DMS: Dependency between 2 characteristics such as one should appear only wh

Dear All,
I have created classification for my document type, i.e i have assigned a class & some characteristics to my document type, but now i want to assign such a dependency to the characteristic that the second characteristic would appear only when i put certain value say '1' to the frist characteristic, the secound charcteristic should not appear till i put the value '1' to my frist characteristic.
So please let me know the syntax for such a dependency, also will this dependency work in CV04N??
Help will be appreciated.
Thanks & regards.

Dear
i followed
1. Create characterstics say test1 and test 2 with A and B values in test 1 and C & D in test2.
2. now u want when u select A in test 1 then only the characterstic test 2 shud appear.
3.No u go to change mode of char test 2, click on object dependencies in basic data tab, u'll get maintain dependency:assignments to objects screen.
4 Go to edit< new dependency< local < precondition, u get edit dependency screen
5 write syntax test 1 = 'A' and specified test 1
now check when u enter A in Char test1 then only test 2 will appear on screen

  • Creating dependency between characteristics (syntax use)

    Hi.
I have created a characteristic in CT04 which has the datatype NUM with two values; 0 and 1. This characteristic also have referance to a table field (that is why the characteristic has the type NUM and cannot be changed). This characteristic is called Z_APP_3
I have also created a characteristics in CT04 for dependency which are of the type CHAR with ref. to a different table than the one mentioned above. It is called Z_COND_3
When I try to create dependency in CU01 (dep. type Procedure), I get an error message:
E28075 Character string required in inverted commas
E28024 Syntax error in simple action/procedure
    Syntax:
    000010 $self.Z_COND_3 = $self.Z_APP_3
I know little about the syntax so I have little about this.

When assigning a Characteristic value into a different Characteristic value, they must be of the same data type.

  • Incoterms in purchase order should appear only in header.

    Hi All,
When the inter company purchase order is created with reference to purchase requistion, in some scenarios the header and item level incoterms are copied in the purchase order.
    1. Incoterms in the header level of purchase order are copied from vendor master.
    2. Incoterms in the item level of purchase order are copied from customer master.
One of the observation made my by me is that -  when we create a purchase order with reference to purchase requisition and prior to copying and adopting the purchase requisition if we leave the purchase organization field blank then system will copy the incoterm at the item level of purchase order.
Our requirment is 1.how we can avoid copying the icoterms at the item level of purchase order 2. In what situations the incoterms are copied in the item level of purchase order.

    Hi,
To have VAT to appear in the PO print clearly ,1st heck FORM or PDF/SmartForm Form used for your PO out put type for application EF in NACE t.code. Check SmartForm in t.code: SMARTFORMS and see condition types VAT is there or not. Just check with ABAPer about condition type of VAT inclusion in SmartForm.
VAT can be inventoried or can be used for Set-Off (you can say as non-deductable or
Deductable) based on business process requirement or material behaves to purchasing document. For VAT can be inventoried , you should have a condition type with assigning of NVV key and For Set-Off VAT , you should have another condition type and assigning to an accounting key { For example: ZAV ( new one)not NVV key certainly} in tax procedure in OBYZ t.code & in t.code: OB40 , ZAV should assign to G/L account. You should have two tax codes , one for VAT - inventoried and another one for VAT- Set-Off and maintain condition record for each condition type with respective tax code.
For VAT can be inventoried, it will affect on accounting in MIGO transaction adding VAT amount to Inventory Account. For Set-Off VAT, it will affect in MIRO transaction.

actually i am new to mac so i am confused between macbook air 13 inch and i mac. which one should i buy? i will be installing windows 2 on it..

An MBA is a portable while an iMac is a desktop and is not portable. You could install Windows on either provided each had sufficient memory installed and a large enough hard drive. The iMac is better equipped for this from the outset, but the MBA can be adequately configured if you are willing to spend the money to do so.

    <i>
Do not use words in capital letters and any of the words: urgent, quickly, burning, etc in your message. Especially not in the title! This just irritates and does not help you get to your goal. From our side, we definitely do not answer faster when we see these words.
The same goes for such things as ??? or !!! in appends. In the English language one ? or ! is sufficient to terminate a sentence. </i>
Answering you question, Say you have 2 SWCV's. SWCV A and B. All objects imported in SWCV A should be visible in B. In this case, go to SWCV B and in this, Go to the Dependency Tab , and Select SWCV A here as the dependent Component.
In your IR, Clear SLD Cache and Reimport the 2  SWCV's into the IR and now you will see the Basis Objects in SWCV B. All the existing objects will not be affected as a result of this reimport into IR.

