DMS Error !!

Hello Friends,
I am working with some forms in 10g. for some forms during execution I am getting this error "DMS Error. Contact your Database Administrator". What should I do to rectify this problem?

the migration path is 4.5 - 6i - 10g
I think, that Pragati has done this. If not, then there is one more possible cause of the actual problem. Think about the old PL/SQL - Version, which isn't converted.
@Pragati: Do you have used the official migration path? Or do you have used third party tools, which help you migrating 4.5 to 10g in one step ? I know, that it gives such tools

It is hard to say what the issue is without knowing all the details, but I would start looking at the following:
$ORACLE_HOME/forms/server/formsweb.cfg and in particular the FORMS_PATH variable setting. That's what stumped me in the beginning.

DMS Error - Error occurred when I try to download document from storage.

Hi, gurus
I'm new to DMS and using 3rd party content server now but I faced error.
let me explain my symtom.
First, I created Content Rep. EL
Document area: DMS
storage type: HTTP content server
Version: 0046
(note that connection test is successful.)
then, I created storage category , using content rep. EL
Finally, I registered document to the content server I created, using T-CODE CV01N - Display
but after that, i can not download the registered document from content server
I just faced error message u2193
File c:\temp\_IT300807.pdf could not be accessed
However, when I select storage Cat. to DMS_C1_ST(Default DMS storage),
I can download registered document
I think I need to make some settings to use 3rd party content server.
Can I know what setting is necessary to use 3rd party content server?

WEB DMS Error uploading file / create DIR

Hi SapGurus,
I have a problem creating new documents using WEB DMS, i remember trying to do it some time ago, and i could manually create the documents through WEB-DMS Create option choosing the configured document type,
but right now iam not able to upload any original file and create a NEW DIR, as it gives me an error message "an Error occurred while loading file" please suggest me what may be wrong with this now.
Also can we maintain standard SAP Object links while creating the DIR through WEBDMS, as iam not able to find the SAP Object link Tab / field while creating the DIR In WEB DMS,
(FYI, in the find documents we could find the document based on the SAP Object link Reference,) so i think there is an option to maintain SAP Object link details for the DIR getting created.

Hi Priya,
please note that in WebDocuments only the existing object links are displayed. Therefore not all maintained objects are visible but only those where links exists.
There are certain selected data sections in WebDocuments that are shown in display mode or in change mode. The following sections can only be displayed and not changed
- Data for Document key
- Data for Object Links
The following sections can be changed in WebDocuments
- Document Data
- Additional Data
- Originals
- Description
Hence when a Document Info Record is created or changed, the object links data are not shown. It is shown only in search and display mode. This is the way system is designed. You can look at the application help for more information on the web documents. Also kindly note that WebDocuments is not the complete replica of SAP GUI CV01n, CV02n or CV03n. It has some limitations when compared to SAP GUI transactions. So as no new links could be created in WebDocuments not all available objects are displayed.
I hope this information could be useful regarding the object link behavior in WebDMS.

DMS errors

We are migrating a system from NW to OES2 which includes 4 DMS libraries. 3
are ok, but one is showing some issues.
The library dates back to 1998 under GW5.1 on NW4.11 and has been through 4
physical boxes and is currently GW8.0.1 on NW6.5sp8, so it has some history
A GW search indicates the highest document number is 81,979, whilst the
properties of the DMS folder structure shows 154,615 files in 256 folders !
The libraries are currently stored OFF the PO, and prior to moving them
under the PO, TID 10100328, we ran a GWcheck - Analyze/Fix Library with
Verify Library and Verify document files checked.
This threw up the following errors:
Error 76 - Error accessing document content: Error Code = C081
Problem 86 - Inaccessible wordlist blob: error Code = C081
Uncorrectable conditions encountered:
CODE DESCRIPTION COUNT
76 Document content access errors..................... 206
Correctable conditions encountered:
CODE DESCRIPTION COUNT
86 Inaccessible wordlists marked for regeneration..... 2106
From previous experience I know that Problem 86 can normally be circumvented
by selecting the doc and creating a New Version, however I cannot find an
automated means of doing this, and don't really want to do it manually 2106
times !
We then ran a structural check and go the following results:

50 Orphaned Blob files (deleted)...................... 7
Correctable conditions encountered:

39 Unrecognized or invalid files in mail directories.. 2083

DMS ERROR HTTP - 500

Hi All,
While creating the Content Repositories with T-CODE OAC0 I am getting the following error message. We are using the HTTP Content server on Window's 2003.
If click on creat repositories then system gives this error.
So please let me know what I need to do for same since I am new in the DMS.

