DMS - printing probelm

DEar All,
I am working in the PPPI industyr and we are having DMS in our company.
We have a document type i.e BPR which we upload at CV01n transaction in MS documnet format that document under goes through 3 approval process after finaly apprval i.e QM release" we can assigne that Document in the recipe as a PRT .
We have one Z transaction with help of that Aurhtorised user can able to take the print. BUt now a days we are facing problem ralated to printing of the MS document-
1. some times page number are not printed correctly on the document.
2. Some times out 40 pages only four page got printed.
3. As we upload the documnet of 40 pages after printing it could be 60.
We are fade up these issue .....please reply .

Hi PRERNA,
does this only happen in combination with your Z transaction or also in the DMS standard transaction CV02N or CV03N if you print the attached original files?

may be this is the possiblity. that u uploaded graphiv in B&W andusing colour.

DMS printing from sapscript

Hi
I have a requirement when a user prints Bill of Lading document i need to print a document (stored in the document management) that is linked to a customer or material master.. Can you please explain me how to archive printing documents stored in DMS from sapscript.

Print probelm in po

when i use po message print,the function below,
call function 'ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINTING'
       exporting
            ix_nast        = nast
            ix_screen      = ent_screen
       importing
            ex_retco       = ent_retco
            ex_nast        = l_nast
            doc            = l_doc
       changing
            cx_druvo       = l_druvo
            cx_from_memory = l_from_memory.
data:ekko like ekko.
       ekko = l_doc-xekko.
but i cann't extract data like this:w_ebeln = ekko-ebeln,
there is a error:the data object "ekko" has no structure therefore no component called "ebeln".
would anybody tell me how can i do?

Printing Probelm

Hi,
We have developed a smartform for Voucher document printing. In print preview displaying line items only 1 time. When taking print its coming every line items 2 times. Whats the problem for that. Kindly suggest .

when printing it directly without previous print preview, do your line items come 2 times as well?
If not, you got a clear problem.

PO Printing Probelm

Hi All,
I am facing promble with mexxn Transaction code. When I generate a PO and try to print preniew but stop message appear "Company Code is not Defined". I had checked all tax code and its company and calculation schema. but cant find the solution. This message is even generate in me9f and me23n too.

DMS - Print of PDF through 'DOCUMENT_SHOW_DIRECT'

Hi
After upgrading our Adobe Acrobat from version 5 to 7, we can't any longer print our attached PDF-documents.
We have created a program, based upon PSFC_DOCLINK_DIST, where we print various types of documents, Word, Excel, PDF and so on.
The print-process is started when a production-order is printed.
When using Adobe Acrobat 5 this also worked for PDF-documents.
Does anyone have any clue of whats wrong?

DMS: Print mutiple Documents(originals) through CV04n List of DIRS directl

Hi All,
Is it possible to Print Multiple documents through cv04n list of douments, i.e i will select the documents from the list, say 10 documents & click on the print tab. When i tried it prints only the frist document(original), how can print the all selected documents in one go.
Is there any config or any userexist & badi for that?
Help will be appriciated.

Hi Nishant,
Multiple originals printing is not possible in std SAP, since it involves Multiple application types (like cad,word,excel) and multiple drawing sheet sizes (A3&A4).
You need to go for a third party software which provides this solution and support. You can be in touch with following solution providers.

2. Seal systems. (http://www.sealsystems.de/com/outputman/engineering_printing.php)

DMS Images in SmartForms

Hello form gurus,
We are storing images in DMS, and would like to embed them in a SmartForm. Is there a certain function module that will let us pull objects out of the DMS and use it in the form? We can upload in any graphic file format (BMP, JPG, TIFF), but we cannot find a way to get the object and embed into a form.
Any help is appreciated very much.

Unable to print office 2010 document to the printer.

Due to MS office upgrade to 2010, i am unable print document. I am using CV120_START_APPLICATION function module but with this i am able see print preview only.

You see, this is what happens when the question doesn't have sufficient information to provide an intelligent answer. You're saying "i am unable to print document", but what document? From where? What have you already tried to resolve this yourself (maybe try another FM?)? And what is the actual question?
Simply by looking at the FM description I gather it has something to do with DMS. If you go to Google and type in 'DMS print document site:scn.sap.com' there are 1000+ hits. Are none of them helpful?
Going forward, kindly refer to this blog and this one before posting a question.

Unable to print JPG

Experts,
I have been unable to print a jpeg file in DMS. Initially, when I tried to open the JPG in DMS, we received an error stating the viewer program could not be found. So I changed the Worstation Application setting for JPG to use the SAP integrated viewer. Now I can open the file and view it, but I am still unable to print it. Any ideas?

I have setup the workstation application in DC30 according to this wiki, including type 3. The JPG is now viewable in CV03N, but when I click on the original document, and press the print button, nothing happens. However, if I go into the dropdown menu "Viewer" and select the Print option, it does print.
I don't know why it prints from the document viewer options but not from the DMS print.

Document in DMS can not be printed using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW

Hi Experts,
We've been using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW in the program to get the document in DMS and set value of import parameter 'PF_APPTP' to 3 to make the document to be printed.
But after our system upgraded to ECC6.0, the document could not be printed, only displayed in the screen.
Could you please tell me anything has changed to cause the issue?

Print from DMS directly

hi all,
    i have a requirement that document should be printed directly from DMS. i came to kno from someone that there is s program named MCDOKPRT which can solve my problem. But i tried that program, it is giving me some text and not displaying or printing the actual document which has been loaded using the Tcode CV01n.
Pls help

Hi Kshitij,
If you want to print originals directly from a DMS transaction (CV02N or CV03N)
it is necessary that you have defined workstation application type "3" (print) for the relevant workstation application and the frontend type in transaction DC30.
Further it is necessary that your Windows folder options are also maintained correctly. Please see the following sample for the direct print of PDF files:
I would recommend to do the following steps:
1. Open Microsoft Explorer
2. Menue: Tools   > Folder options   > File types
3. Select "PDF" and press button "Advanced"
4. There should be a input called "print". If there is no such entry
   please create it by pressing the button "New"
5. Into the action field please insert "print" and to application used..
   write the Acrobat application path (see sample picture attached)
Back to SAP system at transaction DC30:
1. Select "PDF" and then select "define Workstation application"
2. Edit entry: PC    PDF    3 (application type)    %Auto%
3. Save
After creating this settings the pdf document should be printed by
directly. Only the empty Reader (without displaying a file) opens.