  • Dependency of characteristics value in CV04N

    Hi there,
I have an issue when searching document using characteristics with dependencies.
    Let's say I have 2 characteristics (doc & doc_sub_type).
    characteristics : DOC has value A & B
    characteristics : DOC_SUB_TYPE has value A-1 & B1
When user search for document, the restriction should be :
if he choose characteristics DOC with value 'A' then only 'A-1' should appear on characteristics DOC_SUB_TYPE
I am using dependencies at characteristics value level which is working fine in txcode : CV01N, but wondering why the same logic is not working in CV04N
    Any suggestions would be appreciated
    Thanks,

    Dear
The dependency is coming  in CV04N  by activating one user exit : CLCTMS03
but how can i do the same ???
because  i also apply logic of dependency and its working for cv01n but i can't get same in CV04N

  • Removing Dependency Between Applications

    Dear Experts,
I need your valuable inputs on the architecture which we had in our organization but now want to change it due to considerable down time requirements.
I have a application A which stores all the common artifacts like schemas, maps and callable orchestrations.
I have 20 to 30 odd applications referring to the application A's artifacts. There is a dll dependency between the application and the common application A. so whenever I get a CR for an application A which involves change in the artifacts like schemas,
maps and orchestration, then according to the deployment rules of Biztalk, I have to delete all the 20 to 30 odd applications and then deploy the application A, then redeploy the other dependent applications. Now this produces a considerable down time of 3
    to 4 hours.
Now the organization wants to change the approach and minimize the down time while keeping the development rework (i.e avoid adding same tags in the schema across 20 to 30 applications rather than importing them from common application A). While trying to
think about the solution I was reading various blogs on the internet and many suggested to go for side by side versioning. But the Organization wants to avoid that unless and until there are long running orchestrations(which is not the case right now) .
Now I followed following approach on my testing machine to check if it is feasible to make changes to the common application A without deleting the dependant applications first. I have separated the approach on the Development and Deployment Lines.
    Development Wise
    1) make the necessary changes in the schemas. Add a post build comment to do the gacutil on the schema project
    2) For the maps referring to the schema provide the location of the freshly GACed dll. Provide the post build comment to do a gacutil on the maps project.
    3) Do the same for the orchestrations.
    4) for the dependant applications add the references from the GAC folder only.
    Deployment Wise
    1) As the common application is already deployed(before the new CR deployment), stop the Host Instances processing the common application requests and the Host Instances processing dependant application requests.
    2) Install the msi on the server(not import)
    3) GAC the individual dlls using the gacutil command
    4) Restart the Host Instances
This approach seems to work just fine and the changes in the artifacts are clearly observable.
But honestly I have doubts regarding the authenticity and the credibility of this approach. I require you guidance on whether this is a good approach to follow or not or is there any alternative approach available which I can use to avoid the problem statement.
    Regards,
    Mandar Dharmadhikari

The bad news:  What you're describing will usually work fine, but is not a supported Deployment method for BizTalk apps.
What you describe in "Development Wise" is all fine, but really doesn't matter.  The .Net references rules and how Visual Studio managed referenced assemblies isn't changed by those steps.  Referencing from the GAC or the build folder
    should produce the same results.
The deployment dependencies is one of the reasons I decided long ago to avoid whenever practical, which so far has been always, the notion of 'shared' artifacts between deployment units.  My philosophy is a a Visual Studio Solution should be deployable
on it's own, without un-Deploying or re-Deploying anything else.  The one consequence so far is not being able to use the automatic schema resolution of the XmlDisassembler.
Sneaking in new versions is ok for DEV, but not something I would rely on for Production deployments.

  • Is there a limit to the number of airport extremes and airport expresses one should have in a network?

Is there a practical limit to the number of airport extreme base stations and airport express units one should have in a home network?

Then, I had an older Airport extreme that I was thinking about connecting wirelessly in my living room and connecting the DirectV DVR to it by ethernet cable.
Is this older AirPort Extreme the "round" version or the "square" shaped version? The "round" version will not do what you want.
Whenever you extend an AirPort using wireless only, you will experience a loss of bandwidth (speed) on the entire network. That loss might be anywhere from 15-50% depending on how far the extending AirPort device is located from the "main" AirPort.
Even with an excellent signal, if you have 3 AirPorts extending the signal, you will lose 40-50% of the bandwidth on the network. The other AirPorts that are being used just for music are also slowing things down.
He thought there might be problems with using that third airport with the DVR and wondered if I should just use an Airport express there.
It would make no difference whether you used an AirPort Extreme....assuming it was the "square" version or a new AirPort Express as far as performance is concerned.
As to whether you connect the DVR to another AirPort, it might be OK, but you will not know until you try.
If you find that things slow down noticeably, you will need to look for ways to connect the AirPorts together using a wired Ethernet connection. This is always the preferred connection method since there is no bandwidth loss when you do this.
Since downloading video places a high demand on a wireless network, you might want to look for a way to connect the DVR back to your "main" router directly using a wired Ethernet connection as well.

  • Which one should i download?