DMS "Error while checking in and storing"

Guys,
I am facing a problem like this.
I am doing UNIT testing in client 220 and as i am in consultant id i can able to check in the original and while saving there is no issue with DIR SAVING.
But when the core team wanna save any originals in DIR ,check in and while saving they receive a message like "Error while checking in and storing:C:\Documents and Settings\u\Desktop\New Microsoft
I feel its an authorization problem which should be given to CORE team.
Help me out how to solve this issue.

im not able to get it correctly
are you using CAD Integration or just normal cv01n
If core team needs to checkin the docu they should have autho for cv01n and in PFCG u can go to authorization and ask basis to add check in function and assign the role to Core team.

DMS Errors in PLM Web UI

Hi Folks,
I am running into errors when trying to edit an original and add an original to a DIR using the PLM Web UI (everything works fine in SAPGUI).
Upon opening the DIR (which as created in SAPGUI) I get the warning "No entry for the document maintained in viewer customizing". Not sure exactly what this is referring to and I could not find anything in customizing. If I try to edit or add an original I get the message "Inconsistent security list".
After searching forums and notes I came across note 1224097 (PLM Web User Interface: Installation of Applets) which talks about creating white lists using transaction WDR_ACF_WLIST. I am not sure if this is related to my issue, however, when I went into the transaction there was no default white lists as the note mentions. Is this typically done by basis?
Appreciate any help or suggestions you might have in getting the issue resolved. Support pack levels are mentioned below.

while i am checkin a document using storage category KPRO ,the document is getting stored but when i use SAP-SYSTEM the Document is not getting stored

Dear Parin,
based on your description I'm quite sure that in the customizing of your used document type (transaction DC10) the flag
'Use KPRO' is set. If this flag is maintained then the originals could only be stored in the content server storage category which is not SAP-SYSTEM.
SAP-SYSTEM is a non-KPRO storage alternative and I would recommend you to use the KPRO storage concept in DMS.

Dms-error-table doubt

Hello Team,
We were facing an error where we were not able to save a document in content repository. I took help of my abap friend to run one of the standard functional programs and he suggested that there are no entries maintained in tables TDW0, TDWD and TDWE. Also he said content server is windows 2008, but i find only unix (dev) files which has to be updated.
Now i am not able to know how to proceed further. Please help me.

3. While attaching the file, you are using above storage category

4. Check the table SOFFPHIO the doc ID is update after successful attaching the file
I have not done this, only today when i used SE16 and gave this table and execute i was able to find i was not able to find any doc id field there only log documents,
Please suggest me and help as i am in fix from long time on this...and my fingers are crossed please help.

DMS Error 26136 - File coule not be accessed

HI,
I am facing this issue wherein a user is getting this error "File could not be accessed- Message 26136" when trying to open the
original from SAPGUI.
Also the lock is open in the SAPGUI but the DIR Change History (Environment--> Display changes)doesnt have any entry for
the checkout of the DIR.
I have gone through all the threads in SDN for this error but none of it seems to resolve our issue.
Any help is appreciated.

After debugging I realise that its failing in this code only but there are no exceptions occurring and the value of lf_exist is INITIAL only

MESSAGE e136 WITH pf_file RAISING file_not_found.
ENDIF.
The below code is returning INITIAL value for lf_rc but there are no exceptions thrown so I conclude that the parameter values in the DC20 should be fine.I have also checked the DC20 customisings and we are using "\" only .

The original that I am trying to open is showing lock open in SAPGUI but the change history doesnt have any entry for checkout.The storage category is also dispalyed correctly.
Hope this helps you to figure out whats happening.I am kind of lost because this error is not consistent and it occurs only sometimes....

DMS error HTTP error: 411 Length Required

Hi,
I am geting following error while creating the content repository on R/3 ( ECC 5.0 ).
HTTP error: 411 Length Required
If I click on ok make I am geting next popu error as follow
HTTP error: 500 (Internal Server Error) "ContRep ZHTTP_HCP or Storage entry not defined"
As per SAP note 925327 in need to apply the kernel patch 122 our current patch level is 101.As per the note there is one short term solution i.e. use SAPHTTP. But am not geting how to do that since we dont have the much time to apply the kernel patch at this step coz our golive data is very near i.e. 23-05-2007.
So please help me.

We are receiving following error while try to view .FAX file through SAP Document viewer

Yes, We have checked in both ways, I have also followed other threads on the same issue
But not able to find the solution for the issue. We are facing the issue when we are using files scannned by Kodak Scanner i1420 in tiff format.
But If I will attach any other tiff files from directory then It can viewed through SAP Document Viewer.

make it PC front end as Default.
