DMS: ECC6 New tabs of Document browser & Authourizations ??????

Hi all,
there are new tabs of Document browser & Authourizations in ECC6 can anyone tell the significant use of it, where can i find the relevant info on it.
Can i remove those tabs from the DIR screen, is there any configration to remove those tabs.

The authorisation tab is new functionality from ECC6. It allows you to incorporate authorisations on document level which expand the authorisation functionality considerably. I.e. you can now set display/change access on a department/user/etc level.
The Document Browser tab replicates the folder structures found in EasyDMS and allows you to display/change/edit this structure from within SAP itself.
You can remove either tab using ABAP but not using standard configuration.

Opening new tabs makes the browser window wider

when opening a new tab in safari
it makes the browser window bigger (at the bottom)
but not only at the bottom actually
after a few close-open's it also starts growing at the top
and for me it's unacceptable cause there are folders that i need fulltime access to (at the top)
is there a way (a script) to prevent safari "grow" and make the browser window bigger in a while ?
i don't really know why is it happening because if you press cmd+t it opens a new tab and the browser window kinda slides bigger at the bottom but then if you press cmd+w it does the opposite and the browser window stays the same size after those actions
i can't follow but after some time it starts to be bigger not only at the bottom
it grows til the dock and then starts growing at the top
is there a way to prevent that ?
i mean take opera for example. it always stays the same size and new opened tabs take the "inside space" if you know what i mean. the browser window doesn't get bigger. there is space allocated especially for tabs
i like safari but it is very important for me that it stays the same size all the time
i have all windows and folders situated exactly where i want them and if something moves and covers other items, it gets uncomfortable

Yes, it sounds like this is the cause.
Some pop-up window code forces the new window to be a certain size. Since it's intended to open in a new window, that normally wouldn't cause problems. But you're forcing the pop-up to open as a new tab in the current window, which causes the current window to be resized to that new page's defined size.

How to open the url in a new tab of the Browser

Am using jdev 11.1.1.2.1
I have a commandLink in a jsff page and on click of that i want to open a new tab with the url given in the action listener.
I have the action listener code below:

For now it is redirecting in the same window and so wen i press the back button in the browser the session gets invalidated ,
so i want to open it in a new tab.

Hi,
You can try using "goLiink" and then use the property targetFrame set to "_blank"; below are some for ur references:
targetFrame
_blank: The link opens the document in a new window.
_parent: The link opens the document in the window of the parent. For example, if the link appeared in a dialog window, the resulting page would render in the parent window.
_self: The link opens the document in the same page or region.
_top: The link opens the document in a full window, replacing the entire page.

How to open a new tab after current browsing session.

I used to use new tab king, and when I opened a new tab, it would always open the new tab to the very right of my session, out of the way and not somewhere randomly in the middle. However, I wanted my restored windows to open where I had closed them in my session. I have since changed to use new tab plus instead, and it worked that same way before, but since I updated to firefox 26, it seems to have reset that option (as well as others), it opens in the middle of the session now instead of the end.

I'm not sure what you mean by the middle of the ''session''.
Do you mean the middle of the tab bar in the current window? There is a setting for whether to open a link in a new tab adjacent to the page where you clicked the link or always at the end of the tab bar. If that's what you mean, here's how you can switch it:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''tabs''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent''' preference to switch it from true to false.
But I'm not sure that's what you meant... also, extensions may override Firefox's built-in behaviors with their own tab settings.

Creating a new tab on the browser, how can i it isn't working now?

Before mozilla changing their browser, I could click the + sign at the top of the page and a new tab would appear. Now I do that and nothing appears. I do not want several browsers on my screen, I like the multi-tab option. That way I can switch back and forth from the different screens and complete my work much easier. Someone mentioned clicking on a link and right clicking but I dont always have a link to click to do that and that option doesn't always appear when I right click. Please help. How to open a hyperlink in new tab from document library

I have created a Document library programmatically.
Added values to columns programmatically. One of the column contains a hyperlink.
I need to open a new tab when a user click on that link?
How can we do it?
i cant add CEWP cause there may be libraries above 200 so i cant add CEWP in every lib.
can we make it programmatically or any library seetings?

Can't open bookmarks in a new tab after changing "browser.tabsinsertRelatedAfterCurrent" - even after changing it back.

I changed "browser.tabsinsertRelatedAfterCurrent" in about:config, and then changed it back after it didn't do what I had hoped it would do. The next time I tried to open a bookmark '''from the menu''' (not the little bookmarks button thing), nothing happens when I select "Open in a New Tab."

Bah, I couldn't take it and just did a restore.

Why can't I open new tabs in my browser?

When I click on the + symbol next to the tab I am working in, Firefox should open a new tab. However, this function no longer works in my Firefox browser. What do I need to do to open new tabs again?

This was very helpful: go to browser options in the General settings tab, at the bottom is the Manage Add-ons click on that link, look for the ASK toolbar add-on and uninstall. Then restart browser.
I was elated the tabs work again.

Constantly New Tabs Opening While Browsing

I use both safari and chrome for browsing in my macbook air, ever since i updated it to OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2 i am experiencing irritating problems while browsing in either of the browsers. Constantly a new tab opens with a new website while clicking on any links on the existing web page. Just dont understand what to do, thought the new software update would resolve the problem but it still remains the same. Please Help

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

When I open Firefox, The tab keeps quickly flicking between "Connecting" and "New Tab". The browser will not connect to any site.

This occurred straight after visiting the isohunt site. I had a message saying "Firefox is preventing
IsoHunt from installing a program, will you allow?" (or words to that effect). I gave permission then the problem started.
I have used Firefox on my iMac for a long time without any problem. I'm running OS X 10.7.5

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in <u>Safe mode</u>:

If it does work in Firefox Safe-mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
