DMS Document Link in production Order

Hi,
When we create a production order and save it after releasing ,it prints orginal copy of shop paper . I am able to print shoppaper but it does not contain Documents present in prod. order. We are fetching this documents from DRAD table in associated ADOBE form driver program.
But when i reprint the prod. order , i can see documents in shop paper.
Reason is that DRAD table is not getting updated at that time. i Tried to look for runtime structures but not able to the appropriate value. There is one internal table whihc stores this value but it shows values only when i see its value through debugger else no value comes into it.
So,if anyone could help that how to get documents number present in prod. order at the time of creation.
Does somebody knows suitable runtime structure or How to handle delay database update or if there is some other way to do it.
Please provide some inputs.
Thanks

Hi Mayank,
Kindly find following link. I think you need to make a object link of documents with production order first then you can use these documents for various reports:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c1/1c31a243c711d1893e0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm
Hope this will help.

  • DMS:Document details in production order

    Hi guys,
The material master of the finished product has some documents which includes drawings & some instructions under respective document types
Now if i create a production order for that material if I see the in the document overview screen lam not able to see the documents, whereas in IDES lam able to view that, DO I need to make any setting? If yes pls let me know
    Thanks & regards,
    Vijai

    Hi Vijai,
have you also maintained the correct customizing settings in SPRO to use the latest dynpros and authorizations.
To grant that allways the currenct screens and authorizations were
called please maintain also the value "1" into the "Authorization"
column. For further informations on this maintainance please see the
attached note 375452. It's important that you not enter the mentioned
screen number wihtout the leading "1" as this number is added
automatically by the system (e.g. object MARA 1201 maintain like MARA
201). You can do this in customizing under:
    Transaction SPRO
    > Cross-Application-Component
        > Document Management
             > Control Data
                 > Define screen for object links
If you need the dynpro number or object you will find all standard SAP
objects and their screen number in function module CV130 (Screens) by
transaction SE80. Please maintain all necessary SAP objects.
Further please see SAP note  1060717 too.
    Best regards,

  • How do I insert a document in a production order?

    Hi
Does anyone know how I can insert a document in a production order on the "Document Links"?
I have a assembly drawing that I would like to be printed on release.

    Hi,
As rightly said you can have the documents or document links in material master or in BOM. But if you prefer to have the documents attached to Document links in production order, you can assign those documents to the operation of production order and remember to maintain the document link activated for production order (PORDER) for the document type.
    Thanks.

  • Attached Documents in the Production order

    Hello,
    My question is:
how to setup the system to be able from the Production order to see (and have access)  to the documents attached to the BOM and/or Routing?
    Thank you in advance.
    Peter

    Hi,
In production order if you notice you should be able to find a link for documents. In the documents page you would be able to get the documents attached in the BOM (not sure about the routing, please check).
But do note that this is just a link & the order does not store these documents, you will have to go to DMS (CV03n) to view the document.
In OPKP (production scheduling profile) you select the option to link the documents on release.
    Hope the above helps.

  • DMS Object Link at Maintenence Order and Service order level

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We had a requirement for maintaining DMS Object at Service order and maintenence order level, as Standard DMS does not provide any Standard Object link at Order level, we went for development and following the Standard procedure i could bring the Order Tab in CV01N Object Links, and also i could search the relavent maintenence order and maintain documents relevant to it,
But the biggest problem now is i could not create DIR from the Maintenence or service order screen IW31, and the document i have placed at the order is not visible in the order screen at all,
i know it is some sort of enhancement in the Order screen to allow DMS Documents to appear in the Order screen to provide this funtionality.
let me pls know what exactly has to be done, as there is no config at the order level to get the DMS Screen, as DMS is not a standard object at the order level.
one approch as suggested is modifiying the Order screen or using Screen Exit Enhancement for Order but not sure which one to use or how to move ahead,
    Thanks n Regards
    Priya S

    Dear Christoph Hopf
    Many Thanks for your answer,
i went through the said SAP Note, but it only speaks about the notifications level, where SAP itself has provided the standard DMS Object links, and iam in latest ECC-6 version where this note  is taken care of i think,
iam looking for creating DMS Document (DIR) from the maintenence Order IW31 transaction screen, and have developed new Object link for Maintenence order,
but the main problem is, iam not able to create DIR from the IW31 Screen directly as Maintennce order is not a standard SAP Object,
please let me know how to get the list of documents that i have attached to a maintenence order to appear in the IW32 maintenence order screen, and also we need to create the documents (DIR) directly from IW31 / 32 screens.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Document Flow to Production Orders from BOM

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have attached a few documents at header level of the BOM. I have also attached document at item level in the BOM. When I create a production order these documents are not flowing to Production Order. Is there any way to do that. I also want to see them in CS11 and CS12 reports.
In OPKP I have already checked Document Links-BOM "On Creation" and "On Release" for my production scheduling profile.
    Thanks and Regards
    Geravine

    Dear Geravine,
You can use a Production Scheduling profile to specify that in a production order or process order
particular business transactions are carried out in parallel
generation of document link from material master on order creation
generation of document link from BOM on order creation
generation of document link from material master on order release
generation of document link from BOM on order release
Include the check boxes for Document links for material and BOM both under order creation and order release.
    Check in T Code OPKP.
But in my understanding only the document that are attached to the header and the items with D category alone gets
    transferred to the production order.

