

When I'm trying to watch podcasts I get a large black screen with a small movie window 2"x2" with no functions available to increase screensize. Because it is podcasting quicktime is playing the movie but only the safari menu bar is available. Any help would be appreciated

HT201364 Why can Mavericks "not be installed on this computer" when I have all the system requirements?

I have a 13" Macbook (Early 2009), 2gb memory, 9.29GB of free space and v10.6.8 already installed and yet when I click to download Mavericks, a popup comes up on the screen saying "Sorry, Mavericks cannot be installed to this computer". Why not??

EA6900 Frequently drops WiFi users, requires reboot

I have a EA6900 on current firmware. Had it about 2 months. About every 2 days I have to reboot the router to get wirelessly connected devices (who are still associated) to start being able to use the network. Tonight I hardset bandwidth and channels to see if it helps. This is one expensive router to have to manually reboot to get wireless working. Anyone have any ideas? I've always been happy with my LinkSys routers but this one is leaving a bad taste...