    Hi All,
I am doing a project in Sourceforge.net for that project i need to install mail server.so i thought of downloading JAMES from apache website..
there are so many files in the page http://james.apache.org/download.cgi i was a bit confused to download which file under the heading Apache JAMES 2.3.1 is the best available version
    there are files like
    * Binary (Unix TAR): james-binary-2.3.1.tar.gz [PGP]
    * Binary (ZIP Format): james-binary-2.3.1.zip [PGP]
    * Mailet SDK (Unix TAR): james-MailetSDK-2.3.1.tar.gz [PGP]
    * Mailet SDK (ZIP Format): james-MailetSDK-2.3.1.zip [PGP]
    * Source (Unix TAR): james-2.3.1-src.tar.gz [PGP]
    * Source (ZIP Format): james-2.3.1-src.zip [PGP]
    * Source with Avalon Phoenix binaries (Unix TAR): james-with-phoenix-2.3.1-src.tar.gz [PGP]
    * Source with Avalon Phoenix binaries (ZIP Format): james-with-phoenix-2.3.1-src.zip [PGP]
    * Other Binaries
which one should i download and install to configure mail server..
    Please help me...
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ramesh Ale

Unless you need the source you would normally download the binary distributions - either james-binary-2.3.1.tar.gz(Linux/Unix) or james-binary-2.3.1.zip (Windows). Since the two are essentially the same except for the compression method you can download either. It just depends on which one you can 'decompress'.
Note: Though it is a couple of years since I installed and used James, it was my experience that some service providers do not accept emails sent through James. It seems there is some form of registration system in place.

  • Dependancy between central swcv and others

    Hi,
I want to download all my RFCs and IDoc into one single central SWCV. I want to implement dependancy between all my SWCVs and Central SWCV. Can somebody please send me any document on that?. Is it run-time or build time, I need to implement Dependancy.

  • Dependency between BPM Projects

    Hi,
I'm planning the construction of a sales application project. It is composed by eleven topics and I want to know if each topic can be constructed in its own project and each project uses the same custom jsp presentations, webresources, BPM Objects. The reason to implement this is to improve the maintenance in production; because if I quit one project from the engine I don't want to quit the entire project with all the sales process.
    Thanks for your help,
    Guillermo

Just so you know, you can share JSPs and BPM objects between projects. There's a commonCatalog folder in studio that can be maintained under a common module of code in your repository. Likewise the JSPs can be organized as well in folders that are common to other projects in the repository. When you check in or out code, common objects go into one common module and project specific code go into their own module.
To share BPM objects using the commonCatalog, I just copy the module/folder (e.g. SharedObjects) from the componentCatalog to the commonCatalog. These objects appear to be from the same place from within studio, but they are in separate folders and separate repository modules. This makes it easy to maintain them in your source repository.
Also, if you right-click on the project and go into properties you can have dependencies of projects. One project can be dependent on another. So far, I was only able to share BPM objects. Screen-flows, and processes cannot be shared. JSPs could be shared by using the common folder/branch idea I mentioned before.
If you want to place all projects into one project, that's okay too. When you deploy projects to the server, you can control deployments down to the process level. So for most folks that is the easiest approach.

  • Which one should I learn first?

I am becoming an common Oracle DBA and I want to learn RedHat Linux. But I do not know the difference between Redhat Linux 9 and Redhat Enterprise Linux 5. What are they for? Which one should I learn first?

But I do not know the difference between Redhat Linux 9 and Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.RedHat Linux 9 is very oldest brother of RHEL5. While RH9 is public (free of charge) distribution, RHEL5 is commercial no free (of charge) distribution. Redhat 9 was last public (free) release from Redhat corporation, since next release it was called Fedora. Name "Redhat" is used only for Commercial enterpise distribution.
There is not difference between using/mantaining of them. But the main difference is that Redhat 9 has pretty old version of kernel, and other packages and is not supported by Oracle.
What are they for?If we are speaking about Linux then we are speaking about Unix like operating system. So your question is just like "What is Windows for?".
Which one should I learn first? As I said before, there is not difference between using/mantaining of them. But as Redhat 9 is pretty old distribution then use RHEL5. There is also existing distribution Centos which is clone of RHEL. When you install Centos 5 in fact you are using RHEL but with changed logos and texts (brands). But unfortunatelly this clone is not officialy supported by Oracle so it can't be use for production Oracle installations. For more informations and download look here: http://www.centos.org
There is also another RHEL clone shipped by Oracle (and is supported by Oracle of course). You can download it from http://edelivery.oracle.com/linux

  • I am planning to buy DSLR Camera which one should I go for .

     Dear Team,
I am planning to buy DSLR Camera which one should I go for . I have selected  three camera models EOS Rebel T4i DSLR , EOS Rebel T5i DSLR  or EOS 7D please let know the cons and pros of the three cameras and help in buying .
    Regards,
    Kalyan

There's not much of a jump from the T4i to the T5i; Canon releases updates to these Rebels so frequently they often lack substance.  Looking at the specs I don't see anything that jumps out at me - I'd grab whichever one I could get cheaper.
The 7D is a substantial jump up.  Much more sophisticated autofocus.  Faster burst rate, shorter shutter lag, weather sealing, better build, better LCD, viewfinder coverage, etc.  Keep in mind it's the same old sensor, but there's a lot more to a camera than a sensor.   The 7D has been the go to camera of sports enthusiasts for years.
Edit:  I didn't mean to sound like I was selling the Rebels short, I think they're a great camera for the price, depending on your needs.  There are things that more novice photographers may prefer in a camera over the 7D, like built in flash, or the flip out screen, or in-camera HDR.