  • DMS: Object Links for Work Order

    Hello All,
I would like to attach and checkin originals to a work order thru CV01N/CV02N transaction. But, there is no specific tab for work oder. How do I acheive this?
what configuaration and development has to be done?
Any kind of help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Hi,
If you need only a tab to be seen in the CV01N/CV02N Tcodes, then there is a config settings,
Document Mangement--> Control Data->Define Document Types (under that select your document type to which this attachment is required) > Define object links> select the production order (PORDER---Object & Screen # 0251)
then you can see the production order tab in the DIR,
    OR
As per my understanding of your requirement is:
When you attach a Original in DIR then it should be visible in the Production order also.
To achieve this you need to build a relation b/w Material Master & DIR (particular document type), so when a order is created then DIR with original will also get attached automatically so that you view, or through EWB also it can viewed & edited.
    Hope i have understand correctly.

  • BADI for MIGO ( Material document change for Production Order goods Receipt

    Hey experts,
I am actually stuck up with MIGO BADI.
There are many BADI's available but i dont think any one would suit my requirement.
    here goes my requirement.
When a Production Order is created in transaction CO01 , the system picks the value of the moving  material and multiplies it with the quantity .
But when the production order is being confirmed thru CO11N , again the system picks the present moving price of the material and multiplies it with the quantity. This goods receipt is done through MIGO transaction by selecting goods receipt for order that is 101 movement type. I have been asked to get the value of the material at the time of production order create and then change the dmbtr value of MSEG table, this can be done in the badi at the time of creation of material document number but the BADI's MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE,  MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE do not allow me to change the values .
The BADI MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE does not allow any changes to be made for XMSEG table
and MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE is passed by value and hence the changes are not affected after it comes out of the method.
Guys please help me as this creating a hell lot of problem here and i would surely reward the max points if answered.
here is the example to be more precise.
    Material : Pen
    Quantity : 10.
    date : 01.06.2008.
    TYransaction co01.
lets say at the time of creation the value of the material was 5 rs
a material document would be created with the value  : 50 rs.
Now for this prod. order goods receipt is being done on 01.07.2008.
Let the value be 4 rs now.
so the Material document would be created with a value of 40 rs.
I need to make this 50 rs.
I have got all the data to do it but i am not gettin the coreect BADI, i just want the BADI name to change the DMBTR value at the time of creation of material Document.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Link of production order

I have created without material production order  (100) and put component in production order without any special assignment (STOCK).
This component is subassembly and after mrp planned order will be created for it. This planned order is converted into production order ( 101).
How to find relationship between reservation of production order 100 and  production order 101.
I want to use this relationship in development ( abap program)

    Mayuresh,
Let us first assume that you are talking about MTO.
Within the planning segment in MTO, all orders will have an account assignment.  Assuming that you have one order per planning segment per level of the BOM (this is common, but not mandatory, you will have to see in your business environment if this extent of linkage will be adequate), you can link them using the account assignment (e.g., the sales order/item).
If you are talking about MTS, your requirement cannot be met in all scenarios.  It is possible to have one dependent requirement (reservation) from a higher level production order be supported by many planned/production orders (one-to-many).  It is also possible to have many dependent requirements supported by a single planned/ production order (many-to-one).  Furthermore, as time goes by during the normal life of the superior order (higher level of the BOM), the actual lower level production/planned orders that will end up supporting the reservation WILL CHANGE.  There is no hard programmatic linkage.
ECC MRP does not link these items, except logically.  Your program is doomed to failure if you attempt to link these two items, and have the linkage be valid in all circumstances.
I have heard this requirement countless times, from users who are used to working in a legacy system that offers fixed pegging.  SAP does not use fixed pegging in their standard ECC MRP offering.
If you are doing your planning in APO, then there is hope.  APO PP/DS maintains dynamic pegging structures.  In this case, at any point in time, you can report which lower level production orders are linked to which higher level requirements.  APO changes these relationships automatically as the planning situation changes, but you can still report the new linkages any time you want.  APO also offers fixed pegging, in which these relationships, once created, remain fixed until you change them, or until all orders are completed.  If you require this type of hard linkage (and trust me, there are disadvantages to using fixed pegging) then you will have to do your planning in APO.

  • Link of production order to sales order

    Hello,
Would like to ask how could we check a production order confirmation and movements when we just have a sales order? and the problem is those sales order we have is arcieve already in 2006 and we assume the production order also was archieve already too. We really want to check those production orders inviolved on the materials of our sales order, how could we check this even it was archieve already? Could you help us with this ? Because we have Financial control at this moment and this is very important case.
    Regards
    Edited by: SAP_PHIL on Sep 16, 2009 1:00 PM

    Dear,
    To display archieved orders.
    Choose Logistics -
    > Production -
    > Production control ---> Tools -
    > Archiving -
    > Orders.  Or CO78 transaction
Choose Retrieval. Enter the selection criteria. choose Archive Selection, select the required archive file(s) and choose .The selected orders are then displayed in the Order Information System.
If your Production is based on MTO scenario, then you can enter the sales order number in COOIS screen and check whether they exist in System without archival. Please remember to activate check box for "orders with Deletion Flag/indicator" in the additional selection critera in the Initial screen.
    Regards,
    Prasobh
